I got a little carried away trying to bike out my stress today and ended up halfway to Keelung before I decided to call it quits when my knee hurt and I was near a train station- the actual intercity commuter train, not the MRT, which I had to buy a paper ticket for because something is wrong with my Easycard again. By coincidence I had stellar timing and the train was about to arrive, so I made a run for it instead of trying to resolve the issue- although I did confirm with the conductor as to where it was going before jumping on, a lesson learned from experience.
I discovered that while it was unpleasantly easy to just ruminate in mental circles while following the familiar route to the end of the Brown + Blue Lines, once I entered parts unknown (I thought I was almost done with the riverside cycling tracks but thankfully I was wrong) my thoughts shifted entirely to "Where am I going?", "Where the heck am I now?" and "How do I get home?" This was surprisingly refreshing, now I have some hope that a break from routine when I stop taking class may be more envirgorating than not.
#my headaches are sneaking back and I'm not sure why#it feels like we just had CNY break i shouldn't be burnt out again already right?#maybe it's cause the school gave up on trying to get my class to go down two levels#and just added the lower level class to ours instead#it's so fucking slow now#at least our teacher is very exuberant

The Future of Transportation in Kuala Lumpur: Trends and Innovations
Kuala Lumpur, a bustling metropolis known for its rich culture and dynamic economy, is at the forefront of evolving transportation solutions. As the demand for efficient and sustainable travel options grows, the future of transportation in Kuala Lumpur is being shaped by innovative trends and technologies that promise to enhance the travel experience for both residents and visitors. One such solution is car rental Kuala Lumpur with driver, offering a convenient and personalized way to navigate the city’s busy streets.
One of the most significant trends in transportation is the increasing emphasis on sustainability. With global awareness regarding environmental issues, Kuala Lumpur is striving to reduce its carbon footprint. This shift is prompting local authorities and private transportation services to explore eco-friendly options, such as electric vehicles (EVs). Companies like Brendan Transportation are already integrating hybrid and electric vehicles into their fleets, promoting cleaner travel solutions that contribute to the city’s sustainability goals.
Another trend that is reshaping transportation in Kuala Lumpur is the rise of smart mobility solutions. Advanced technologies, such as mobile applications and real-time data analytics, are revolutionizing how transportation services are managed and utilized. These innovations facilitate seamless booking and tracking of vehicles, enabling travelers to plan their journeys more efficiently. With Brendan Transportation’s commitment to integrating technology, customers can expect user-friendly booking platforms and real-time updates, ensuring a smooth travel experience.
Public transport systems are also undergoing significant improvements. The Malaysian government is investing heavily in upgrading the existing public transportation infrastructure, including the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) systems. Enhancing these services aims to provide residents and visitors with more reliable and convenient options, reducing traffic congestion in the city. With an efficient public transport network, travelers can navigate Kuala Lumpur with ease, making it an appealing choice for those who prefer to avoid the hassle of driving.
Moreover, the concept of multimodal transportation is gaining traction. This approach encourages the use of various transportation modes—such as buses, trains, and private transport services—to create a comprehensive travel experience. By combining different modes of transport, travelers can optimize their journeys and reduce travel times significantly. Private transportation services, like Brendan Transportation, play a crucial role in this ecosystem by providing flexible options for last-mile connectivity.
As Kuala Lumpur continues to grow and evolve, embracing new trends and innovations in transportation will be essential. The future of transportation in this vibrant city is bright, with a focus on sustainability, smart technology, and improved public transport infrastructure. For travelers looking to explore Kuala Lumpur, services like Brendan Transportation will ensure that you stay ahead of the curve, making your journey more efficient and enjoyable.

Efficient and Reliable: Exploring Singapore's Bus Transport Service
A Network That Connects
Singapore's bus transport network is vast and meticulously planned, ensuring that every corner of the island is accessible. Managed primarily by two major operators, SBS Transit and SMRT Buses, the system covers over 300 routes that link residential areas, commercial hubs, and recreational spots. This extensive network is designed to complement the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system, providing first- and last-mile connectivity, thereby making the entire public transport ecosystem seamless and user-friendly.
