☆゚*·゚ ACROSS THE ROOM she stood, looking beautiful. kieran's heart beat faster and faster with every moment he looked at her. from that first moment they'd spoke, he knew he was in trouble. after spending hours during the gala wondering how to go back and speak to her, he knew this was his chance. she stood there under the light, glowing like an angel. her beauty was unmatched. his eyes were locked onto her as he walked toward her, feeling like he was floating on the clouds.
he'd gotten advice and hoped words would form once he stood in front of her. the closer and closer he got, the faster his heart beat. how could one person be so beautiful? kieran put on his best smile, one that he'd realized he only had because of her. it was radiating through him, filling him with love and light. "you really look ethereal tonight. your smile fills me up with a warmth i didn't think i needed and those eyes pull me in with every passing moment. elise, i'm captivated by you."

☆゚*·゚KIERAN WORRIED FOR the future. just about anything could've happened, and he wondered if he was the right person to deal with it. sure, he'd had enough training, and knew well enough that he was a good soldier, but a lot of this was making him feel way in over his head. but she was right. these castles knew when something was happening and that was also partially what worried him. "i worry this castle knows more than its letting on. even if we want to be prepared for everything, it worries me that we'll once again be caught off guard." he sighed, looking back out at the view before him. "but i'll do anything to protect my court and people. they're all i've got."
amethyst could read a room, it came from centuries of practice and she could feel the unease at every turn. her own worries churning the pit of her stomach. but she was able to thrive in the pits of those worries, they pissed her off and within that state she was able to think clearly. even now looking out onto the horizon, she was able to channel her nervous energy for clarity. "they do," amethyst agreed with an amused smile. "even if you, yourself, do not know it is where you need to be." it had happened so many times to herself over the years. she nodded, looking from the horizon to the man. "then we must be prepared for everything."

☆゚*·゚THE COURTYARDS HAD trees that were products of kieran's dreams. while stuck here, he knew he needed to practice his trap skills. but maybe this wasn't the best idea. because while kieran generally knew what he was doing, he'd never met this tree before, so he wasn't sure how the leaves felt or how they worked together. even though he used his best knot skills to connect the vines and leaves together in order to make a climbing rope strong enough to move through the trees.
but there was a problem here. in trying to make sure he learned enough about these trees and how the branches grew, kieran stepped into the trap and was now hanging from a tree. laughing lightly, he felt absolutely ridiculous. trying to reach something in his pockets to cut himself free was proving to be difficult. turning his head, he saw someone walking towards him. and immediately, he recognized the boots. "oh, vyr, uhm... help."

☆゚*·゚IT WAS SAFE to say that kieran didn't understand how he'd woken up wrapped up in a curtain, butt ass naked. his memory was in pieces and he didn't understand why or how. rubbing his eyes, he looked around, trying to understand. there wasn't much around him that helped him figure it out. if he was to get down, he'd need to do it carefully. curling his body close, he wrapped the curtain around himself and rolled. he'd likely flash someone and just hoped that he was skilled enough to grab curtain as he rolled. when he landed on the ground, with a loud thud, he groaned loudly, not preparing to meet the eyes of the autumn spymaster. "look, i swear i don't know how i ended up like this. last thing i remember, i was in bed with a pretty girl and somehow i wound up wrapped up high in this curtain. and now i look like i'm going to some themed party."

