Combination of McLennon and Paul is dead
This is a post that I found on "Paul Is Dead: Examining The Life And Death of James Paul McCartney" FB group.
When this person writes "ShepLennon", they mean Billy Sheard (aka Faul) x Lennon.
They are confused but they've got a spirit lmao.
"*Bear with me a long post:
“McLennon” was not real. But SHEPLennon may well have been, and that solves a mystery…
Among Beatle fans there are some who believe that John Lennon and Paul McCartney were lovers from an early age. That they were soulmates, no one disputes, but there are many who disagree about John and Paul being the couple known as “McLennon”. Paul was extremely promiscuous with women, and seemed to put up with the fact that John seemed to be in love with him, or at least would get jealous. George Harrison famously told of a night in Hamburg where Paul was shagging some bird and John walked in, had a fit and cut up the girl’s clothes with scissors.
There are some pics of John and Paul gazing at each other with affection – as you’d expect from closely bound young men going through something unprecedented together. You can also find photos of J&P also looking with similar fondness at George and Ringo (they would practically sit on top of each other), all through 1963 and 1964, and part-ways through 1965.*** (More on this another time.)
Within the “McLennon” fandom, there is this great ‘mystery’. They all wonder why the breakup and the acrimony, etc, which makes no sense to them.
The thing is, the break up of the Beatles, the ugliness of it and the lingering distrust and resentment CAN’T make sense unless you understand that in September of 1966, Paul was assassinated and by November replaced by William Shepherd.
And that (because the Beatles initially believed that Paul had died in an accident, therefore having no reason to resent him, personally) the deeply grieving band initially had no personal issues re Billy, beyond wishing he’d not been ‘necessary’ (or ordered). It’s true that George, Paul’s OLDEST friend, never took to Billy, but John and Ringo go on fine with him.
Were Paul and John lovers? The man who sometimes comes into these forums and calls himself Liam Steen (who, like Billy and all of the MPL plants tells some truth mixed in with misinformation) said “No”. He emphatically and repeatedly said Paul McCartney was straight, and that he never did drop acid. Steen also said (emphatically) that JOHN and BILLY WERE attracted to each other, at least, and may have been lovers.
Photographs, videos, and gifs of John and Billy throughout 1967 and up through the recording of “Hey Bulldog” seem to bear this out. Lots of pictures of John and Billy walking through London with Martha the dog (likely Billy’s ‘familiar’) or driving together, and what seems to be some clear flirtatious ‘like lovers’ gazing, and touching.
Yoko told a story of Billy being called “John’s princess” by the staff at EMI, and also of hearing John calling out “for Paul” in a very needy, vulnerable way. Which sounds like she heard them having sex, but I digress.
All of that ENDS after the trip to India, where some sort of ritual was performed, connected to Paul (and using an artifact of Paul’s) that left the other three, most particularly John, completely traumatized, and for the rest of their lives.
The break was the beginning of Billy’s eventual ‘breakdown’ as the band no longer wanted to work with him (probably why he became so overcontrolling during the White Album) and John’s almost immediate attachment to Yoko. Both Linda and Yoko were alums of Sarah Lawrence College (a known ‘spook’-feeding school) and the men eventually married them within a week of each other… like lovers trying to piss each other off, or show that they were moving on. But John and Billy never did move on.
First they fought, and some of the legal wrangling that extended all of that had to do specifically with Billy being determined to continue using Paul’s name and identity (but that’s another story and “How do you sleep” was about exactly that).
But Billy and John were obsessed with each other and never stopped writing and talking about each other. There is a tape of John Lennon, at the piano, writing “Real Life” singing: “hold you in my arms/and now you’ve a baby, and another on the way…”
https://itspaulthewalrus.tumblr.com/post/651703402830708736/serenade-meow-amclennonblog-john-cries-while
And of course, now Billy won’t shut up about how much he loved John. When asked if John could return how he would spend the day with him, Billy answers, “IN BED.”
https://bewaremylove.tumblr.com/post/87659554397/q-if-john-lennon-could-come-back-for-a-day-how
The big “McLennon” mystery is not unsolvable if you begin from the premise that Paul McCartney was dead and John (for whatever reason) transferred his love to someone who was (at best) a facsimile of Paul, who made it feel like his Macca was still around, and who would both drop acid with him and be a lover.
