Etna: I don't know what you've got to complain about, with such a perfect feminine body... Looks like there's going to be some tough competition in the beauty stakes around here from now on!

Flonne: Hey, Miss Etna... Do you know this guy?

Etna: He's a legendary Netherworld chef. He's a true culinary genius, he can transform literally any ingredients into a wonderful meal.

Flonne: What in the world is going on...

Etna: My name is Etna! I wish to challenge you to a cooking battle, to see who can make the best dessert!!

Mr. Champloo: A challenge, you say!? Boom - I accept! ... What ingredients can we use?

Flonne: Oh. As luck would have it, there are some Prinnies over there...

Etna: Wow! I'm going to have to taste this right away!!.... Let's eat! Ahh...that scent is incredible. The texture is as smooth as silk. And its sweetness is unparalleled..... This...This is amazing! It's an unprecedented creation! It's spectacular! It's the greatest dessert ever made!

Flonne: ...It looks like Miss Etna's completely forgotten about the Laharl situation.

Very few characters earn actual hate from me because I don’t take anything that serious. But anyways, this is a long post. So under the cut it goes

Sae - Peach Girl. Beginning of my trust issues

MeiMei - JJK. Whole weirdo and a waste of a badass

Shou Tucker - FMA. Worst anime dad, hands down

Danzo - Naruto. Stole my boys eye, stole bug dilfs adoptive son, and a general coward that tried to act like he wasn’t

Yasui - 7 Seeds. makes my blood boil and I don’t care about his redemption

Hisoka - HxH. makes my ass itch

Zoldyck family (minus Killua and Alluka) - HxH. icky ass itches

Mr. Yashiro - Erased. Added stress to my life and subtracted a year or two because of it.

Robin - Heavenly Delusion. For OBVIOUS TW reasons

Griffith - Berserk. I need him dead yesterday

Light - Death Note. I just don’t like him

Mineta - BNHA. Why?

Koza - Samurai Champloo. I can forgive a weak character, I can not forgive a manipulative backstabbing character that is also weak

5. Do you respond to comments? Usually yes! I love receiving them so I try to encourage it as much as I can by interacting <3

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Probably gotta be the fic where I killed Louis (which I do still plan on finishing btw)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Holy Ground :)) this one is sickeningly sweet tbh i was in serious need of some fluff when I wrote it

8. Do you get hate on fics? only very rarely. basically never happens now that I only allow comments from people with accounts

What’s the craziest one you’ve written? not currently but crossover crackfic was how i started my fic writing career back in high school. craziest was a roleplay with my bestie that involved characters from Naruto, Samurai Champloo, DNAngel, Fruits Basket, Gravitation, and Fullmetal Alchemist

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? not to my knowledge. nice thing about writing for such a small fandom someone would probably notice and notify me pretty quick

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? idk if i can pick one definitively but its a VC ship for sure. its kind of all of them tbh all the main canon ones. i cycle thru obsessing over each of them depending on the fic im working on. if i was forced to choose at gunpoint i would go with Nickistat

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? hate the phrasing of this how dare u make me face my demons. I will finish all of my wips i will break the cycle and then i will be free and never again be plagued by thoughts about the Characters in Situations. i know this sounds like a cop out answer but i genuinely with all my heart believe that i will eventually get to all 17 of my wips this is simply the extent of my hubris

16. What are your writing strengths? dialogue i think. and smut idk can smut be a strength. tbh i haven't received a lot of constructive feedback on my writing outside of fan spaces so i dont feel qualified to answer this

What are your writing weaknesses? over-explaining/over-describing characters actions and motives and emotions in a scene. i feel like this is smth that doesnt come across in my final drafts as much anymore bc ive been actively working on it but this is the thing i consistently struggle with during the process. also i tend to be kind of lazy with research which isnt the best quality to have when you write mostly in historical settings. but with fanfic i feel justifed in only spending one hour instead of three reading up on life in 18th century Paris since i do have a life to get back to at some point. if i was writing for publication i would try harder

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I do it, poorly. almost exclusively French in this fandom, and a little Italian. I do my best to check multiple translation sources (from real speakers if possible) and find example sentences to base my grammar on. but again, this is a hobby so I don't hold myself to the same standard I would if I was doing it professionally

19. First fandom you wrote for? pretty sure my first fanfic was that crossover i mentioned earlier so. all of those

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? oh boy. hold on gimme a sec. ok i think its Against All Odds rn. i was at the top of my game when it comes to Loustat banter (had recently reread the first 3 books) and its very tight and compact and cinematic im still really pleased with it 2 years (??!?!?!?) later

Since you wanted some Distraction Asks: Last impulse purchase that wasn't food. Last song you listened to. Last song you had stuck in your head that wasn't the one you listened to. Favorite coord (that's the word, right?)? Favorite accessories? Favorite memory of the last year? Favorite perfume or cologne?

Last impulse purchase: I have made... a lot of impulse purchases lately oops. >.> But most of them were Christmas gifts! Well, IDK if it's an impulse purchase if you let it sit for more than 24 hours... but I'm going to say the 4 LP record set of the Samurai Champloo soundtrack I picked up on Yahoo Japan. I really liked that series back when it was airing, and the music slapped. I have a small record collection but it's like 90% anime and game soundtracks lol.

Lat song I listened to: 黄昏のBay City as part of a "Future Funk" playlist on youtube.