‘ rahul kohli, cismale, he/him, 35 / 350 , illyrian ’ ― cauldron save you. it seems kieran acharya has finally made it to the capital, the second in command from the autumn court is said to be imaginative and is said to describe themselves with the smell of freshly falling leaves, chaotic baking afternoons full of messes, clashing swords and swear words echoing through the woods, healing and calming auras filling hearts close by and with all of this in mind their impulsive nature always seems to get them into trouble. may the mother hold them as they navigate this unthinkable time.
full name: kieran visha acharya nicknames: kie, kier age: 35/350 date of birth: february 8th gender: cismale pronouns: he/him sexual orientation: bisexual faceclaim: rahul kohli hair color: black eye color: dark brown height: 6'4 tattoos: illyrian tattoos (and some he'll never share) signature scent: vanilla & lavender
background:
kieran doesn't remember much before basic training. or perhaps it's that he doesn't want to remember. his whole world was based around his illyrian training. as a kid, all he could remember was picking up a sword and learning to fly. even the stress of learning how his wings worked was pushed so far back in his head that he couldn't tell you how all of it happened. but he was good at it, incredibly good at it and he knew it. kieran knew his strengths and weaknesses and made sure everyone else knew it too. despite all of this foolishness, the autumn court gave him a home. they allowed him a place to live and be himself.
he joined the autumn army, needing to find a kinship with others. kieran wanted to show his love to the court that gave him a life. but it was the best decision he'd ever made. there, he found his best friend, suho, the one that he'd do just about anything for, no matter what. rising through the ranks, kieran forced himself to train harder and harder each and every day to become as strong as he could.
but not everything was always so easy. kieran was far too impulsive for his own good and always found himself in sticky situations. but kieran was the kind that could always find a solution in any situation. and not just a generic solution, but instead, he came up with the most creative solutions he could. they were all incredibly creative, but at the same time, really bizarre.
due to him being horribly impulsive, kieran found himself constantly covered in scratches and bruises, and as a result, learned how to take care of himself. his knowledge of bandages and herbal tea remedies were always helpful to any type of healing he needed. in fact, he was incredibly proud of himself for it.
when suho became high lord, kieran, while shocked, knew that no matter what, he would support his best friend. becoming the second in command, he made sure to do the very best job he could. and her loves his life. it's everything he could want.
personality:
kieran is very impulsive, always wanting to go on an adventure, try something new, or in reality, do something really foolish. but he's very imaginative and loves to come up with new ideas for almost everything. he's very kind, loving, and sweet, but he does have rage issues and can freak out over the smallest thing. when he does, he tends to grumble and groan in gibberish and only suho knows how to get him out of it. his spontaneous nature isn't always a good thing and gets him into quite a bit of trouble.
there's more, but my brain tired.

☆゚*·゚HE HADN'T EXPECTED their help, surely not like this but kieran wasn't going to take any chance meetings for granted. in fact, their advice was sound. until now, no one had gotten close to him, and kieran didn't really have too much of a plan, other than simply striking up a chill conversation and potentially asking the guy to meet up later. "i wasn't sure. that was part of my stakeout plan, but you're right. there's no reason he'd tell me anything." kieran sighed, keeping his eyes on the man, watching as he picked up an item from the table. "i'd simply thought about simply asking, informing him that i mean no harm to him or to anyone else. all we want is information. it's worked in the past, but he seems flighty, not sure why. perhaps i need more time simply surveilling him.
they consider it for a moment. truly, it is none of their business, but curiosity wins out. additionally, they are unsure if the other is lying or not, and it's probably best that they check it out. even if it does eat up their time patrolling the area. "you can't just approach him without a plan. organic only works when you have a base to work on. how do you plan to getting information out of him? have you considered perhaps he would not open up to a stranger?" they don't know why they keep going, but the advice slips from them anyway. "you must know what they are interested in, the inner workings of their mind. once you have a target, you have to know the target. many have posed as handmaids, barkeeps, romantic interests. what do you plan to say to him?"

☆゚*·゚AFTER FINDING HIMSELF wrapped up naked in a curtain, kieran knew he needed to make sure that everyone was okay, especially his high lord. after successfully making it down, accidentally pulling the curtain down with him. he wrapped it around him like a toga, needing something to cover him until he found either his clothes or someone's clothes. waddling through the hallways, he searched for his high lord, just needing to know that he appeared somewhere and wasn't in some difficult situation. kieran called out for him. "suho? where are you? i sincerely hope you're not stuck somewhere! suho!" he spun around, trying to locate his high lord and best friend. "do i need to save you?!"

☆゚*·゚ THERE WERE FEW people that kieran would protect until the ends of the earth. his first time meeting the young day court lady was by happenstance, and until then, all he'd felt was a desire to protect her. ellie was a bright shining light in the world, even if she didn't truly believe it. this desire for protection extended to her siblings. despite ellie being from a solar court, kieran would do just about anything for them. the high lords of the day court were worthy of that protection and care. spotting declan across the way, kieran had to know how they were doing. "please tell me that nothing happened to any of you, especially ellie. i know she can get scared easily. she doesn't deserve to be part of any of this," kieran stated, still searching for her throughout the crowd. "she's a light in the world and i want to keep it that way. if there's anything i can do, please let me know."

☆゚*·゚SPOTTING HIS HIGH lord from across the room, kieran quickly scanned over him, ensuring he wasn't injured from the shake before he rushed across the ballroom toward him. "please for the love of illyria, tell me you're alright and i don't need to launch into full panic mode," kieran explained, staring directly at his high lord and best friend. "i should've been right by your side and not by the food or thinking about how fun it would be to swing from these balconies..." he mumbled under his breath, trying not to laugh at his own foolish ideas. "suho, i'm sorry i wasn't right here to make sure you were safe."

