Museums carry paintings from the pasts! Hanging on the walls, true they are artifacts of the pasts, but every thought you have as you look at them, stare at them, even consume them through your eyes! The thoughts you have are modern, more real than the painting probably. That's where humanity and arts succeed! It enables the observer to participate unconsciously. It provokes the mere human to become an artist for however brief it might be, it at least helps them to criticize it if not admire and appreciate wholeheartedly. A museum is a place where your soul is up for exhibit and it's not even a secret or it's not a surprise! After all your opinion on something is a confession of what you are when no one is looking, your opinion is a confession of what you are when you no longer pretend to be someone because you are free (assuming) that nobody is looking and you don't have the society to learn towards something.
