Vinod Kambli, wife Andrea accuse Bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari's father of indecent act at Mumbai mall - Former India cricketer Vinod Kambli and his wife Andrea have accused famous Bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari’s father of ‘inappropriately touching’ Andrea at a mall in Mumbai’s Malad area. The incident reportedly took place on Sunday. According to the Kamblis, the couple was at Inorbit Mall’s Game Zone, when an old man ‘deliberately brushed his hand against Andrea.’ ‘An old man deliberately brushed his hand against her (Andrea) and when she caught him in the act, he pushed her away. Minutes later, two men, who we assume were the man’s sons, tried to attack my wife,’ Kambli was quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror. However, the Tiwaris have a completely different version of the incident. According to Ankit Tiwari’s brother Ankur, Andrea took off her sandal and threatened to thrash his father. Ankur Tiwari also alleges that Andrea punched his father and shouted at him. He says that his fatheris stunned by the incident and can’t believe someone can accuse him of such an act. ‘I asked him to speak to me politely, but he kept pushing me. His wife pushed me too. When I tried calling up the police, he snatched my phone,’ Mumbai Mirror quoted Tiwari as saying. After the ruckus, Kambli took to Twitter asking Mumbai Police to do something about it. ‘@MumbaiPolice Some miscreants tried to touch my wife inappropriately, When questioned, brought his sons n tried to come to blows. Sadly, Women safety on question once again, he said in his tweet. https://twitter.com/vinodkambli349/status/1013369081037193216 Meanwhile, the tiwaris went ahead and filed a police complaint against Kambli and his wife at the Bangur Police Station. Senior officer Vinay Bane confirmed about the complaint. The former cricketer is best known for some memorable innings for Indian cricket team in 1990s. His childhood friendship with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is also well-known. They played for the same school and went on represent their state and their country. Then their careers different paths. While Sachin went on to become the biggest icon of Indian cricket, Kambli struggled with his personal demons.
