IT'S WAWA WEEK
And I've been working on shorts for over 10 days now! Excited to share~
----------
25/3 â Friends: ZOO
Based on my many fun but fraught visits.
Seri learns the power of FRANDSHIP Shou tries to pet a crocodile Ritsu experiences churros They are at a zoo with American food don't question it ANTS
General Audience. No trigger warnings. Depictions of disassociation and anxiety/sensory issues. Some minor Seri/Rei. Capybara.
-----------------------
Serizawa stood in the middle of the walkway. Throngs of people flowed past- left, right, strollers, backpacks, balloons- all moving with their own purpose. That was the problem of a crowd. Being surrounded by so many yet still left completely alone, even if oneâs anxieties preyed on that ever present fear that everyone is watching, everyone is judging. His fingers tensed at his sides before balling into fists. Just focus on one thing. That tree looks nice. It didnât work. Bits of conversations bled into one another until all he could hear was chaotic noise as he took a slow, strained inhale.
âOi, Katsuya.â
Everything snapped back into place. What was once churning and bleating returned to laughter and normal voices. A little kid ran past him asking an older sibling for ice cream. Serizawa blinked a few times until his eyes focused on a hand waving in front of his face.
Reigen gestured to the gate past the courtyard. âYouâre holding on to all their tickets, buddy.â
Purpose swelled in to replace nervousness. Serizawa looked up to see the four middle schoolers gathered at the large, glassed off map near the entrance. Teru was pointing to one of the exhibits as Mob laughed, with Ritsu and Shou hanging back to avoid looking too excited. It had all started with wanting to take the Kageyama brothers out to the zoo for a small trip while their parents were out of town. Shou found out and invited himself and of course Mob was going to ask Teru to come as well. Â
âYou alright?â Reigen tilted his head. âKinda went a bit-â He widened his eyes. âStarey back there.â
âS-sorry. Iâm fine.â
Serizawa steadied his fingers and unzipped the small pack at his waist before starting to rummage for the pre bought tickets. Got to save money so Reigen set them up as a school trip, among other things. He didnât even know there were discounts for the son of a wife of a veteran.
The fanny pack had been picked out by Teru when the group went shopping together last week. Serizawa made sure to pack only the essentials. Inside the bright, green, reflective, and waterproof fabric were a mini first aid kit, some hard candies, nylon rope, a small utility knife, compact flair gun, translation book, and a magnesium fire starter with two pens and a pad of paper. And of course the tickets.
âHere they are!â
His voice came out a bit too loud but Reigen didnât seem to notice, or maybe didnât care. He could never tell. The tickets were held at armâs length as Reigen took and inspected them.
âYou know, Iâm glad you decided to come, Serizawaâ A flick of his wrist, Reigen gesturing even with tickets in hand. âYouâve really improved these last few months. Taking night classes and handling society and all it throws at you. I mean the train we took here was wall to wall people.â He paused, meeting Serizawaâs eyes. âBut I know one canât just magically be fine with all of that. So let me know if you need a break, alright?â
âOf course, Reigen-san!â
Reigen blinked back, leaning into his raised hand.
âOh, right. Casual outing, not work.â
âRight. Just like going to class!â Reigen turned. âLetâs catch up with the kids.â
No, it wasnât just like going to class. There he took the same train, walked down the same road, saw the same people, smelled the same smells. He had built that up all on his own: forcing himself to go until every detail was memorized. Predictable. Safe. Even the shopping trip had been short enough for him to handle at a small store that lay on his normal rout to work. Serizawa could feel his heart beat ever faster.
A small pack of kids ran by screaming. Music played from various speakers. The smell of fried food mixed with a musky, earthly scent. New sounds from every side conflicted with the various signs, decorations, and posters his eyes tried to read all of them at the same time. Even his clothing, though comfortable and casual for the day, left him feeling itchy.
âSerizawa-san.â Â Â
He suddenly found himself at an exhibit in front of a glass wall looking over a recreated wetland. On land a few reptiles were lounging on broad leafed plants with fish under the water line. Mob was at his side glancing up at him without a hint of judgment in his eyes.
âShishou says he wants to gather everyone up for a snack before we head into the rainforest building.â
âOh.â Gears turned then started to grind. âOh! Where- where is everyone?â Serizawa started to pull at his own hair, looking back and forth. âI was supposed to be watching and- Reigne-san- I should have-â
âItâs fine.â Mob turned his head to peer down the little trail to another section. âMy brother and the others are feeding the crocodiles.â
Serizawaâs heart skipped a beat as he frantically stared ahead. âWHAT.â
Mobâs voice remained steady, but he punctuated his words with a short laugh. âDonât worry. I donât think a crocodile could take them on. Plus thereâs zoo keepers monitoring the entire thing.â
Lowering his arms, Serizawa tried to catch his breath. A few of the fish swam by, their forms distorted from both the surface of the water and thick glass window. Four conversations, no five. Parents talking over kids. Loud footsteps on the wooden planks that lined the ground. All that with the constant, wet smell of algae.
âThe first time I went to the zoo, Ritsu had just mastered walking.â Mob looked out over the water continuing in his monotone. âMy parents had the stroller for him, but he still wanted to do it all himself. I barely got to see any animals because I was so worried about him.â
Serizawa looked into the enclosure as well. Itâs fine. Everyone is fine. Youâre fine. His fingers were still clenched, tongue pressed against the roof of his mouth.
âAfter when we were heading back, my mom took me aside and said she was proud of me for watching over my little brother so well. But-â A glance up at Serizawa. âShe said thereâs no need to do everything all by myself. We are a family, we have friends.â
A long exhale. Everything melted away accept for Mobâs voice. Serizawa could now feel the auras of all the others: Shou, Teru, even Reigen, and senses their emotions. Calm, happy. Itâs fine.
âDo you mind getting your brother and your friend?â Â Serizawa cracked a smile. âIâll wrangle up Shou.â
A bit later they now all sat around the classic outdoor table made of rubber covered metal that formed a crude mesh so the employees didnât have to worry too much about weather or cleaning. Serizawa recalled sitting at one when he was little with his mom as they waited for some fast food. That one had an umbrella though. Donât need one now: not with the clear weather and good company.
âHey, I was only gonna touch one.â Shou pointed a ketchup dipped fry at the others. âWhen else will I have a chance to pet a crocodile?â
Teru looked up from his burger. âMaybe try when the zoo keepers are not right there?â
âNot my fault you were too chicken.â Shou grinned back.
A scoff. Teru leaned back and crossed his arms. âWhat about Ritsu? He was standing back with the all the rest.â
âI was trying to get a good angle for a photo.â Ritsu didnât look up from his food as he answered.
