H*lo infinite onions below
I’m excited and having fun and y'all can do you or look into the hell abyss of twitter but im holding hands with master chief and the pilot
Chunky chief good.....I’m glad they didn’t make him doomedguy wall of meat but the pilot guy must have given him so many MREs since the last trailer and good for them. Spartans are fucking big and need to be more than tall. (BrickshithousePalmerwhen??)
I’M NOT CALLING BABY CORTANA/ CORTANA 2/ NEW BLUE LADY “THE WEAPON”
She is crouton or chief’s daughter until i get something else. Yes it looks like she was a pawn to be sacrificed. I’m not calling that peppy lil nerd the weapon, but she has to be called something. She should get to pick. Chief should ask her what she wants to be called! Chief should adopt every ai he meets!
I am not immune to her being called Joyeuse or Durandal.
I’m also so so so curious of how reliable a narrator she is and what the hell is going on?
The spaced marines.....bro.....chief gently grabbing the AR in contrast to bodily shoving and spinning alien corpses. He’s got body language unlike
Bro the pilot guy on the radio, the doubt, Chief just being resigned to do what he needs to, but also the hope, he’s gonna fix this.
GIVE ECHO 216′S PILOT A NAME 2021
the music, chief’s gay little spin, cortana voiceover, I can’t
like i’m so excited wherever they go and yeah it’s going to be bumpy in parts but Halo is a video game. It’s a fun story and universe to explore and later this year, i’m gonna play it with my friends
in the meantime, I’m going to worry about the infinity and the rest of the characters I got attached to.
Where is Lasky? Palmer? The Infinity??? Roland? Miller? Those oneoff mentioned fireteams from SoR? Taurus and Intrepid? They made Denning write a book with certain details and well, we see some of the results.
Idk man, whatever happens it’ll be fun to see and it was fun to see people excited about halo again.

Digging my 360 out is always a weird blast from the past for me, especially if I hook it up to an ethernet and look at more stuff (I recall getting really emotional over a lost family member's account still being there the last time I did this, I won't this time I promise).
Instead I just wanted to point at some of what shows up on My Games tab because it's a fun mix of good memories and things I don't recall at all.
Beat Hazard, played a bunch of songs on that.
My nerd ass getting all the achievements on Fallout 3 and NV because I was obsessed.
GAME ROOM existing, oof.
Hitman Absolution was my first hitman game if you don't count a handful of minutes at a relatives! I LIKED it! What the FUCK! lol I'm glad I liked it, but I honest to god could not go back to it today, I'm certain of that.
Maxed cheevos on I Am Alive- a game most don't respect at all but I really enjoyed it at the time- it came out when I was obsessed with post apocalypse stuff so it scratched that itch at just the right time.
I Made A Game With Zombies in it is a MASTERPIECE of a game, highly recommend looking up a playthrough for the music alone.
Iron Brigade is actually a game I've brought up before! For good reason! It's a game I love wholeheartedly and I think to date it is the only game I became THAT invested in the COMMUNITY side of things.
And what a unique experience that was.
Picture a game, right. You love it, it is niche as heck and you love it. The game has an official forum and pretty much no other place on the internet- so the forum is active! The devs are there! The best of the best and the most obsessed are there!
Now picture my nerd ass diving in, making an ass of myself, becoming at least recognized by a great portion of them, receiving a gift from the DEVS THEMSELVES, building the wikia with them, writing guides with them, stupidly turning down the opportunity to be involved in world first perfect runs with them (what the fuck was my problem) building broken strats with them-
I was incredibly active on the community side for that game, I miss that dearly. I really should take such a big commitment step again for the next niche game I enjoy :)
Enough about IB.
I went and maxed out Minecraft on 360 for some reason? What a bizarre thing to do. I'm pretty sure the achievements were stupid as hell (I ain't checking) and I don't recall really "playing" much? But that's also the biggest platform I ever played minecraft on? Oof.
Monday Night Combat, that was a fun game during its time.
Maxed out oblivion- fun story on that one.
Oblivion was one of those few games that I was hyped beyond words before release. I would watch the trailer again and again, I'd talk with friends and family about it nonstop, I recall going on and on about being able to choose how you used weapons, dual wield, one hand, two handed, magic, bow- I was blown away by the concept.
I did a similar bit of "gushing about basic mechanics" with Halo 1 to parental figures, that was fun.
But anyway- I was hyped for Oblivion, and I got all the achievements as you can see- but to this day I have not actually done much in Oblivion lol.
Little kid me was new to the entire concept of an open world RPG!
Little kid me JUST followed the quest markers and ONLY for the main quests and guild quests!
Little kid me did NOTHING in Oblivion! lol
So I have all these hours in it, I went and did a lot of the traditional Oblivion things like making a 100 chameleon armor set with duped sigil eyes or whatever but I haven't actually "just played" Oblivion, outside of stealing, I did a lot of stealing. But side content? Nope.
OH HECK YEAH PAYDAY 2!
I played Payday 2 on 360!
For those who don't know, PD2 on 360 is the OLD version, the OG skill system and the like. It's kind of a train wreck, but I played it nonstop for like a week? Maybe just a weekend? I recall telling my cousin to get it and then I don't remember us actually ever playing? I played with some friends, then by myself, then quit.
Fast forward and I buy it on PS4 and play it TOO MUCH then buy it on PC and play it TOO MUCH lol.
Tumblr media
Oh, Rainbow Six Vegas is in the mix. Vegas and Vegas 2 were extremely fun IN THEIR TIME. I'd revisit them with a friend I'd bet, but the liklihood of that is kinda low.
You could use the 360 camera to add yourself to the game which was sick, and I'll never forget that sniper rifles could pinpoint blind fire due to an oversight. If you went against a wall (it's a cover shooter) and clicked in the zoom toggle for a sniper you would "zoom" your blind fire reticle which actually made the sniper go from "blind fire inaccurate" to "pinpoint directly on the reticle accurate" so snipers were busted lol.
