THE WOLF AND THE WILDFIRE

Gloryanna Phyre, the eldest daughter of Lord Drevyn Phyre and Lady Evelyne Phyre of Redwind Hold, grew up in the idyllic summertime of the North. Her family, partly out of proximity and partly out of their father's old friendship, was always close to the Starks- she, in fact, grew up getting into plenty of mishchief and trouble with the eldest Stark boys.

So, when half of the Stark clan goes off to King's Landing, Drevyn Phyre negotiates with two of his oldest friends, Ned and King Robert, to take Gloryanna with them. His hope is that she, now that she is of age to be married, will have her adventerous spirit quelled after visiting the south for awhile, and he hopes the experience will be good for her.

While it is difficult to leave her family for any period of time, and harder still to say goodbye to the friends she had amongst the boys- especially when she hears the news of Jon, whom she had the closest friendship with, leaving for the Nights Watch- Gloryanna is more excited than she would care to admit to embark on the journey.

She has, unknowingly, stepped onto a path that will lead her into the center of hearbreak, war, and tragedy- but she may be more cut out for the games of King's Landing than anyone had anticipated.

The oc/ship it reminds me of: Jon x Gloryanna! Specifically late fic Jon & Glory, but their relationship is a relatively happy one all things considered, and upbeat love songs like this one have kind of always reminded me of them.