Reigen and Mob had gone back in line for more food. They returned triumphant with more fried, unhealthy goodness.
âAlight, got some desert. Mob said heâs never had a churro so here we are.â
Reigen set a cardboard tray in the middle and sat down; eagerly eyeing the double decker burger he had been forced to leave behind.
A smile from Serizawa, lost in thought as he listened to the kids talk about their day so far.
âSo Serizawa.â Reigen was speaking from a half full mouth, pointing with his burger in hand. âYou enjoying your order?â
âOh! Yes!â Serizawa stiffened before grinning back. âThough I thought a corndog was going to be something different.â
âRight? I remember getting one as a kid when some American fair came to town.â Another bite, some of the sauce dribbling down Reigenâs chin. âStill tasty. I swear they make this stuff to be addicting.â
The burger was nearly gone now. Still so many sounds and smells. Serizawa took some breaths and focused on the conversation happening in the moment.
âDo they have wolves here?â Teru was gazing out down the path toward other habitats. They were mainly small mammals and birds. âI hope they donât keep them in little enclosures.â
âNo, itâs a big area in the back with trees and little dens they put into the walls.â Mob took a bite of his churro and suddenly forgot what he was saying.
âYeah, this place is kinda famous for it.â Shou chimed in. âThat and the lions.â
âLions?â Teruâs face lit up.
âWait.â Setting down his soft drink, Shou raised an eyebrow at Teru. âHave you never been here before?â
âUm.â Teru started to tug at his shirt, looking away. âNo? I mean itâs not like my parents took me. And um- I guess-â
âThe schools never have field trips here anymore.â Mob met Teruâs eyes and gave a nod of his head. âThey claim itâs too expensive. But youâre here now.â
âYeah.â Teruâs face softened. âIt was worth the wait.â
Serizawa had kept back, not wanting to interrupt, but now invasive thoughts were flooding in. School, his failure, the bullies, just wanting to hide in his room forever. He closed his eyes for a moment before letting the toxic memories into the light.
âIâve never been here either.â The kids all looked over at him. He had to glance over at Reigen to get enough strength to continue âTh-the schools back then took trips here all the time. I was pretty excited to go. Wouldnât be stuck in some stuffy classroom or hallway for once. But well-â He was gripping the stick of his corn dog so hard it broke in his hand. âThere was an incident with some bullies the week before and- um- and-â
âUgh they always do that.â Reigen gave Serizawa a pat on the back. âEven my teachers did: punish both the bullies and the victim. As if taking away fun activities and privileges would help.â
âHey, kids are cruel man. Spesh with anything different.â Shou nodded at Serizawa. âSorry you werenât able to find a good bunch until now. The night class people seem pretty chill.â
Serizawaâs muscles relaxed. âYeah, itâs nice to not always have to worry.â
âBeing your true self is hard around the wrong people.â Added Teru. âBut bullying has gotten a bit better, what with the student councils and all that. They get more power and police each other.â
âOh yeah my brother was doing something with that.â Mob stole one of Teruâs onion rings with no resistance. âWhat do you think, niisan?â
Ritsu had said very little, and even less now. It was not due to the current subject, however.
âPfff.â Shou nudged Ritsu with an elbow. âYou here in the same reality with us, dude?â
He was looking down at his food, hands holding up his head with a distant stare. Serizawa grew worried.
âUm, are you alright?â
A sigh. âThis is the most unhealthy, horrible thing I have ever eaten.â Ritsu spoke in a low, serious tone. âIâm probably going to get sick after we get home.â His head sunk lower. âBut I canât stop eating it. Why is it so good?â
âAh.â Shou held up one of the churros. âThe existential crisis of fried dough covered in sugar.â He playfully dangled in front of Ristu. âTruly a conundrum.â
Everyone gave a friendly laugh, even Serizawa. His experience with food had been quite limited until recently, relating easily to the bliss of trying something delicious even if it was bad for you.
The noise was still getting to him even after they ate. So many random and chaotic ones mixing together. Serizawa would calm down for a moment before a small kid would scream right next to him. In between there was the music and smells. He followed the kids along into the building hoping that would be better. Nope. Now all the noise was contained in an enclosed space leaving him feeling claustrophobic. He focused on his friends enjoying the animals.
Mob had lagged behind, what with the last area being dedicated to frogs. Not wanting to get separated, Serizawa hung back as well. A group of adults pushing strollers went by. Each were loudly complaining about the cleanliness of the place, and in their own little bubble, they nearly ran over Mobâs foot. One of them turned and gave a cruel sneer. Mob shrank back, holding his arm and looking at the floor. The same group almost bumped into Serizawa as well.
He wanted to help but one of the babies starting crying, causing the others to join in. His limbs froze, muscles knotting. The room spun for a moment and he looked up to check on Mob. He was having the same reaction, backing away and breathing harder, his shoulders tense.
âHey, thereâs a cool ant display ahead!â Teru had walked up and taken Mobâs hand. âWanna watch them carry little leaves and stuff? They have all these clear pipes you can see them travel through.â
Serizawa smiled as they walked by, Mob now calm. Maybe he could get the same relief. The babies continued to cry while he stared at his footsteps, ignoring the mini crowds in front of every glassed enclosed snake, lizard, and spider they passed.
âWhatâs on your mind, Serizawa?â
Another sudden jolt as he was forced out of his head. They had made it out of the building but that just meant even more differences to deal with. Serizawa blinked before turning to see Reigen at his side. He found himself standing in front of a ground enclosure where the animals wandered around in an open air pit behind a fence.
âYou seem really focused. Never seen one before?â
He wanted to say something but failed to conjure up anything concrete, instead turning his head toward the enclosure. Inside sat a few large, furry mammals. Their fur was brown with big eyes and snouts
âItâs a capybara.â Reigen brought up a hand. âThey are the largest of the rat family and in some areas are actually classified as fish to avoid religious traditions of food consumption.â
Serizawa leaned a bit to the side as Reigen gestured, looking past to see an information sign with the same words his boss was stating at this very moment. He couldnât help but grin.
âThey seem very calm.â Serizawa shifted his gaze to meet Reigenâs eyes. âAnd rather cute.â
âHa ha. Yeah.â A blush formed on Reigenâs cheeks. âI guess they are.â
A large crowd wandered past them, some breaking off to yell and point at the capybaras. Why canât he just be in the moment? Why does he tense up every single time? Itâs not like he was doing it on purpose. Serizawa let out a grumbling exhale while wrapping his arms around himself. But one of his hands was stopped.
