waited around two hours for her, worth it
her in "human" form🫦
her in mutant form🫦
tho rookie mistake miranda telling rose shes too powerful but lets be fr their fight was mostly gun just like ethan's, shouldve been rose's raw power bc a gun defeating this woman is offensive
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
also miranda lowkey had as one of her theories that an external force was stopping the clones from working
ethan my boy she wouldve left your real daughter alone if fake rose succeeded, think a little pls
again another show of her powers, she says she created the world inside the mold (cant spell the name guys), and then she was defeated by a gun ?????
she is the one who truly lived out of simple wish to see her daughter again, she's the perseverance, shes brave by becoming a literal scientist in 1918. girl almost died twice and came back for her daughter
if she can still love we'll never know bc poor girl never got there, but just imagine being a woman in the early 1900, she became a scientist, managed to isolate a whole village for over 100 years and became a religious figure, her mind is just extraordinary god i need more of her
do u guys understand how hard it must have been??? i literally got a headache rn

Too close to the Sun
Written by clairvoyanteyes
Author's note: Native language is not English.
Alcina wasn't usually the one to go hunt for supper: normally, it was her daughters to bring the prey or even just her maids with some extra help. This time though she needed the distraction. Mother Miranda had belittled her in front of the other Lords and that didn't sit well with Alcina. Especially considering all she had given to her and Miranda's cause.
But Dimitrescu could not react and establish dominance upon the scientist, she knew too well not to do that. Miranda was an experiment herself and was indeed very powerful, not to mention revengeful. Had Alcina confronted her in front of the others, Miranda would have made her pay dearly and if she were to remove the implanted Cadou, like she threatened Moureau before, Alcina wouldn't have any chance of survival. She was well aware of that.
Her human body didn't have any strength left after the blood disease spread throughout it. She would probably die in a few hours were she to be cured of the virus. A sigh escaped her lips, who would be taking care of her girls then? No. She needed to think properly, she couldn't let her temper taking over. Bela, Daniela and Cassandra needed her. They needed her presence and guidance for they were three little lost souls and her responsibility.
They were her children...
Taking flight from one of the castle's balcony after reshaping, she went right for the village, her hunting grounds. A piercing scream echoed in the sky as her alabaster form descended upon the unfortunate souls. She hunted, she chased, she killed. Propped on a small building while feasting on her victim, her eyes glanced all around as the chaos continued.
The villagers were running in every direction, attempting to escape the fate she had written for them. Blood trickled down the sides of her mouth and beast's, as she consumed her revitalizing meal. Watching the mortals running for their lives caused her to laugh. Her claws claiming a few more bodies, which she held prisoners underneath her weight, waiting to be consumed.
Her alabaster form was shining under the moonlight. Tiny spectacles of light reflecting all around her as she continued feeding. She wanted to scream, to laugh. She was powerful and these men feared her greatly. The legends of the monster depicted on the Dimitrescu gate were real and it was for all of them to witness.
She was a force of nature and could not be stopped.

Chris Redfield and Hound Wolf Squad
when Chris is going further into the village one of his men and I quote "I've never heard of a mutamycete colony growing so huge"
Tumblr media
and to me this comment goes for two things
1 there are more colonies in the world (considering RE's herbs specifically the green ones and how well they heal it makes sense)
2 two types of mold the one engineered by the connections and miranda as Miranda did her own experiments and created the cadou (? i think that's how you spell it?) and the other is natural untouched

It's mildly fascinating how there's a certain set of people who are convinced that Miranda was just this sweet innocent person before she was "corrupted" by the mold. They're looking at this story through the preconceived notion that evil is something that's foreign and invasive, rather than something that everyone has the potential to commit.
If there's one common theme in the Resident Evil franchise, it's that the extremely human qualities of vanity, arrogance, and self-interest are major reasons why people do fucked up things. So many of the villains are convinced that they have the right to turn living people into commercial products, and even remake humanity entirely - presumably in a way that serves their own personal interests.
Who is Miranda but any mother who believes that her precious little girl deserves the world? And in the ways she treats her "adopted" children and positions herself as the mother of a village she ultimately discards once it's no longer useful to her, is she not in some ways comparable to a mommy blogger who makes motherhood her entire personality while exploiting and abusing her children?
The notion that an organism that's just been sitting around passively collecting people's memories and even giving people a sort of afterlife for centuries (if not longer) is the real evil here is absurd.
It does, however, point to very specific beliefs about the nature of evil: that it is intrinsically foreign and invasive, rather than something that everyone is born with the potential for.

Would Eveline be in any real danger of dying in The Last of Us? I mean, I feel like at worst she gets bit and even then I feel like the mold already inside her would kill the cordyceps immediately. Or not. I'm not someone who studies fungus so idk
Ok so two different tracks right. If we’re picturing a true TLoU AU where Ethan and Eveline take Joel and Ellie’s places in that story then Eveline would have no more protection than Ellie would etc etc.
If we’re pitching a hybrid au that blends TLoU setting with TtVtL + RE7’s story and background, with a cordyceps outbreak like in TLoU but with Eveline still being mutamycete bioweapon… she would have considerable protection and I would presume her natural biology would prevent a cordyceps infection. That said Clickers are still a danger to Ellie in TLoU so it’s not unreasonable to say that while Eveline would also be immune in a sense, Clickers could still pose a physical threat to her bc they literally tear people apart. That then would just come down to who moves quicker in physical combat: Eveline and her mold or the Clicker.

if you were a deity, what would you be the god of ?

flora and fauna : you’re friendly and a benevolent force to those who respect you and your domain, but a true force to be reckoned with to those who disrespect or threaten the balance of the natural world. the forest is nothing to fear for those who take care of it, but it isn’t uncommon for people to go missing with only their faces outlined in the bark on a tree.