If my reckless ramble wasn't a hint at what I'm about to say at the beginning: The 360 was the true height of my gaming history. It was the console I played as a teen which is to say it was the console I had infinite time and resources to pour into, and pour into I did.
Even today I don't just sit around playing games nonstop, sometimes I wish I would, but it just doesn't "fit" anymore- but kid me? He loved that shit.
So when it comes to stories I have about games, most of them are about the 360 which means a lot of them aren't really the most entertaining to share I think?
Most people want to hear about classic game stuff, or modern game stories- but I have all this weird and out of place knowledge about what it was like being obsessed with games on the 360- an experience a lot of people my age also have so, again, they aren't interested in hearing :P

Why We Should Wait To Judge Halo Infinite
With Halo Infinite being the first mainline Halo game since 2015, 343 Industries has a lot of pressure to do things right. With this in mind, the Halo studio looks like it’s trying to find a perfect balance between innovation and nostalgia. This means walking the tight rope of trying to satisfy longtime fans while pushing gameplay towards the cutting edge. Often a scope this size leads players of both sides to end up disappointed, but with 343 spending 5+ years on development, they aim to conquer the stereotype.
As of July 2020, we’ve seen one gameplay trailer showcasing the Xbox launch title. It spans both a cinematic and a preview into what seems like an open-world map. The apparent first worry is that the game will take notes from recent gaming trends and try to cash out on the AAA open-world bonanza. While it does seem odd to see a traditionally linear game take a more open approach, I wouldn’t say that it’s without precedent. Many games have made smooth transitions to an open-world and have been able to evolve as games because of it.
An excellent example of this would be when the Batman Arkham series made a move to a sprawling open-world in Batman Arkham City. By doing this, the series was able to evolve in its narrative, its gameplay, and its aesthetic. I believe that if done right, Halo Infinite’s more open gameplay could completely revitalize an aging franchise.
The next worry of many fans is the graphics. While the game does look new in the gameplay trailer, it seems about new from a 2016 standard. This can’t be very reassuring, considering that this game was supposed to amaze and awe players from the start. I would argue, though, that we should wait till we can get a bigger picture of the game. Yeah, the graphics may not be the most amazing in the world, but if the story, music, and gameplay outshine that one fault, no one will care about that after release. I believe that Halo can especially afford to have issues with things such as graphics because, at its best, it’s focusing on pulling players into the world with gameplay and lore rather than pretty lighting and textures.
Often it’s easy to see the negatives in the titles that you hold dear, but by going in with an open mind and tempered expectations, you may be able to make a great experience out of the crappiest of games. I say we wait a little while longer to start criticizing Halo Infinite because we can all agree that if 343 makes a fantastic game, it’s beneficial for gamers and game makers everywhere.

Top Games I’m Looking Forward To in 2021 (Part III)
And so it is that I am finally at my last post of this series, of top games I am Looking forward to in 2021. This will probably end up being a slightly shorter list as I’ve already covered so much in the last two, but there’s still some things to talk about that I could not miss out on, so here we go.
Halo Infinite.
Despite all that seems to be going wrong with the development of Halo Infinite, seeing how it’s had multiple developers leave, even from some high positions, I can’t deny that I’m a massive Halo fan. While my Xbox is largely used for my physical Indie games, one of the few series I play on it is Halo, and nothing is going to stop me from being excited for Infinite, lest we find out it’s Cyberpunk 2077 all over again. Whatever Halo Infinite becomes, a Destiny style game, or it’s own unique service to that kind of game model, I’m excited to it see it come to fruition, and to play it for myself, so we fully understand what all the trailer we saw most recently, was really all about.
Horizon Forbidden West.
Horizon Zero Dawn is one of my favorite PS4 games of all time. It’s excellent combat, a story far beyond what one might expect for a game of it’s style, and it’s amazing side quests really make it a game that stands out among the crowd of open world titles. Aloy has become one of my favorite characters in gaming, so to be back in her world, and to see what we can see in this seemingly expansive, and beautiful yet dark western location, is something I can hardly wait for. While I’m not personally a fan of Sylens, this game has a chance to turn me around on him, or make me hate him the way I’m supposed to, instead of just disliking the fact that he’s in the game at all. Who can say exactly what’s coming with Horizon Forbidden West, but whatever it is, I am ready to experience it, full of hope that it can somehow surpass the original.
12 Minutes.
One thing these lists have been missing is some Indie games. While I could probably make a separate list for them all together, I think instead I’ll talk about them now. Of all the upcoming Indie games that I’m interested in, 12 minutes is way near the top. The idea itself not being wholly unique, it is one that can be used to create something unique. 12 minutes, a game about a time loop (one of three big games about in fact) looks to take the formula in a hopefully new direction, giving you such a short time to try and do things correctly, in the face of a murderer, who might be going after a murderer. Being a husband caught between such a wild set of circumstances, is bound to add to the drama, and intrigue, this game is sure to provide. If there was a reason to own an Xbox beyond Halo, this is it, right here.
Way to the Woods.
I am not giving up on this game. Way to the Woods was set to release in 2019, than last year in 2020, but the developer himself has said he currently has a goal set for March 29th 2021, on the official website. Whether that’s a release or not is not entirely clear, but something is coming by that date, I’m sure of it. Way to the Woods sees you playing as a Deer in what appears to be a post apocalyptic earth, where humans are all but gone, and only remnants of their existence is left. Train tracks, shopping malls, and museum’s, these are still here. What really exists beyond that, who knows, but the mother deer you play, seems determined to get her child to whatever woods they may be going, and I’m determined to see how this stylish, beautiful Indie game plays out.
Season.
