absolution was so funny. the whole squad was just a trainwreck 24/7. we got livia running around with her 'i can do what i want' permit and the rest of the squad's reaction progressing from 'livia don't you dare use legavo, hey! livia, i'm talking to you, oh my god there she goes again' to 'livia use legavo right now!!! ahhhhhhh!!!! livia please!!!', and then anise having a nervous breakdown because her mursaat boy toy died and the livia thing is giving her an ulcer, and isgarren continuing to make everything about himself and have a hissy fit every .0005 seconds, and the commander whose career as a junior chef and fish gutter was cut short by all this nonsense and now has to play The Adult for a group of ancient morons having petty drama (with occasional help from waiting sorrow at least), and poky is just there watching and eating popcorn, and bengt tovasson whoever the fuck he is just showed up and is like haha what the fuck this is the best job ever

and then mabon shows up and is like oh you guys lol

a lot of the times it can be aggravating working with ppl who are so conservative but sometimes they have their funny moments bcs i went down to ED for the trauma admit & im doing my bidness & then im exiting the room to the doc box to handle my techno bidness, & the night ED physician sighs, turns to look at me with tired eyes, & im expecting to hear him venting abt having a ton of critical patients at 312 am bcs it was crazy, but instead he says with the most defeated tone ever,

' there was a They. in my Book.'

& proceeded to vent about how The They didn't even serve a purpose in the narrative, didn't even move the story along. just was there. making it difficult to read grammatically

The kambal's masks

Something that wasn't detailed in the animated series was the history and nature of the kambal's masks. I wonder if Alex ever uses the masks to communicate with Crispin and Basilio during battles? It could be an aspect of why Team Trese is always in sync when fighting.

I was looking back recently and let me just say,

As a bbh fan who started watching dsmp during the eggpire (i was first hooked by the animations but honestly its bbh that made me stay for so long) and now a qsmp fan,

It is So satisfying to see people being so respectful to him. Like its just makes me so happy to see him and his little demon of a character get taken seriously and even seen as beloved by so many people

Like i still feel upset by how disregarded the eggpire was by even the other ccs so it makes me happy to see other ccs and even ccs that didnt know him before be so hyped by him and for his skills to be recognised.

I have lots of emotions about this sorryy

when people say "wow i didnt know bad was good at rp/funny/entertaining" im like NEWSFLASH!! HE'S BEEN LIKE THIS THE ENTIRE TIME! im so glad qsmp gave him an opportunity to show off his rp skills once more. when i scroll through the qsmp tag, theres bbh content!! its crazy!!! he's in the big animatics!!! he's got ao3 fics!

both ccs and viewers miss out sooo much on bad's charm cause they think the funniest thing he can muster is just repeating "language". and it's so gratifying to finally see more people actually understand why his viewers watch him

(Only because at first thoughts I see her as a bit more make do/practical than Marcille, and that mind reading and being around Laudna would have adjusted her perspective of 'gross' things)

So since people wanted the short rant then the fanfic about my OC. Here's the short rant. This will be about her lore.

So my OC, MP, is my main OC. Her lore is basic and kinda simple, however it still gave her trauma because what's a OC without trauma.

In around her late teens, she was walking home from a trip with her friends, and then she fell into the backrooms.

After traveling for some time she ends up on level 52, around a day before the Fun War* began. She offers to help the Partypoopers in the fun war and they fail.

She ends up getting bitten by a Partygoer and she transforms, only partially however. Which is the reason she wears the mask.

She also likes organs for being part Partygoer.

*The Fun War was an event that happened in level 52 of the Backrooms, the Fun War began on September 8 2020 and ended a day later. The Partypoopers lost the war and now they're extinct.

More childhood lore from Trese Lite: Postcard Book 1!

So, here’s another one of my fav postcards from the book. The card shows young Basilio receiving a cup of chichirya (chips/junk food) from a man named Mang TengTeng, with Crispin happily crossing the street towards them while holding two bottles.

From context, Mang TengTeng seems to be a mangangalakal. In Philippines, this is someone who picks up junk like bottles, newspaper, cartons, and scrap metal to sell to the junk shop.

Anyway, the postcard had this message written on its back:

Dear Papa,

Mang TengTeng came by today. He brought some chichirya for us. After the Kambal finished their merienda, they rummaged through the scrap metal in the kariton. By the time I finished eating, they had crafted three different types of weapons. It really is in their nature to be destructive and wage war! I still doubt you and lolo made the right decision.

What I found interesting here, besides how adorable the Kambal are, was how they were able to create weapons incredibly fast and just from scraps. I love the idea that even though most of the weapons they wield now were made by the Metalero, they actually have the ability to craft their own. I like to imagine that the Kambal has their own workshop where they create various kinds of deadly experimental weapons as a hobby. I hope that we get to see them use their own crafted weapons in the future! They can definitely fight with martial arts if stripped off of their weapons but it’d be funny to see them insist on crafting a make-shift gun from junk just because they find it more fun to fight with weapons.

There’s also young Alex still voicing out how much she distrusts the two war gremlins and hates that they’re now her adopted baby brothers lol.

*Yes I know Lasky got audio logs in Halo Infinite from December 2559 but he just quoted Palmer and said a bunch of embarrassing boy scout shit for the Hope theme. I miss seeing his square little head and Palmer.
