Had an intriguing dream this morning

We were in a geek store with my friend Attandi and another person I can’t remember, maybe an ex friend we had in common. The guys who owned the shop really had that nasty « guy from the Simpson’s comic book shop » vibe , so my friends’ « no respect mode » got activated as soon as we stepped inside🫡 . They had tiny Flat Beat Eric* plushes, the classic yellow one and some collector editions in other colors like red and blue, I looked at the price tag « 19€ » and I told to myself I would never buy a 10cm plush for that price, my friend Attandi looked at me and asked « you want one 😏😈🤪? » and I was like «😬🤔😳 Uh… » I hadn't even started my sentence that she had already put the stuffed animal in her bag with a bunch of other stuff, the general energy we brought to the shop was reckless, insolent, and unhinged. I quickly bought a few candies before leaving the store in a rush just for us to seem less suspicious. We left the store as quickly as possible and a little further we shared the loot consisting of the candies I had bought and the goodies Attandi had stolen.

The second part of my dream was about a school called « L’École de La Lune » (School Of The Moon) which apparently was an art school. I think Ibrahim was considering to start studying there and told me about it. For some reason, I was visiting the school which was absolutely incredible. The school was high up, maybe on a hill, and it’s center was a kind of big round inner courtyard with different levels entirely made of stone, and these big weird sculptures, some of which looked like gigantic humans semi buried in the ground. There were no need for windows, everything was opened in this space, the amount of natural light was just unbelievable, which made everyone look so beautiful. If you looked outside your first sight was the sky, you had to approach the edges of the courtyard and look down to see the city. White people where a minority in the school, I only saw a very few. There were people from pretty much everywhere so you could hear a bit of all languages. The court was packed with students, lots of small groups talking together. I had barely begun to tell myself « what if I joined him here, I would love to have an atelier » that I started looking at everyone and think « you guys all look very nice but so unconcerned….Something’s off… Is this a private school ???? » and then I thought « does he already know that or will I have to tell him ? » .

This is Flat Beat Eric. He's the mascot of this French guy called Mr.Oizo who makes electronic music, works at Ed Bangers Records, and is probably a douchbag. I unfortunately happen to like his music since I was about 14 or 15 yo.

‎Medse Releases Hounds Unto The DancefloorMedse is a Swedish music producer who is heavily influenced by some of the greats like Daft Punk, The Prodigy, Deadmau5, Justice, and Mr.Oizo, his music is usually a mix between Electronic rhythms and Grime-styled vocals. His latest single Hounds is a perfect sample of that, Hounds is an energetic electronic banger with punchy rap vocals about growing up in the ’90s and facing all the strange qualities of this modern day. Grime influences. It a surprisingly punchy. I find the lyrics to the song rather interesting as it ridicules how things are done in our modern day. The lyrics of the song can easily be related to people born in the 90s, the feelings of being alienated from today’s rap scene, all the mumble-rap songs, and the dream of becoming rich and successful. Hounds draw attention to the pretense that everything is fine and under control, whereas it is not, trying hard to adjust to how it works especially social media. Not only does Hounds have an interesting wordplay, but the beats are danceable and catchy. A good dose of comedy and a top-notch vocal delivery make this track a very, very entertaining experience.
