Asuka announces to your muse as her duel disk activates and inserts her shuffled deck into it. Once the LP meter is activated, the duel is on.

"Duel! I will take the lead. I draw!"

She surveys her hand consisting of Blade Skater, Fusion, Etoile Cyber, Spirit Barrier, Cyber Egg Angel and Stray Lambs.

"I start things up by activating my Spell Card Fusion. I polymerize both Blade Skater and Etoile Cyber. Fusion Summon! Appear Fusion Monster Cyber Blader!"

She announces as her Fusion Monster appears on the battlefield.

"I set a reverse card and end my turn. Now it's your turn."

Honestly, I don't think I'd change that much about him. At least, not about him himself, and even then not much of anything that I haven't already talked about before at some point.

The main thing if I were to change anything about him, like I talk about a lot, is that I'd just have him move on from Alexis after Chazzanova and put his crush on her out to pasture. Because after that it doesn't do anything to serve either of them and it's one of the most glaring issues for me personally that I have with how he's utilized. But I would have the two of them become the best of friends as the rest of the show progresses as she and Atticus help him find his authentic self and give him that safe space he's never had, guiding him in his journey to develop his sense of self and his emotional intelligence. Plus being besties with Alexis would also earn him even more points with Atticus than he already has wink wink if you know what I mean.

And I'd give him Light and Darkness Dragon back. Easily. First thing I'd do.

And more angst. As a fanfic writer, I personally desire more Chazz angst in actual canon to work with.

I probably have a billion more thoughts somewhere about this both in quality and quantity, but my brain is still kinda scrambled so this is all I got at the moment 😅

Ah yes, at last, the day my brain insisted I prepare for, given what the prompt is!

Day 4 of @ygoc-week focuses on Relationships!

And, well, while there are several options to choose from when it comes to Musa's relationships, from her friendly rivalry with Misawa to her almost sibling like relationship with O'Brien to the eventual unofficial adoption by Cronos to even the absolute dumpster fire that is her thing with Asuka or Manjome...

...but I think we all know where this is going.

Thus, allow me to introduce the source of my Musa brainrot, the absolute peak which is: Leadershipping.

because what else is meant to happen when the emotionally stunted meets the emotionally vocal? the introvert meets the extrovert?? the touch-starved meets the physically affectionate??? the "what do you usually do while I'm gone" meets the "wait for you to come back 🥺💞"????

Okay for one, the fact he calls her Musey.

At first shes super adamant about him not calling her that, but it sorta just slips out anyways, and it isnt until her siblings arrive that Kenzan realizes "shhhhhit have I been triggering her this whole time" and starts calling her Musa.

But now its WEIRD because shes gotten used to him calling her that, and the nickname isnt really associated with her siblings anymore, it's with him.

So in their tag duel, one of her brothers calls her Musey, and she glares at him like "you're not allowed to call me that" but when she makes a good move and Kenzan excitedly grins at her like "atta girl, Musey!" and her brothers get pissy like:

"Hey, dont call her that, scum!"

"Actually, no, he's allowed to."

"WHY HIM?"

"Wait, I can?"

"Yes, I like when you do it. It sounds much nicer when you say it."

"HAH! TAKE THAT, I MADE YOUR INSULT INTO A GOOD THING >:D!"

and eventually he slips into even more nicknames, spanning from "my muse" to "songbird" and the like,,,

And while Musa doesnt really use nicknames, she DOES have a thing where once you pass a certain point in her head, she'll use your first name.

So after the tag duel victory and shes being squeezed to death in a victory hug, she just gently hugs him back like "Thank you, Tyranno..."

And he starts internally screaming-

This shit goes CRAZY once season three rolls around, because uh

First off, the zombie stuff is a thing, and Musa hangs back to help organize the home base, but before the others leave she calls for Kenzan and places one of her cards in his hand "for emergencies, bring it back to me" and whatnot.

He nods and places it in his deck like immediately, hes still doing it as they walk off, and Musa's standing there watching them leave, and then Fubuki fucking Tenjoin shuffles over to her smirking like ">:)c well well, the queen of Ra has just given her champion a token of her affections~" and shes like "...nuh-uh-"

And when everyone gets back she just not so subtly sets aside an extra plate to give him since she knows he'd be hungrier and "it is a good contingency in case we need physical support, he is the strongest among us." And Fubuki just gives her this LOOK but she does NOT care because Kenzan's like "awww, Musey, you flatter me, saurus-"

But it ain't all good times in this neck of the woods, no SIR

So naturally she's wearing the bandana for the rest of the season and when everyone makes it back in the end Musa's too busy making sure Sho is alright and also very awkwardly but affectionately hugging Jim and O'Brien before Jim nudges her like "Oi, Musey, lookit-" and Kenzan is there and now shes crying and HE'S crying and runs over and scoops her up in a spinny hug and just

6. once i did consider kisara, probably like years ago, but in reality i really doubt that i have the motivation to try her out. frankly it was simply because i had the psd for her, but aside from that i don't think i would make a good kisara. another character i actually did try out was asuka tenjoin from GX a very long time ago. however, i confess i don't remember much of her muse so --- i don't think i have the confidence or motivation to pick her up again. mana is enough for me in this fandom, especially after all my monkey brain i had invested in her characterization.

7. well.... there is stella, to no one's surprise ---- especially you. she is the muse i will always come back too, and the one i stubbornly refuse to abandon. of course, if we are talking about the long distant past : i did rp maria kurenai in multiple platforms : deviant art , rp forums, and tumblr for a time ( which wow you also followed ). however, i do have a big preference with tumblr for better or for worst.... so i really don't have much muse outside of this hellhole lol.

8. i tried roleplay tifa, a long time ago. mostly because of peer pressure and whatnot, but i simply couldn't find her voice ---- and the duplicate drama was rampant at the time. but overall, if i do make a blog for said muse i usually feel very invested and vibe well with the character. it was really only that tifa attempt that i simply did not feel the need too lol.

Seto Kaiba: Slytherine I know everyone wants him to be a Ravenclaw since he’s an absolute genius businessman and hacker, but I think his ambitious is what drives him forward - he sees no challenge before him when he sets on a mission!

Asuka Tenjoin: Ravenclaw Our smart and amazing Asuka goes directly to Ravenclaw with no questions, considering she’s an Obelisk blue student who’s at the top of her class and enjoys discussing strategies and decks with Misawa.

Yuugo: Gryffindor This kid is riding a motorcycle in search of his childhood friend, gets teleported through dimensions left and right, faces literal murderers and his spirit never wavers - add the fact that most Gryffindors are sometimes huge dummies and he fits right in!

Reiji Akaba: Hufflepuff Another choice that might surprise many people - yes Reiji is also very intelligent, but Hufflepuff is also characterised by hard work, patience and justice. The guy breathes, eats and sleeps justice through a plan he was working on for years, I think these traits serve his character better.

Yusaku Fujiki: Ravenclaw Being an amazing and very admirable hacker at the age of sixteen, Yusaku is sorted quite quickly into Ravenclaw just like Asuka. What’s more, his way of problem solving in programming is very interesting to me, which we see right from episode 1, where he lures Ai rather than try and catch it like SOL and Hanoi tried to and failed.

+bonus Aoi Zaizen: Gryffindor This was the hardest choice for me since she has a trait from each house, meaning she didn’t strongly incline into one of the houses. I still chose Gryffindor since she does show a lot of bravery and courage, and when she’s in VR form she has the self-assurance that people associate with this house.