☆゚*·゚HIS SWORD FELT like an extension of his hand and always brought him a sense of comfort. when he was stressed, training always seemed to bring him back and remind him what was important. it reminded him of who he was and how he'd become the person he prided himself on being today. as he nodded in response, kieran's footwork came back like it never left. their swords clanged together and kieran's body calmed. as he stepped again, he raised his sword again, moving swiftly with the other. his movements matched his, and they continued to spar, giving kieran a satisfactoin he needed. "i'll agree with you there. clear head, clear mind, necessary after all that nonsense. should help later." his words were quick and matched his sword movement, which actually impressed him.
Matteo chuckled. That was a nice change of pace from the constant scowl that had been on his face as of late. "Nonsense. No need to apologize." He grabbed his sword from the scabbard on his spinning it with his wrist to get the balance right in his hand before taking up his stance. He gave the other quick nod before stepping closer with a quick swing of his sword, his blade contacting the others with a loud clang. He felt his mind clear and focused on the other in front of him. "This is what I needed." He said lunging again before spinning around and meeting the other's blade with his again.

☆゚*·゚STRIPPING AWAY WHAT was part of kieran felt like robbery, the kind that could tear away your soul in every breath. he wouldn't let himself get sucked into a hole of frustrating feelings that he couldn't get out of. in order to feel somewhat normal, kieran needed to focus on what he could do, and right now, kalore had a plan. knowing there was another second in command that felt the same frustration that he did was reassuring. it wasn't just an autumn thing, or rather just a kieran thing. "do you have any ideas about why that's a thing? about why our powers are being stripped away?" he knew that stripping a fae's power was a way to weaken them, but why weaken them to just to not harm them? or were they waiting for the right time? "i don't know. that's what we need to find out. it might show us what they've been hiding from." the second part of kieran's frustration was his inability to fly. flying was in his DNA, and always gave him clarity. he couldn't even do that. "it's not even to figure anything out. at least for me, flying's a release. it calms me down and centers me back to who i am. i don't know about the others, but i'm antsy because i can't clear my head. i can't just focus on my wings and nothing else." kieran was itching to get into the sky and just take note of the court from above. but maybe that was part of the process too. they were trying to keep them from doing that. taking a deep breath, he turned back to kalore. the other had a plan, and kieran needed to do something before he went nuts. "sounds like a plan. we need all hands on deck to figure this out. do we want to do this together or split up? both have their merits. i don't mind either way."
the fascination most around them held was undeniable, and while to an extent it was to be expected, it was not as easy to lure the commander of the night court into the similar spell of wonder. now, the dragons had their uses, a fae army reinforced with dangerous beasts was impressive enough, but his concern foremost remained his own court, and to an extent what this meant for prythian as a whole. a court living in isolation, he truly doubt they knew how to play well with others. he is pleased to find that the autumn commander felt the same as the night fae, "we are all in a similar predicament, at least until our powers returned." kalore more so wished for his daemati abilities, but unknown those around save for siara, that he was one. "prisoners yet again, this one lands we know nothing of. i am curious as to where on prythian they have hid for so long..." it was one of the most pivotal questions to uncover, exactly where were they? while kalore has not been to the seasons side of prythian, he was certain he'd known if it were anywhere near or in between the solar and the seasons. "i can see how antsy you illyrians are to fly out and see, though i don't recommend it, there seems to be a barrier of sorts around here as well." a faint smile tugs at kalore's lips as his gaze meets kieran's, "i thought you might say that. we slip in where we can and begin digging around, the spymasters will be already, but it will take more than minds of a spymaster. first, we map out this entire palace and go from there."

☆゚*·゚KIERAN ALLOWED HER to move her feet, keeping a small eye on them, allowing himself to follow her feet and block her attack. "oooh, that's a good one. not many people would do that," he explained, spinning around and stepping to the side. "okay, and if i step here, then you..." kieran started, taking a long step forward and to the side. he enjoyed sparring with others. it allowed him to see different techniques to add to his own repertoire.
anything to do with training and furthering herself to be better was something that the lady would be eager for. watching the respected man stretch and get into his own stance was inspiring to the general. holding up her own sword toward the other she breathed in before moving her feet to show the other. "like this." she added.