It’s hard to know what Season is about other than a guy taking and drawing pictures, over what appears to be a single season, but it’s beautiful music from the trailer, and astounding visuals, make it a game to look out for when it drops on PS5, hopefully sometime this year. I’ll admit I’m a sucker for games that remind even slightly of a Studio Ghibli film, and Season reminds of a few of them. The road the main character is biking on makes me think of Kiki’s Delivery Service, the vast green field he walks along reminds of Castle in the Sky, the world of Season is just incredibly breathtaking and I cannot wait to explore it, and got lost in what I hope is wonderful piano heavy soundtrack. Everything about it looks to be so enjoyable, so I can only hope, it does release this year.
Lost in Random.
I don’t know if it’s the Tim Burton style visuals, The Nightmare Before Christmas style music, the eye popping combat, or...hey, it’s actually all those things. Lost in Random just looks like it will be a lot of fun. A type of game you play on Halloween, even if it’s not really a horror game, just to remind you what claymation style visuals can do in a video game, and in your head. If you ever found yourself a fan of something that is creepy, unsettling, but yet not completely horror centric, Lost in Random is the game for you and I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Hopefully, after not hearing anything for nearly 7 months, we’ll see the game get a release date, sometime this year.
The Outlast Trials.
Going from something that isn’t quite horror, to something that clearly is, The Outlast Trials should really spice up the Outlast style of gameplay, offering you potentially temporary allies that you get to watch die in the same horrible ways that characters so often meet their fates in these games. While information about the game is pretty lacking, not much more is known beyond the previously mentioned temporary allies, and the fact that you get night-vision somehow implanted into your brain, the game looks like it will be bring the scares in a way that only Outlast can, and maybe with more shock value than ever.
And I think that, after multiple parts of varying length to each list, covers my most hype games for this year. Did I miss anything in the other lists, or this one, that you’re excited for? Let me know in the notes below, feel free to leave me a follow no matter where you find this list, and have a great and wonderful day.

My thoughts on Bioshock 1
I just wanna put this out there. It’s 12:01 am and I find it nice that I finished it before Sunday popped up. This post is gonna have major spoilers. I’ll post the screenshots in a different post. I don’t know if I should call this a review. But yeah I didn’t wanna make this quickly. Took time making some popcorn(two bags for a bowl) and getting a Diet Dr. Pepper.
But my thoughts on the game itself. A game that gamers have considered one of the greatest video games ever made.
I want you all to know. The reason I went back to playing it because I was looking up the terrible voice acting of the original RE game. That it got me to wanting to play a older game...which is the first Bioshock on my main computer.
But in a nutshell I thought it was a pretty nice game. The gameplay is pretty stellar. Especially the combat. But I will admit, the game didn’t really scare me. Because it was considered horror by some folks. But the way I was playing I think a way how you would describe....something out of the Doom series.
Yet this is because I was playing on easy mode. Because I wanted to experience the story. Especially when I upgraded my weapons. I was basically a walking powerhouse. Along with the fact I didn’t use my plasmids a whole lot. But I did use them when they seem needed or when I wanted to try them out. I was mainly a weapons guy.
But yeah upgraded weapons made the journey easier. Even during the final boss with Frank.
The story is pretty alright. Even though some of the audio diaries I decided not to listen to except for some. Especially when the big reveal was coming.
I will admit and I think people may know of this. But I knew of the big twist and read stuff about how Jack was basically controlled through most of the game. Where the phrase, “Would You Kindly” Atlas was saying to control him. Where this becomes more clear when you enter a room that has, “Would You Kindly’ on the wall and...those diaries crap....a dog getting it’s neck snapped....to be honest I feel like the moment Jack see’s that. I feel like he was probably confused or just wondering, “What the fuck?”.
But basically where Andrew Ryan exposes this by saying the phrase a couple of times, and asking Jack to kill him with the golf club. Gonna admit to watch that twist in motion, for some reason I wasn’t expecting it to be that dramatic. Because I was expecting it to be simply casual with Andrew explaining what Jack is actually. Where Jack realizes when Andrew asks Jack to kill him, he was telling the truth. Yet I strangely like it how Andrew was trying to showcase more that using the phrase a few time to really showcase Jack was never in control.
Yet it was nice to finally see the scene in full motion in the original game. Since I’m not playing the remastered version.
To be honest I think the most shocking thing was the fact when I went on the Bioshock wiki. That Jack is literally 4 years old. 0_0 Just....I actually found that to be the most surprising.
Including just the whole set up of why Jack is there isn’t by chance. Honestly despite the dimension hopping that surprised me a lot. Just Jack growing up and all that...surprised me the most.
But I find it nice how Andrew during the game as you get closer to him. He’s alluding to the fact that it seems like such a coincidence that Jack crashed near that lighthouse above Rapture. As if it was some sort of miracle.
I’ll stop talking about the twist sorry. So I was right, Atlas who is Frank didn’t really have a family. I will admit Frank’s a pretty damn good actor. Because I feel like people who first played this and if I didn’t look into certain stuff. It would of been more of a surprise. Because I find it amazing he can change his voice.
Including the fact when you get closer to him. He’s just talking about you and him tricking you. Including why are you even still trying to get him. When Jack doesn’t have a family. I guess I can say he didn’t disappoint me as a villain.
Again the gameplay is wonderful, Rapture was a interesting place. Both to look at and I guess to explore. I will admit I sometimes couldn’t find some stuff right away. Such as a Big Daddy helmet after a while.
The Splicer are cool and have some variety, the Big Daddies are pretty nice too. Yet what I’m amazed by and I’m glad I couldn’t find that Big Daddy helmet right away because the last two Little Sisters that were with Big Daddies were near by.