Modern Fleet and Amenities
The fleet of buses in Singapore is one of the most modern in the world. Equipped with air-conditioning, the buses offer a comfortable ride in Singapore's tropical climate. Many buses also feature free Wi-Fi, USB charging ports, and digital displays that provide real-time information on upcoming stops and routes. These amenities cater to the needs of today's commuters, bus transport service singapore ensuring a pleasant and productive journey.
Moreover, Singapore is a pioneer in adopting environmentally friendly practices. A significant portion of the bus fleet is powered by clean energy, including hybrid and electric buses. This shift not only reduces the carbon footprint but also aligns with the nation's commitment to sustainability and green living.
Accessibility for All
Singapore's bus transport service is designed to be inclusive. All buses are wheelchair-accessible, with dedicated spaces for passengers with mobility aids. This commitment to accessibility ensures that everyone, regardless of physical ability, can use public transport with ease. Additionally, features like priority seats and audio announcements cater to the needs of elderly passengers and those with visual impairments.
Efficient Operations
Efficiency is a hallmark of Singapore's bus service. The buses adhere to strict schedules, with high-frequency services during peak hours to accommodate the rush of commuters. Bus arrival times are highly reliable, and the use of GPS and other tracking technologies allows commuters to check real-time bus locations through mobile apps.
The introduction of the Bus Contracting Model in 2016 further enhanced operational efficiency. Under this model, bus services are provided through a competitive tendering process, 24 hour maxicab service singapore which encourages operators to maintain high standards of service while keeping costs manageable. This approach ensures that commuters receive the best possible service at the most reasonable fares.
Affordable and Convenient
The fare system in Singapore is straightforward and affordable, designed to encourage the use of public transport. Fares are calculated based on the distance traveled, with integrated fare structures that allow seamless transfers between buses and the MRT. Various concession schemes are available for students, senior citizens, and low-income families, making public transport accessible to all segments of the population.
Payment is convenient with the widespread use of the EZ-Link card, a contactless smart card that can be easily topped up and used across all forms of public transport. Recently, contactless payment options using credit and debit cards have also been introduced, providing even greater convenience.
Commitment to Safety
Safety is a top priority in Singapore's bus transport service. All buses are equipped with surveillance cameras, and drivers undergo rigorous training to ensure safe driving practices. Additionally, public awareness campaigns and safety features such as designated bus lanes contribute to minimizing accidents and enhancing the overall safety of bus travel.

May
hello friends! sorry i am late because i had so much going on by the end of May/start of June including end of semester exams that i completely forgot to write a post in time (typical me lol) but worry not, May post is gonna be filled with so many stories!!!
so for this May i'd like to nickname it as Full of Friends May Mayhem because i felt so happy throughout the entire May as i spent lots of quality time with my best friends and experienced many exciting new things 🥺💙
first up, watching How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies หลานม่า with soon-to-be doctor, Chintia! it's been long since i saw her because we were both very busy, me with school and her with finishing med school national competency exams... we had lunch together and spent literal hours chatting about anything and life updates. then we watched หลานม่า to see Billkin and Tu in action - they were amazing actors! the film itself was great, it made me miss my grandma so much, but i'm familiar with grief that i only cried a bit at the ending. the scores are heavenly but i still can't find it anywhere online huhu
next is Ortho Ul's social charity and gathering at Bali! this will be my second time joining a department event but first time to have it in such big scale (every resident from every active year, all lecturers, staffs, and even alumni joined the trip!) and it was awesome!!! 3 days and 2 nights filled with fun, really! day one we had the social charity at a junior high school in Kuta and then a 4-hour bus ride to Menjangan (where our resort is located!) day two was for snorkeling session (that i bailed out because i was worried my thalassophobia would be triggered) and i spent time island hopping instead! day three was our journey back to Denpasar and then flight to Jakarta. our schedule was sooo packed and we lacked sleep but enjoying the time together was priceless experience. on day 2 we got to showcase our 'talent' and did a short musical as an introduction of us the new recruits 😂 i remember eleven of us still making time to rehearse for the musical between so many assignments and projects and other duties... as the gathering has pirate as the theme, i made sure to incorporate Petualangan Sherina soundtracks and also pirate themed film scores, i wrote the screenplay, and designed some of the choreos. and it all came together nicely with our lecturers praising our performance 🥺
third is Ortho Ul 2018-2019 graduates' farewell lunch! this one was so enjoyable as well, our recently graduated orthodontists seniors treated us lunch at Park Hyatt hotel, i tried and loved all the food 🤭 there were also game and photo sessions, i feel so welcomed into this huge family 🥺 honestly getting into postgrad feels like entering a whole new world, so many new people, new connections, unexpected but still pleasant surprises!
