𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗵, 𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘇𝗸𝗮

𝐥𝐞𝐨𝐧 𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐳𝐤𝐚 𝐛𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐛 pairing: leon goretzka, she/her info: implied smut, european championship 20/21 author: kind of got the idea after last night sooo, i didn't want to stab around in those new wounds, so something similiar with the european championship requests: always open!

the door slammed shut, revealing the return of an obviously frustrated and disappointed german national player, who wanted to prove more than an exact resemblance to the former championship. instead, the team forced themselves to reach a high score but the communication was low across the field. it worked with the strikers, but the defensive suffered. 

throwing the black bag into one of the corners of the hotel room, leon despised the early return to germany after such a devastating loss. yes, the entire situation against england was really messed up, it wasn’t necessary and the team put themselves in such a difficult position. but leon always fought against sudden anger issues when something worked against the will of the very stubborn player with a high ambition. 

brushing the damp strands over the collarbone, she wrapped the soft cotton towel tighter around her wet figure and opened the bathroom door. her current job didn’t allow her to be with leon until the last game almost ended. she prayed for them, she hoped for them but mostly, she believed in her boyfriend to reach the quarterfinals. 

she witnessed the devastating loss through the television in their hotel room. with tears dwelled in her eyes to see her boyfriend suffer, she watched the breakdowns of the young players on the german team. males, who fought but didn’t get a chance. unlucky.

“leon?” she peaked around the corner, attempting to find out the whereabouts of her boyfriend. sprawled out on the king sized bed, the back of the hands placed over the eyes and still dressed in the black combination of jogging trousers and shirt with the german national team initials all across. a hand sprawled over the hem of the towel where it was kept close, she stepped towards the end of the bed, staring silently at the fuming boyfriend. after the years together, she knew better than to interrupt the moment of silence with unnecessary conversations. 

trapped in a world of rage and anger about the early elimination, leon leaned against the headboard with his back, the lids closed to find a split second of calmness. in this state, he looked peacefully but she remembered those exact situations, she knew the chaos of emotions that bubbled in the pit of his stomach. and instead of moving, she stood there and waited for leon to move, gesture or say anything. 

but the talented football player still surprised her with the quick movements. leaning forward as far as possible and taking the small hand of hers in his large, sweaty palm. the blood boiled with anger, she could feel it on his skin. pulling the slightly dressed female towards him, she landed on top of leon. before she had the chance to seat herself up properly, she was trapped underneath the tall figure of her boyfriend. leaned on the underarms, one on each side of her face, he stared at her without a word.

damp strands sprawled out on the white pillowcase, the eyebrows raised, she waited once again. leon tilted his head down, the chewed-up lips brushed over the soft mouth of hers but he didn’t greet her, he didn’t kiss her. slowly, his hand traveled over the smooth skin of her upper arm towards the waist, where the cotton towel already ride up without any help. the left corner of his mouth shortly lifted itself, revealing a small smile about the situation but it disappeared quickly again. back to the emotionless, angered expression and the furrowed eyebrows which created long wrinkles on the forehead of the attractive male. 

“good, you arrived early enough to help me release this undeniable anger.” he muttered, crashing his lips on her eagerly.

Don’t think of it as a Germany v Spain match, Given the fact that Spain NT has majority Barça players, think of it as a Bayern v Barcelona match. It’s more optimistic if you look at it that way.
