ahh thank you! i have one i made a few months ago, but it’s worth an update (also read this one bc its so good):

sword of fate, pride of heart [3/3] sokka flirts over zoom, and jeong jeong breaks the university’s code of ethics // as someone whos currently doing zoom classes, this is cathartic. also my GOD how FUN this fic is… god i just love the realism and sweetness between these two. also, bonus, the dilfs pianjeong are possibly the best part of the fic sksks.

spring comes to caldera [2/2] the boys are pininggggg // look, as you’ll see as a running theme-- i enjoy mutual pining and softness. also, i enjoy when people actually look into sokka’s self imposed idea of duty, which this does! 

ignition point [1/1] sokkas a late bloomer and zuko might be running a groupon. // so this is the sokka is a firebender fic-- and i was skeptical too BUT the writings… so good. and the characterization of sokka is spot on, AND it’s just so charming. please read this.

in the soft light [9/9] zukos the first fire nation representative in the northern water tribe after his uncle ended the war; sokkas the prince, blessed by the spirts, who doesn’t get what the big deal is. // I WAS OBSESSED WITH THIS FIC FOR WEEKS!! probably my favorite of the moon spirit au fics, with the added benefit of great zuko and yue characterization. I cannot express my love for this fic enough.

we had a moment, we had a summertime [2/2] sokka meets a boy in a tea shop. meanwhile, there are firebenders in ba sing se. // this fic has everything - sokka being oblivious, pseudo mistaken identity, ba sing se, zuko developing a crush on the first boy ever nice to him. this fic feels like summertime idk how to describe that.

this feelings going to my head [1/1] in which they “fake” date in ba sing se // i love ba sing se fics idk what to tell you. This literally feels like it could fit into s2 so well, it’s such a snug, wonderfully built fic that i find myself always coming back to.

i'm a patchwork, but you’re my thread [1/1] zuko ruminates on the nature of soulmates. // i’m sure youve noticed a theme in my favorite zuko centric fics, but zuko evaluating his relationship with himself and the universe… very sexy love that. sokka and iroh are also particularly delightful here. also the writing is absolutely beautiful.

blue’s clues [1/1] in which sokka is kind of louis lane and zuko is kind of superman // BLUE SPIRIT FICS ARE A GOLD MINE OKAY. the blue spirit is a campus vigilante and sokka is a journalism student whos obsessed with them. zuko and sokka also live together and pine together. literally what more could you want.

again theres so much good content out there, like throw a stone you will find an amazing fic ♥

to begin with, they take too long to say it to each other in the first place. but sabine is the one that says it first eventually

not to be Cliche but i’ve always hced that at first they had kind of a rivalry in some of their classes at the academy, but they’re put together as roommates and slowly become friends and develop crushes (mutual pininggggg), and once they decide to leave the academy together they kinda realize it to themselves, but keep it to themselves until they’ve actually left

22. Where does their first kiss happen?

sort of in line with my last answer, they first kiss when they officially leave the empire and are home free, and it’s the classic “in a moment of excitement/happiness” kiss where sabine kisses ketsu

EMMA??? Oh my god😭🦋🦋🦋 this review was so dang lovely that I read it so many times before actually replying.. the blog title thing made me cackle though HAHAHA

BUT YEAH IM SORRY😫 I know the angst was turned up sO much from the previous chapters. Even enough to make this one seem completely different. But we’re at a point of “finality” for both of them, which always has a different air to it. So that’s why.

And I totally get the 2am thing!! Such a specific emotion and gosh having the bro not show up really does feel like that. We had our time together.

THE MUTUAL PININGGGGG HELP MEEEE all of those scenes took all of me to write but I hope I conveyed the right amount of emotion and the types of emotions I wanted to. They are so clearly perfect for each other but the things holding them back are making them not see that… it’s so ARGHHHH🤕 I just wanna hold them both and tell them it’s okay.

Exactly!! I love how you pointed out the deja vu part because yeah. The vast difference between the first and second time—despite them being similar on paper—is humongous. The growth can be seen just from those two scenes alone and it’s damn crushing🥺 I will join you in that puddle of tears because I am still the same.. thank you so much for reading and for this lovely commentary😭😭😭 I appreciate you so dang much !

Miaaaaa I’m in for RJ summer series omg your ideaaaa 💯✨✨I suddenly remembered the song Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard 🥺 it’d fit the story so much if it’s childhood friends to lovers and MUTUAL PININGGGGG

there will be mutual pining, lots of it! but you know that episode of The Mindy Project where Jamie (played by B.J. Novak) is in love with his childhood best friend as an homage to When Harry Met Sally, or that episode of New Girl when Sam finds out that Diane has been in love with him since before going to Doctors without Border as an homage to Cheers? Think of the reader as Mindy Lahiri and Jessica Day - not the best friend who the guy (Renjun) is in love with, but the one he falls in love with (because the title of this fic is fallin' for ya, the song from Teen Beach Movie). It should be ... a warning that, like, he's not destined for the reader as indicated through all these references lol, but that's not going to happen. They're going to end up together. All of my fics have the reader ending up with the nct member, and there will never be a fic that I write where they don't end up together (I hope this isn't a spoiler); it's just that the fic will have angst on both ends - Renjun's and the reader's!

I don't know why but I always make Renjun have the angsty plots ... weird