âHey, you need anything?â Reigen gave a light squeeze to Serizawaâs hand. âI did say you could ask if you needed.â
Serizawa inhaled, no longer hearing the random noises, immune now to attempting to read every sign, only smelling the cheap body spray Reigen used every day. Tears welled in his eyes but he forced them back.
âI- I canât do this. Itâs too much.â The first words came out shaky but he managed to keep them calmer and low now. âThe kids are enjoying this so much, so I canât just go home when they need me. But- but I canât- thereâs so much here and I canât seem to focus and-â
During the desperate rambling, little pebbles started to rise and float around Serizawa, as well as Reigenâs ball cap.
âHey.â Reigen had a hand on Serizawaâs shoulder now, looking straight at him, face serious but kind. âI used to work here you know.â
Breathing fast, Serizawa concentrated on his bossâs words.
âI thought I was going to get to play with animals and stuff. Nope!â Fingers up, gesturing out toward the other half of the zoo. âIt was all shit. Picking up shit. All day.â
Serizawa had stopped crying and was lost in a state of confusion and admiration.
âStill, I had to finish my summer out so I just tried to push through.â Reigen continued. âThat definitely did not work. But I did learn one thing: thereâs this cafĂŠ that barely anyone goes to. Families all want fried food and animal toys and stuff, but this place just has tea.â He stopped flinging his hands around and held one out for Serizawa to take. âWanna take a break and go there? The kids will be fine on their own for a bit.â
Instead of taking the offered hand, Serizawa wrapped his arms around Reigen and pulled him into a hug.
âYes! Iâd like that.â Serizawa mumbled into his bossâs shoulder until he realized what he was doing and released his hold, stepping back and fumbling his arms in front of him. âI mean, if thatâs ok with you, Reigen-san.â
His boss nodded back, still recovering with his hair messily sticking out from his ball cap. âSure thing, big guy.â

"Just as he thought that his hair was familiar, DayOld looked toward the takoyaki stand, his face in profile, and Mob knew that profile. Heâd know it anywhere. Heâd know it half asleep, or drunk or concussed or brainwashed. He could have amnesia and he would know the way those locks of hair fell over the shell of his ear, heâd know the slope of his nose, his jaw, the slight softness to it, heâd know the thoughtful press of those lips as he surveyed a situation. He knew that stance too, hands in pockets, weight on one leg, his other foot pointed out. Why⌠was Reigen standing where DayOld was supposed to be?"

I open Archive of Your Own and search for Mob Psycho 100 fanfiction. I find something with an interesting concept which catches my attention, so I read. The story suddenly hits me with a paragraph about how Tsubomi was "cruel and uncaring". I calmly close the tab.
#most times it happens with fics from 2016 or so? so I ignore it a little considering it probably was written by an anime-only fan#and knowing the manga wasn't complete yet#however. such a description is inexcusable to me after the end of the anime#if tsubomi is cold why did she have the patience to politely reject all that boys instead of just leaving. huh.#if she doesn't care why would she stay in the park during a TORNADO because her childhood friend asked her to come and he âsounded nervousâ#EXPLAINNNNN#mp100#mob psycho 100#tsubomi takane#lalĂĄ rambling...

(tw for racism, pedophilia, transphobia, child impregnation mention)
yeah idk why y'all read this
i was originally going to just post this and have some tags with my reasonings, but i realized that opens me up to too much bullshit from people who may think i'm being unnecessarily mean or whatever. so i'm going to explain exactly why the screenshots above are something i hold issue with.
firstly, and i just want to get this out of the way, this post is not intended to be a hit piece against the creator. i've seen how she reacts to any mild-mannered or slightly joking criticism, so i know this post is probably going to not land well. but it isn't my intention to make her mad or anything--she's writing a piece of content for the internet, which means she is just as open to criticism as any other poster. and what i intend to go into in this post is criticism. i'm allowed to do this, as that is the nature of the internet. people are allowed to critique whatever they please, and if you don't want critique then you shouldn't post. simple as!
i am also making no attempts to posit myself as better than the creator. i'm not doing this for clout or moral superiority or any of that dumb shit. i simply want to discuss something that's been bothering me for a bit, while simultaneously warning people who haven't read this yet (who may be sensitive to the issues above) to steer clear. if things like casual racism or transphobia aren't properly tagged, then readers who are affected by such things run a risk reading this! same goes with people who are triggered by lewd content involving minors. i wanna make sure people are getting a more critical scope of this work than what has been hoisted up by others.
okay, now that i've gotten that out of the way, i'm going to get into my points.
firstly, the subtle and not-so-subtle racism throughout this fic, especially in relation to serizawa. i'm white, so there is only so much i can speak on without trampling over the words of other fans of color, but some of this feels so blatant it's odd it hasn't been noted earlier. it's important to note before i go into it that serizawa is specifically written as half-black half-japanese for this fic, in case the screenshots don't make it abundantly clear. but there are just too many moments of casual racism in this fic. i'm not talking about the plot point of serizawa being bullied as a kid for being mixed; i'm not mixed, so i can't speak on the accuracy there but it is well-known that black people face a lot of racism in japan. i'm talking about how it seems everyone else has these racist moments that aren't acknowledged by serizawa or the narration as being bad.
reigen hypothesizing over serizawa's exact ethnic background is just strange. yes he's a fairly observant guy (he has to be, with his job), but there is no canonical evidence to suggest he would immediately jump to theorizing whether serizawa is american or not. and the way it's posed in that first quote--"he has darker skin and the kind of hair texture that would likely indicate African ancestry"--is not great. that's an extremely inappropriate way to bring up someone's race. i don't think most people would stare at someone and be like "hmmm well your nose shape and hair texture would suggest you're of this race". it's racial essentialization that is only slightly covered up by the excuse of "oh he tweets in english". there are some other smaller moments of questionable wording, like calling serizawa's afro "sloppy" when it isnt (which btw there's another issue with the creator only referring to an afro as a "fro". it's a hairstyle; you're allowed to use the actual name of it). even if reigen cuts his hair in canon, he never states it's because serizawa's afro looks sloppy. (also there's something to be said about the casual racism baked into making your employee cut his natural hairstyle for a job, as that is a very real issue many black people face when wearing their natural hair or even protective styles in the workplace.)