Sequel of Winters and the Beast, a Resident Evil: Village Story
Table Of Contents
Tumblr media
Karl knew they would be making a horrible, gambling mistake if he forced Eva and Ethan to yank his brother from the Mutamycete and put him into the world right there in the parlor at 3am.  He knew , logistically, that they needed to plan things.
But the want, the soaring hope, was there, and he’d insisted on taking the crystal to the master bedroom–his former room–even though he couldn’t touch it without an unpleasant, painful sting that made his head and ears ring and seep black fluid.  Eva put the crystal on a high shelf above an ornate wall mirror that, until today, Karl had ignored completely.
He now stared back and forth, between his own scarred face in the mirror, and the slightly luminescent crystal on the shelf.  Imagining having his brother there, in the flesh-as it were.  Heisenberg’s mind surged with possibilities.  He’d rarely dreamed about anything this recklessly; he was almost buzzing with happiness.  Not even his frustration with Ethan being a constant threat to his own health, or his distaste at Alcina’s arrival could rile his spirits.
For once, Karl felt something different than bitter resentment or righteous anger surging through his charged veins.  It was new, wild, out of control.  Hope.
Karl passed out on his former bed while Ethan quietly left the wine and glass outside Alcina’s door with a quiet knock.
Heisenberg didn’t wake up when the blond crawled in bed beside him and also fell into a deep sleep.
—------------
Salvatore was content to take the sofa, and passed out as soon as the rest of the group departed.
Donna picked the dark-haired child up and carried her as she moved toward the hallway.  She paused, unsure where she should take the girl, and Eva supplied from behind her with a supportive smile, “I’m sure she’d love to stay with you.  You made her very happy with the horseback ride.  Do you feel comfortable taking care of her tonight?”
Donna beamed, and then hugged the heavy bundle of limbs and torso that draped over her.  “I do. She feels so familiar to me. Maybe she reminds me of Claudia.  I’m not sure.”
“I sense a bond between you two,” Eva affirmed.  They began moving toward the staircase, and Donna hesitated, wondering if she could speak.  The calm, friendly face of Eva spurred her forward, and she exhaled quickly, “I….do you…sense, something else?”
“What do you mean?”
Donna actually paused, and lowered her voice as she glanced around the hallway.  She wasn’t sure where the others were, and didn’t want anyone to overhear them.  “Ever since we returned from the field, I feel…something is wrong, different.  It’s not the child,” she added quickly, stroking the girl’s long black hair with her pale hand.  “And it is not anything I can place within myself or another.”
“I do feel dread,” Eva admitted, her very Miranda-like eyes narrowing in thought as she considered.  “I suppose I attributed it to my mother’s actions tonight…the chaos….”
“It’s not that,” Donna said more resolutely.  “I know her moods, her…effect on others.  This is different.  I feel something dark, brewing from within.  Perhaps the Mutamycete is….” Dark lashes fluttered closed.  “Dark water, flowing over rocks, smooth, but deadly.  Like a ghost within us, a tearing curtain, a growing void.  Something is missing from us tonight, or else, something is coming toward us.”
Eva’s expression was grim, and she gripped Donna’s other hand.  “I understand.  I believe you.  You can sense these things best.”  She seemed to consider something else, and then added, “You used to see such things, even as a child, did you not?  You were treated, given medication, due to visions and prophecies.  This is a part of you.”
“Yes,” Donna’s voice was even more hollow and sad than usual; her mouth pulled into a sorrowful frown.  “Sometimes I have feelings…or see things…before they become reality.  My mother called it our gift, but the village elders and pupils were not kind about it.  It was seen as heresy.”  She left out the most egregious part, which Eva had already witnessed long ago–Miranda had sent Donna away, to a cruel institution, for a time to “cure” her of these visions, feelings, and claims.
The wind howled outside.  Eva brought Donna’s hand into both of hers.  “I believe you, Donna.  I am glad you told me.  Let us work on finding out what this means, after we sleep.”
“Yes,” Donna said again, and gripped Eva’s hands tightly.
She realized, as they exchanged one final uncertain smile, that she'd never spoken as an adult about her visions.  Miranda’s ‘treatment’ caused Donna to cease speaking about them altogether.  That she could share was comforting, in the face of a foreboding unknown.
—----------
Karl felt two things when he awoke, bleary-eyed, and peered through the shadows of not-yet-morning darkness.  One was freezing cold hands exploring his thighs and hips, delicately-but not too delicately.  The other was Ethan’s groin, lodged so closely behind him that they were practically melded together–specifically, the other man was hard, and was not hiding it as he pushed his hips forward again.
Karl grunted in discomfort, not at the touch, but at how frozen Ethan felt.  He was unnaturally icy.  When Karl glanced down, he could barely make out blackened tips of fingers.  The engineer was uneasy, but said nothing.  The night had been a lot for all of them–time would hopefully help.
“Still mad at me?” Ethan whispered when he realized Karl was awake.  The brunette relaxed at the soft voice, dropping his head back onto the pillow and closing his eyes again.  “Yep.”
“Can I make it up to you?”
—---------
Ethan must have been just as exhausted as Karl; he moved within the brunette slowly, lazily.  He’d entered him from behind, and they stayed curled in the embraced position while Karl’s sharp, breathy notes matched the blond’s indulgent strokes.  The engineer only spoke once, a rather strained utterance of Papa , which drew Ethan toward the plush lips, where he expressed his hunger, his tongue invasive, commanding, and bitingly cold.
After the early reprieve, (so early that dawn hadn’t arrived, as they were still cloaked in darkness) Ethan kept his body wrapped around Karl, stayed inside of him, and buried his chin into the wide shoulder.
