basically, kuukou and sasara landed in ikebukuro still, they basically swapped entry points

🎋1️⃣ main points:

sasara comes to bukuro and after enjoying a very nice cream soda, stumbles upon ichiro beating someone up doing his debt collection rounds

ichiro 💯% would have targeted sasara next as to keep him quiet but sasara manages to run away lol

but sasara’s interest has been piqued like why on earth is some kid clearly doing dirty business???? and so friendly stalker sasara-san’s mission begins: get to know ichiro!!!!

eventually ichiro is worn down by sasara’s persistence lol and shares his story with him. sasara is similarly devastated to hear ichiro’s sob story just as sasara had been in canon listening to samatoki’s. and like pretty much everyone who comes into contact with ichiro, sasara decides to try and make ichiro’s life a little easier for him

naturally, sasara decides to overthrow the head of stairway to heaven 😃👍

the coup goes very well actually lol sasara joins stairway to heaven and quickly climbs the ranks with ichiro, all the while sowing seeds of betrayal within the group until he kicks mozuku out of his position and assumes head of the group with full support of everyone

sasara lets ichiro live his best life with his bros and ichiro himself implores sasara to let him know whenever he’s needed out of sheer loyalty to sasara doing this for him

and then begins sasara’s next chapter in life: how to get the hell out of being a criminal overlord lol

he does try to get ichiro to do comedy with him!! it goes surprisingly well, but that is because ichiro is his father’s son; very capable of forming himself into what he wants to be to accomplish something lol. however, sasara knows he can’t use ichiro as a comedy partner because ichiro’s would be too concerned about his brothers to follow him back to osaka

sasara does meet rei early in this au due to the very unexpected change in group heads lol to discuss hypnosis mic distribution and is very interested in ichiro’s new benefactor lol

🎋1️⃣ stairway to heaven for business, ‘comedic busters’ on the streets

🐴📿 main points:

kuukou lands in bukuro, falls asleep in a park and wakes up to the sounds of a street gang war going on in front of his salad him lol

kuukou helps out yagumo, samatoki’s then partner, and manages to stop samatoki from beating a person to death

it’s too bad it’s the tobari bros, known scum of the earth except to kuukou who just showed up, and as samatoki was very angrily getting that point across, said bros escaped to cause future trouble

kuukou then decides to follow samatoki around, in part because he wants to keep samatoki in check, and other parts he’s getting sus vibes from yagumo; something about the dude rubbed him the wrong way

shit goes down of course but instead of a spaghetti clown man bringing in reinforcements, it’s one man army harai kuukou jumping into the fray and with similar one man army samatoki-sama, they make quick work of the thugs and a new partnership is formed

their relationship is very volatile and intense tho; samatoki is challenged by kuukou telling him to think first, maybe things aren’t what they seem on the surface and kuukou is challenged by agreeing with samatoki that there’s a lot of trash in this world that needs to be rid of while believing in giving people the benefit of doubt and a chance for change

however, they’re two of the most fiercely loyal people in hypmic; all of their fire combining forged a very powerful bond

samatoki and kuukou also get into arguments about nemu lmao samatoki wants to protect her but kuukou’s mr ‘freedom’s not worth having if you can’t make mistakes’ lol

it’s a common misconception that nemu and kuukou are dating, since kuukou often comes by her school when she’s done to go try out dessert places (kuukou pesters samatoki into going to other places lol.) nemu always responds ‘but he’s the worst?????’ and kuukou goes ‘nah i like her brother too much to even think about it’ and everyone is too afraid to ask what he means by that lmao

samatoki has tried to throw hands with kuukou more than once because of these rumours lol

nemu has a love hate relationship with kuukou; she likes him because he’s very nice to hang out with, tries to keep samatoki off her back and gets samatoki stop with his more violent tendencies, but she also hates him because he also fuels samatoki’s violent tendencies and because he’s mad annoying lmao

they take over a good portion of bukuro not because of amazing organization (that i'm certain sasara was primarily in charge of in the mcd days lmao) but because they’re really attractive LOL like ask any of the gang, they’re here to follow samatoki’s kind leadership, kuukou’s enthusiasm to help, their amazing combined strength and to ogle their friendship; they’re akin to those big dog with a tiny kitten videos when they aren’t violently arguing lmao

kuukou does pick up some leadership experience going around checking up on their bases tho
