Before I get swept up in the hype of #pageantland I wanted to take a minute to thank anyone who has supported me in any way throughout my journey. Later on today I hit the road with Mya-Angelique Henry & Lorna Ive to travel up to Leicester to compete for my dream title of Ms Great Britain. My first and most important mention goes to my Sponsors; @ridge_radio Thank you for always supporting me, for giving me the amazing opportunity to be the face of your brand for the last few years but most importantly, believing in me. I honestly cannot thank you guys enough for everything. I would not have been able to re-compete without you beside me. So please believe I will be eternally grateful. When @zaranmorgan & I joined @aprilbanbury in the top 3 of Ms Great Britain last year we made history in more ways than one. I am so excited to hit the stage again. This last 18 months has been incredibly difficult for each of us. The global pandemic tried to throw many spanners in the works but we are strong and powerful and even though it is very much not over yet we will overcome it and come out fighting. COVID-19 almost stole my light. It has taken far too much from me. My mother, almost my father, my job, my health but it will not steal my dreams. Instead of letting my inner demons beat me down I have turned my loss, grief and fear into power, achievement and strength. COVID-19 you can knock me down 9 times and I promise you, I will get up 10! In the face of every hurdle I have thrived and I have remained resilient as my Mama would have wanted me to. I am ready. I couldn't be more ready. I want this and I will not give up until I succeed. Dream 💭 Believe 🤞🏾 Achieve 👑 My Mother always told me to never give up on something if you truly want it but she also taught me that nothing you want in life is ever handed to you on a plate. You have to graft for the things that mean the most to you. I am grateful for the opportunity to return to the @missgb_official stage again in just 6 weeks time. Placing 2nd Runner Up last year lit a 🔥 in me. If I thought I wanted it back then...then heaven knows how much I want it now. This year, we are going in differently; I am ready. I am capable and I know that I am on the right path.
