Whenever he sees you doing it, Giyuu will gently take your hands in his and pull them away from your mouth. He tells you all the time that it’s bad for your health, but he never yells about it. He’s mostly the one who keeps bandages on hand for just in case.

Gyomei

He doesn’t see you doing, but rather feels it. He kind of has a sixth sense when it comes to you; he scolds you for not taking better care of yourself, but he knows you’re not going to give it up anytime soon. When it gets rough, he’ll wrap your fingers so whenever you subconsciously bite your nails, you’re biting cloth instead.

Kyojuro

One word: screeches. He hates seeing his beloved hurt in any shape or form; as soon as you do the familiar move of lifting your fingers to your mouth, he practically leaps to your rescue and forces you to take his hands instead. A true knight in shining armor!

Mitsuri

Is genuinely confused why you do it? Like, nails aren’t food? Either way, she lowkey freaks out whenever you start bleeding and does this thing where she squirms in place. Afterwards, she’ll wrap your fingers up and kiss your booboos 🥺 

Muichiro 

Calls you out for being gross. He knows it’s a habit and all that fun stuff, but still. As soon as your fingers start bleeding, he gives you this pointed look and merely sighs. He’ll help take care of you and put a medicinal salve on, but be prepared for lots of grumbling and I told you so’s.

Obanai

This boy carries bandages on him constantly. At first, it was for him, but when the two of you got together, he started carrying them for you. He’s another one to call you out on your habit and scold you for it. Whenever he sees you doing it, he smacks away your hands; sometimes, if you’re lucky enough, he’ll give you a treat to chew on instead.

Sanemi

Bro what are you doing???? Angry boy yells at you for making yourself bleed like that. Probably calls you dumb and calls your habit a fucking waste of time, but then again, he’s going to sit there and carefully wrap each and every one of your fingers (he also has a worried expression but don’t point that out).

Shinobu

Shinobu would be gentle with her scoldings and go into detail about why chewing your nails off is a bad idea. She also prepares a special salve for you to apply to your fingers - it’s to help heal the skin, but it also tastes bad so you don’t stick them in your mouth. If she sees you without proper bandages or at least the salve on, she gets all up in your business with a scary smile.

Tengen

That’s not flamboyant at all! Actually, it’s really gross! Being the pretty boy that he is, the idea of chewing fingernails is appalling to him. He’ll try different methods to get you to drop the habit. However, if he sees you doing it, he makes a show of covering his eyes and going EW! like an ass.
