"Status Quo has been reached, wasps unleashed" might be the one of the funniest lines I've heard in a metal song by a non-joke band.
#I know technically 'Metal' songs by Sabaton are songs based on a funny concept#of referencing as many of bands' names/song titles/song lyrics as possible#but it's nonetheless extremely funny to me that they've used these words in this order#I mean Metal Crüe's chorus slaps but the verses make me chuckle every time I hear it#(also the first version of it I've heard was a live version and I'm continously baffled by the background falsetto in the album version XD)#musically I think out of the three referential songs I like Metal Ripper the most#it pretty much screams Primo Victoria/Coats of Arms era Sabaton despite being different thematically#text post#music