i'm especially bothered by toichiro's very casual racist remarks. toichiro in this fic is a general bother of mine (most of which can be boiled down to "he would not fucking say that"), but the way she chooses to characterize him in relation to serizawa feels gross. calling a black man a slave should be a very obvious red flag, but also saying serizawa (again, as a black man) has a "brutal masculine appeal" is also extremely stereotypical and racist. and really there is just no need for it; toichiro's actions in canon prove how shitty of a guy he is without the need for him to be racist (along with other things i'll get to in a bit). as my girlfriend put it: he doesn't need to be a member of the fucking kkk to show he's a bad guy.
there's also, again, the very casual racist remark of calling serizawa a "dog". i don't care if that isn't the intent; when you are writing a character of color you need to be aware of your wording, even in insults (unless she intended to make tsuchiya racist, which i don't think she did).
secondly, the eugenics/child pregnancy bit. it is surreal to even have to write this, but i seriously do not understand the purpose of either of these bits in the story. they are so minor yet so jarring you can't help but wonder why they're there. once again, i do not think you need to have toichiro doing esper eugenics just to prove he is an evil guy. he has nuance, and by making him casually reference child pregnancy (like that isn't an INSANE thing to say) reduces that nuance to nothing. that's the only reason i could see why that bit was included: to make toichiro look worse. but, even still, the author is running the risk of potentially triggering victims of csa or people who don't want to see that by not properly tagging the mention of it (or, at the very least, warning readers in the intro notes). the only other explanation for it would maybe be shock factor??? but that's a pretty shitty thing to use for shock factor, if i'm honest. also the fact that the esper eugenics was referenced again in a more recent chapter just has me very disturbed and confused. there isn't a canonical explanation for why we see less espers who are women than espers who are men, but that doesn't mean we need to jump to fucking Eugenics. it's weird!
thirdly (and this is probably one of my biggest problems and the main reason i wanted to make this post), the weirdly lewd/sexual language shou uses constantly, along with referring to reigen as a pedo or a creep at several points. frankly, i think it's pretty fucking gross for someone in their near-40's to be writing a 12-year-old talking so casually about sex like that's normal. which, i'm sorry, but it's not. yes, teens know about sex and like to joke about lewd shit. but a 12-year-old is not about to make references to a grown man's virginity. 12-year-olds draw dicks on their desk bc they think it's funny. 12-year-olds say the word "buttfuck" because it has the words "butt" and "fuck" in it, and those are the two funniest words on earth to a kid that age. i literally do not understand the purpose of having shou be so lewd all the time. for one, it doesn't make sense for his character. shou is shown time and time again to be extremely mature for his age, but that maturity extends to shit like assembling a counter-terrorism unit and extending a hand to his father to allow him to try again. and even then he's still just as naive as any other kid his age! the omake where he's telling his guys to go to the "far right corner" based on ritsuâs advice proves that he still has plenty of blindspots that are indicative of his age. leaning into this raunchy, lewd version of shou is just weird. and, again, i think it is made a bit weirder given the author's age!!! not ageshaming or whatever--i'm 23 and i write fanfic, clearly i cannot judge there--but it is just extremely inappropriate in my opinion. also having shou be more versed in sextalk than serizawa is odd too and speaks to a larger issue of serizawa's infantilzation throughout this fic, but that's something i can get into in another post if people want an explanation.
also, the way she constantly calls reigen a creep and even has him being accused of being a pedophile during the twitter cancellation is extremely inappropriate when, again, there is NO CANONICAL BASIS FOR THIS! everyone just calls him a fraud and a scammer during separation arc; there is never a reference to reigen being seen as a pedophile in that arc. and, yes, while there are versions of mob psycho where reigen is very clearly written as a creep (looking very specifically at the netflix adaptation), that doesn't mean it's good. honestly, the creep mentions all just feel like really poor jokes that do not land in the slightest.
finally, the transphobia (aka WHY IS SHIMAZAKI A CHASER). i literally do not know what else to say other than: why? why is this a thing? why is he a chaser? what is the purpose of this? is it a joke? i feel like it's supposed to be, but seeing as the author is cis i don't think that's a joke she should really be making. it not only comes out of left field, but it's just kind of a weird thing to ascribe to a character for no reason. not to mention, it's uncomfortable! trans women deal with enough creepy antics from cis men in real life--why must they be accosted by this guy too? it's just weird and uncomfortable.
i wanna round out this post by saying, once again, that i'm not trying to attack anyone with this post. but i do hope people come away from this with a new perspective on this work, and maybe think twice before recommending it uncritically to someone. to the author specifically, i hope you can read my post without rage or indignance blinding you. i might be a little blunt or rude in parts, but it's only because i'm passionate and i don't mince my words when it comes to things i'm passionate about. to the readers, understand i am not judging you for reading this fic without noticing these things. your own life experiences will give you certain blindspots and there's nothing wrong with that. i have plenty of blindspots of my own! it's what makes us human.
there is more i could say, but this post is long enough. i ask that if you come to me in my inbox or in dms about this that you treat me with respect, as i will do that for you. writing something like this took a lot out of me, as i'm usually not so open about my opinion on shit like this.
have a good day :-)
#mp100#side quest#yeah this is all from <- that fic btw#ive been sitting on this for about a week or so bc ive been nervous abt posting something like this#i dont want people to think im making a callout post just to call shit out#im doing this bc i dont want people to get triggered by this content and because i want fans to be more critical of the content they consum#media literacy is something A LOT of fandoms struggle with and it leads to things being praised uncritically#i simply want people to have perspective when going into a thing#anyways uh. goodbye <3#edit: took the tw tags off bc tumblr was suppressing the post bc of it#so PLEASE heed the warning at the top if u have specific triggers and things

Hey. The Times They Are A Changinâ by @bandtrees and @tigsbitties amiright (muffled face down on the floor)
more (some unsettling things) beneath the cut :3

(Image 3 is my favorite sequence from an animation for TTTAAAC Iâve been working on, so here it is just in case I never finish </3, image 4 is me thinking about Mobâs house. If. That makes sense.)
OH MAN. OH MAN OH MAN. this fic has altered my brain chemistry in a way that has doctors baffled and leaves tragedy in its wake!!!!!!!!! Absolutely a masterpiece Iâve reread it 3 times now and every time I notice a new detail, thereâs just SO MUCH CARE put into it. I think I could write an essay about every page of this fic LMAO it honestly blows me away, huge kudos to everyone who was a part of the project!!!!
Especially the multimedia aspects, they were so much fun to find and in some cases decode (Scared the SHIT outta myself with Breathe I think itâs one of my favorites). the youtube videos were so cool as well
Realizing a third of the way in that things will never get better was such a gut wrenching experience, and by the time I realized just how deep the hole Mob dug himself into was it was absolutely too late for anything to happen (the end of act 1 was horrific in the most amazing way. So many things stuck with me: the state Reigen was left in compared to how he was, Ritsuâs âsurgeryâ, Dimple losing his best friend, Shouâs report to the police, Minoriâs conversation (if you can call it that) with Mob?? Bone. Chilling.
