Okay so like, Mutant Mayhem poster right.
Tumblr media
The figure on the water tower.
Tumblr media
I’m thinking Shredder, Karai, or Casey.
It kinda looks like a hockey stick, sure but like. Most Casey’s don’t pose like that.
It could also be a sword, so that’d mean probably Karai or the Shredder.
But we’ve already seen Shredder at the end scene, we know he’s the next threat. So, it’s probably him. You can kinda see his headpiece aswell so yeah,,,, it’s probably him.

Give me something i have some theories of my own and they are... well 😅😅 ALL negative, bc like now that (MUTANT MAYHEM SPOILERS ahead if you haven't seen the Movie yet) they are accepted by society and they go to school this Is the FIRST TIME in the ENTIRE franchise that our Boys (i'm so PROUD of them🥹🥹🥹) can be normal teenagers and this Is new for them and for us Fans too, this ALL NEW territory so like new opportunities to tell new things, new stories. And After that post credit scene, i'm sooooo scared!!!! And as i was saying before new opportunities to HURT THEM in new ways😭😭😭😭😭😭 like this Is only the beggining of the TRAUMA they're gonna have😭😭😭😭 and i have sooooo many thoughts and they are ALL negative!!! I can't, i Just want my Boys to be Happy. After that post credit scene the First film give the vibe " Oh see this Is how they were mutated and this Is they're story and look, now they are accepted by society isn't that cute aaaawwwww!!! You should look behind your backs now bc you never know what's gonna hit you eheheheheh this Is only the beggining have fun😚😚😚" (i Imagine Jeff Rowe and Seth rogen talking to us like this😅😅😅) like, do you get me Please tell me i'm not the only One that thought of that PLEASE. Like the First film was traumatic for the Boys obv duh! but at the same time you feel It was too calm you know what i mean right!!?!!!!. So yeah tell me your theories i Need something

It’s the Mighty Mutanimals
(This is about Mutant Mayhem)
The “crime syndicate and army of mutants” wiki describes
Based on they very little we know about Mutant Mayhem, it’s the common theory that the majority of the film will be fighting smaller villains, and be much lower stakes than previous TMNT projects (no saving the world yet) and the foot and Shredder will be more of a looming threat for future Seth Rogan-verse projects
smaller villains like the evil league of mutants
But an army of mutants?? Isn’t that the basis for the IDW Mighty Mutanimals? An army to fight humans? To protect mutants?
We know for sure(ish) (mostly based on toy order leaks) that Bebop, Rocksteady, Leatherhead, and Baxter stockman, will make an appearance
But what if the rest of this army is the more common Mutanimals?? I mean Leatherhead was on that team
Slash?? Old hob?? Pigeon Pete???
Alopex isn’t apart of that team but I’m still hoping she’ll be included too

YESSSS OMG BRO YESSSSS I’VE BEEN MEANING TO MAKE A POST ABOUT THIS BUT NEVER GOT AROUND INTO DOING IT SINCE I FELT THE NEED TO ADD SCREENSHOTS BUT NEVER GOT ANY. BROOO SOMETHINGS GONNA HAPPEN TO MIKEY I KNOW IT. I KNOW IT. THAT WAS WAY TOO MUCH FORESHADOWING MY DUDE. Also! The way they focused on MIKEY on the angsty scenes! Like the scene at the beginning, where they want to be in the real world. The fact that he was the FIRST one to get milked and was in so much pain he cried and couldnt even think of pizza. Then the fight scene with Super Duper Fly, where everything was ringing, where Donnie LITERALLY yells MIKEY. ITS TOO REAL AND I HATE THAT MY BABYY 😭
I wonder if the Cars in mutant Mayhem that keep trying to hit Mikey is supposed to foreshadow it because that amount of times is comical.
I think we’re all in agreement that it’s DEFINITELY foreshadowing there’s no way in hell this mf isn’t getting ran over (also when u said cars and it was capitalized I thought of Lightning McQueen running over Mikey Im so sorry)

