Yeah. Way I do it is launch firefox with --profilemanager as args and uncheck 'use as default profile.' then every time you launch ff it should let you choose profiles and they'll be two separate instances

Chrome's manifest v3 (MV3) for extensions removes the ability to block WebRequest which is the key to stuff like ublock's proactive content-blocking. Firefox keeps that capability (while also supporting MV3). Currently the chrome sunset date for MV2 is indefinitely paused and adblockers for chrome-MV3 do exist so it's not a huge issue, but by all accounts they're more limited (some of these are probably fixable, some are hard limitations) compared to MV2 blockers.