these days i find it extremely easy to find happiness wherever i go, in whatever i do, and with whoever i'm with... no matter how trivial things can always find its way to put a smile on my face 😂 getting consecutive green lights on the way to school, arriving on time at the MRT platform as the train came, finding cool shades under the trees, spending time with my classmates even though while being under so much pressure, finding new film scores albums with 10/10 tracks, the feel of the wind on my face every time i ride back home, days filled with laughter and tranquility and calmness, discovering my old passion for kdrama (you all NEED to watch Lovely Runner, and meet my daughter Kim Hyeyoon and my son Byun Wooseok the loveliest people ever), interacting with my international mutuals, my fav songs came on shuffle, trying good food at new places, coldplay new era is coming!!! life is full of wonder, alhamdulillah...
things i've never dared to dream are approaching, and i'm super excited of what's to come (lots!!!) the best is yet to come insyaAllah 🤩 i hope life is also as beautiful as it is to you, my friends. see you on the next post! 💙

The effectiveness of public transport provision in Indonesia.
As the 4th most populated country in the world, Indonesia’s traffic is definitely crammed most of the time, especially in Java Island where more than 100 million people inhabit the island only the size of Alabama. Public transportation such as trains, buses, and minibuses are provided by the government, and since the start of incumbent president Joko Widodo’s leadership, the government is able to enhance the public transportation facilities, especially with the provision of MRT in the capital city Jakarta. It has been one of the main focuses of the cabinet to develop comfortable public transport facilities that were left far behind from neighbouring countries. Despite all means done, it is still undeniable that the current public transportation is unable to provide the population the most comfortable alternative on getting to workplaces, heading out for a dinner, attending an appointment, and other habitual concerns. Nevertheless, it is also obvious that some aspects regarding the provision of public transport in Indonesia can be considered superior when compared with neighbouring countries.
Commuting by public transportation is really cheap, with buses called Transjakarta rides at only 3,000 IDR (0.15 GBP) and MRT rides up to 10,000 IDR (0.50 GBP). Specialised roads for bus rides, called “busway”, are also provided by the government to ease access and avoid traffic congestion. It is available in various cities such as Jakarta, Bogor, Solo, Jogjakarta, Bandung, Palembang, Semarang, Pekanbaru, Denpasar, Padang and Makassar. Train stations also have complete facilities to compliment passengers’ needs, although conservative train stations and the train itself are not equipped with proper standards. With MRT services available since 2019, it helps numerous people in travelling within the city, especially for those who do a lot of activities in Central and South Jakarta. In the case of travelling off the city, the government is also building a high speed train track from Jakarta to Bandung which will only take 50 minutes, which is only one-third of the time taken when travelling by car. In short, Indonesia’s government has established a more modern and accommodating public transport system, shown with the progress of the facilities and the increasing variety of public transportations.
In addition, using public transport also helps in protecting the environment by reducing pollution, as one vehicle can fit many passengers, while private vehicles such as motorcycles or cars would only fit a few people, contributing to the increase of air and noise pollution rate in an already polluted city. Apart from Transjakarta, the government also provides a free minibus in Jakarta called JAKLINGKO where passengers can ride for free. The establishment of JAKLINGKO provides job opportunities for drivers as they are employed by the government, which implies that it is a more formal, more future-supportive for low-classes, as well as creating a better-arranged system. The alternative employment is much better compared to the former minibus system where drivers receive money from passengers to be deposited and receive limited allowance instead.
