ㅤDays of pure management, of switching between sitting at a desk to go through a pile of papers and visiting every corner of the studio to ensure matters and arrangements were developing as they should, tended to be a mixed bag of feelings. Surely, and by much and far, such days could not compare to the unmatched thrill that was to stand atop a stage, but there was no arguing how necessary they were. Concerts and tours did not organize themselves, after all.

ㅤAnd it wasn't like Itachi minded supervising said management and organization, either - in fact, being the obsessive methodical person he was, it was a talent of his and something that ever came to him very naturally. The issue at present being, therefore, a different one. Namely, how, because of a most ill-timed flare-up of his chronic, autoimmune illness, he'd been forced to stay away from work for over a week - which culminated in a new stage technician being hired without his knowledge nor approval. Not to say he did not trust his band mates to make good decisions but, again... for someone with a borderline pathological need for control, this was the kind of thing that really threw him off.

Well, it was what it was.

ㅤWhining wouldn't get him anywhere and, now that he was [literally] back to business, the best option would be to deal with it like the grown-up he was. Accept whatever had been done and fix whatever needed fixing; move on. Thankfully, it should be resolved soon anyway, given how said new stage technician was about to show up for the first meeting. With trusty coffee mug in hand and taking the time to check on emails and catch up with some other smaller matters, the bassist breezed through the wait time, till a knock came to the office's door - answered with a prompt, casual come in.

ㅤWhat was equally prompt, then, and certainly not casual at all, was his reaction to the person who'd just walked in. To the point where, to make sure he was seeing right, he even pulled his glasses out of the way. Which... admittedly, was a very dumb thing to do, because when was the last time that someone with terrible eyesight was able to see better by removing their glasses? That aside, and after a few more seconds of incredibly awkward silence, Itachi eventually remembered how to speak again; even if the eloquence of the words coming out was questionable, at best.

After a rather odd meeting in which she'd stumbled upon Hunter in the middle of a mission, she makes a point to extend a invitation to the Summer Ball to the Grimwalker. Granted, she was quiet busy running around giving out invitation to a number of people, so she simply slips it under the door of his abode, knocks a couple of times, and vanishes through a portal of her own making

Hunter was talking to Luz about a video game when they heard someone knock on the door.

"I'm going to open"

Hunter gets up from the couch and goes to the door.

"A paper, what does it say?"

Hunter picks up the paper from the floor and reads it.

"Hey Luz I was invited to a summer ball!!"

Hunter says excitedly.

OKAY SO I REWATCHED THE FIRST SPIDER-VERSE MOVIE EARLIER TODAY IN PREPARATION FOR THE SECOND MOVIE COMING OUT NEXT WEEK AND REALIZED SOMETHING.

I literally just realized that another reason why this movie resonates with me, personally, as someone who writes/RPs as AU versions of canon characters who, more often than not, tend to stray very far from canon is because the movie really said ‘There can be multiple universes with different, sometimes even very different, versions of the same character, or characters similar to them, and that’s good and fine, actually. There’s no one version, even the ‘original’ or ‘main’ one you’re used to that’s inherently better than all the others, and they’re all unique and valid in their own way.’

And the fact that the ‘main’ universe the movie is set in is very obviously a different universe from the ‘real’/original one from the original Marvel/Spider-Man comics definitely helps.

When i want threads set in the Spectacular book timeline and the upcoming spring festival that will happen in the Magnificent North but i can’t ask for it because 1) not much people write Caraval/Ouabh muses and they aren’t active and 2) idk know if people have read the new book and the extra epilogues to know what i am talking about 🥲

ㅤThe lighting up of the screen almost went unnoticed, what with the phone being half-lost among the pile of books about human histophysiology and the mini-mountain of notes scribbled in neat handwriting. Never mind computers and laptops, Itachi always preferred to study the old-school way.

ㅤReaching for it, then, he was in the middle of rubbing at his tired eyes behind the lenses of the glasses when the name on display immediately made him smile - and immediately made him frown out of concern, a split second later. One, because it wouldn't take a genius to see his roommate, and all the more recent boyfriend, seemed to be quite far from sober and, two, and far more worrying, also apparently was on his own.