“Less mad?”
“Mhm.”  He sighed, his voice heavy with sleepiness and post-orgasm haze.  Karl didn’t even have the energy or will to drag either of them to the shower.  He would just lay here until he fell asleep again.  Last night was a long night, too long.  But as he began to drift back to sleep, content with the chill of Ethan around and even inside of him, something changed.  It was like a wave across the bed, a cold blast of air.  Heisenberg’s eyes slowly opened again and he glanced uncertainly around the black room.  Had it been this dark a moment ago?  The curtains rocked gently, as if there were a breeze.  But the windows were closed.
He’d thought the blond was asleep, judging from the shallow breaths.  But a strange monotone issued, lips behind Karl’s ear.
“Tell me what you did with it.”
Heisenberg didn’t have to ask what.  The conversation had come up in the parlor.  Ethan wanted Heisenberg’s crystal fragment.  It was a failsafe for his consciousness, maybe.  He knew that Ethan saw it that way.  To create a person from a piece of a separate, powerful crystal, had never been done by Miranda or anyone after her.  But Heisenberg didn’t dare shoot down the blond’s inhuman resoluteness; it was a solid theory.  But it didn’t matter–the one topic that Heisenberg refused to approach was anything related to that fragment.
“Ethan,” Karl sighed, burying his head back into his pillow, trying to loosen himself from the chilly grip of the mold man.  “Everything is fine.  I can’t do this….Not now.”
“Now,” Ethan said in that same even, un-Ethan like tone, holding on tightly to Karl.  He’d clutched the older man like this before, though not in a long time.  After they first became intimate, there was a certain desperation that erupted from Ethan sometimes, an overwhelm of need for physical reassurance, and Karl had always been content to let it manifest.  He didn’t mind consoling the pillar of family strength.  Ethan had been through a lot.
So he relented, allowing the clinging posture across his form.  Heisenberg sighed, and settled into the mattress.  Despite his high tolerance for-maybe sometimes, his enjoyment of–physical neediness, nobody could out-stubborn him, not even Ethan Winters.  Telling Heisenberg to do something was the fastest way to ensure that it would never happen.  His eyes closed.  Just as a brief period of silence lulled him into false relaxation, the blond rolled, moving on top of him, and pushed Karl onto his back.
The brunette’s eyes opened and he stared, confused, as the dark silhouette of Ethan rose on top of him.  Ethan pushed down forcefully on his shoulders.
Something wasn’t right.
Ethan’s weight was too much, too strong.  Heisenberg, who had plenty more strength than normal men, couldn’t even toss him aside.  And his hands, pressing into Karl’s body, were freezing.  He could feel razor sharp nails digging into his skin.  Ethan didn’t have long nails, never had.  Heisenberg was sinking deeply into the mattress as though the weight of ten people were on him.
“Ethan– Ethan, get off me.”
“Tell me –”
Karl used his powers to turn on the lighting in the room; orange oil lamps flooded the shadows, revealing Winters and his feral expression.  Karl had hoped that the light would bring some clarity back to the blond, but Ethan simply leaned forward, his eyes still wild, hazy.  His gaze went past Karl, as if he were blind-he stared into nothingness.  Ethan’s skin was too pale, Karl marveled; it looked chalky and textured.  When Miranda had transformed into whatever the hell she became, her skin looked similar.  He had examined Lycan corpses that also did this–it seemed to be a symptom of the mold’s quick metabolism.  Heisenberg interrupted his own frightened thoughts with, “Get OFF.”
“I can’t lose you,” Ethan said in the unnerving monotone.  His voice sounded thin, faraway.  The words would have tugged at Heisenberg’s heart, had he not been furious about being pinned.  “Tell me, and I’ll bring him back.”
This infuriated Heisenberg, but he didn’t have the presence to argue about it.  However, the many tools in his room began rattling.  “And…” Ethan’s voice changed entirely with his next words.  It deepened, sounding more like a rumble of thunder, or an earthquake than his own voice.  “The Black God wishes to be restored .”
“Ethan!” Karl snapped loudly.  He struggled again, this time thrashing as much as he could–which wasn’t a lot.  Ethan was completely focused on incapacitating the brunette, which is why the distraction worked.  When Ethan, black-eyed and shadow vein-covered, opened his mouth to demand or plead again, the industrial sized pipe wrench from the nearby workbench slammed into the side of his head.
Ethan crumpled immediately.  This second was all Karl needed to tuck and roll away from underneath.  He landed on his feet beside the bed.  The blond made a strained noise, holding his head in his hands.  Karl held his hand out for the wrench, which was pulled into it; he caught it deftly.  He waited to see what the other would do silently.  The engineer noted his own coldness toward Winters, and acknowledged the survival instinct that this act had awakened in him.
Karl had been in self-preservation mode far longer than he’d been living…however he’d been living for the last few months, and it was an unwelcome backslide.  He’d cheered Ethan on when the other infuriated him before.  But this was different.  It wasn’t Ethan.
Was it?
Ethan slowly sat up in bed, and when his eyes opened, he stared at Karl in confusion.
“What the hell–what…why are the lights on?”  He paused, his eyes widening as he saw Karl standing out of bed, the lights on, saw the wrench in Karl’s hand and the deadly, instinctive look across the usually animated face.  Ethan still clutched a palm to the side of his head where he’d been hit with the metal.  Karl had used enough force to kill an ordinary man.  After Karl didn’t answer, a well of tears sprang up behind the hazel eyes.  This tone was the saddest Heisenberg had ever heard him, a tremble similar to the one he’d used when saying what he thought was his last goodbye to Rosemary months earlier.
“What did I do?”

