He spent three days away from her, they spent three days alone at home to make up for it. They were becoming hermits. She knew that, and it would be good for them to go to the party, but that didn’t mean she wanted to share her husband with anyone else, even just to gaze upon. “Why on earth is she requesting we all bring food? Drizella hadn’t known what to expect when the older woman cupped her face with her hands, her hands surprisingly warm...which she tried not to focus on too much as she clenched her jaw, searching for a hint of sarcasm in Gothel’s tone.

But she heard none and she let out a breath of relief which confused her. What could she possibly be relieved by? It wasn’t like she needed the witch’s approval or--or praise. No...not at all. Did she?

“I know,” She huffed, standing a little straighter and trying to seem all nonchalant about it, hoping Gothel’s hands didn’t slide a little lower to her throat where her pulse had picked up considerably.
