The brisk gust of chilly air brushed against the young werewolf's pale skin as he growled in frustration. Baron had been sitting there for hours, his thoughts running aimlessly through his mind. He didn't want to accept everything he had done, even though Kristin (still weird calling her mom) insisted it wasn't his fault. But it was; he had brought terror to their town—he was a monster.

Suddenly, Baron heard a faint sound of footsteps approaching from behind. He remained motionless. A slight scowl sat between both corners of his mouth firmly in place, with his arms crossed over his chest and his shoulders hunched up. Baron shifted his gaze down, glaring at the dirt with his eyes beaming gold.

"Tch. Really? Helping each other from outside? I'm really gonna have to call backup, aren't I?" The grunt sneered. "Sandslash, use Mud-Slap!"

"Dodge and use Crunch!" Luxray jumped out of the way of the mud and jumped in and bit down hard on Sandslash! Sandslash screamed out and collapsed from the pain.

"All right, he did it!" Baron cheered.

"Against a Ground Pokemon, too... not bad, Rock." Cynthia smiled.

The Pokemon Masters League. A tournament held on the artificial island of Pasio attracting only the best and brightest Trainers in all the world. Everyone from Gym Leaders to Champions to... villainous team leaders are allowed to compete in this prestigious event. And right now... Trainers Rock and Anzu were getting ready for their first matches in the tournament

And they weren't the only ones. The young Pokemon Professor-to-be, Brandon Astral, and his sister, Alolan Detective Bella, were invited to Pasio as well to participate with some of their own Pokemon. Brandon was paired up with his partner, Jirachi, and Bella was paired up with her partner, Mismagius. The two of them were exploring Pasio and admiring the sights and even making some new friends

Was looking for a scene on Giedi Prime and noted how the voice annoucer in the arena speaks in whatever is the Harkonnen language and calls him

Feyd Ra-otha. Or Rawtha.

But the Baron in his tub squarely calls him more Rotha.

And then it clicked. We never hear any of the top Harkonnens speak their language. They all speak English, which, we must presume, is Galach.

I just really enjoy the idea of the Harkonnen elite being divided from their people by language, the same way kings have ruled over lands without ever speaking their people's language. Or the way the rich would pick up French in the 19th century, because it was fashionable to be able to converse in it and read it, while the poor had their dialects...

"I already like reading, so I might go to that one, actually." Blake said.

"Hmph. Fine, it at least looks the least intolerable of all the clubs here." Byakuya spoke next.

"And don't forget about Nekomaru's Sports Club! We specialize in all the sports! Track, baseball, football, and tennis! You name it, we play it! Come on down, all you athletic students and let the Ultimate Team Manager help you reach the peak of your physical performance!"

"You know, don't you need a Pokemon to join the Pokemon club? I can't imagine someone who's never heard of Pokemon would suddenly have one..." Baron questioned.

"No worries. We can get that sorted out easily. So, miss... which do you prefer? Grass? Fire? Water? Or... maybe Normal or Electric?" Brock started asking the angel girl seemingly random stuff...

Idea: Changing up from the fridge terror/epicness of the group's struggle to survive in the Tragedy, branch off from the timeline of events and transport them to a school in a parallel dimension where anyone can show up at any time! This is Multimuse Cluster*@#%!

"Hey, Teach, what about that underground fighting coliseum? You really think that was put there for no reason?"

"That coliseum is a remnant of when Goh was principal here. Furthermore, it is exclusively used for fighting tournaments. Petty disputes like what Bowser and Eggman had do not fall under tournament battles."

"But you know... maybe if two people have a beef, they can use that coliseum as a means to squash it?" Baron suggested.

Baron Vladimir Harkonnen's size and shape being a physical premonition (the future making its mark on the past) of the God Emporer. Baron Harkonnen's sadistic urge to have complete dominion is an integral part of the mind that seeks and chooses the golden path.

"I don't know..." Baron said. "But man, I am absolutely melting out here..."

"Wait..." Krystal spoke. "I think I might have an answer here. I've got a news article on my phone that may explain everything."

[The cause of the sudden heat wave near Sootopolis City is yet to be determined, though it may be linked to rumors of sightings of a Pokemon described only in myths in the Hoenn region. The Pokemon, said to have shaped the lands across Hoenn, is said to have the power to evaporate floods and rainfall with intense heat and sunlight...]

"That's..."

"Groudon?! The Pokemon described in myths as the creator of the land? But... how is it appearing? Don't tell me... it actually exists?"

The creator of the land and continents! The Hoenn region's Groudon appears!

One detail I really like in that scene is how Shaddam NEVER name-drops Paul. He knows for sure Paul is Muad'dib, but he tells the Baron "Muad'dib is alive. I must find him."

You really get to see a fantastic nugget of characterisation for him in that.

He has a crucial bit of information, and he's hoarding it. He doesn't reveal who Muad'dib is, even if it would potentially motivate the Baron to find/kill him. The Baron has been dismissed entirely and showed visually as impotent and at the end of his influence.

Shaddam doesn't care what the Baron or the Harkonnen can bring to the table, at that moment.

There's only the smallest circle of his court here, and his loyal sardaukar. I wonder if his actions against the Atreides are an open secret. I wonder if the Harkonnen are the only ones being kept in the dark.

Whether Shaddam is hoping to "kill Muad'dib" in silence/without a reveal or not, the witholdhing of the name shows you a crafty old man who holds his cards close to his chest and never trusted the Harkonnen in the first place.

It's just neat.
