Abilities: channeling, spell-casting, potions, crystals & candles, telekinesis Have you always been aware of your abilities?: For as long as she can remember. Magic was such an every day, every action sort of occurence that it never occurred to Rhiannon that she couldn't use it. Favorite Magical Items: Her grandmother's grimoire. When Rhiannon left her family's home, she fled with the grimoire. This wasn't particularly shocking to the family, it had been passed on to her, but it enraged them nonetheless. What supernatural creature is your character most scared of?: Fae, but she would never admit to it. They just leave her a little uneasy. Who or what would they die for? No one except for herself. She has forsaken that whole thing a long time ago. She would gladly put her life on the life in the pursuit of her own freedom and free choice though. Does your character fight or flee? It depends on the situation and who the foe is. She isn't above fleeing, but there's a spark in her that burns for a fight.

QUESTION ONE: were you born on the island, if so, what kind of curiosities do you have about the world beyond? if you weren’t, what do you miss about the world outside veritas isles? 

Yes. Unfortunately, I have never been away from this place, though I once attempted to run far away from here. I want to explore the rest of this world, see what else is out there. Who else is out there.

QUESTION TWO: what is your favorite part about the island? 

Along the coast of Ravenwyck. I find it peaceful to be by myself there. Or the Evermore Library in Justport. I could spend days there.

QUESTION THREE: if your character is supernatural, do they fear humans? if human, do they fear the supernatural? 

No, I don't see anything to fear from humans.

QUESTION FOUR: share a fun headcanon or fact about your character! this doesn’t have to be long, just something to introduce us to your character! 

Rhiannon is the seventh daughter of a seventh daughter, a legacy that her family believed from the moment of her birth gifted her with great power. She isn't entirely sure if the power part is true, but they always did. Her mother and father kept her close, unbearably so, and after an attempt to flee left her with a broken heart, Rhiannon abandoned her family for good. She refuses to speak her family name, but the one thing tying her to her past is the magically binding betrothal that her family created.

WANTED CONNECTIONS.

Siblings - Rhiannon has six older siblings that she is estranged from. Maybe it stays that way, maybe there's a reconnection?

Best friend - Someone that Rhia feels absolute peace with. They could spend hours not speaking a word, but she feels heard with this person.

Flings - Since getting her heart broken, Rhiannon has been generous with seeking her pleasure in the world. A use 'em and lose 'em type of attitude and they'd better not bring up that pesky betrothal

Rhiannon had told herself, over and over and over again, that she simply did not care. But she had stood back, rooted to her spot, as she watched him and the children that seemed practically mesmerized by him. She was going to walk away, just turn and walk away and continue her existence without him and she would be fine. But instead her blasted legs betrayed her, delivering her right to him like some proverbial moth to flame. “No,” she replied, her voice betraying her, “I haven’t.” She should leave it at that, shut her mouth and walk away now. Now before she hurt. “They love you.”

Running one hand through his hair, he used the other to wave at his students as they departed. It wasn't until the last one had gone that he turned around, noticing a curious onlooker. "You never seen pirate yoga before?" He mused with a wide grin.

She barely held back the urge to slap him. Or just straight up walk away. She shouldn't care anything about what Jack said, because how could she trust any of it? He was a liar and a killer and fates only knew what else--

But she also knew that he had a bit of a point. The bonds shouldn't feel that way, not even remotely. What he described-- It made her skin crawl, because of its inherent wrongness.

100 Random Character Development Questions

038. Surprisingly enough, she doesn’t have any bad substance habits. She’s a social drinker (and occasionally smoker), but never enough for it to be a bad habit. I’d say her primary bad habit, though, is judging people. She’s honestly justified in it, given her upbringing, but it’s no coincidence that John is pretty much her only friend. (Not even pretty much — I would say that he is her only friend.) And for a bonus round: when she was young, she used to bite her nails. But she’d get scolded by her mother and now she not only doesn’t bite them anymore — but she keeps them trimmed and filed sharp (except for her ring and middle finger on her left hand).

039. Hm. A difficult question to answer for someone who’s seen some pretty atrocious things happen/done to people. She doesn’t have a lot of empathy for other people— so I’m going to base this on the two people she actually does care about: herself and John. For her, the worst possible thing that could happen to her is having John taken from her. (We all know in this world that means, John getting killed.) She also can understand objectively that this is a horrible thing to happen to anyone — loss of a loved one is never pleasant, but she doesn’t look at it from an objective moral lens. Another thing that she feels is probably one of the worst things that could be done to someone happened to John — dragging him back into the shitty lifestyle after they’ve found peace outside of it. She doesn’t ever see herself getting out of it; she’s too deeply ingrained — but she knows how horrible it must’ve been for John, and can imagine anyone that happened to would feel the same way. But again, she doesn’t necessarily care about anyone else so it’s less objective than I feel this question is looking for.

040. She really isn’t an obsessive person. Work is work, she doesn’t obsess over that. She even only casually watches TV and movies. I’d say the closest thing to an obsession that she has is her love for bagels — and a classic bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel/roll. She craves either/both of them sometimes. So that’s probably as close to an obsession as you’re going to get with her.

041. Very much so. She can work her way around a computer with ease, and is pretty savvy with the internet. However, all of this is no match for millennial and gen z text lingo. She has a hard time understanding that, but she doesn’t really need to. And if she does need to understand it for some reason (such as a job) it’s nothing a little research can’t uncover.
