Everything hurt. Her muscles screamed in agony the more she tried to move. Veronica Castillo prided herself on her resilience, but she never imagined herself in a position like this. Weak, and vulnerable. It brought her back to a darker time, a time where she was not in control. The vampire pressed the gash on her side, hoping to stop the bleeding. She needed blood. Lots of blood. In order to heal, she needed her life source and she could not catch the scent of a human for miles.

Veronica could see the lights of a home in front of her. As much as she hated to barge into a home, she needed to feed. She would not kill whoever was inside, she just needed some blood. But the scent she caught was not that of a humans. Oh no, it was quite the opposite. It was a werewolf. While Veronica had nothing against the creatures, her kind and werewolves didn't have best relationship as a collective.

Her vision was getting spotty. The vampire tried her best to move forward, but she dropped down instead. The opening of a door caught her attention, her black eyes stared up to see a man. The werewolf. "Please...help..."

"Dealt with, hunted. It's all the same." The vampire mused, before taking a sip of her drink. "He was." She let the alcohol settle in her throat, before a soft laugh escaped her lips. "You have an interesting view on things...I like that." Veronica shared some of the same views as him. The vampire rarely hunted innocent people to feed from them, she preferred causing pain to those who deserve it. "A lot of people would want my kind dead, so it's refreshing to hear a human say otherwise." Unless he was fucking with her, but so far she had not sensed anything to indicate lies.

His heart beat was a continuous drum in her ears. As much as she would like to, she could not cancel it out. Veronica leaned against the table, her elbow now resting upon the flat surface. Her chin sat at the back of her head, her dark brown eyes taking in every detail of him.

"You're the first human I've brought here...in a while..." Nobody dared touch any of her guests. That was the vampire Erik's policy. A friend of the vampires was not to be touched. Adam was safe, for now.

Veronica pictured how it would feel to dig her teeth into that neck. To have have him under her as she slowly drank from him, to feel his hands on her body as she dug her teeth in deeper. The vampire cleared her throat. "I will say though, some vampires don't deserve to live. Some humans, like that man for that matter. Humanity can be just as cruel as any monster." She had witnessed first hand the evil humans could inflict on one another. "I want to know, what's been your worst encounter?"

Lilith's children weren't that terrifying after a hundred or so years down under, and his run-ins with them were mostly Adam sending them back or them bringing messages through recently deceased people he bumped into at crime scenes. He wasn't about to share that though.

"Oh if you like silence you're definitely in the wrong place," he mused pursing his lips together. "Smaller towns don't have such varied menues though, do they?" He had flirted with the idea of moving to a small town himself, be a beat cop or a logger but he liked the noise and the smell and the life of the city. Too much quiet was distressing and reminded him too much of things he wanted to leave in the past.

At her question he tilted his head to the side for a moment and was thankful for the waiter showing up with their drinks. Still, he wanted to give her an answer. Taking a sip pf his drink, he wet his lower lip. "I said 'dealt with,' not hunted though, did I? I don't hunt creatures. Everyone deserves a shot at this... whatever this is, life, reality... I think the guy you offed today was far more dangerous than the average idiotic demon. And he was 100% human scum."

COURIER SIX. BIO HERE. otherwise known as boris medvedev, otherwise known (but not anymore; this was his name in the before times) as sasha dubrovhsky. very large slavic man. buzzcut clad. ncr defector (prospective ranger turned courier turned ncr errand boy turned insurrectionist turned courier again). addict. romany & russian jewish, mostly, though his understanding of these identities is partially lost to time. descended from inhabitants of vault 13 (and equipped, as a result, with his trusty vault 13 canteen, an item that will need to be wrestled from his cold dead hands). very smart idiot. speech skill slightly neglected in the interest of learning to punch and shoot things instead.

if writing with other courier protagonists, boris can be adjusted so that he is an ncr ranger (and spy moonlighting occasionally as a courier) rather than The Courier.

CRAIG BOONE. former first recon sniper. definitely a war criminal. definitely believes karma is out to get him. boone is alright with this. he is a complicated and extremely perceptive man, and useful, but if you are in any way shape or form a legion sympathizer, he will not kill you. enjoys long walks in the mojave and killing legion. doesn't talk much. more fucked up details available upon request.

ULYSSES. the other courier. wears an old world flag on his back. his home, the divide, is entirely inhospitable. speaks with a stilted gravity. formerly affiliated with the legion after his tribe was subsumed by them, though he is independent now. deeply philosophical individual. concerned by consequences.