I am very, very interested in Leo’s dynamic with his brothers in TMNT: Mutant Mayhem. Specifically, that first scene with the watermelon. In previous versions, Leo has fit in easily with his brothers, and with the exception of Rise, was always the most responsible and serious of the turtles. This hasn’t usually been an issue, and though it’s caused tensions in the 2012 show, he’s always had fun with them.
Tumblr media
He’s in the background, drawn into himself. He seems like he wants to join in the fun but doesn’t know how. He feels isolated, he’s lonely. Keep in mind that this is how I’m reading his body language based on past experience.
Tumblr media
Look at this scene as Raph throws the star at Miley. His shoulders are hunched up, and he’s sitting on his hands. He’s trying to hide, to make himself as small as possible. This is a pose I struck many times when I was in elementary school, the worst time of my life. I sat on my hands, that I remember vividly. I wanted to disappear into myself, to curl up until I was so small I stopped existing and didn’t have to exist anymore. Maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but I do feel that he is anxious and trying to hide.
Tumblr media
And he IS anxious. He’s very quickly demonstrated to worry more than he has in past iterations. He seems to struggle to place authority over the others, to make them care about things as much as he does. This reminds me of Raph is Rise, his struggle in the movie to keep Leo responsible and under control. It’s interesting.
Tumblr media
And let’s look at that isolation aspect again. In this frame, Donnie and Mikey are looking at the video of Raph slicing a watermelon in half. Leo is several paces behind them, his head upturned like he’s trying to see the video. He’s hesitant, demonstrating something akin to social anxiety. A desperation to fit in, have fun, and interact with others, but unsure of how to.
Tumblr media
Then at the next frame, it’s clear several second have passed. Leo isn’t standing on Donnie’s left side like he looked like he wanted to. Instead, Raph is there. Donnie and Mikey don’t seem to have noticed. Then, on the next frame, he’s leaning against a wall behind Donnie looking frustrated. His arms are crossed and he’s looking around like he doesn’t know what to do with himself. I see this having occurred in one of two ways:
One: Raph doesn’t notice how bad Leo wanted to join them, because he simply doesn’t care to notice. Leo isn’t exactly part of the group, so it feels natural for the other three to huddle around a phone and not notice that there’s no space for Leo
Two: Raph did it on purpose. He sees that Leo wants to join Don and Mikey, and he takes the spot to purposefully isolate Leo. Maybe he even smirks back at Leo before suggesting the ninja stars, effectively distracting Don and Mikey and severing Leo from the activity. I don’t have an exact reason for why he would do this, but considering past versions of Raph, it seems possible.
Please be aware that these are my personal observations and predictions. Nothing in the movie is quite solid yet, and I think that’s a good thing. Please give me any counter arguments or theories you have.
Cannot wait for this movie!!! Have a wonderful day.

"Jackie Chan as Splinter-" "Gumball as Donnie-" "Where's Casey-"
GUYS.
BAXTER STOCKMAN IS VOICED BY GUS FROM BREAKING BAD.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image IDs:
Image 1: an edited version of the "I will kill your family" scene from Breaking Bad, in which Gustavo Fring stands menacingly above Walter White, threatening him. Instead of the usual dialogue, Gus says, "I will kill your turtle. I will kill your turtle. I will. Kill. Your teenage. Turtle."
Image 2: an edited version of a Breaking Bad scene in which Walter White is worrying about a fly in the lab. He sits on the ground and says, "This fly is a major problem for us." In the very corner is Baxter Stockman, in his mutated fly form from TMNT 2012.

The first screenshot shows the letters "RUL" engraved into the handle on the right.
The second screenshot shows the letters "CONSEQUE" engraved into the handle on the left.
The third and fourth screenshots show what appears to be the word "RULES" on the handle on the right.
The fifth screenshot shows both handles with the words "CONSEQUENCES" and "RULES" mostly fully visible on the handles, except for a few letters in the middle obscured by the blades.

Mutant Mayhem theory regarding shredder ( spoilers sort of ? )
Tumblr media
Just a quick speculation of mine when i watched the mid credit scene : That the shredder could potentially be a krang / utrom
While it could just be that the krang and shredder are separate entities and are in kahoots like always, the way Cynthia introduced shredder ( to me IMO ) treated him almost like a weapon / method to capturing the turtles
She objectifies shredder when talking about him "Bring me the shredder" almost as if the shredder already serves under the utrom and can be utilized whenever
This isn't that far of a possibility seeing that TMNT 2003 did this with their shredder -> ends up being a rogue utrom who inhabits the body of shredder/oruko saki
All be it this could've been just to hype up shredder and to emphasize on how much of a threat he'll be so I could totally be off about this scene
i lowkey wanna see it go this direction yet this idea might be redundant seeing as mutant mayhem seems to be changing the formula a lot ( in the best way )
what do u guys think??