And the break up after India makes perfect sense then, too. The McLennon people want to believe that the break up came because John wanted to be ‘out’ with “Paul” and Billy wouldn’t do it, wanted a family. And maybe that did happen. But Billy, by his own admission, is a witch and a magickian**** who tried to do something with Paul’s spirit while in India, through ritual that may well have included a blood element (ask me about Oblahdi, Obladah, sometime…) and that left John nearly psychotic".

Hi! I was trying to find more info of Geoff Baker's book "Rock Bottom" and it's a bit hard to find info about the story and possibly connection to Paul.
1) I saw that you have a copy, have you ever made a post analyzing it in the mclennon context? I know it's mostly speculation, but I still want to know
Oh Yes, this is quite a fascinating read. I bought a copy in 2021 that surprisingly was autographed by Geoff Baker himself.
By calling it fiction is the only way MPL signed off on it. After they did, they killed all PR for it and Geoff Baker has fallen off the face of the earth.
He held nothing back when it came to throwing shade about Paul/ Ian's homosexuality. This excerpt was from the first chapter:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The entire book will make you see everything in Paul's inner circle quite clearly. They have been spinning yarns for decades to cover up some suspicious behaviors.
I see that it is nearly impossible to get a copy of this, I have a few pages scanned, but it doesn't do the story justice.
You will definitely get sucked into this story and can't help but imagine Paul and his people during the entire thing. Other than it being a slanderous publication that MPL tried to squash, I don't know what else to tell you about it. Except, even the dedication to "Nick" even sounds like this story was familiar to A LOT of people.
Let me know if you have more questions about it.

[Louis getting a shoutout and the article's main photo in one of the biggest papers in the US]
Louis Tomlinson: While his former One Direction bandmates Harry Styles and Niall Horan have garnered more success as pop stars, Tomlinson is garnering a decent amount of respect as a rocker. His second album, "Faith in the Future," boasts echoes of Arctic Monkeys and Phoenix and features the 1975's cohort Mike Crossey as co-producer. We'll see if little Louie can sound as big in concert as he does on the record. The Snuts and Andrew Cushin open. Light and sound waves reveal negative pressure
Negative pressure is a rare and challenging-to-detect phenomenon in physics. Using liquid-filled optical fibers and sound waves, researchers at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL) in Erlangen have now discovered a new method to measure it. In collaboration with the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technologies in Jena (IPHT), the scientists in the Quantum Optoacoustics research group, led by Birgit Stiller, can gain important insights into thermodynamic states. As a physical quantity pressure is encountered in various fields: atmospheric pressure in meteorology, blood pressure in medicine, or even in everyday life with pressure cookers and vacuum-sealed foods. Pressure is defined as a force per unit area acting perpendicular to a surface of a solid, liquid, or gas. Depending on the direction in which the force acts within a closed system, very high pressure can lead to explosive reactions in extreme cases, while very low pressure in a closed system can cause the implosion of the system itself. Overpressure always means that the gas or liquid pushes against the walls of its container from the inside, like a balloon expanding when more air is added. Regardless of whether it's high or low pressure, the numerical value of pressure is always positive under normal circumstances.

Tumblr literally never told me about this ask and now I'm kickin myself. I'm half asleep atm, so I'm gonna spit some of my favorites from off the top of my head:

You seem to know a fair amount about visual art as well as the Beatles, and I'm curious if you know any more about the individual Beatles's art collections? I obviously know that Paul is into Magritte and has at least one. I saw that Stella quote recently about Ringo collecting Condo. And I found out today that Paul has some John Bratby in his collection. I've done a bit of googling to try to get more info without much success. Are there any other artists that they are known to collect? And anything particularly interesting about them collecting those artists? Thanks!
