MORE Asamad Van Ghoul headcanons

• pronouns: he/him and they/them

• he never knew his parents, and never cared to go look for them. if you ask him about them, he’ll either start changing the subject or just say “i don’t know”

• he owns a bunch of hounds! (i was talking about this with @msdoodlesposts earlier) hundreds of them at least, and they only listen to him (for the most part, anyway)

• his zodiac sign is Scorpio

• usually stands outside Castle Van Ghoul to scare intruders away, and can tell if someone’s an intruder or not, but not always though. sometimes he messes up, and he apologizes when he does

• isn’t right most of the time, but when he’s right, he’s RIGHT. and he gets credit for that

• learned English from Vincent, and a few others languages as well

• doesn’t need to eat, but will eat if it’s something that Vincent cooked. (he enjoys Vincent’s cooking!)

• despite being a ghost, he doesn’t usually go in the Van Ghoul cemetery a lot, since he doesn’t know most of the people buried there. though, he visits his wife’s and son’s graves when he does go there.

• used to be (fake) friends with the other 12 ghosts. has been staying away from them since after he was freed by Shaggy and Scooby

• created Castle Van Ghoul himself, actually. is still proud of it to this day.

• doesn’t have social media. if he did though, he’d only follow a few people, and have many people blocked

• he chose the name Van Ghoul to be the family name since he was close with a lot of ghouls in life, and knew that his family would be at the forefront of the warlock community, since they would be descending from the world’s most powerful warlock

i have this Asamad raises Vincent AU in my head that i talked about with @msdoodlesposts a few times but idk if i’ll ever make a fic about it. i guess if i do it’ll have to be sometime after i finish my series and after i write an AU oneshot based on that 13 Ghosts related dream i had back in July. it’s been in my head for at least 1-3 years now.

a little bit about the AU:

• obviously in the AU, Asamad has to have his redemption thing going on after being released from the chest (or at least been a good ghost this whole time) because i wouldn’t have him raising Vincent to be evil/a monster

• Vincent’s parents die in an accident when he’s a baby and Asamad finds him shortly after that happens and then another ghost appears, (nameless and faceless) the ghost tells him what happened, tells him that Vincent is the last of his bloodline, and that he must raise him. Asamad agrees to do so.

• Vincent and Mortifer meet as teens in school so that’s how they know each other

• the gang does exist in this AU and they do meet Vincent and become family to him but later on, like centuries after Vincent grows up and Asamad moved on to the afterlife

• sometimes Vincent has nightmares about the accident and Asamad helps him with that when it happens

Dose moon get a proper introduction to monty?

Moon definitely does get properly introduced. I plan on writing about it soon, just in the middle of doing more lore dives for SB than full writing.

Moon and Monty get along pretty well tho. Like both are more aggressive, Moon in a more passive way. It's like they pick at each other to flirt or Moon acts like their above mushy stuff is "too serious" until Monty winks at them and then they are just as gushy as Sun.
