If you haven’t already, drop what you’re doing and watch Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle on Netflix!! It’s epic! Took me a while to warm up to it because of the CGI animals, ha, but you get over it reasonably fast. Now, I loved Disney’s remake, but that was definitely a remake of their version, and I wouldn’t describe it as more for kids, just more fun and upbeat, while this one is more dark and more reminiscent of the old film starring Sabu and the Chuck Jones animated Mowgli and His Brothers. Perhaps this one is true to the book too, but I only recently got it and haven’t read it yet.