Okay so my last post blew up so here’s more obscure random Resident Evil facts for y’all!
Part one: here
Part three: here
☠️The white dog you save in Resident Evil 4 is a reference to Hewie the dog in Capcom’s other game Haunting Ground which was released at around the same time the original Resident Evil 4 was. The main character Fiona also shares resemblance to Ashley.
☠️ Chris and Claire’s parents both died in a tragic car crash said to be so bad they could only be identified by their dental records
☠️ Jill’s infection (and later cure) of the T-Virus significantly slowed down her ageing
☠️ Chris is the only main character without a clear romantic interest (Leon with Ada, Claire with Leon and Jill with Carlos)
(Edit: A few people have said Claire and Steve but Steve was only 17 at the time of his death so no I don’t care how much chemistry they might’ve had, he was a minor and Claire was 19)
☠️ In the original RE2 Jill had a picture of a man on her desk, in the remake it is changed to a dog instead.
☠️ Barry Burton is one of the only characters in the series to actually retire, moving up to Canada with his family. He and Claire still stay in contact.
☠️ Leon’s signature handgun is actually a modified Samurai Edge he named ‘Silver Ghost’ made by Joseph Kendo the brother of Robert Kendo you meet in RE2 and RE3. Originally the gun was created for Barry Burton but given to Leon instead.
☠️ One of Joseph Kendo’s books on firearms can be found in Ethan’s house at the beginning of Village.
☠️ Capcom’s other zombie series Dead Rising actually has a few references to Resident Evil in them though my favourite is a restaurant called Jill’s Sandwiches
☠️ Luis Sera was apart of Umbrella’s sixth laboratory in Europe which oversaw the creation of Nemesis.
☠️ A detail not many know about Hunk is that he possesses two hidden blades mounted to his wrists almost exactly like the ones seen in Assassins Creed
☠️ Jessica and Raymond are two villains from Revelations that are not only still alive but in possession of a T-Abyss sample and haven’t been seen in the timeline since 2005 what happened to them and the sample is a complete mystery.
☠️ Another storyline that hasn’t been explained yet is Natalia from Revelations 2 and if she may or may not be possessed by the consciousness of Alex Wesker
☠️ It’s implied in the Shadow of Rose DLC that Mia Winters lost custody of Rose sometime in her teenage years
☠️ Chris can canonically pull off front flips whereas Leon can backflip
☠️ Lobo, Tundra and Night Howl of the Hound Wolf Squad actually have little smiley face stickers on the back of their helmets whereas Canine and Umber Eyes do not.
☠️ In every main series game he’s been in (RE2,RE4,RE6) Leon has had to crawl through a sewer
☠️ All of the cgi movies as well as Infinite Darkness are considered completely canon to the story.
☠️ Upon the release of Operation Raccoon City, players could participate in an online ARG which gave away exclusive files on the characters including a psychological evaluation of Hunk which is the most information we’ve ever gotten on his character. The link to it can be found: Here
☠️ Wesker’s British accent was the result of each of his voice actors attempting to mimic the last. This was corrected in the remake of Resident Evil 4 (sadly)
☠️ You can interact with the play park in RE6 with Chris, Piers and Ada and each of them go down the slide differently
☠️ The HWS member that tackles Ethan at the reservoir is Canine and the one standing next to Chris is Night Howl.
☠️ Night Howl is also the author of the laptop reports you find in the Church and the secret underground area where the Mutamycete is in the village.
☠️ Canine is the youngest member of the HWS and the oldest is Umber Eyes
☠️ Lobo from the HWS shares striking similarities to Hunk (Read my full theory on it Here)
☠️ The Duke from Village and The Merchant from RE4 actually know each other and The Duke describes them as ‘old friends’
☠️ Sergei Vladimir, leader of the UCBS is the tallest human character in the franchise standing at 6’7.5”
☠️ Thanks to the Resident Evil 4 remake, Leon can now both speak and read Spanish
☠️ In the Heavenly Island comic, the man Chris sends to assist Claire is Parker Luciani from Revelations
☠️ In RE8 the Village is heavily isolated from the outside world thanks to Miranda and thus has remained primitive but Heisenberg had his own arrangements with the Duke for regular newspapers and cigars from the outside.
☠️ Wesker actually met Claire once while he was still leading STARS. He described her as a ‘lovely girl.’
☠️ That being said Claire swears more than any other main character (Chris, Leon, Jill)
☠️ Chris and Claire have matching leather jackets that both say ‘Made In Heaven’ on the back which is a reference to Queen (the band)
☠️ Although it doesn’t appear in the remake, Barry’s ‘Jill sandwich’ line is considered canon and referenced by his daughter Moira in Revelations 2
☠️ Revelations for the 3DS was so infamous for having its text misspelled on the side of the case Capcom had to issue replacement sleeves for all the buyers who had one.
☠️ Heisenberg calling Chris a ‘Boulder punching asshole’ means his feats in RE5 either made the newspaper or someone told him about it personally (one of the hounds maybe?)
☠️ Expanding upon an earlier fact of mine, Chris knows 7 fighting styles which are: Airforce Combatives, Karate, Boxing, Judo, Wrestling, Capoeira and Kali
☠️ Jill also knows 7 fighting styles which are: Modern Army Combatives, Taekwondo, Ju-Jitsu, Gymnastics, Tricking, Lucha Libre and Kali
☠️ Leon knows 6 fighting styles: Taekwondo, Ju-Jitsu, Wrestling, Kali, Krav Maga and Systema
☠️ The reason why there’s no children in the village in Resident Evil 4 is because Saddler’s blood ritual killed them all before the events of the game (that and the developers agreed child enemies would be far too disturbing)
☠️ The developer of the original RE4 suggests that the best snacks to have while playing the game is Diet Coke and lightly salted potato chips (eaten with chopsticks to avoid greasy controller hands)
☠️ Neither Hunk nor anyone in the USS wear Umbrella logo patches (as much as cosplayers tell you otherwise lol)
☠️ In the RE4 remake, Ashley refers to herself as a ‘master of unlocking’ which is a reference to Jill’s title given to her by Barry in the first game
☠️ Chris and Leon were designed to be complete opposites of each other and you can still see that today even with subtle details (Chris punches, Leon kicks. Chris smokes, Leon doesn’t. Leon is flirtatious, Chris is indifferent)
☠️ Wesker’s red eyes glow brighter any time he experiences strong emotions which is why they sometimes shine through his glasses
☠️ Chris’s zippo lighter was actually a gift from Claire given to him when he joined STARS
☠️ Chris can’t read piano sheet music but he can read guitar
☠️ Jill can play the piano
☠️ The story behind the basement music used in the directors cut of the original Resident Evil is so infamous and has a pretty wild story behind it. The music itself is horrendously bad and said to have been composed by a deaf composer but spoiler alert that composer wasn’t deaf at all and instead was fooling the world. The story is insane and I highly recommend checking out this video on it for the full story here
☠️ Beltway from the USS Wolfpack has a metal prosthetic leg
☠️ Beltway also swears more than any other character in Operation Raccoon City
☠️ The original RE4 has more releases than any other Resident Evil game because of its success
☠️ The original RE4 was also planned to be a lot more survival horror based like it’s predecessors but the remake of the original RE didn’t sell as well as intended so the game was reworked to be more action based instead.
☠️ Crimson head zombies were also completely unique to the remake of Resident Evil and also make an appearance in Operation Raccoon City
☠️ Leon’s relationship with Helena is unique in the fact that neither of them are interested in each other and Leon instead views her as a protege because she reminds him of his younger self.
☠️ You cannot shoot the merchant in the RE4 Remake
☠️ During his time working at the Spencer Mansion, Wesker used to take long hikes around the Arklay Mountains
☠️ Mr X isn’t the only Tyrant of his type in fact multiple of him were released around Raccoon City and it’s also implied two separate Mr X’s are encountered during the story of the RE2 remake
☠️ Out of everything, crows are the most effective carriers and spreaders of the T-Virus
☠️ Hunk’s name is actually an acronym that stands for Human Unit Never Killed
☠️ Leon S Kennedy is the only playable character with a middle name, that being Scott (in fact he might be the only character in the franchise with one but don’t quote me on that)
☠️ Originally Leon’s hair was depicted as brown but was later changed to blond which it had stayed as until Vendetta made it brown again. His canon hair colour is usually agreed to be blond however.
☠️ Same goes for Chris’s eye colour which was originally blue (like Claire’s) until they changed it to brown and back to blue again in Village.
☠️ Birkin discovered the Golgotha Virus by accident while experimenting with Lisa Trevor. In the REmake you can see the G Virus tentacles on her back.
☠️ The brand of clothing and gear the Hound Wolf Squad use is a real brand you can buy exact replicas from for Airsoft called Volk Tactical Gear. There logo is printed on HWS weapons in game.
☠️ Ghosts were technically made canon in the Resident Evil universe thanks to 7 and 8 but seem to only relate to the Mold and Mutamycete (You see a ghost girl in 7’s demo/prequel and in 8 Shadow of Rose goes in depth with it)