One of the parts that has been sitting in my gut is Reigenâs fall, where he starts to ramble through fragments of old times. I genuinely thought he was calling out to Mob until just as the same time Mob did I recognized the words and it hit me like a HAMMER. I donât know how to put it into words but Reigen rambling on like a broken record tore me apart, and then it gets WORSE. I only realized on my second read that the intro of the fic. (Correct me if Iâm wrong) IS REIGENS PERSPECTIVE OF MOB SEVERING HIS TENDONS???? Holy fuck. Holy FUCK. The vague semblance of consciousness written there is so deeply unsettling Iâm absolutely OBSESSED with it. ESPECIALLY THE FACT THAT EVEN IN THAT STATE HE STILL WANTS MOB TO BE HAPPY (the cheer ^^ mob bit) and idk if Iâm interpreting right (this is gonna be so embarrassing if Iâm not) but him recognizing the filthy jacket as well. Taking me OUT. AND. AND THE FACT REIGEN NEVER SPEAKS AGAIN AFTER THAT?????? (I could be wrong oops)
The mental states of every character in the fic are written so chillingly well. I can understand how Mob spirals, the anger and grief Tome feels, Shou's spite and anger, Teruki's conflict, Dimple's loss of his best friend, Serizawa's waning optimism, I can't name every character in this fic but they are ALL characterized so well. There's no needless conflict that make them OOC, there's a reason behind every little tragedy building upon themselves and creating a giant disaster that deeply affects the entire cast. Not to mention how its not just the loss of Reigen and Ritsu, but the loss of Mob too. If they were to have died on impact, its unsettling to think that things may have turned out better than this.
Thereâs a lot of things I wanna say that would basically be restating the fic (dimple losing his best friend, teru shaving, and the irony of ritsuâs powers being taken away by mob) so instead of writing 20 more paragraphs Iâll ask some questions Iâve been mulling over (ofc yall donât have to answer if itâs revealing too much or smth)
Does Mob actually end up getting investigated or arrested? The formatting of the social media posts and texts makes them seem as if they're evidence and so does the ongoing "interview?" with Shou throughout the fic
In the party, is Reigen saying he doesn't like citrus a reference to the lemon sour :eyes:
I'm probably missing something but im curious about the metaphor around Reigen and a stray cat (hair clinging to Mob's clothes, comparing him to a stray cat finding a place to die, comparing him to a cat outside Serizawa's door)
If I'm not wrong and the "glitchy" sections at the beginning and end of the fic are Reigen and Ritsu's povs respectively, is their mind constantly like that or is it just in the specific circumstances where they have a small burst of consciousness?
last (thats a lie im definitely drawing more fanart in the future) but not least, some notes from when I was re-reading
#sorry for hiding literally everything below the cut i dont wanna jumpscare people#BUT ANWAY.#holy fuck. a masterpiece.#literally tried drawing vase scene (as ive dubbed it for convenience lmao) 3 times its SO HARD to get right#i doubt i was able to truly do this fic justice its so amazing#mp100#tw blood#tw body horror#(not really but the animation is close enough)#TTTAAAC#mob psycho 100#shigeo kageyama#ritsu kageyama#reigen arataka#teruki hanazawa#dimple mp100#so many thoughts about this fic#sorry for my damn essay oh my god#< biggest TTTAAAC fan

Drive folder - AO3
In which, after everything that has happened, Tsubomi regards different people.
Version of this post with page-by-page IDs is here. Personal notes under the cut.
i love mob psycho, followed it since before the anime had even started. i remember debating w people whether dimple was being controlled by the broccoli back in what, 2017? it has had a direct positive effect on my mental health. i mean the last arc being all about self-acceptance..... man. and i love comics generally and want to make more. this is the biggest comic ive made so far so im real proud of it as like a tribute especially considering i tried to use ones busted inking style with all the wobbly ass fixed width brushes
and also as like trying to honor the specific characters. tsubomi is cool bc in so few panels/words you get that she can be both stridently herself without caring what anyone else thinks and also deeply unhappy because she has to perform so much to maintain her image. shes just complicated and weird and i thought that was a place i could tell a story from. is mob ooc in this comic? probably a little lmao but only a little! i was fucking fascinated by th question how did they go from Having a Bad Time in a Park to talking on the phone regularly? and this is my take!! im so glad i got to make mob have to call her home phone *again* before he can get her mobile. really i wanted tsubomi to be able to see that despite everything, through all the hours and social pressures and gaps in understanding, you won't always be alone.
anyway. this is too many words for a comic you could read in 2 minutes. i cant say much else because thats what the comic is for. i cant say enough how fucking cool it is that hundreds of people have read my comics and liked them, i cherish all the tags. its a wonderful feeling. i hope you enjoyed reading! peace.

Fic Prompt - Not the Younglings!
I have a soft spot for Reigen protecting any of the many kids that find themselves in danger. Shielding Tome from a spirit's claws, pushing Teru out of the way when he barrier shatters, making sure an unconscious Ritsu makes it out of danger's way. I love fics where Reigen sacrifices his wellbeing for one of his 'very much not his children but might as well be' kids.

WAWA WEEK PART 6: THE FINAL WAWA
Decided to post my combo tonight. So yeah, I wrapped together the last two prompts: Comfort and Birthday.
HAPPY BDAY WAWA!!!!!!!!
Serizawa is sick and Reigen comes over to care for him.
I have had many a respiratory diseases so sorry for the projecting.
Teen Audience. Seri Rei be here in full force. Depictions of illness and suffering. Dimple sass. Snuggles.
~3000k words
---------------------------------------
Opening his eyes just led to more pain. Light, be it natural or from electricity, seemed to drive toward the back of head, increasing the dizziness before plunging into his stomach to do more damage. It wasnât that he was hungry; more that he had tried to eat too many times and now lay in failure. And that constant, throbbing ache in his temples didnât help either.
Serizawa rolled over hoping that lying on his back would provide a fraction of relief. Used tissues had long over filled the little trashcan he had brought to the side of his bed. Groping at the nightstand, he managed to find a clean one but nothing would stop the visceral coughing whenever he took more than a shallow breath. It started out at a little chest cold: a bit of a tickle in the back of his throat and a runny nose. Now a few days later he didnât even have the energy to take medication let alone keep it down. Weary eyes wandered toward to bathroom door before Serizawa curled up in on himself under the blankets.