However, despite some measures attempted by the government as well as a series of benefits of turning to public transport as an alternative, Indonesians still prefer using private vehicles such as motorcycles and cars to transport from one place to another, as they feel that using public transportation consumes more time, especially those who live in suburbs where there are really few stops or stations. During rush hour, buses and trains are also extremely packed with people and the risk of being pickpocketed is high. Although there is no specified data regarding how much crimes have happened within a year, a data was released by the Indonesian National Police that in 2018 there were nearly 2,000 theft cases that were being reported, whereas a large percentage of victims didn’t bother themselves to make a report to the police and place themselves in a further complicated situation. Apart from pickpocketing, another important type of crimes frequently happening in public transportation includes sexual harassment and assault. In 2019, The Safe Public Space Coalition, domestically called KRPA, released a survey result that 46.8% of the sample have experienced sexual harassment on public transport, on which 29.5% among them experienced it in angkot, a traditional minibus transport within the city that is not funded by the government, but is run and managed by private sectors. This serves as one of the main reasons individuals feel no security on taking public transport services and strive to purchase themselves motorcycles or cars, especially due to the fact that down payments for vehicles are affordable, supported by the cheap price of parking and fuel price, at only 2,000 IDR (0.10 GBP) for informal parking space and 10,000 IDR/litre (0.50 GBP) for subsidised fuel price.
Another possible problem on why public transport facilities in Indonesia are crucial to be developed further is the typical Indonesian reckless driving style. These customs are truly dangerous to all parties, especially innocent passengers who may have to be injured. A data released by the Traffic Corps Department of the Indonesian National Police (Korlantas Polri) states that only a week prior to the 2015 Eid-al Fitr which is the earlier two official holidays celebrated within Islam, there were as much as 249 accidents involving buses which facilitates the celebrating Muslims in returning to their hometown, and 148 accidents prior to the 2016 Eid-al Fitr. Not only that, The Head of The Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Region of the Indonesian National Police (Polda Metro Jaya) had released a statement by the end of 2021, showing the details of traffic accidents happening throughout 2021, which was around 7968 accidents, where 508 of the total involved Transjakarta. Such accidents may even take away innocent lives due to the huge size of buses. Drivers frequently use foolish excuses while they are actually taking those risks due to their lack of empathy and concern towards passengers’ safety, especially in some cases of informal buses formerly called Kopaja, in which two different bus drivers speeding up to reach some waiting passengers the fastest is a selfish and ignorant trait that should not be developed not only on public transport drivers but also throughout the society.
Eventually we came to a point that the public transportation in Indonesia has not been as effective as it is shown that there are still so many private vehicles such as motorcycles and cars wandering the roads of Indonesia, which is mostly caused by the affordable down payment and operational cost of private vehicles. The advantages discussed earlier are mostly the advantages of public transport in all countries, such as reducing pollution and protecting the environment and available MRT services which are rapid as shown by the name itself, while only very few aspects that positively distinct public transport in Indonesia, making it eminent. Therefore, the provision of public transport in Indonesia is not really effective in such a way that a large percentage of the society still prefer to commute with their own vehicles rather than alternating to public transport as a method of transportation, especially there so many Indonesians living in the suburbs where stops and stations for public transport are scarce.

Hi I'm watching the FP1 and the commentator said the MRT, the underground train system of SG, could interfere with the car, as they were speculating about what had happened to Perez, and so cars need to wrap their gearbox??? ( I can't remember which part) properly to prevent the interference . Could you explain cause SG race hasn't been back in 3 years so I've forgotten what this was all about. Thanks! :)
Hiya, so I can’t remember exactly why but this article mentions it. iirc it concerns the bridge and the underground trains emitting a pulse if the cars get this magnetic or electrical pulse during a gear change, it can disturb the workings between the throttle, clutch and gearbox, so they try to shield the gearboxes to prevent them from picking up these pulses whilst going over the bridge.
In the past you used to get cars just stopping in track because of this.
I’m not sure how they go about shielding the gearboxes but each team has a slightly different way of doing it, and apparently RB tend to be most susceptible to these issues.