BENNY. a cad. a heel. but he did absolutely nothing wrong. benny's the one who put things in motion for an independent new vegas, and while he may not entirely ideologically align with the followers of the apocalypse (he is essentially coded as being in the mob), he does directly work with them, and his vision aligns with theirs. he's willing to play dirty to get what he needs, but it's the wasteland. who isn't. benny is the member of a tribe that was forced to assimilate by mr. house, and is understandably bitter about this. his plan to take the wasteland back from centuries old libertarians may live beyond him, depending on the hands it falls into. when he meets his death, he meets it with dignity - it isn't about him, it's about the vision. he "ain't a fink, ya dig?" just doomed by the narrative.

ALEJANDRO "CASH" CASTILLO. a courier six offshoot (but he is not, at least on this blog, going to be courier six). low speech, high barter. based in part on nacho varga from better call saul; takes his face claim from the same source. quiet, but a good man to have in your corner. he is honourable, arguably, but at the same time understands reality well enough to know when honour can't be an option.

BETTY ZHAO. another courier six offshoot (just a common or garden jack of all trades in freeside in her main verse here). lesbian. very good with energy weapons for reasons that are never disclosed and always seem a little bit suspicious. works in a shop in freeside as a mechanic. chaotic neutral with a lean towards evil. secretly very much in the ncr's pocket.

ARCADE GANNON. inconveniently tall, blonde, and very secretly ex enclave. paranoid. hates talking about himself, which is a problem given his occasional tendency to ramble when nervous. a doctor researcher with a terrible bedside manner. gay. pretty damn good with a plasma pistol. somewhere between his late thirties and early forties. deeply sarcastic. well-versed in latin.

VERONICA SANTANGELO. lesbian. adorable. journeyman scribe affiliated with the new vegas chapter of the brotherhood of steel (which is truly a great deal more relaxed than the others). really wants a nice dress. her parents (a knight and a scribe) were killed in a battle with the ncr when she was relatively young, but she considers the rest of the chapter her family. they - and in particular, one consequential elder named elijah - were the ones who raised veronica after that point. it was thanks to elijah's guidance that veronica turned from, quoting from the wiki: "a tinkerer into an engineering prodigy." elijah also instilled in veronica a sense that authorities ought to be told when they're full of shit.

The cocky grin only served to make the vampire only angrier. "It didn't look like a friendly chat to me." She seethed. "I don't think a friendly chat requires touching and whispering." Her grip on his neck tightened a little bit. Veronica debated on either biting him a little, to take out some of her frustrations, or punish him on the large table, where everyone could come in and see what they were doing. "Why, hm? Why did you do that? Are you so desperate for my attention that you need to behave like a whore?"

Okay, I won’t lie in that I was actually patiently waiting to see if Selena would open back up because I had originally wanted to bring this child in but then she got taken before I got the chance but it’s okay because we’re here now! :)

This is a character I randomly got huge muse for months back but never got to properly roleplay because the group died out after like two days? Unfortunately, I haven’t created a bio just yet but I will hit you with the facts below. And as always, feel free to hit me up for plotting/connections either with this girly or Tessa!

So this here is Ivana Marie Castillo - but she pretty much just goes by Ivy.

Honesty think Holly Golightly with a splash of Veronica Lodge and a dash of 6 from Syrup.

Born and raised in New York, she’s very much from an elite/socialite family but she definitely sprouted out on her own and despises when people account her success to her parents.

She’s 24 and just returned from a two year stay at the London College of Fashion, despite having already started her own business and line as a teenager, she wanted and continues to want to be able to expand herself both mentally and professionally.

She’s very driven, independent and passionate, doesn’t believe in whining and/or making excuses and thinks the only way you can fail is if you don’t learn from a misstep.

She’s very confident and bold and won’t be caught in anything she deems less than perfect.

Basically lives by the motto “you can never be overdressed or over educated.”

She’s very much a lover, basically falls in love like 10 times a day and thinks everyone is something special, but she doesn’t really do commitments of any kind  because she’s focused on her passion and isn’t afraid to admit she’d put it first 11/10 times.

She feels that life is a serious of moments and that people aren’t meant to linger, that you’re meant to appreciate the time you share but allow each other to move on and go where you are meant to.

At the end of the day, she feels there’s one life and you’ve got to live it to the fullest so she’s just doing everything she can and following her passions and embracing each moment.