Nope. Too hot. He thought he had managed to create a decent homeostasis with his legs outside and his chest protected, but instead all the heat would swell into his head bleed from there, leaving him sweating even with the blankets fully off. Then a shiver would start and heâd have to wake up long enough to bundle himself once more.
Sleep would be nice. Thatâs what his mother always said- just lie in bed for a day, drink some juice, have some soup and it will be fine. His clouded mind attempted to recall if he ever suffered an illness this severe and long when a kid, however that just brought back memories heâd rather keep buried. A groan as he rotated once more, limbs and joints ever sore.
None of this compared to the shame writhing in his guts at having to call off work. It was day three now and all of his desperate attempts to get back into shape had only made him feel worse. Still, he kept his phone by his head ready to text at the first sign of good news. The weekend lay far away and even then he was missing classes and running out of food and clean laundry. His head seemed to buzz with even more pain and he let out a grunt, one eye opening. It turned out to be his phone.
âHappy birthday, son!â Came the text, followed by several heart emojis. âI hope you feel better soon and the care package I brought helped. Love, Mom.â
He cracked a tired grin as tears weld up in his eyes, not helping his congested sinuses. His birthday. He had forgotten all about it. Lifting his head he could still see the quaint basket his mom had brought over a few days earlier. Cookies he was unable taste now, medication that sadly couldnât tackle even a half of his symptoms, cans of soup he was too weak to heat up, and a little potted plant that was slowly drooping from lack of water. Wincing, Serizawa buried his face in an arm and began to desperately sob into a sweat drenched sleeve.
His phone buzzed again. Sorry, mom. Iâll reply later. Just assume Iâm asleep. But it went off again. And again. On the fourth time, Serizawa gritted his teeth and reached for the annoying thing, laying back into the pillow while his eyes tried to focus on the screen.
âHey Tsuya. I rang but you didnât answer.â
âYou in there?â
âPlease answer or Iâm going to kick down the door.â
âKATSUYA PLEASE DONâT BE DEAD.â
A moan followed by slow, heavy footsteps. Serizawa had to brace himself against the wall with an arm before gathering enough strength to even unlock and open the door.
âHeeeey there!â
Reigen stood just outside with arms full of packages and bags. From the reaction, Serizawa assumed his pale face and sunken eyes with a raw, red nose and cheeks wasnât doing him any favors. Without the will to even crack a welcoming expression, he glared ahead as he took short, rasping breaths. No ill will intended but appearing sociable was not exactly the first thing on his mind.
âDoor bellâs broken. Sorry.â A bit of a phlegmy hack followed his words.
âDude, you look fucking horrible.â
While Reigen still wrestled with figuring out if Serizawa had turned into a zombie or not, Dimple chimed in.
âWait. What?â Serizawa stumbled back a bit, still holding on to the door frame. âWhy are you here? Itâs still the middle of the day right?â A panic as he glanced at his phone. 10:23am and still Tuesday. Didnât lose track of the date yet. âDonât you have clients to-â
Reigen was already letting himself in and setting down all his bundles, organizing them on the mail covered table near Serizawaâs meager kitchen.
âI brought some soup and medications- the really good stuff I use when I used to get sick running on one meal a day.â Bottles and cans and veggies with other ingredients even a blanket and some cooling pads. âAnd Shinra send over this charm that is supposed to keep spirits from getting at you when ill.â
âHmph.â Dimple rolled his eyes at the little golden and beaded tag. âTelling you right now thatâs just gonna gather dust.â
Reigen glared up mid opening a bottle of cough syrup. âCan you not for like ten minutes?â
âJust saying!â
Having used his legs longer than he had ever in the past few days, Serizawa limped over to the table and used a chair as a crutch, wincing from muscles sore from both disuse and inflammation.
âReigen-san. What- what about the office?â He stared down at a weekâs supply of food and medication. âHow long are you-â
âNope.â Reigen held a finger against Serizawaâs lips. âIâm here to care for you for as long as it takes. And the office-â A glance away while he tried to come up with the right words. âI decided to close for a bit.â He couldnât meet Serizawaâs eyes but still managed to turn back. âYou need to get back on your feet.â
In the dark apartment it was hard to tell if anyone was blushing, but a confused joy swelled in Serizawaâs chest and he straightened up, only to be taken by a rough spasm of coughs. Reigen frowned. After a few short breaths to catch back up, Serizawa tried to speak again.
âYou- you both came to take care of- of me?â
âHell no.â Dimple pointed at Reigen. âHeâs the one doing the gross stuff.â A grin as he started to float backward. âIâm here to wait outside and scare the pants off of any would be solicitors.â
âYeah. He loves doing that now.â Reigen let out a sigh, brining a hand to his face. âI found out the hard way when MY PAKAGES STOPPED SHOWING UP.â
The angry gripe was not received as Dimple had already slipped through the closed door.
A long sigh. âWelp, start off by taking some of this.â Reigen help up a little clear, plastic cup filled with a bright red liquid. âIt helps a ton with keeping coughing down and I assume you have a sore throat too.â
Serizawa nodded back. Even with his sense of smell and taste obliterated, he still winced as the syrup went down his throat. Strong stuff indeed.
âHowâs that feel?â
Serizawa let out a shudder. âLike I took a shot of brandy.â
âGood.â Reigen grinned. âThat means itâs working.â
He continued unpacking the mountain of supplies. Vapor rub, a small electric humidifier, movie DVDs, more vegetable even packs of noodles and spice containers already opened from his own apartment. The hands normally furiously gesturing in the air were now adept at separating, organizing, and readying everything. Serizawa felt himself growing a bit dizzy at it all.
âReigen-san.â
âDonât start that.â Reigen looked over, now finished. âThis is far cheaper than a stay at the clinic anyway.â A clap of his hands. âAlright! Letâs get you off your feet.â
Serizawa couldnât object to being helped back to bed. A few more pillows wouldnât hurt either.
âNo, not there.â
The sudden stop caused Serizawa to stumble but he was caught under the shoulder.
âI meant the couch.â Reigen forced a grin as he bore far too much dead weight. âC-come on. Itâs just a bit further.â
Serizawa didnât mean to, but the dizziness was starting to really get to him. So much congestion and needing to take short breaths left him grateful for the assistance. Now sitting, he brought a hand to his temples to try and alleviate some of the pressure while the room spun around him.
âWh- why not the bed?
Frowning over at the one pillow, Serizawa just wanted to cocoon under his blankets and go to sleep. The sweating had returned and he wrapped his arms around himself as he began to shiver.