Last song stuck in my head: "My Brothe: An Email Funk Opera" by Jazz Emu. It's... I don't know. Is catchy the right word? I just keep yowling out the spam email quality english. "AND I LIKE GIVE IT ALL TO YOUUUUU"

Favorite Coord: HARD TO PICK. Gosh, okay so when I was FINALLY able to go to a Takashi Murakami exhibit I made a coord inspired by "Mr. DOB" a character of his and that was a really silly, verging on costumey thing but it was something I'd wanted to do for years and I finally DID IT. Also, I have this Daredevil coord waiting for the right opportunity to wear it >.>

Favorite Accessories: My husband gave me a really sweet Chocobo silhouette necklace one year and it's very elegantly nerdy. On the less elegant side of things, I have a fanny pack that is like... reflective metallic blue plastic that appeals to the vaporwave fan at the core of me. I also have this... steel(?) ring. I don't know where it came from, but it appears to be made of one very long nail or screw with a hexagonal head. The body of the nail is then stretched out and smoothly curls around the head before bending back. The effect means that the hard edges of the head are surrounded by the soft curl of the hammered body and I thought that was a pleasing contrast- and I sort of adopted it as a symbol of how you can be soft on the outside, but still strong on the inside.

Favorite memory of the last year: It's been a heck of a year, hasn't it? Gosh, and time seems so fake, the days blur together. I spent a lot of time planning a Japanese fashion mixer for a small convention in my town. I wasn't able to spend much time there because of I'm high risk for Covid complications, but THANKFULLY the con chair made masks and vaccines a requirement so I was able to show up for some portions. I got to meet up with an art icon MINORI and purchse some of her artwork, which was wonderful. While I wasn't able to attend most of the mixer (since people were unmasked and eating) I skipped out to go eat some (awesome) Venezuelan food on a patio and dipped back in as things were winding down. People seemed to be having an amazing time and enjoyed the theme and decor I put together, which was really satisfying after putting so much hard work into it.

Favorite perfume or cologne: I don't usually wear the stuff? I have some bottles of like... fruity smelling bath and body works nonsense, but this is just never a thing I got into. I just smell things and go "yep, that's a smell. It smells like x!" but I don't really have opinions about them. Anyways, my go to body sprays are the like, mango or raspberry nonsense because i want to smell like a snow cone or cake, I guess.

How I feel about this character: Adore her!

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: Oof hard, Jin, Mugen, and Fuu are already a policule.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Hishikawa Moronbu. The entanglement the girl gets roped into sometimes.

My unpopular opinion about this character: None actually. The best subversion of anime fanservice happened already straight up in Episode 01. Fuu was given so much personality and resourcefulness, she's quiet underrated as female character, especially considering in the comedic department.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: The journey with her, Jin, and Mugen should've never ended but I guess that's what a thought out narrative and bittersweet ending is supposed to do. :')

How I feel about this character: So many feelings, ranging from amazement how she's written, repulsed by her coldblooded cruelty, gripped by her inner conflict.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Lyra Belacqua, Metatron (imagine being able to fool an all-knowing being even after he exposes your entire inner life)

My unpopular opinion about this character: Certainly, having to act after the legacy left by the cast of Nicole Kidman is no joyride but I really dislike Mrs. Coulter's show depiction. By looks alone, Ruth Wilson bares too much of Mrs. Coulter's actual intimidating presence and cruelty, her being torn for her almost involuntary love for Lyra and her hunger for power are underlying currents of her personality but are visible much later in the Amber Spyglass. Mrs. Coulter vileness being accredited to her being denied a doctorate by the Church also makes no sense. Not only for her personality which apparently always was ambitious, if not reckless, but um... female academics exist in Lyra's world in spite of misogynistic disregard amongst male professors.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: What I wouldn't give for a scene with Marisa talking with her daemon! The fact how he acts in her will yet both never talk or share intimacy with each other is so haunting.

Laharl: Like most characters. Frienemy, not Flone but not Etna either. I'd probably be looking for a job at his palace and be kind of a mix of Fenrich but with Etnas playfulness towards him

Etna: Frival. We would tease laharl. But i would get in the way of her plans as much as i could when it came to mess with him too much

Flone: Friends! She would be curious of my morality like she is with any demon, but she could see i wasn't evil

Gordon: Idk, honestly i might kill him

Zeroken:i'd be pretty dismissive of him at the start. But he would win me over latter.

Goldion: We chilling. But i'd have some grudge on him after learning the whole deal. Like i'd expect him to have done more. But then again he was wounded.

Void: I'd be creeped out by his sisconing. And at post game i'd wanna force him to Give Alma ice back to Killia. (we know he can hold more than one overload too, coz he had both Tyrant Revellio and Marjoritas Overload-be we madevoid give it back to her)

I've been binging Steven Universe Season 3 now that I'm on a bit of a break between classes.

This show rocks.

Let's see... Thoughts below!

Lapis and Peridot are great.

Stevonnie continues to be the best character in the show, countered only by Kevin's existence as The Worst.

The baseball episode was *incredibly* fun, second only to Samurai Champloo's!

Lapis and Jasper's relationship has really been heating up in interesting ways. Idk what Jasper's planning but it's def not good.

Mr Greg was almost a perfect episode and it's always nice when Greg gets to kiss and make up with the gems.

And the townie episodes aren't particularly that bad, Restaurant Wars and Kiki's Pizza Delivery Service aren't like exceptional episodes but they help to break the pace on the gem action. The New Lars is a really great episode for understanding Lars even if he's literally only in it for 2 scenes, etc.

Very hyped to continue into season 4.

One complaint is not enough Connie. She's in like 4 episodes in the whole season, including the Stevonnie Ep.
