That's a tricky question because over here the culture is kind of "middle class and above" kids all learn a bunch of instruments, or at least one classical instrument, cries through qualification exams, and then most of us stop once we get to the highest non-professional grade. So it might be easier for me to tell you what instruments I've learned:

Piano: lessons from 4 to 13, completed ABRSM Grade 8 exam, still play at least once a week

Recorder: learned during primary school, haven't touched it in years but probably can pick it up fairly quickly

Harmonica: learned during primary, haven't touched it in years but probably can pick it up quickly

Oboe: took lessons from F1-F4 (12-16), absolutely forgot everything 😅

I'm also attempting to self-learn guitar, key word being attempting 😅

But if you're referring to what I said about being the soloist in the musical theatre workshop I said earlier, that means I got the main character and sang the solo part! More specifically, Cady Heron in the Means Girls Musicl :D I love singing but I've never been actually trained, so it was kind of daunting and I was shaking for a bit, but I am so happy that I did!

Is everything a damn musical now? Why? What’s the need? Who asked for this? Are we not allowed entertainment that is straightforward? Does no one read anymore? Why must everyone loudly break into song in order to tell a story? It’s over the top and unnecessary!

I mean, Hamilton was… fine… sure. I’ve listened to the songs once or twice. But… a musical of Les Misérables?? It’s called “the miserables” is that not a recipe for a rather miserable musical??

Oh god Natalie just busted into her best baritone to shout-sing “LOOK DOWN!! LOOK DOWN!! DON’T LOOK ‘EM IN THE EYEEEE!” I obviously don’t understand the reference but… dear god apparently I’m going to end up watching this nonsense too arent I? At this rate I’m never going to get any work done at all if I keep watching all these ridiculous things!

You know that theatre? The starlight? Right across the road actually, I think we should see it when we're outside. Well, they are holding auditions for a musical in two weeks and I'm taking part in them! For the lead role even. There's only two issues. A - I don't have any past experiences to show. I mean, I do, obviously, but even if they believed I was around in the fourties and fifties, it seems like nothing I did happened in this timeline. All my movies and stage productions, they're all gone. Never happened. B - I'm not gonna look very capable if I don't know anything about musical theatre. Once again, I do, but not about any musicl theatre that's been happening in between now and 1955. Or other types of theatre. Not even movies. I think I'll have to study for this role! And I have no idea where to start... [He ramble on for the entire way down to the reception and out of the Inn.] Oh, look, there's the starlight!

Cats the Movie Rant

Ok ok so we've all talked about how horrifying this...thing is. I'm honestly dissapointed through all the stages of a production for this NOT A SINGLE PERSON WENT "wtf this looks horrifying and terrible" instead everyone just went along with it?? No one inntheir right mind went "no no this is bad stop it". Seriously what is with hollywood making cgi characters lately??

I could write a book of why and how every part of the movie just looks terrible. But I'll save my self the time by saying the person who did this should have went for a direction of 3D animation, more cartoony and still use the dancers and singers movements and facial expressions as they acted as guides.

Hollywood forgets that yes, movie projects that push the abilities can get you a crap ton of money and recognition for your work, but it should still LOOK GOOD. This is a VISUAL median here and that means it has to be visually appealing, compelling and drive it forward. It makes me sad becuase I can see they had some vision to the movie just by the trailers, but they still took the wrong approach.

I was frightened by terrible and bad looking puppets and costumes in movies (I'm looking at YOU NINJA TURTLES). I can only imagine some kids reactions to this because their grandmother dragged them to theovie theatre just to get them into musicles beyond disney. If adults find it unneverving imagine the kids

Today I was extremely lucky - my friend Olha Martynyuk invited me to the real musicle! I was lucky not only because it was my first american musicle in the real theatre, and it was extremely good. But it was made by Roald Dahl’s book “Matilda”, that one with Blake’s illustrations that I love so much! It was so interesting to see how director and actors are working with characters!
