A librarian more used to reading stories than living in them, Nathan would be an unlikely candidate for hero in any book. But even discounting the power of his voice, Nathan is a formidable foe. ((So...I think I'm ready to explain what happened. I just haven't been wanting to because it doesn't feel real. I keep expecting to see him around the corner, or hear his breathing, or even just forgetting that he's not here anymore.

We had to put Teddy to sleep today. I found out last night, but I've known it was coming for a few weeks. I didn't expect it to hurt this much, or to be so upset, but I'm actually more distraught than my mom is. I went with him, held him in the car, fed him as much cheese as he wanted last night. Mom held him while he passed.

I don't want to talk about it or be asked how I'm doing, I just. I'm really not okay at all. I don't remember ever feeling this sad in my life and I keep having to drink bottled water because I've been crying my eyes out and I'm halfway to being a desiccated sea sponge. I'll be okay, but not for a long time. If I hiatus or go low activity, it's nothing y'all did. I'm just hurting a lot right now. I love you guys so much and I'm sorry I'm being such a big baby.))

I don't know Saori Kido enough but from my knowledge, there is an interesting difference between Saori Kido and Sasha.

Sasha is Athena who acts more human than goddess.

Saori is Athena who acts more goddess than human.

Let me explain. Throughout the Lost Canvas manga, Sasha talks a lot about how amazing humans are but also how much she loves being a human and the experience of being human. She loves her humanity despite her sufferings and the flaws of being human. Even when she lost her cosmos and divinity as Athena, she was still able to wear the Athena cloth (a cloth specifically for divinity) and stood up against Pandora. Despite the flaws, sins, and suffering of humanity, humans are still capable of strength, hope, and love.

In Saint Seiya, Saori talks about how amazing humans are but that is it. I don't remember or think there was a time that she ever talk about her experience being a human or her humanity. I could be completely wrong about this.

I also think this is also how they were raised and lived differently. Sasha was a poor orphan. Her experience is more similar to the humans in the 18th century. Most of the saints are also like her, orphans living in proverty. When you think of humans, you think of the suffering and sins we go through.

Saori was raised as rich, privileged and spoiled. She was cruel when she was younger. There is nothing wrong with being raised rich and privileged but her lifestyle is more similar to a deity lifestyle. Gods are generally rich, privileged and ignorant to the people's sufferings and the Saint Seiya deities are cruel to humanity. Saori is still a good goddess in her own way as she understood her own flaws and changed herself to be a better goddess. Unlike the other Saint Seiya deities who did not grow to understand humanity, Saori got to know more about her saints and became better.

Due to how Saori was raised, she was much quicker to accept her identity and duty as Athena while Sasha took a lot longer because of how different her old life is compared to her new one.

This is just from my understanding of Sasha and Saori. I could be wrong since I do not know Saori as well as I do with Sasha but what are your thoughts?

Currently Watching: Newer Futurama seasons- we didn't watch them when they came out, so we're catching up now. Love a good Futurama.

Last Movie: My Neighbor Totoro - we're on a working vacation in a remote mountain town in NC, and have been playing Ghibli movies in the evening when we're in for the night because they're so fitting thematically.

Current Obsessions: Kind of floating in the 'old hyperfixation petered out and new one hasn't taken hold yet' gray zone at the moment. Got a lot of life stress that keeps overtaking anything fun. When I get a break, I am excited for my upcoming arcadion scheming though :)

Hey everyone. I normally don’t make posts like this and rather not do them often but just thought you know.

Yes, I was impacted by Hurricane Milton. As of right now we are still in the dark and power hasn’t been fully yet restored to our neighborhood, nor do we have running water for right now. Even at night it is still very hot so it’s hard to fall asleep or even get comfortable.

Am I safe? Yes. Me and my family are doing okay, just fairing out while we figure out the situation. We have plenty of food and bottled water and other drinks to keep ourselves nourished while we deal with this.

There won’t be any posts for a few days until this all improves, I know guys it’s very sad.

I had a huge post discussing the Hundred Years War timeline planned and in the making, but hurricane preparations and the power outage have hindered my time from being able to work on it more.

I would like to thank you all for your continued support. In the mean time if I may? I could share maybe some headcanons from time to time until the situation improves.

Meet the muse;

their voice:

Shiloh's voice is very stable. It's a bit soft, but he has a rumbley undertone to it. Very warm and welcoming sort of cadence. Has a lisp he never truly grew out of and never paid it enough mind to it train it away. It is thankfully not a hard s sound so it can go unnoticed.

their smile:

Shows all his teeth. It's a bit awkward but it's endearing. Does not have very prominent canines but you'll see them. A habit he hasn't broken is using his mouth to communicate. Grimacing/frowning or twisting his mouth to get a sentiment across without words.

their greatest achievement:

Convincing his father to let him step out of the limelight. In every verse he finds a way to slip out of his 'first born' duties. Instead of being the throne's heir he helps assist K'in in that regard, instead of being the face of the modelling business he helps in hiring designers and such and instead of being connected to the mafia he's left K'in to be sucked into it in favour of a quiet life. He's quite proud of taking care of himself.

their shortcomings:

He can't function with too many eyes on him. He can work a crowd if he has to but his discomfort is prevalent and he is awkward if it lasts too long.

how they deal with grief:

He is very open about his emotions actually. He will cry and he'll walk around with the red and puffy eyes if he has to. There's no shame in feeling the extent of your sorrow to him. The less you keep it in the less likely it is to fester.

how they like to dress:

what they like to eat:

He really likes seafood. Flour based things as well. Seafood and pasta is always good for him, with a fresh salad of some kind as well.

their family life:

He and his father have their tension but it doesn't affect how he moves around a room if he's in it. He's a happy, non-overbearing mommy's boy and a loving older brother (if he says so himself)

their romantic life:

He's only had a few partners in his past but none sticked but they all ended relatively amicably. He's friends with a few of them still.

an embarrassing memory:

Got caught in his mother's wardrobe as a teen wearing her night gown and head covering by a few knights patrolling the wing. They never made fun of him, wouldn't dare, but their faces haunt him at times.

He flinches. Sighs a breath through his nose and tries again after blowing. It's not his food's fault that he was too eager

(Idk I was just thinking of how Bloody calls him Ves/Vessie [which is so cute djskddkj-] and if there could be any other nicknames. Then I thought of that one. And I didn't like it, [no offense to anyone-] so uh- yeah.)

//Oh yeah no, he hates it. Moon tried to call him that once and he about bit his head off over it. So of course Moon calls him that now when he wants to annoy him.

Sun would like to wear a dress! Not because he identifies any certain way, he just likes how flowy they are.

Moon likes his usual attire well enough (if it ain't broke). At the same time, he'd like to be able to wear something with more pockets so he can hold more tools on him. If only he could get something like a utility belt... Lunar keeps trying to get him to try on a onesie, or at least some fuzzy pajamas. Seriously, he doesn't need anything like that.

Lunar wears whatever he likes! Sometimes he'll throw on a SuperStar Daycare shirt when he's helping with the daycare, other times he may want to wear cuddly pajamas when he's regressed/just wants to be comfortable. Still other times he likes to wear dresses just to feel pretty! (Or if dress-up calls for it. A princess has to look the part, of course!)

Harvest wishes he could wear something more...loose? A sweatshirt would be nice. Something baggy and comfortable, non-constricting.

Bloody doesn't really have any problem with the clothes he usually wears. But every so often they want to wear a dress for the rare times they feel genderneutral. Besides, dresses offer more movement for when he's trying to run after prey. But make sure it's red! It has to be red! ....Pink will do, if not.

Solar likes his overalls (layered over a Superstar Daycare shirt) and toolbelt. Don't. Touch. His. Toolbelt. Otherwise he'd like to wear a onesie every so often. Just make sure it isn't that fleecy material. Anything but that.

Kill Code hasn't really considered other options. You mean he could wear other things? Well...perhaps something warm. He gets cold rather easily. Or some fuzzy socks. He always heard those were warm and soft on feet. If only he could find a pair big enough for him...

Poppy loves anything bright and fun. Pastels? Yes. Rainbows? Yes. Oh, but they need to be careful not to wear anything too bright, they don't want to overstimulate any of the little ones with sensory processing issues. They also like jewelry and would wear it more often if they could. They don't want any of the little ones to accidentally find a loose bit of jewelry and choke!

Midnight doesn't care, why are you even asking?! God, he hates those flannel shirts and wool sweaters. Don't think that he likes them! He absolutely hates them! Why do you think he likes them? He just said he doesn't! Stop asking-

Eclipse I can't say anything about without giving away spoilers :) So for now, I'll just say loose-fitting clothing, soft things, just nothing too constricting.

I just want to talk about Sasha's and Scorpio Kardia's relationship. I love that Kardia is the only gold saint to treat Sasha so casually like a younger sister. The other saints see that as disrespectful to Athena while Sasha enjoys it because he is one of the few saints who treat her like a human, like a friend, like Sasha.

It is even more interesting that Kardia is also one of the few saints who did not became a saint because of loyalty. In the Lost Canvas manga, he mocked Rhadamanthys for his loyalty to Hades and even told Rhadamanthys that he doesn't care for Athena's ideals and he is not loyal to Athena which angers Rhadmanthys. He is motivated by the idea of fighting strong enemies and living and enjoying his life to the fullest with no regrets.

But that doesn't mean he doesn't care about Sasha. He cares for her a lot. In Regulus and Yato special chapter, he was glad that Regulus and Yato was able to defeat Anunnakis because if they didn't, he would have jump in and beat the Anunnakis for insulting Sasha. He was pissed off that the enemy was insulting Athena.

It is due to Kardia's personality and his "lack of loyalty" to Athena that allows him to treat Sasha how she wants to be treated. While most saints see her as Athena, Kardia sees her as Sasha. If anything, Kardia is loyal to Sasha because she is his friend not because it is his duty or that she is his goddess.

It was also because of Kardia, Sasha was able to fully accept her duty and identify as Athena and move forward with no fear and doubts.

I also find it funny when Kardia kidnapped Sasha by accident, Aquarius Degel and Sagittarius Sisyphus was extremely worried and probably panicking. But Pope Sage was the only one who was chilled about the whole situation. He is like don't worry, Sasha will be okay, this will be good experience for her. I can already imagine Degel would be like Kardia is my best friend, you don't know him as well as I do, he is an idiot, I do not think Athena will be okay. And then Sasha comes back better and the Pope would be like told you so.