# Resident Evil - Platonic Yandere Ethan Winters (PROFILE)
Tumblr media
Type of Yandere: As your father, I can see Ethan being way too overbearing. Any chance he can get he’s either knocking on your bedroom door or meeting you in the kitchen when you went in there to get a snack to talk to you about anything he could have come up with in that moment. How was your day? What do you feel like having for dinner that night? Meet any new people? If you did meet someone new he expects all the details. Which leads into him being very controlling. From a young age he was compelled to monitor and control your friendships. If you started talking to someone he didn’t like, or if their background was too ambiguous you were banned from communicating with them until further notice. Now as your best friend, Ethan would be overprotective of you as if you were his sibling he has to take care of. If anybody happens to look at you strangely he’s pulling you closer and giving that person an equally heated look. Or if someone happened to accidentally bump into you Ethan is once again giving that person a look up until they apologize. It’s never a big deal but Ethan always insists that it is. Now if someone starts showing romantic interest in you, then his possessive tendencies start to show. You’re his best friend, not theirs. Everybody who shows interest in you is just another person looking to take you away from him.
Love Language: Ethan’s love language would for sure be spending quality time with you as well as touch. As I mentioned earlier, Ethan’s always looking for an excuse to talk to you, a master of rambling about the most mundane of things if it meant communicating with you. And as for the touching aspect, he’ll initiate physical touch by doing things like ruffling your hair, holding your hand, or even high-fiving you if you accomplished something.
Their Biggest Fear: His biggest fear would be losing you, whether that be from an argument or from the literal sense like death. He can’t imagine a world without you in it so he’s always going above and beyond to ensure you stay in it.
Kidnapping: I don’t see Ethan ever needing to kidnap you, not unless you proved to be a danger to yourself or if you weren’t taking care of yourself in the ways you were supposed to. And even if he did resort to something as drastic as kidnapping you, I could see him playing it off as an impromptu slumber party of sorts.
How Easy is it to Escape?: Physically? Sure, he’s not stopping you. But mentally? Near impossible. He’s spent so much time around you and knows more about you than you do yourself, so manipulating you comes easily to the point he doesn’t even realize that that’s what he’s doing.
Punishments: Ethan wouldn’t lay his hands on you, no, never. He would however restrain you. Such as locking you in your room as your punishment for going against his rules, or keeping you in his house until you come to understand why he brought you there in the first place. He’s more than willing to play the long game, wait however long he needs to, but are you?
Difference to Other Yanderes: As we’ve seen in the games, nothing can take Ethan out. Where there’s a will there’s a way. And with his connection to the mold (mutamycete) that causes him to metaphorically latch onto his person of interest more than a normal person should. I like to see the mold as a sentient being that's combined itself with Ethan, their common interests met halfway to each other with their common interest being you.