I actually got all the Little Sisters that I recall. Basically rescuing all of them. Meaning I got the best and what I know canon ending. Gonna admit that last scene and just watching that cutscene. Despite it’s actually very quick. I can’t believe I had tears or so....despite I don’t seem to build a connection with these girls.
There is just something beautiful about that ending. Including to see they offered Jack the key to Rapture but he denies it.
Also there is something of just seeing all these Little Sisters just literally murder Frank and I got a shot of that actually. I saw that in a video once and it’s just intriguing. It seems kind of ridiculous but once you play the game, you understand how they are overpowering him.
The soundtrack....I’ll be honest I didn’t think about it much. Mainly because I was so focused on gameplay and getting through the game. Also weird thing this didn’t happen a lot. But I remember one time one of Franks line was up and he wasn’t talking.
Listen to any fans of Bioshock, sorry that I’m rambling. But I’m sorry I’m not praising it to the heavens. But I felt like I did myself a favor because this is a very loved game. It was nice to finally play it and finish it. I think it’s because I’m still processing some stuff. Including during a time in my life I thought gameplay is more important than story. Which was a thought I started having when I became a fan of Doom. But then loving Resident Evil again got me to realize liking video game stories. Considering before the gameplay thing, I would always prefer a single player over multiplayer.
But now I like both. It’s just I was I guess annoyed by how much praised Bioshock gets and it makes it seem like 2 and Infinite are hated on a lot. Including it just...bothered me and that I’d felt rebellious to not play the original. Because people made it seem like what I like to call it, “The Citizen Kane Of Gaming”. It was a game changer and I should understand that.
Yet you can thank my good bro and buddy @pikablob for being the reason why I got into this series more. All because I was wondering why does Elizabeth in Burial At Sea look so young but in the timeline she would be 66. Until he explained to me things about dimension hopping and after my surprise and shock of what he told me. That got me basically be like, “Okay I need to play these games because holy shit”. Even though I’ve played 2 before and finished Infinite and Burial At Sea episode 1 before.
It was just so insane to learn that I needed to experience these games myself as I’m older now.
I feel like overtime I’ll like Bioshock more. Because I had predicted this could become one of my all time favorites. But I don’t think so right now. Maybe when I ever replay it again and maybe even the remastered version. I may love it more. But I felt like compared to games like the original Doom, Doom 2016, Halo Combat Evolved(Because I recall from my experience that game is a classic), and even the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare trilogy. Especially 1 and 2, with 3 being a fitting conclusion to it. I got more out of those games.
Which I sound stupid for mentioning. Bioshock is a whole different beast. I’m talking about a game where someone like Andrew Ryan literally made a city underwater that wouldn’t be affected by what he considered, “Petty morality” and look where Rapture ended up as....a fucking shit hole.
That I recall I don’t feel terrible seeing Andrew Ryan die. Yet it’s probably because he wants to die and he accepts it. Including his final words and the way the scene went. Yet I was surprised that golf club got stuck in his head when Jack did the final blow.
But I think that’s just my mind set. Including on a silly note and I’m finally gonna say something I’ve had in my head. I just miss Elizabeth. Again I may enjoy it more as time goes all. Because it is a excellent game.
Because even though I haven’t played the remastered versions of Bioshock 1 and 2. I feel like if you want to. I’d recommend checking out the original Bioshock if you want to. It’s a well made game and I hope I think it’s genius about the fact The Bioshock Collection exists and it’s on 8th gen consoles now(Especially it got released on Nintendo Switch last month) and for PC’s if you want remastered versions of the first 2.
Basically was looking at trailers for the collection. I think it’s genius because that package seems perfect for any new fan who wants to experience the complete saga as of now.
I think I’ve said enough on my piece on the original Bioshock.
Anyway during the making of this post. I was listening to this kick ass rap. I find it awesome I finished the game and got to experience it for my own. Here’s JT Music’s Bioshock 1 rap, “Rapture Rising”. Been listening to this when making this. Warning in case even though I talked about spoilers in here, you have spoilers in this rap. Again well done rap.

BotW sequel had me so excited that I actually had to calm down and remember to breathe—are you as excited??
Yes! Oh man, just from what we’ve seen, I’m hyped. You can tell Nintendo deliberately made this a dark announcement trailer. Compare it to the original 2014 teaser for BotW, as well as its first real trailer. They were much more lighthearted and focused on showing off the game itself. This new teaser is visually dark, has music that is clearly another song played backward, and even a pseudo-jumpscare. Add in that heartbeat at the end, and it looks like we are getting a much different game than BotW.
Some people are saying that this will be BotW’s Majora’s Mask. Seeing as I’m such as sucker for dark stories like MM and Twilight Princess, I’m psyched. I haven’t really discussed it with anyone, nor have I watched speculation videos. Honestly one of the things that has me really excited is just a little detail.
Look at what Link is wearing. He is wearing the undershirt and armor of the Hylian Tunic, but with his Champion’s tunic instead of the one he bought those with. I’m not sure why, but I love that. Maybe he realized that that armor would actually be helpful. That undershirt also looks warmer, which would make sense to wear if he’s in some deep underground cave. Also? Hylian Hood. Hood down.
I don’t really have much more to say about it. I will say I don’t care that they didn’t give us a timeframe for its release. I’m a Halo fan, so I know how much can go wrong when a game is rushed to hit the deadline. BTW, I’m psyched for Halo Infinite and I also don’t mind how vague “Holiday 2020″ is. Thanks for this ask!

Halo Infinite: A Timeline of the Game’s Troubled Development
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
Microsoft recently confirmed that Halo Infinite is now scheduled to be released sometime during the fall of 2021. The revelation that the game will be released a year after its recently delayed debut has prompted some fans to ask the question, “How did we get to this point?”
The answer to that question involves requires us to go all the way back to 2015 when Halo Infinite was little more than an idea. What began as the seemingly inevitable development of Halo 6 morphed into one of the deepest dives into development hell that we’ve seen in recent memory.
