Hi! My name is Brooke Selvaggio and I am from Buffalo, New York. I am an Adolescent Education major with a concentration in English. I just finished student teaching in the fall and am glad to have a more relaxed year for my last semester of undergrad studies! I like to read, exercise, and spend time with family and friends in my free time. I have four brothers and no sisters! all the songs are from the album two player game by joe iconis and george salazar (it's all musical theatre songs he's worked on from different projects. the whole album is great though i do recommend!)

anywho, i think both "broadway, here i come" and "the answer" are very rachel-coded. "the answer" especially for marrow!rachel bc she's running around with max's notebook and trying to figure out what's going on from more of an outsider's perspective than chloe has. "broadway, here i come" is just uh ooh ouch sad (he originally wrote it for the tv show smash so there's a lot of jeremy jordan singing it, if you like him).

"lisa" is a song i honestly feel like speaks to any of the crew (including kate and victoria tbh). very comparative in a similar way to how you write chloe and rachel putting the other on a pedestal at times, not seeing each other's bad traits but being so viscerally aware of their own. same with "norman" but i think that's maybe particularly rachel x victoria coded 👀👀

"the goodbye song" is also just very oh ouch considering the plot of lis and how they parallel the themes in the song. be it rachel to chloe, or chloe to max, or even all the versions of herself that Max leaves behind to her current self (that is slipping through her fingers faster and faster so i think that makes it haunting.)

lastly i think "song of the brown buffalo" also fits the vibe of ambermarsh, something very cutting but also very passionate and heightened in a way that their relationship is. (plus it isn't sad! yay! just pure groovy ass vibes and good mt lyrics.)

WEST YELLOWSTONE, MT (9/23/24)

Today was our last day here and it was another beautiful day with a high in the low 60's. There seemed to be fewer people since it was a Monday which was nice. We found a few lesser geysers and some cool buffalo. Still, no herds but that was okay. Tomorrow, we head home.

So long, Montana!

After 4 years of living in Montana, we were finally on our way to newer horizons. Trevor and I took a 5 day drive from Great Falls, MT to our family in Tennessee.

Day 1: Great Falls, MT to Bismarck, ND

We said our sad goodbyes to our friends and packed our car with what we could to head east. Luckily, my mom flew the kids back home with her earlier that week so we could move out of the house. It was probably the smartest thing we did. Moving is not for the weary and our kids would have been SO weary.

You can probably understand how light we felt finally getting into our car and leaving the base one last time. We made sure to stop by the little museum right before the gate to snap a picture.

This was probably our most jam packed day on our trip.

We made a pit stop about 3 hours from Bismarck, called Glendive, MT where we visited the ole Glendisaurus and ate lunch at a cute little place called Bloom Coffeehouse & Eatery to grab some sandwiches before continuing our journey.

Before getting to Bismarck, we decided to go an hour out of the way to visit Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It was HOT, but we rolled the windows down and took in the sights. We spotted one single buffalo and 1 million ground squirrels—locally called “Whistle Pigs.” They infested the neighborhood we lived in and I can’t stand them so they did not get a picture. But the views were fantastic!

We hopped back in the car, arrived at our hotel in Bismarck to drop the cats and luggage off before Trevor and I headed out to see a farmer’s league baseball team, the Bismarck Larks. It was so fun! We love baseball games and we devoted a lot of our time to see a game in each city we could—as you will see! And they won!