Reigen had walked away but now returned with more pillows and started to form a mound with them at the far side of the couch.
âHere, lay back but keep sitting. That will help the cough and let you eat.â
A grumble. Serizawaâs stomach protested at just the mention of food. âI donât think I can eat.â
More pillow adjustment as Serizawa sat back, legs finally resting on the couch. He was going to complain more about the many fun times he had in his bathroom but a blanket was tossed over him. A grunt as he pulled it around himself and off his face.
âThatâs wool.â Reigen had returned to the table but still spoke over his shoulder. âItâs not going to get soaked from your fever sweats and should keep you from overheating as well.â He returned with the little humidifier and got it plugged in and active. âAnd youâll be able to keep the food down.â Their eyes met. âTrust me.â
Serizawa breathed in some of the warmed mist. At first a sneeze but his throat and airways slowly turned from raw and burning to a soothing dampness. He looked up to try and cough out a thank you but Reigen had already set his sights on the kitchen.
Pans, knives, a bit of oil, spices- the man knew where everything was. Soon water was boiling but Serizawa couldnât smell what was cooking. Judging by the vegetables and large pot he assumed it was some kind of soup. Carrots were peeled with potatoes and onions chopped up all together while the waste and skins went into the pot to start forming a stock.
Serizawa watched with hooded eyelids, no longer dizzy just exhausted. He himself never got too skilled at cooking and cracked a smile watching the master at work. But how did Reigen even learn this when he ate fast food and instant noodles so much? Images and thoughts blurred together as Serizawa closed his eyes and slipped into an uneasy state between dreaming and being awake.
âAlmost forgot!â
When he opened his eyes again there were several things cooking and stewing on his small stove now. Reigen was smiling down at him holding Serizawaâs phone.
âHere watch this.â It took a bit for Serizawa to properly take the phone with shaking hands but Reigen remained patient. âThe kids all recorded a happy birthday thing for you.â
âOh.â Serizawa tried to focus his eyes. âThanks.â
âThe soup needs more time so in the meanwhile Iâm gonna wash your bedding and do some laundry.â Reigen already had a heap of blankets and sheets in his arms. âThereâs some pills and a glass of water on the table, itâll stop your stomach from going sour again.â
âWait, Rei-â
Too late. The man was already out the door. His laundry? Serizawa felt terrible. His own boss tending to him like a spoiled child: cooking, cleaning, everything. A little visit would have been enough but this felt wrong. Would this be coming out of his paycheck? Even if his mom was here performing the same chores heâd feel just as guilty. Still, he was glad for the help despite his embarrassment.
After downing the pills, he settled in again, the phone screen glowing back at him as he pressed play.
âHEY SERIZAWA.â
Shou appeared in frame only to be playfully pushed out of the way by Teru.
âHappy birthday!â
Ritsu poked his head in. âYeah, happy birthday.â
Then the camera focused on Mob. He gave a little wave. âHappy birthday, Serizawa.â
Tome was yelling something in the background. The only word that got through was âpartyâ.
âYeah! Donât worry about missing anything!â Shou took over again. âYou can always move your birthday!â
âNo you canât.â Ritsu mumbled from the side.
âI meant the party!â
There came the sounds of a scuffle. Pens and papers flew into the air as Mob stood in frame expressionless while he observed something off screen. After a bit, Teru refocused the shot.
âAnyway, we wanted to wish you a speedy recovery.â
Mob poked his head over Teruâs shoulder and spoke softly despite all the commotion going on in the background. âWhen you get better, we can go to that karaoke place again.â
âKaraoke!â And once again Shou forced himself into frame. âIâm so gonna get one of the Kageyamaâs up there singing just you wait!â
âPfff. You should at least go first.â Quipped back Teru.
Ritsu also chimed in. âOh Iâve heard it. Like a dying bird.â
And there went everyone back to arguing, save for Mob. He smiled a bit and looked into the camera.
âThis is getting a bit long so: Happy birthday once again! Hope you get over your cold too. Bye Serizawa!â
A few blurry fumbles before the video ended. There was a smile forming on Serizawaâs face throughout it all, but weariness also spread, leading to the phone and his hand to fall at his side. The throbbing headache faded away to much needed sleep mixing with memories of singing and drinking and laughter. Reigen sat next to him and grinned over. Canât look into his eyes but the tingle in his chest Serizawa could feel even through asleep lying with sore ribs and lungs from coughing so much. Then heâd see Reigenâs hand on the bar, fingers tapped as a tale was spun. Just reach for it. Itâs only a dream.
âKatsuya? Sorry to wake you.â
Serizawa cracked open one eye, mumbling something while the weight of reality pushed down on him once more. It took a bit for dizziness and focus to line up enough but in the end he was staring at a hand in his own. Was he still dreaming? He gave a weak squeeze back before noticing Reigen over him.
âHey, there you are.â
The soft smile and eyes without a hint of judgment. Serizawa lifted his other arm in his addled state, wanting nothing more than to rest his hand against Reigenâs face. A memory of them on this same couch together, shoulders pushing against the other from the limited space. It would have been so easy to reach around a waist and pull him in for a hug. His arm faltered at his own chest while he jerked, letting out a rough, wet series of coughs.
âSounds like you might need more syrup.â Reigen released the hand, concern on his face. âAt least your fever is down.â
Serizawa held his breath as a palm was placed on his forehead, the thumb tracing through his hair. Thoughts raced back and forth, colliding into to one another until all he was left with was a quiet calm, leaning into the touch. This is nice. His boss here taking care of him when he needed it. But why did he feel so tense still? Muscles and thoughts always resisting. Serizawa let out a raspy exhale.
What had his mother said? Â
âDonât give me that face. Just because youâre all grown up now doesnât mean you wonât need help from time to time. Never think of yourself as undeserving.â
Serizawa smiled up weakly at Reigen. âThank you.â He had to take another breath in before continuing. âFor all of this.â
A soft grin back, Reigenâs hand still gently resting on Serizawaâs forehead.
âNo problem, big guy. Now!â He stood up, clapping his hands together, but Serizawa could see his red face. âI got your bed all set up and clean; however, you should really get some fluids and food in you before sleeping. Howâs your stomach?â
âSurprisingly well.â Serizawa sat up a bit against the pillows, rubbing at his gut. The only pain there now was from hunger. âIâd like to try eating.â
âGood!â
Reigen turned toward the kitchen. The sounds of clacking plates and pouring liquids could be heard. Though still unable to smell, Serizawa remembered all the fresh vegetables and licked his lips, stomach complaining right along with his brain. The last time he had anything stay down must have been over two days ago, and that had been instant noodles.