001. i'm generally comfortable with most subject matter covered in fallout canon (within reason - there are some things handled by fallout that i personally think were handled very poorly, and i am certainly highly critical of the media, which does include grievances with new vegas, and there will sometimes be criticism of it on this blog), but i won't write incest, rape / csa, etc, and will block those who do / who fetishize anything of the sort.

no racism, antisemitism, zionism, (and if you think those latter two are the same thing, dni) etc will be tolerated. terfs dni. the usual. i won't interact with muses from harry potter, peaky blinders, attack on titan, or detroit: become human / other david cage games. i may not follow multis back if they have content on them that i worry my mutuals might not be comfortable with as well, and tend to be quite wary given past experiences. i will also sometimes block or softblock if i see interactions with people or characters i'm not entirely comfortable with for whatever reason. indie is a little weird and, as previously mentioned, i've had some strange experiences. i encourage controlling your own space in the indie world. for that reason, i'll never take a block personally. also on that note, if we're mutuals and you see me interacting with someone who has, for lack of a better phrase, done some harmful shit, feel free to send me a dm and let me know.

while i'm not personally comfortable disclosing my ethnicity online - it is something that i've been taught to hide when possible - except to people i know and trust and talk to, i will disclose that i do look to new vegas as something to process and explore certain aspects of my identity and family history. i do have intergenerational trauma and that is another reason i may use the block button quite liberally/be either slow to follow back or not follow back at all in some cases as i have seen a lot of interpretations of canon (as well as numerous aspects of canon itself) that i don't feel okay with at all. i expect that people do their research when writing cultures and situations they're not familiar with, and try to meet that expectation myself.

002. minors dni. i'm an adult, and i only want to write with adults.

003. i'm fine with shipping but i like to build rapport between characters first and figure out where they stand. rivalry, friendship, etc are also plots i value - my focus won't entirely be on shipping.

"Sounds like fun. I've had my share of run ins with demons as well, nasty little things." Of course, Veronica only knew of two ways to kill them. The usual vampire way, tear them apart until they didn't move anymore. Or call a hunter and get them to kill the damned thing.

"It's...alright, I suppose." Veronica never really had a place to call home. She was like the wind, never settling in one place. "Not exactly my kind of place. I like silence, this place is blaring sirens every ten minutes." That was expected from a large city, but the vampire was annoyed nonetheless. Her new friend looked handsome in the light. The way it hit his face, the shadow it cast, made Veronica want to sink her teeth into him...in more ways than one. Veronica had many lovers through the years, none ever stuck though. It was all fun.

She was only her because her coven had moved here, and she wanted to be close by to protect them. "For someone who fights a lot of creatures, you don't like being called a hunter." The dark haired vampire tilted her head to the side, letting her long black curls fall. "Why is that?"

"Lead the way," Adam said simply, his eyes never too far from her but also picking his surroundings. He had no intention of going back down under due to some vampire thinking he was edible when he least expected it. He knew better than to be reckless in this lifetime.

The spot she picked was quite nice he had to admit, almost as good of a view as Lux's penthouse, though it wasn't as safe as he felt there. But hey, he had to live a little, wasn't that what his friend said all the time?

"Yeah, you could say that," Adam offered clearing his throat a little, slightly too eager to get his drink. He tapped his thumb against the small table watching past her to the skies. It was a nice, warm night and you could almost see some stars. "Mostly fallen angels and regular demons. The ocassional idiotic college werewolf not knowing what's happening to them. Those are fun," he joked with the smallest chuckle. "I hadn't offered to assist in disposing rapists before--not lately anyway, so..." he shrugged. "You like it here? This city I mean."

Veronica smiled. "As a matter a fact, he was." The vampire cast a fleeting glance at the corpse under her boot. He was a rapist, recently released from prison. Lord knows why, but he made the mistake of crossing Veronica. One thing led to another and now he lay dead under her heel. Veronica wiped some of blood off her mouth with the back of her hand, though she had perhaps lost herself too much in the feeding. Her hands were stained, her mouth and chin. It would take some time to clean it all.

Veronica was in front of him in a split second, though still kept a considerable distance. She never underestimated someone, never. "You're cute." The vampire teased, hands rested on her hips. "You're a hunter, aren't you?" Veronica suddenly questioned. "Not a very good one, I'd wager. Considering that I don't have a wooden stake in my chest yet."