The timeline of Halo Infinite‘s troubled development isn’t always pretty, but it’s a necessary tool for anyone who wants to understand how Halo Infinite went from a game on the back of the Xbox Series X packaging to a title that may or may not even be released next year.
September 2015 – “Serious, Real Planning” Begins on Halo 6
Weeks before the release of Halo 5, Microsoft surprised many by confirming that initial work had already begun on the next Halo game.
While Microsoft’s Frank O’Connor stopped short of naming that game in an interview with GamesRadar, he did mention that most people felt that the Reclaimer Trilogy” which was supposed to play out across Halo 4, 5, and 6 had grown into more of a saga.
Looking back, it’s pretty clear that this was the first official sign that “Halo 6” was going to be something different. As Halo 5 hadn’t even been released at the time of this interview, though, there was little speculation at that time regarding the full meaning of this interview.
October 27, 2015 – Halo 5 is Released to a Mixed Reception
The story of Halo Infinite’s troubled development has to include the somewhat mixed reception of Halo 5.
While Halo 5 received a fair bit of praise for its multiplayer features and certain gameplay innovations, more and more people wondered whether Halo had lost its identity as part of 343 Industries’ apparent attempt to incorporate more modern trends. There were real concerns regarding what a Halo game was anymore and whether 343 had done enough to truly leave their own mark on the series.
Those concerns would seemingly form the basis of much of what came next.
2015 – 343 Expands Development of a New “Slipspace” Engine
Around the time of Halo 5’s launch (the exact date is unofficial) 343 Industries ramped up the development of a new graphic engine called Slipspace.
While it seems that Slipspace retains a few key elements of Halo’s old Blam! engine, 343 Industries made it clear that they intend for this engine to fuel the future of the Halo franchise.
Given the reactions to Halo 5, many fans felt that the development of this engine was not just a way to help ensure the Halo franchise remained technologically impressive in the future but to help 343 leave behind another remnant of the past and make Halo something closer to their own.
February 2017 – 343 Industries Talks About Halo 6’s Splitscreen and Co-Op Options
After spending most of 2016 focusing on Halo 5, 343 finally broke their silence on the next Halo game by confirming that the project would incorporate split-screen play and emphasize co-op.
The announcement, which came during a D.I.C.E presentation, ultimately didn’t amount to much, but the fact that one of the first official pieces of information we heard about the next Halo game was a commitment to split-screen play inspired some fans to believe that the next Halo game would emphasize the franchise’s classic “staple’ concepts.
April 2017 – Microsoft Promises to Focus More on Master Chief
In what would prove to be an interesting interview with GamesTM magazine, Frank O’Connor acknowledged that fans were disappointed by Halo 5’s lack of Master Chief storylines and the ways that the game focused on other characters.
In the short term, this interview served as a soft promise that the next Halo game would feature Master Chief in a starring role. More importantly, it furthered the idea that the next Halo game would both return to the series’ roots and help 343 Industries reshape the series a bit in order to better make it their own.
Combined, those ideas kicked off a series of rumors which strongly suggested that the next Halo game would be a kind of reboot.
June 2017 – 343 Industries Warns Fans of a Long Halo 6 Development Cycle
The first indication that the wait for the next Halo game could be longer than usual came in a 2017 blog post from developer 343 Industries.
Ultimately, the post just noted that the company had no immediate plans to showcase the next Halo game and that it would likely be quite some time before they were ready to show off the project. While not an odd announcement in and of itself, some fans noted that there was previously only a three-year gap between the release of Halo 4 and Halo 5 and that this announcement came two years after the release of the last Halo game.
For the most part, though, expectations remained high.
June 10, 2018 – 343 and Microsoft Reveal Halo Infinite
One of Halo Infinite’s biggest moments came during Microsoft’s 2018 E3 conference when the game’s debut trailer was revealed to an enthusiastic audience.
The trailer was a true teaser that largely consisted of sweeping environmental shots, musical stings, and a brief look of what appeared to be Master Chief. Aside from publicly revealing the name of the next Halo project, the biggest thing to come from this trailer was increased speculation that the next Halo game would effectively serve as a throwback to previous Halo titles.
What’s maybe more important to note is that 343 and Microsoft remained quiet about many of the specifics of the project at this time despite growing speculation and even a few emerging concerns.
June 10, 2018 – 343 Industries Promises to Listen to Fan Feedback When Developing Halo Infinite
In a blog post published shortly after the reveal of Halo Infinite, 343 Industries promised to listen to fan feedback throughout the development of the game.
There are two notable things about this blog post. The first was that it emphasized the idea that fans would be able to participate in playable tests of Halo Infinite similar to the Insider program used to test Halo: The Master Chief Collection. To our knowledge, those tests not only never happened but the development of Halo Infinite has often been defined by a distinct lack of updates from its creators.
The other notable thing about that blog post? It was written by Chris Lee. You’re going to want to remember that name for later.
July 19, 2018 – 343 Denies Battle Royale Rumors
Shortly after Halo Infinite’s debut, fans started to speculate that Halo Infinite either was a battle royale game or featured a battle royale mode.
This rumor was driven by the game’s mysterious name, the growth of battle royale titles at that time, and the fact that 343 remained silent about the finer points of the project’s gameplay ambitions.
343 shot down these rumors by saying that “the only BR we’re really interested in is Battle Rifle.” Still, the battle royale rumors became symbolic of both fan fears for the future of the franchise and 343’s lack of communication.
December 19, 2018 – 343 Says Fans Happy With Halo Reach’s Customization Will Likely Enjoy Halo Infinite‘s Systems
During a stream on Mixer (R.I.P.) the 343 team revealed a few new tidbits about Halo Infinite, including the revelation that the game’s armor customization system was inspired by Halo Reach. They suggested that those who love expanded customization options would enjoy what they were working on.