ayooo I made this like a year ago and posted it on my original blog, I thought I'd post it here cause why not lol?

I've loved the RE games for a while now, but recently I realized I didn't know the lore that well.
Now, there are plenty of thorough videos online that lay out the lore of the games, but my silly little brain has a hard time following along. So I wrote it out in a way that made sense to me.
I haven't played all the games myself, so if something is incorrect, I’m sorry. Additionally, I left some content out to keep it as simple and comprehensible as possible!

RESIDENT EVIL CHARACTER LINK
Mother Miranda lives in an Eastern European village. In 1919 the Spanish flu claimed her only daughter. In a state of depression, Mother Miranda finds herself deep within a cave network underneath her village, hoping to find the sweet relief of death and be with her daughter once more. This is where she discovers a unique mold (a form of mutamycete) with regenerative properties. She spends the next several decades researching the mold in hopes of using it to reincarnate her daughter.
In 1951, a British medical student by the name of Oswald E. Spencer discovered Mother Miranda’s research. He basically becomes very interested in the human genome and goes off on his own to run his own experiments for the next few years.
In 1962 Oswald E. Spencer hired a man named George Trevor to build him a mansion in the Arklay Mountains, so he could continue his research privately.
Later, Oswald E. Spencer joins forces with two other men, James Marcus, and Edward Ashferd. The trio sets off to Africa to find a unique flower, the  “Stairway to the Sun”, which has regenerative properties. Using this flower, the men synthesize the Progenitor Virus.
In 1968, Oswald E. Spencer, James Marcus, and Edward Ashferd, co-founded Umbrella Corp.  This “pharmaceutical company” was really just a front for their viral bioweapon research.

