She’d only been at the party a few minutes when Ryan decided she needed to step outside for some air. She attempted to sit on the front steps, only for her costume to get in the way, causing her to nearly fall over. “Dang it,” she muttered, eventually settling for standing. She let out a heavy sigh, taking a sip of her drink when she saw movement out of the corner of her eye, realizing she wasn’t alone. “Oh crap,” Ryan placed a hand over her chest. “You scared me.”

Jack had looked around the Delta Psi house for Ivy the minute he’d gotten back, eventually determining she hadn’t arrived yet. While he waited, he went to his room to change into his costume. He let out a heavy sigh as he looked at himself in the mirror, cursing himself for not keeping tighter reign over Grant’s choice but hoping Ivy would find some entertainment in it. At the very least, he quickly spotted his girlfriend when he returned to the main floor. “Hey you,” he grinned, pulling her into him and kissing her cheek. “Miss me?”

Adrian was standing in line for the haunted house, feeling both excited and nervous for it. However, his nerves started to overtake his excitement when he saw the last group pretty much run out of the house. he couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow and turn to the person next to him. “Is not gonna be that freaky right? Noah had made his way out into the backyard so that he could smoke a joint, only to see that Hannah was already there. “Hey Callaghan, cute costume”, Noah complimented her. The two hadn’t really spoken since he had extended the metaphorical olive branch so he wasn’t exactly sure if they were on good terms at the moment. Still, he was hoping that the Halloween spirit -- and the copious amounts of free alcohol available inside -- had potentially put her in a good mood. “I was bummed to hear that you weren’t entering the costume contest but let me guess... you didn’t think it would be fair for everyone else if you entered because you’d knock them out of the water”, he teased.

Niko had secretly been quite happy to find out that he and Grant had been paired up to run the Dunk Tank together. After all, the last time that they had hung out had resulted in a pretty memorable hook-up, so Niko was hoping that he’d be able to secure a repeat performance. The night was still young when they both arrived at the stall so there weren’t a ton of customers around, meaning that Niko felt comfortable in quietly flirting with the other man. “Cute outfit. AJ hadn’t really had a chance to catch up with Madison at the carnival itself so when she saw the woman at the after party, she grabbed them both a cup of punch before making her way over to Madison. “Here, I got you this”, AJ said with a smile, giving Madison the second cup that she was holding. “Want to come outside and get some air?” @madisonfynnmu​

Alix gave Dalton an obvious once over as he approached the male, cracking a smile as stepped within earshot. “What are you supposed to be, a pretty boy gone rouge?” It felt like a perfectly valid guess, one vacant of judgment but filled with pure amusement. He wasn’t allowed to be the one to judge other’s costumes, even if they lacked any sort of true effort — not that Dalton’s was lacking effort, that was more of a jab at himself than anything. After all, he was standing there with a pair of dollar store devil horns atop his head with a white button up, red tie, and black pants to complete the ensemble of his supposed ‘devil’ costume. After finishing her “shift” at the stall she had volunteered to help man, Arden had some time to herself to fully enjoy the carnival. Halloween had always been one of her favourite times of year so now that she had removed the face mask part of her costume, there was nothing to conceal the huge grin on her face. The smile didn’t falter when she came across Alix, who was also seemingly alone. “Hey stranger, I was starting to think that you were avoiding me”, Arden joked, referencing the fact that they hadn’t really seen each other since she had gone to the gala event with him. @alix-wayne​

Nate was having a great night. It was the first Halloween carnival that he had ever been to so rather than heading straight to the after party after finishing at the hay ride, he found himself walking around alone to check out what else was there. He smiled when he came across Dallas, especially when it seemed like Dallas was doing the same thing as him. “Hey, I wasn’t expecting to see you out here by yourself. Ryan had only just arrived at the party. She pushed through the crowd, most of which was already heavily intoxicated, to get herself a Diet Coke. She poured her drink, holding it close to herself as she glanced around for someone she knew that she could talk to. That was when she spotted Grant struggling at the drink table. Ryan looked to see but, no one appeared to notice or care. With a little sigh, she hurried over to him, catching the bottle he was attempting to pour from just before he’d dropped it. “Here, let me help,” she said gently, pouring a small amount of the alcohol into his cup. Something told her he’d already had plenty. “Did you want something else in there?”

Having arrived late, Jackson was one of the more sober ones, especially since he wasn’t drinking at all. That was how he’d noticed that something seemed off with his friend. He thought it was best not to press, until he saw Dallas head outside. Jack gave him a moment before following him out. “Hey,” Jack put an arm around him. “Are you alright?”

ollie was rushing back to the pumpkin painting booth, she was in dire need of s snack break so she made the (most likely awful) decision to leave adrian to attend to the stall, and if she was lucky she could walk back fast enough for him to not wreak too much havoc. her head was buried deep in her phone, exchanging stupid photos with her brother when she felt her body collide into someone else. “oh god—i’m so sorry...i should probably start paying more attenio–” her words got cut off when she finally looked up in all her flustered glory to see exactly who she had bumped into. “alix”  she spoke softly, a blush tinting her cheeks as she pushed a bit of her hair behind her ears. “i was looking at you earlier—i mean...not that i was staring i was just—” dammit, she thought, shaking her head in embarrassment. “what i’m trying to say is that you look really good, even with a costume that you so obviously put together at the last minute” she laughed, motioning up to his very shitty light up devil horns.