The general reaction to that news seemed to be largely positive. This is another point you’ll want to keep in mind for a little later.
June 9, 2019 – A New Halo Infinite Trailer Debuts at E3
Our next proper look at Halo Infinite came during E3 2019 when 343 and Microsoft revealed arguably the game’s most famous trailer and confirmed that Halo Infinite would be a launch game for the company’s next-gen console.
The beauty of this trailer was its simplicity. It stylishly emphasized the idea of Halo harkening back to its roots while establishing the foundation of the project’s new storyline.
It was a wonderful moment that generated quite a bit of unfiltered excitement for the game, but that hype would soon be spoiled by some emerging practicalities.
June 9, 2019 – 343 Confirms Halo Infinite is a Spiritual Reboot
A year after Halo Infinite’s debut, 343 Industries finally confirmed that the game was viewed internally as a spiritual reboot.
Not only was it odd that it took so long for 343 to address a rumor as old as the game itself, but they did it in a way that left an unusual amount of room for speculation regarding the game’s timeline, purpose, and gameplay inspirations. Over a year after this revelation, we still find ourselves asking many of these questions.
August 16, 2019 – Halo Infinite Creative Director Tim Longo Leaves 343 Industries
While Halo Infinite had long been burdened by unanswered questions regarding the game’s development process, the first major public roadblock happened when Halo Infinite creative director Tim Longo decided to leave 343 Industries.
The news came as quite the shock given Longo’s work on the project up until this point and his history with the company, but the impact of the announcement was mitigated somewhat by Microsoft’s assurances that Halo Infinite’s development was otherwise proceeding as planned. In fact, Microsoft said that producer Mary Olson had already taken over as the game’s head of the game’s campaign team.
October 14, 2019 – Mary Olson Leaves 343 Industries
Less than two months after being named as one of the key pieces of Halo Infinite’s development team, it was revealed that Mary Olson had left 343 Industries.
Microsoft and the 343 team once again tried to employ some damage in the form of optimistic PR statements, but their strategy was significantly less effective this time around given the timeline of this departure in relation to Longo’s already stunning decision to leave the studio. Suddenly, many more fans were much more worried about what was happening behind the scenes.
July 23, 2020 – Halo Infinite Gameplay Trailer Falls Flat
Two years after its reveal, 343 Industries finally showcased Halo Infinite’s gameplay. What followed was a resounding “meh.”
Actually, that might be a generous summary of the reaction to Halo Infinite’s gameplay. Not only did the game look rough from a technological standpoint, but most people walked away from the gameplay reveal without a strong idea of what kind of game Halo Infinite actually is.
Ultimately, Halo Infinite’s gameplay reveal was a failure that left many fans wondering how this game was supposed to be released in just four months.
July 30, 2020 – 343 Tries to Address Fan Concerns in a Blog Post
Not long after Halo Infinite’s gameplay debut, 343 shared a blog post that tried to explain the shape of the early gameplay footage and get ahead of concerns regarding the title’s shortcomings.
This was really one of the first times we heard 343 Industries prominently address concerns regarding the game’s development. Most of the previous messages we heard from Microsoft and 343 before prior to this point tried to maintain a more noticeable “everything is fine” tone that barely acknowledged reasonable concerns.
August 11, 2020 – Halo Infinite is Delayed
Arguably the biggest moment in Halo Infinite’s troubled development occurred when Microsoft and 343 shocked the world by revealing that Halo Infinite would not be released in 2020.
The shock of that announcement lingers to this day. What was supposed to be the Xbox Series X’ premiere launch game instead became yet another 2020 game delayed due to development problems.
Yet, there are many who felt that the complications caused by developing a game during the COVID-19 pandemic may have had less to do with this delay than the rough shape of the project itself. Those rumors were about to become significantly more popular.
August 13, 2020 – Reports Suggest Halo Infinite Was Almost Split into Multiple Parts
Shortly after Halo Infinite’s delay, Phil Spencer confirmed that there were discussions at one point regarding whether or not it was better to release Halo Infinite in multiple parts rather than delay it entirely.
This was an interesting moment as it not only highlighted the extent of the game’s development problems but the idea that prominent members of the Xbox team were in some way dissatisfied with the game’s progress and wanted to step in to remedy the situation.
August 19, 2020 – A New Report Highlights Halo Infinite’s Internal Development Struggles
After years of speculation regarding Halo Infinite’s development struggles, a report from Thurrott seemed to shed some light on just how rough the road to this point had been.
The report suggested that a combination of outsourcing, creative turnover, and the struggles of developing a new engine had significantly hindered Halo Infinite’s development and cast serious doubt on the future of the project.
This report didn’t contain many revelations that fans hadn’t already assumed were true but it did capture the scope of the game’s development problems and how they may have impacted the project right from the start.
October 22, 2020 – 343 Update on Halo Infinite’s Armor System Worries Fans
A rare official update regarding Halo Infinite’s development progress doubled as a worrying signal that the game will utilize a Destiny-style shader system that could lean heavily on microtransactions.
While worrying in and of itself, this update feels especially relevant when coupled with the previous suggestion that fans would love Halo Infinite’s armor and customization system. The optimism that accompanied that suggestion felt like something from a lifetime ago.
October 28, 2020 – 343 Industries Director Chris Lee Leaves the Project
Just when we all thought that Halo Infinite’s no good, very bad year couldn’t get worse, it was revealed that Chris Lee had decided to move away from Halo Infinite and take on other responsibilities within Microsoft.
Lee was one of the few remaining high-profile creative presences on the Halo Infinite team as well as the guy who penned that early blog post that suggested Halo Infinite’s development would be driven by the input of its fans. That’s one of the many reasons we felt his departure raised Halo Infinite’s biggest red flag yet.