Shortly afterward, Edward Ashferd gets frustrated with his two partners and moves to Antarctica where he starts up his own Umbrella research labs. Oswald E. Spencer dislikes this and has Edward Ashferd injected with the Progenitor Virus, killing him.
Oswald E. Spencer is working on Project W.  where he kidnaps children and injects them with the Progenitor Virus, in hopes of building a race of loyal superhuman soldiers. All of the test subjects die, except for one, Albert Wesker.
In 1987, James Marcus and his assistants William Birkin and Albert Wesker created the T-Virus, by combining leech DNA with the Progenitor Virus. Shortly after this, the facility gets shut down(?), and the trio moves back to Oswald E. Spencer’s lab in the Arklay Mountains.
Back at the Arklay Umbrella lab, William Birkin discovers that ~10% of the population is naturally immune to their viruses. So he created Bio Organic Weapons (BOW’s). His work with BOW’s is refined into making specific BOW’s, aka Tyrants.
(Late 1998) James Marcus is working with his own strand of the T-Virus, and he creates his “Queen Leech”. Oswald E. Spencer dislikes this as well and tries to kill James Marcus. This attempt fails. James Marcus’s body along with his Queen Leech are dumped into a sewage area, where the Queen Leech eats James Marcus’s body, and absorbs his consciousness. This sort of reincarnates James Marcus.
In the 1990s, Umbrella expanded, and Oswald E. Spencer commissioned a new lab facility to be constructed underneath Raccoon City.
(William Birkin created the G-Virus around this time.)
In 1996, S.T.A.R.S (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) was created. It is technically under Raccoons Cities jurisdiction, but it's privately funded by Umbrella Corp. so they can have control over it. Albert Wesker gets assigned as Captain to the S.T.A.R.S Alpha team.
In 1998, Rebbeca Chambers stumbled across a train wreck filled with James Marcus’s infected leeches. She ends up finding, and killing the Queen Leech (remember James Marcus’s consciousness is intertwined with the Queen Leech).
(Still 1988) S.T.A.R.S Alpha team is on a mission. Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield discover Umbrella Corp.’s experiments and learn that Albert Wesker is a traitor. They fight, and Albert Wesker injects himself with the T-Virus, and escapes.
Raccoon City’s water supply is contaminated with the T-Virus. This infects the whole town and turns them into zombies. Umbrella uses this situation to test out their new BOW, a Tyrant named Nemesis.  Nemesis targets Jill Valentine. With the help of Carlos Oliviera, they escape the Tyrant and Raccoon City before it is nuked so the virus doesn't spread.
At the same time, there's a girl by the name of Claire, she's searching for her brother Chris Redfield in Raccoon City.
(All you need to know is through RE from here on out, she keeps searching for her brother and getting into dangerous situations where different viruses are present.)
Anyway, Claire meets Leon Kennedy, and they go to the Raccoon City Police Department (RPD). The two get separated and Leon Kennedy finds the G-Virus. He meets a woman named Ada Wong, an independent mercenary who's trying to get her hands on the  G-Virus, and sell it. (She actually does this). Claire and Leon Kennedy escape Raccoon City through a sewer before it’s nuked.
It's now 2004, Leon Kennedy was deployed to a village in Spain to rescue the U.S. president's daughter who was kidnapped. The village is plagued by the Las Plagas Virus, which has something to do with the Los Illuminados Cult. Ada Wong shows up and grabs a sample of the Las Plagas Virus to sell to Albert Wesker. Leon Kennedy saves the president's daughter, defeats the Los Illuminados, and escapes the island.
(2006) Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine find Oswald E. Spencer’s location, and they go to his house. When they get there, they find Albert Wesker had just killed Oswald E. Spencer. (This is cause Wesker found out he was the product of Project W).
Basically, Albert Wesker kidnaps Jill Valentine for a while and uses her as his test subject/mind-controlled dummy. (Eventually, she breaks free from Albert Wesker's mind-control)
Around this time, the B.S.A.A. was created. The Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance. (This is because bioweapons are being made worldwide)

Albert Wesker moves on and tries to make West Africa a diseased wasteland. Chris Redfield and the B.S.A.A. team up to go to stop him. This is where they discover the Uroboros Virus. (This is an RNA virus in the Progenitor family. It was engineered by Albert Wesker). Chris Redfeild and the B.S.A.A successfully kills Albert Wesker.
In 2012, there was this thing called the C-Virus, which can mutate bodies while keeping their consciousness. For a while Umbrella Corp.'s was under some heat, but they revived themselves as “Neo Umbrella”. Neo Umbrella unleashes the C-Virus (in China?) and basically, Raccoon City happens all over again.
There is this crime syndicate called “The Connections”. They strike a deal with Mother Miranda, she gives them her mold and the DNA of her daughter hoping they would help revive her. The Connections use the E-Type Mutamycete mold to create bioweapons out of children.  This gave birth to the genetically modified human Eveline, who had mind-controlling and regenerative powers. The B.S.A.A. caught wind of this, and The Connections loaded a research team with Eveline onto a cargo boat to ship her somewhere safer. Eveline infected the whole cargo ship with her mold, killing everyone except Eveline's direct handler, a researcher named Mia Winters.
The cargo ship wreckage landed somewhere along the coast of Dulvey Parish, Louisiana. An old man by the name of Jack Baker found Eveline and Mia Winters and took the two back to his house to take care of them. Eveline infected the whole Baker family.
Mia Winters sends an email to her husband, Ethan Winters. He drives to Dulvey Parish, Louisiana to save his wife. Unfortunately, Ethan Winters gets killed pretty quickly, but he gets revived by Eve’s mold. Eveline turns into a big mold monster, and Ethan Winters does his best to fight it, until Chris Redfield comes in and saves the day.
Fast forward a few years, Ethan and Mia Winters have a baby named Rosemary (Rose) Winters. Somehow Mother Miranda finds out about this and decides that Rose Winters is the perfect candidate to use to resurrect her daughter. So Mother Miranda kidnaps Rose and Mia Winters and brings them back to her old Eastern European village. Ethan Winters goes to save his family. He fights a bunch of Mother Miranda's experiments (i.e. Lady Dimitrescu, Heisenberg, Lycans, Dona Beneviento, etc...), and eventually, Chris Redfield comes to try and save the day again. But Ethan Winters sacrifices himself for his family and blows up the whole village.
Fast forward again, it's 2037. Rose Winters is a teenager now, and she has Mutamycete mold powers. She hates that she's different, and wants to get rid of them. She is told if she enters the Mutamycete mold’s consciousness, she might find a way to rid herself of these powers. Now everyone who's ever been in contact with the Mutamycete mold is trapped/a part of the mold consciousness. Inside, she fights off Mother Miranda one last time, meets her father, and then decides to keep her mold powers.