(Mutant Mayhem spoilers!!!)
Thinking abt how in the big fight against Superfly Raph must feel so goddamn guilty. Like, after he fucked up the shot w/ the de-mutating thing, like imagine your brothers getting whole ass cars thrown at them and almost getting hit because of you. Or at least that’s what you believe if you blame yourself for everything (totally not projecting)
Sidenote I really wish Raph had more lines in MM, just like, more to establish him as a character bc it really feels like he got sidelined. They just say “oh yeah anger issues” but I remember someone making the point that he’s really just excitable. Like, I see that lil man and I see myself in a way? He just like, isn’t super angry, he’s excited to fight, that’s basically It.

all that math to figure out the turtles age was crazy bro ngl
So maybe you can help me out with this one
WHY THE FUCK ARE THE TURTLES 15 BUT THE MUTANTS LIEK SUPERFLY ARE ADULTS
It never fucking made sense to me in the theater
15 years ago
🤨
SUPERFLY does not look 15
Help me out here please explain this to my dumbass
Starting off imma say Im also really confused, my assumption is that since they are different species they aged differently considering their shorter lifespans. I also think it's cause Baxter spliced dna of multiple animals to create those mutants as stated in his notes, so it's possible they have less human dna than the ooze that mutated the turtles affecting their age.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To be fair I'm mostly pulling this outta my ass considering they didn't provide a great explanation for it either.
If I'm feeling ambitious later I'll do the math but math isn't mathing rn mb.

Splinter’s secret (of the ooze)
A random mutant mayhem thought/theory I’ve kicked around lately, all starting from the voice announcement cards
Tumblr media
Almost all of the voice announcement cards show a green glow from the ooze, but Splinter’s card is the only one that’s literally dripping with it.
This could suggest that the ooze and subsequent mutations had a profound impact on him; this is true for all splinters, esp 2012 and rise. For MM Splinter especially though, the impact and trauma of the ooze may be very pronounced for this iteration. As well there does appear to be some mystery to the ooze/turtles origins in this movie.
Tumblr media
The turtles seem to know only the basics of their mutations, [April] saying that they “were baby turtles who came in contact with mystery goo.” Yet, there does appear to be lab/experiment indications for the turtles origins; Raph notably has a 6 printed on his shoulder, Baxter Stockman and the utroms are involved, and there appears to be at least one other turtle out there besides the boys.
Tumblr media
There isn’t too much to go on, I believe Splinter may be keeping some details of his boys’ origins from themselves (likely to protect them). It’s possible there’s another explanation, but I would be really interested if they go this route. The lab/experiment origins idea is underutilized imo
Regardless im absolutely beggin the mm team to confirm this, i wanna see it please 🙏

Some of the aspects of MM was similar to older franchises, not things like IDW or Rise. Splinter being a rat that mutated (rather than a human) is one of them. This is the case in 1984 Mirage comics, 1987 cartoon, 1990s movies, and the 2003 cartoon. The Shredder's design has the same colour scheme as 1987 with purple and dark grey. The turtle's belts with their initials on the buckle are referencing the 1987 design. Overall, there are a lot of elements referring back to the oldest versions.
The concept of being able to suck mutagen out of the turtles goes back to the 1984 Mirage comics: in Issues 24-26 a tapeworm attaches to Raph and starts to drink his blood. As it drains the mutagen therein, it mutates into a humanoid called Bloodsucker and Raph un-mutates back to a regular turtle. For the entire story arc in these issues, Raph is a tiny regular turtle with barely any of his identity left behind.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Similarly, the scientists in Mutant Mayhem 2023 made a retro-mutagen which un-mutated Superfly back into a regular fly at the end. I believe 2012 was the introduction of the concept of retro-mutagen, but I may be wrong since many of the timelines intersect.
Anyways, I am betting my hypothetical money and crossing my fingers that one of the turtles are going to be un-mutated for a period of time as a part of the plot in the 2nd movie. One reason I think that is because they showed the un-mutated Superfly. I do not think Superfly is going to become the main villain, that role is hinted with the foreshadowing of the Shredder. I think they showed Superfly to draw attention to the fact that he survived and became a perfectly normal fly. With the importance of the retro-mutagen emphasized, it is likely to be brought up again in the 2nd movie. Someone is going to get un-mutated, and it is going to be someone important.
If the small family dynamic continues in the 2nd movie, I am betting that it will be either Raphael or Splinter. Splinter, being their dad, is their source of safety. It provides the opportunity for character development if the kids have to fight the Shredder alone because Splinter is a normal rat. If Raph was the one to mutate, it could be a reference, or because he and Leo are the most "generic" of the TMNT. But because Leo seems to be more of a main character than the others, and the hinting of romantic development, it would be disappointing if he was indisposed for the rest of the 2nd movie.
If they capitalize off the big family dynamic with the presence of Superfly's relatives who joined their family, then it is likely that these guys will get picked off one by one -- including Splinter-- and the "crisis" in the hero's journey would likely the turtles left completely alone with everyone else un-mutated, and/or the brothers are separated from each other. Then their solve the problem and get back together and fight the villain, etc etc.
This was just a really long way of saying I like the 1984 comics and I am hoping to get a reference. It is probably not going to happen, but then it could be one more thing to add to my really long slideshow about the development of the TMNT franchise.