âTada!â Reigen knelt down with a tray, revealing its contents with a flourish of his hand. âHappy Birthday!â
A few lit candles were stuck in some peanut butter plopped between plain, salted crackers. Right next by sat a bowl of steaming soup with some fancy fishcakes floating amid chunks of vegetables and noodles. Reigen had even decorated the plate with shiny paper and crude origami animals he must have practiced just before coming over.
âWell- itâs not a proper cake and everything.â Reigen was grinning down but avoiding eye contact. âBut you probably shouldnât be eating that kind of stuff anyway. Not in your state.â
Serizawa felt warmth against his belly as the tray was placed down. He took up the spoon after a long inhale at the vapors trailing up. For a moment he could smell a bit of spices but mainly just basked in the pleasant sensation of it all.
âItâs wonderful, Reigen-san.â
A quick huff and smoke now rose from the small, colorful candles.
âDid you make a wish?â
Serizawa looked over the decorated tray of food again before glancing up at his boss hovering over him.
âYeah.â He smiled warmly. âHope it comes true soon.â
Reigen rubbed the back of his head, turning to look back at the kitchen.
âOh! I forgot the tea!â
Reigen returned with a mug and set it at the side table. Beaming, he sat down at the opposite table waiting for a response. Serizawa started with a few spoonfuls of broth but soon went straight for some carrots and noodles with some of the fish cakes. The crackers were a bit annoying to chew compared to the steamed vegetables so he had only few, making sure to get his protein in with the peanut butter. After only five minutes, the bowl was empty along with the tray and the tea half gone.
Serizawa let out a pleased sigh. Not a stomach cramp in sight. Now full of food, he started to feel even wearier. He closed his eyes for a moment as Reigen cleaned up the dishes and returned.
âHa. Guess youâre ready for a good rest.â Reigen held down his hand in offering. âCome on, Iâll help you over.â
There was a mild struggle to get Serizawaâs legs cooperating again until they settled on Reigen bending down a bit with the larger manâs arm slung over shoulders and neck like a drunk being escorted home. Serizawa still felt the annoying spells of dizziness so the going remained slow. Suddenly he froze, covering his mouth after letting out a weak cough.
âReigen-san!â
Reigen looked up. âCrap, you ok? Donât have to puke or anything?â
âN-no!â Serizawa pulled back but still couldnât support his own weight. âI just realized! Iâm going to get you sick too!â He turned his head away. âIâm so sorry.â
âHeh.â A nudge from Reigenâs arm. âWhy do you think I closed the office? And brought so much food and medication? And that soupâs not going anywhere. Made about two dayâs worth. Plus snacks.â
Serizawa kept his hand over his mouth. âReigen-san.â
âCome on.â Reigen forged ahead. âYou need your rest to get any better.â
There was already a bit of swelling in the manâs eyes with some minor sniffles between words. Serizawa flopped into the bed, rolling onto his back now as sore and tired as heâd ever been, yet sated with nutrients and medication garnering a feeling of a coming recovery instead of more suffering. Reigen fluffed up the pillows before bringing the blankets up while he failed to suppress a cough.
âThere we go. All tucked in.â
Serizawa watched his boss smile. Reigen was still leaning down, hand feeling against his employeeâs neck and forehead again. Nerves danced sleepily at the touch and Serizawa felt a flutter in his hands and chest.
âFever still feels down.â Reigen started to pull his fingers away. âNeed anything else?â
Serizawa took the hand, keeping it just above his face. His grip was light around the wrist while he slowly pulled his boss closer, eyes flicking up to meet flush cheeks and a shocked yet willing expression.
âWh- you alright?â
Another arm reached out, trembling fingers lingering inches from the back of Reigenâs neck before resting there, waiting. Serizawa could feel Reigen giving into the suggestion, leaning ever closer. Their eyes closed and their lips met; the hand in Serizawaâs grip twitching as heâd force himself forward, wanting more, only to be pushed back with the same need. A gentle caress at his face, the bed creaking when Reigen supported himself with a knee. His taste came back along with being able to smell: a mix of Reigenâs cheap cologne and his heated, desperate breathes. Â After a few moments they separated, faces still close, both quivering from the sensation.
âHa. Haa.â Breathing hard, Reigen appeared exhausted, still leaning down with his knee and arm keeping him from collapsing.
âArataka?â
A sneeze, Reigen turning his head away before he suffered through a brief coughing fit. When he looked back his face was beet red.
âWell. Thatâs one way to get inoculated.â His entire form was tense, showing in the edges of his smile. âGuess Iâm staying here for a few days.â
He stepped back, eyes darting from side to side while stealing glances at Serizawa lying on the bed. Normally animated hands now sat still with one slowly rising to grip his chest no doubt feeling the heart there beating frantically.
Serizawa let out a chuckle before holding up the blanket. âWanna join me? He found himself saying. âItâs warm, and the couch is pretty uncomfortable.â
Now one of Reigenâs hands was rubbing against his face. âYes.â He whispered. âLet me take some cough syrup first.â
He downed a cup like a nervous bachelor at a party. Time moved in slow motion as Reigen crawled over Serizawa, settling in against the wall with part of his body resting on the man he had just cared for. A pleasant weight as they laid there, breathing gradually slowing in each otherâs arms. Serizawaâs entire body was soaked in bliss from his heart to his stomach, all dancing together. He had started to drift off before feeling Reigen snuggling his shoulder and neck. Never having someone with him in bed before, he was content with cuddling until falling asleep. Still, he knew the illness would hit the worst in a few days and turned, pulling his boss closer.
âCome here.â Serizawa made sure the blanket was fully wrapped around them both. He blushed when Reigen buried his face in his chest. âThank you for coming over. Iâm starting to feel better already.â His hand pet through Reigenâs hair. âGuess Iâll have to take care of you now.â
A few muffled words, Reigen refusing to show his face, but the initial tense muscles had melted away to happy acceptance. Serizawa left it at that, closing his eyes and drifting towards sleep while wreathed in the warm and comfort of anotherâs hold. Before his brain fully committed he heard Reigenâs voice against his chest.
âHappy Birthday, Katsuya.â

just found out that the wonder the myth the legend Phantomrose96 author of A Breach of Trust has written many bnha fics.

Scene from Just Breathe by @ygodmyy20
"As Shigeo walks, his energy pools out from under his feet, aura black like spilled ink with highlights of blue and purples. It coils around his body, covering him as he fades into the shadows of the street around them. Ritsu follows suit, concealing his powers before he flickers away from view, completely invisible."