Hey anon! Thank you for such a lovely question! This is by no means a complete list, just a starting point. I encourage people to add on to this post. I'll revisit it and add to it when I can comb through books again 👍
John:
Tumblr media
(Brian had owned a few of Lowry's works, and encouraged The Beatles + Cilla to collect art as well.)
John had also kept some Stuart Sutcliffe paintings in Kenwood (Many Years From Now + other sources).
Other than that, I can't find too much about specific artists that John sort out just yet.
Paul:
Lots of history and love between Paul and de Kooning, which you can read about here and here.
"Paul's own taste in art and literature veered towards the proto-surreal. In art he was attracted to the dream landscapes of Giorgio de Chirico, Paul Delvaux and Salvador Dali and he admired the paintings of Max Ernst, but it was the work of Rene Magritte that gave him the most pleasure." (Many Years From Now)
"The Scottish-Italian artist Eduardo Paolozzi, one of the leading figures in the British Pop Art movement, had a previous connection with the Beatles: he taught Stuart Sutcliffe painting at Hamburg State Art College in 1961-1962, after Stuart left the Beatles to live with Astrid Kirchherr. Paul is still in touch with Paolozzi, who is occasionally to be seen at Paul's parties." (Many Years From Now)
"The whole of the offices of MPL Communications Ltd was beautiful with fabulous art… I was so taken with the Williem De Kooning tapestries in his inner office… I don’t suffer from envy but here, I have to admit, I was. These tapestries start at 3 million pounds, but I was not so in awe of the cost but in the glory of them. And that this young lad from Liverpool could own so much. But the first piece of art to startle me was a sculpture by the now Sir Eduardo Paolozzi: that was one of the big images that confronted me in Paul’s office, a Paolozzi sculpture, a stainless steel torso." Pauline Sutcliffe
There's also a section of his website: Paintings on the Wall, which have some lovely information about artists Paul is interested in and art history in general.
Ringo:
Ringo seems like a big collector, but I don't think he's really said much on the subject. So, you can look through this auction, which is full of very interesting art that Ringo owned at some point. It seems like he has a real fondness for pop art, obviously. Roy Lichtenstein pieces pop up all the time.
He also owns several of Yankel Feather's works.
And yes, George Condo is a big one. Here's an interview with Condo, where he mentions Ringo (don't yell at me about the 'John and Yoko were arty' tone 😂')
Rail: It would be a fantastic exhibition to put together. Before we conclude I also wanted to talk about your “simulated found objects.”
Condo: Well, the idea was simple: could I create something so real that it would look like I found it? One day I was having a conversation with Ringo Starr, and we were talking about the song “I am the Walrus” by the Beatles, and I said, “You know there’s always been one thing I wondered about that song. When all of a sudden it sounds like a radio gets turned on, it sounds like 1920s music. It’s obviously the sound of the radio being turned on, and then you hear the orchestra and George Martin come back in.” I said, “Is that a piece of found music that John had and just inserted into this? Because I know John and Yoko were into that kind of thing.” Ringo said, “No, actually, John composed that piece of music to sound like he had found it." (source)

1. relationship status: single :(
2. favourite colour: oooh lots!! lavender, forest green, bubblegum pink, and seafoam to name a few!
3. favourite food: I also don’t have a straight answer to this bc i Love Food. Pierogi are a big one, but so is kimchi ramen. Also a rly good hamburger is the way 2 my heart. Oh and I’m a fan of figs. Figs w goat cheese, roasted, w herbs, in jam, YEEEAAAHHH
4. last thing i googled: literally the word seafoam bc “seafoam green”, seafoam is one word and not two……
5. dream trip: listen man i have been trying to plan a trip to minneapolis for like three years now and all sorts of shit always came up and i had to make a whole new plan every time. i love the midwest with my whole heart, if someone asked me “hey we could either go to chicago or italy” bon voy-a-gee i’m taking chicago every time. also i’m supposed to be going to mpls next summer so FINGERS CROSSED. also a huge ireland/scotland/wales trip would be so fun.