☆゚*·゚KIERAN FIDGETED IN his spot, now wondering if he shouldn't have asked that at all, because now, he couldn't answer aeri's questions. "wow, i wish i had answers. i should've been more prepared for that, honestly. i don't know if we can get home right now, so unfortunately, we might have to get used to this." watching him, kieran wondered what exactly he was thinking, and when he stated that he'd wanted one for himself, perhaps they should investigate. "should we go investigate? see what we can figure out and find someone that might let us say hello?"
aeri shrugged, not even sure where to start with everything they wanted to know. “ how can we get home ? when can we get home ? are we just stuck here now ? ” they nodded, eyes brightening with mischievousness. oh yes. they would be the first not dusk court fae to touch a dragon. it was their goal now. “ i want one, i think. a dragon, i mean. i want one for myself. ”

☆゚*·゚AFTER A STUFFY night, kieran was at least amused with the thought of enjoying the company of some of the stranger guests at this party. "he has to have some kind of story and who knows, he might even be drunk enough to slip some secrets," he explained, chuckling softly to himself. pursing his lips, he tilted his head, wondering what the quiet people would have to say. "difference isn't always a bad thing. sometimes you need to think differently to find the right solution. i've found that sometimes the quietest enjoy talking simply because no one usually takes the time to. might be worth speaking to them."
siara was not sure why she was entertaining this conversion, but the other wasn’t rude and that made it easy to embrace the social side of herself she’d built just for this position. she doubted the other would offer many secrets, her shadows were already doing enough of that, but at least this passed the time and she wasn’t in a sour mood. “ always a good reason to start a conversation with someone. ” she echoes. “ my choices are entirely different than yours might be. i find interest in the quietest, the most observant. ”

☆゚*·゚HE STOOD THERE, staring at his sister in complete shock. for years, kieran missed her, wanting to visit her, but with so many obstacles, and not fully knowing where she was, it was difficult for him to process what happened in the last moment. "you do," kieran whispered softly. as she ran to him, he wrapped his arms around her, holding on tightly. his sister was actually here, wrapped up in his arms. he laughed lightly, lightly running his hands through her hair comfortingly. "it's okay, i'm proud of you for coming up with the threat. no, no, just your good ol' brother." he pulled way slightly, smiling down at her. "i'm not going anywhere, not again," kieran whispered, still in shock that she stood before him. "hey hey, look at me, right in the eyes. i'm completely real." he reached up and took hold of her face, squeezing her cheeks as a brother would. she was really here, really standing in front of him after all this time. his sister. she was here.
she didn't recognize him at first. her mind was wheeling towards catastrophe, wondering how she was going to get herself out of this kind of trouble... internally, she bemoaned all the things that she hadn't been able to read, transcribe, translate or find. she knew she was about to find out what it was like to be the primary source foolish people like her find and --
"oh ... Oh ...." she clasped her hands to her mouth. "i know you..." she whispered and then stepped towards him, another step and another. "you ..." she breathed out. the passageway was large enough for her wings to extend, and they did -- though her damaged wing could no longer unfurl as proudly as it had once. then, she ran to him and threw her arms around him, burying her face against his shoulder. "it's not all disease and death here, i lied... i don't have any guards either, i just said that because i was scared, and i thought you were one of those creatures or something we don't have a name for yet - you can stay if you want, please stay - key... please. don't be a dream, don't be another dream."

☆゚*·゚THE BEST WAY to ease his stress without hurting himself in any rigorous training or anyone else for that matter was to drink. kieran found himself heading to the closest bar that he could find. pushing open the doors, he tried not to call too much attention to himself, but when he sat next to someone, a soft groan slipped from his lips. kieran had taken the first seat he'd seen, not realizing that there were more open ones. but it didn't matter. maybe company would be good as well. raising his hand to the bartender, he ordered a simple scotch, just needing a little bit of something to get himself grooving. "honestly, i don't know anymore. thought i'd find some excitement today. don't really care what it is at this point, just something to feel like there's some normalcy in my life."
@sparkledleaves your choice
Mateo was in need of a drink or to get fucked, but he would have to settle for a drink. He made his way into the town that he had explored a little since they had arrived unceremoniously to the Dusk Court. He wasn't that picky on what to drink or who he would take to bed, but tonight he had decided a drink was all he was after. He made his way into the local establishment and had the bartender make him one of the local favorites. He had no idea what it was going to be. The glass set down in front of him was smoking slightly, and smelled of mint and raspberries. He wasn't quite sure how the smoke worked into it but he wasn't going to complain. He lifted the glass to his lips and was pleasantly surprised by the sweetness. He was careful though not to drink it fast, he didn't know what was in it and unsure how it would affect him. He sighed when he felt the person come close to him from behind. He looked over, "You ok there?" He asked the person next to him.