November 30, 2020 – 343 Shoots Down New Battle Royale Rumors in Apology to Fans
While 343 Industries Community Director Brian Jarrard taking to Twitter to downplay the latest rumors regarding the project’s supposed battle royale mode wasn’t necessarily a big story in and of itself, it is interesting that he took that moment to apologize to fans for what a rough year it’s been.
The biggest overall complaint regarding Halo Infinite’s development cycle has been the lack of updates from 343 that have forced those to jump to their own conclusions. Jarrard called for patience and understanding at a time when it felt like trust in 343 was at an all-time low. He acknowledged that a lack of updates had fuelled potentially harmful speculation but seemed to suggest that the team still wasn’t ready to share any significant new information about the game.
December 9, 2020 – Halo Infinite Officially Delayed to Fall 2021
With the announcement that Halo Infinite has been delayed until sometime late in 2021, Microsoft has seemingly ended the year in significant Halo Infinite updates on an appropriately despondent note.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Halo Infinite is not necessarily doomed to fail, but the idea that the game has been delayed a year or more after it was supposed to be the flagship title for Microsoft’s new console highlights the impact of the events that led us to this point and leaves us with serious questions regarding what the best-case scenario for Halo Infinite even is at this point.

Here’s what Microsoft announced at E3 2018
With 50 titles, including 15 Xbox exclusives, today’s Microsoft E3 event was wall to wall with new game trailers. As the first press conference of the big three, the company clearly wanted to put on a big (and extremely loud) show — and largely succeeded on that front. We won’t bore you by featuring all 50, but here’s the big news you missed.
Halo Infinite
youtube
Microsoft kicked the show off with a brief teaser announcing the latest entry in its much loved first-person shooter series, Halo. We don’t know much about Halo Infinite, including timing and story specifics, but Xbox head Phil Spencer promised that the title will be Master Chief’s “greatest adventure to save humanity.”
Crackdown 3
youtube
Arguably the most eagerly awaited title of the show, Crackdown 3 got an explosive gameplay new trailer, starring a shouting Terry Crews as Commander Jaxon. The neon vehicle transforming title hits the system in February.
Forza Horizon 4
youtube
Playground Games was among the five studios Microsoft announced it had acquired during today’s big show. No surprise, Forza Horizon 4 got a whole lot of love at today’s event, as well. The company explained that, among other things, the game is getting changing seasons, as players ride cars through the UK countryside, as fake leaves began to fall from the ceiling inside the press event. The game features more than 450 cards and arrives October 2.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
youtube
The sequel to 2015’s critically acclaimed  Ori and the Blind Forest features a much larger world and new puzzles. The title will arrive as an exclusive for Xbox One and Windows 10.
Gears 5
Epic announced not one, but three Gears titles at the event. There’s the adorable Funko collaboration, Gears Pop, the strategy game Gears Tactics and, of course, Gears 5. The title good a moody trailer. We still don’t know much about the game, but many are anticipating a Fortnite-like battle royale mode for the title.
Kingdom Hearts III

Don’t have enough Frozen in your life? Good news, the latest addition to the Disney-obsessed RPG series will feature a number of characters from the musical — and will be arriving on the Xbox.
Fallout 76
In Fallout 76, you’re one of the first to emerge into an untamed, and very different, wasteland. #XboxE3 pic.twitter.com/U9oN6Mr1ty
— Xbox (@Xbox) June 10, 2018
One of this year’s most eagerly awaited titles, Fallout 76 is about to get a lot more love at tonight’s big Bethesda press conference. In the meantime, Microsoft offered a taste of what to expect.
Devil May Cry 5
It’s been a decade since Capcom’s hack and slash title Devil May Cry 3 hit the Xbox 360. Due out next Spring, the long awaited sequel is direted by beloved designer Hideaki Itsuno.
Jump-Force
You think the Avengers was the most ambitious crossover event in, etc., etc.? Bandai Namco’s new fighting game Jump-Force features some of the most beloved anime characters in recent decades, including Naruto and Dragonball’s Goku.

Microsoft Xbox at E3 2019: The Greatest Bulletins
http://tinyurl.com/yyg2r6ot Whereas Sony selected to sit down out E3 2019, Microsoft made some large bulletins throughout its keynote, speaking up the following Xbox codenamed Undertaking Scarlett, unveiling a brand new Elite Collection 2 controller, and displaying off its cloud gaming service, xCloud. All that was along with offering launch dates for the likes of Halo Infinite, Gears 5, and Age of Empires II: Definitive Version, asserting the return of a beloved franchise in Flight Simulator, and confirming a giant collaboration that entails Recreation of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin. And oh, Keanu Reeves confirmed as much as announce that he could be a part of Cyberpunk 2077, the open world recreation from The Witcher maker CD Projekt Pink. It almost introduced the home down. Whereas most of that stuff is not due for a number of months or a few years, Microsoft launched a brand new subscription service in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on stage at E3 2019, which mixes the 2 current Xbox subscriptions: Xbox Stay Gold and Xbox Recreation Cross. It is already obtainable. Setting that apart, listed here are the most important bulletins from Microsoft’s Xbox E3 2019 occasion. The subsequent Xbox: Undertaking Scarlett With its next console due in late 2020, Microsoft is bringing 8K gaming, a SSD, ray-tracing, and assist for as much as 120fps refresh price. Sony has already barely detailed the following PlayStation, and you may count on it to rival that launch interval. ‘Titanfall 2’ to welcome free update
Though squeezed by means of two of the yr’s biggest movement games, 2016 launch Titanfall 2 keeps its marketing campaign of loose updates with a trailer for an April 25 growth that carries two greater maps, a new faction, and the return of a legacy game mode.
