I have a friend who has recently become a mother. In the 21st century, when you are about to become a parent you are faced with a big decision. Do I join the mummy club on Facebook? The mummy club mummies are the ones that post status after status asking questions, posting pics or are constantly boasting about just how good their baby is. It's a hard decision. Do you gain a whole bunch of mummy friends that are dedicated Facebook users and love being able to put their 2 cents in on every single post. Or do you decide to totally piss of the friends who don't really care what the texture of your babies poo is at the moment? I have girlfriends who have vowed to never be a part of the mummy club and others who are loyal and devoted members. I personally can't stand the mummy club. It kind of makes me start to not like their babies too. And thats totally unfair because it's not the babies fault that their mummy is so obsessed with plastering their child's private life all over Facebook. But it's also annoying how they get soooooooo much attention from what I consider a stupid annoying post. Not being a parent, I can't experience the feeling of all the mummies standing together and coming to each other's rescue, posting their advice and mummy experiences to help other fellow mummies. So instead I've started an experiment. I'm doing it on behalf of all the dog owners and lovers.This is my first status: "Attention dog owners, I've been taking poopy bags on our walks but sometimes Hercules poo is just too runny to pick up. Is there any other way I can scoop it up? And where do I put it? Help please!" If I love the attention and response I receive on Facebook I will never diss the mummy club again! Tulls x
