Anya and Damian were on push-up #68 when their handler gave a wistful, pathetic, sigh above their heads.

Glancing up, Anya caught the heave of Watkin's chest and mentally bet that there was moony eyes behind those mirror aviators.

Damian caught Anya's hesitation on her rhythm and glanced up too, catching Watkin's head tilt ever-so -slightly off to the hanger.

"I can't hear you." Bazooka Bill drilled, a little too hastily- noticing his own distraction.

"69! 70! 71!..."

Turns out, that wistful sigh was due to a serious crush on the civilian contact that the Captain brought in.

"You can call me Becky." The bombshell started, her heels clicking on the concrete as she passed out schematics. "I'm here to debrief you on the Westalis AD-18..."

"You saw it too right?" Snacks said as he slid in next to Damian in the canteen. "Bazooka is down. Down bad!"

Scion- Damian- nodded. "She's way out of his league."

Stella- Anya- hummed and crunched on peanuts. "You never know."

Grounded. For fighting in the hanger. Scion and Stella had been going at it like cats and dogs in the air and on land.

So they ended up getting front row tickets for when Becky nearly broke her neck down the stairs just outside the lounge.

Like a train wreck, the enemies watched as her toe slipped, pitching her body down, her hands nowhere near the rail. By the time they had opened the door, she had been caught, draped across Bazooka's arms like an especially saucy romance book cover.

The man's face was beet red and he kept his big hands on her shoulders well after they righted the damsel.

"Well I think I owe you dinner now." Becky laughed, sliding a little white card into the breast pocket above her head. "Say... the cafe on Trent at 7?"

The grounded pilots stifled the urge to giggle as Bill made an accurate imitation of a bobblehead.