It launched to a swathe of appreciative reviews, constructed on one of the maximum-hyped games of 2014, and launched on PlayStation four, Xbox One and Windows PC in which the authentic Titanfall changed into tied to Xbox and PC simplest.
Still, Titanfall ” faced a pummelling at the palms of two well-hooked up juggernauts.
With an incredibly predicted go back to the World War I technology, Battlefield 1 debuted Oct 21, 2016.
Two weeks later, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare went the alternative way and leaned hard right into a sci-fi setting.
Stuck in the middle become Titanfall 2, a near-future shooter providing nimble guys and hulking, mechanized battle machines. Squeezed with the aid of the bigger video games, it stumbled to in shape the sales of its much less widely to be had predecessor.
But instead of being left for lifeless, Titanfall 2 has received ongoing help seeing that release.
New maps, modes, functions, and fixes have arrived regularly, at the same time as sales and weekends of expanded person development have also recommended uptake.
Its studio, Respawn Entertainment – based through the co-creators of the Call of Duty franchise – spelt out its upcoming plans remaining week, promising 4 new arenas, one unfastened and elective paid-for Titan machines, a new faction to combat for (or against,) and new moves along the constant trickle of cosmetic for-purchase objects.
Two of those 4 maps are actually set for an April 25 replace, which additionally welcomes the MRVN faction, plus ago back from the original Titanfall for recreation mode Marked for Death, and more than one other touch-ups – remodeled menu, stage cap growth for pilots, and so forth.
“We’ll allow you to parents speculate as to what else we can be running on,” Respawn had stated whilst detailing mid-12 months assist plans on April 13; similarly to future Titanfall prototypes, the studio is thought to be running on a Star Wars name in addition to Titanfall spin-offs for the South Korean market and for smartphones. — AFP Relaxnews
Titanfall Review
Microsoft must be feeling a touch bit fearful proper now. The Xbox One is, in reality, getting decimated by Sony’s PlayStation four. In order to stay inside the console race with the brand new generation, Microsoft wishes a killer app or some other Halo-like hit. It seems they’ve hit gold with Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall. After playing the retail version obsessively, I can confidently pronounce Titanfall as one in all my all-time favorite games.
The first component you need to recognize approximately Titanfall is that there isn’t always an offline single player campaign. This is a disgrace because a global this rich could truly benefit from a 6-10 hour immersive revel in. What you get with Titanfall is an internet most effective campaign. Basically, you manipulate either the revolt Militia or the Star Wars Empire-like IMC. There are quite a few missions to run, shoot and vault yourself through. Often there was a lot movement on screen that it was tough to listen to the plot-constructing dialogue.
Truthfully, I turned into having so much fun gambling the game as a multiplayer shooter that I rarely paid interest anyway.
That’s the aspect with Titanfall: it combines so many specific stories into one package. If I ought to evaluate it to other franchises, I would say it is a masterful mixture of Mechassault, Tribes, Halo, and of the route, Call of Duty. It’s a welcome exchange of pace to have a shooter that is not part of the over cliche army set. Everything simply feels right.
When you finally get your boots on the ground, you’ll find a battle-torn environment to vault through. That’s why this recreation strikes a chord in my memory so much of the conventional PC sport, Tribes. It’s all approximately movement at the battlefield. Your person is geared up with a soar p.C., making him/her a gleefully nimble destiny soldier. It’s momentum-paced and a talented participant ought to without difficulty traverse the map without letting their feet contact the floor. Titanfall’s squaddies are like Master Chief with a case of Red Bull injected into his blood flow.
Besides all of the leaping round, you of direction have the big mechs referred to as Titans. You earn these massive metal machines through both anticipating the timer to complete constructing them, or you can shave treasured seconds off of the time meter with the aid of gambling the targets or killing other soldiers. No, be counted how professional you’re, you’ll be able to name those mammoths down earlier than the give up of the fit. Near the quiet of the match, you may absolute confidence see several Titans struggling with it out within the field. To say it’s far thrilling would be underselling the factor.
There are 3 one of a kind Titans you may play around with in Titanfall.
You have rapid Strider, who’s all approximately guerrilla-like ambushes; the slower Ogre who has a massive pool of health; and Atlas, the best of each world. When you begin the sport for the primary time, you’ll handiest have access to customizing the Atlas however as you finish each side of the campaign you’ll be capable of unlocking the opposite. It’s a carrot on a stick however when the sport is this a laugh, who cares?
With all of the leaping and mech calling you is probably questioning about the actual middle gameplay: the capturing. Well, you could relaxation clean- Titanfall has a number of the most gratifying gun gameplay ever to be released on PC or on consoles. Whether it is the pleasant snap of the two sniper rifles you can unencumber or the shredding capabilities of the shotgun, you will experience right at domestic with those guns. All of the Pilots have to get right to entry to anti-Titan guns as nicely so that you by no means sense absolutely helpless when one of the lumbering iron giants reveals its way to you.
Inviting Songs That Begin With The Word Welcome
A colleague in my poetry magnificence some years ago claimed that a terrific music is sort of a pair of socks clean out of the dryer, warming your toes on the cold floor within the iciness. The simple labored for me, except that I stored considering how most of the socks I pull from my dryer pop out without a mate.
A higher contrast for an amazing music, I suppose, would be the house of a pal. The track eagerly invitations you in and, as soon as dinner, you feel effectively relaxed.
With that metaphor in thoughts, it is sudden how few songs start off with the word welcome. It could be a perfect greeting for the listener, who desires to revel in his go to.
Here are popular songs that clearly do start with the phrase “Welcome.”

This horrifying greeting is the identify track to the first album Cooper did after leaving his original band, who quickly launched a document underneath the name Billion Dollar Babies.

Welcome Back by using John Sebastian
Lovin’ Spoonful’s the front man scored his first solo hit with this topic track from the Welcome Back, Kotter TV display starring a young John Travolta.