6. time: 7:52
7. last book you read: oooh it’s a boring book for school BUT i am currently reading The Hobbit and it’s rapidly becoming one of my favorites ever.
8. last book you enjoyed reading: Lemon Jail by Bill Sullivan. it’s about an hour and a half read, super short, probably some of the funniest Replacements anecdotes and it also gave me an even bigger appreciation for what Bill went on to do after being the mats’ right hand man. I’ve also read this like 5+ times now.
9. last book you hated reading: my case studies textbook for applied learning theory because my professor wrote the book and the structure of the case studies are extremely bloated and the dialogue is comically bad. anyway
10. favourite craft to do: paint + also i have a bedazzler……..
11. most niche dislike: when “new vinyl” comes out and you buy this overpriced reissued record and put it on your record player and it rains rice krispies on your stereo w all them snap crackle pops. stop trying to make new records sound old!!! i have literally had new records skip parts of songs bc the grooves were pressed incorrectly!! i’m not a fan of newer reissued records bc they all have that “we’re trying to make this sound old and beat up for your vintage vibes” thing
12. opinion on circuses now and in history: do not like them. many of them were once human zoos, the whole “freak show” with traveling circuses still happens at state fairs and it’s just rly gross and ableist. not to mention animal abuse which was literally the reason my family Never went to the circus. although i completely agree w @westerberg on ur comment about Paul bc yes!! i rly appreciate stagecraft and the art of show business.
13. do you have a sense of direction and if not what’s the worst way you ever got lost: sense of direction is REALLY BAD. i live on the east coast (floriduh) so I’ve tried the whole directional thing with looking at where the sun is but nope! worst way i’ve gotten lost was in middle school trying to find a class in a hallway that wrapped around, so I was speed-walking, panicking in a circle for a few minutes after the late bell.

A Tribute to Mom's Spaghetti
I'm not exaggerating when I say that in my opinion
Mom's spaghetti
is one of the greatest lines of rap of all time.
It's feminine rhyme. Feminine rhyme takes more work.
It's funny! It's actually one of maybe two jokes in this largely quite serious piece about the pressure of the stage
It's Extremely Of Its Author's Voice. It's a little bit crass, but in a way that feels very specific to Eminem.
It tells us so much. There's a feeling in poetry that it's important to pack meaning in so tight and condensed that you could measure it MpL - Meaning per Letter - rather than per word. As William Carlos Williams put it,
so much depends upon
a red wheel barrow
glazed with rain water
beside the white chickens
You are constantly trying to get as much meaning, import, and depth into every word as you can. That's as true for rap as for written poetry, even if in rap the meter and rhythm and how it sounds end up being more important than in written poetry.
Anyway "mom's spaghetti" tells us that this guy lives with his mom. That at an age where he's trying to get out of the house and make his fortune she's still making his meals. Within the American context the choice of food also has a bit of a trailer-trash vibe, which is confirmed later in the piece.
And as if that weren't enough
It's got great meter, and thus
It's an instantly quotable earworm. It's arguably more remembered than the also really well-written and moving chorus line of the song.
"Lose Yourself" is my favorite piece out of Eminem's entire body of work. It's earnest and heartfelt, speaking to his own experience and why it matters to him and then applying it to how it could matter to you too, without ever compromising or softening his edge for the censors he's never respected.
I've got to formulate a plot or end up in jail or shot Success is my only motherfuckin' option, failure's not Mom I love you but this trailer's got to go I cannot grow old in Salem's Lot.
[Edit: Dear Tumbr I don't know why you won't let me leave the last word of the post italicized. That's weird. Further Edit: It's de-italicizing "Lot" specifically even when there's further text? What the hell.]