Again, I did leave some games/content out, but I hope this was enjoyable and/or useful and easy enough to understand!

* note: not all of these are actually viruses, we're obviously including parasites and fungi.
** assuming an extraordinary outcome. T is gonna make you a Tyrant (or similar), not a zombie. Ouroboros will make you into something like Wesker or Neil Fisher, not a pile of mindless slop.
*** Las Plagas may be superior species or standard depending on your preference. If you want to be Krauser, cool. If you wanna be El Gigante, more power to ya. It won't make you Verdugo because that was created through separate experiments in merging human and insect DNA. Could make you Mendez though

My friendos @furiarossa did a fun little holiday event with their semi-open species Rumius, and I ended up winning a Custom and a MYO- and this is mine! uwu
We had been talking about potential Rumiu variants a while ago, where I did a WHOLE lot of unnecessary research and thought, and came to the conclusion that the crystals in Resident Evil Village were a form of Calcite (definitely helped by the fact that they also grow along the bones/remains of the enemies) affected by the Mutamycete. I had the vision of this little guy since then, and got permission to make them with the MYO slot! So, this is Ghast, the Rumiu afflicted by the Mutamycete thanks to the Calcite crystals it feasts on. uwu Sickly and timid, but definitely a clingy little lovebug if you manage to get close!
I love this bean so much already and I'm DEFINITELY excited for the Custom- I threw my favorite stone at them lmao (Snowflake Obsidian)

Copying and pasting these from a discord conversation BUT here's my Jill/Mia (Wintertine? Valenwinter? You can't combine their name in a way that's catchy) propaganda:
Jill and Mia would’ve been an unstoppable fucking duo. Jill loves Chris and Carlos and Leon and Claire and Rebecca, but none of them really and truly understand what it is that she went through being mind controlled by Wesker and living with the after effects of genetic enhancements (Leon maybe from the hours he spent under the control of Plaga, but again, his was only for about 8? hours? and with Jill it was multiple years). And then Mia comes along and she gets it!
Mia loves Ethan. She does. But his suffering pales in comparison to the everything that she suffered. His pain was a night, hers was three years. He can’t or won’t, doesn’t understand. And then she meets Jill through Chris and she comes to realize that she gets it!
She knows what it feels like to have someone else pilot your body and control everything. Make you doubt your own actions and memories and completely unmake you. Take you out and put something else in. Make you a danger to the people you love. And then suddenly you’re expected to just. Move past it. And you can’t move past something like that. You have been changed. Irrevocably so. And now you carry this thing inside of you. And you live in fear that it will twist you and unmake you again. And you have to bear that burden alone because though the people around you love you and want to help you they cannot understand
Chris hands Mia over to Jill to help with her military training as a way to help both of them out, recognizing they had similar experiences and that perhaps training Mia will give Jill a more productive (and less self-destructive) outlet while Mia has a more grounding presence to help her readjust to normal life.
Mia already has some weapons training thanks to working for Connections so Jill helps enhance her handgun skills while teaching her how to handle heavier firearms. As a result also gets along with Rebecca due to her (limited, albeit) knowledge of the mutamycete and helping develop a more stable anti-fungal to help with recurring symptoms in both Mia and Ethan and later Rosemary.
Of course they always confide in each other about worrying if the voice in their head is their own or Wesker’s/Eveline’s. Of course they confide in each other in how despite the fact that their loved ones look nothing like them, sometimes Leon’s hair catches the light in a way that makes it look blonde again and Jill can’t look at him, sometimes Chris walks too quietly and forgets to make himself known before he touches her shoulder from behind, sometimes Carlos’ face twists into a snarl that she has to blink away, sometimes she has to sleep on the couch because she’s scared of waking up with her hands around his throat. Sometimes when Ethan laughs he sounds like Lucas. Sometimes he looms in the door and she thinks he’s Jack, coming to lock her away again. They don’t have any hanging light fixtures in the home because if they sway she thinks Marguerite is there, muttering away. Sometimes she has to sleep in another room because she’s scared of waking up in the kitchen with a knife her hand.
Of course, when Mia realizes she’s pregnant, Jill is the one she goes to and tells first.
They’re both resourceful and quick-thinking and compassionate and loyal, even if it means their downfall. They’re so full of love that it very nearly kills them, practically did. They’re both hard headed and stubborn, too. Mia should’ve had a bigger part in re8. She deserved both an re7 and re8 dlc
