Whether you’re moving from another city or just across town, the Ultimate Moving Checklist will help you make sure you have everything you need to get your new home in order. This checklist provides an easy-to-follow guide to help you stay organized and on track during your move. From finding a moving company in twin city to setting up utilities, this checklist will help you get everything done with ease.
Packing Supplies You'll Need
When you’re preparing to move, you’ll need to make sure that you have all the necessary supplies. Depending on the size of your move, you may need to invest in boxes, packing tape, bubble wrap, and other packing materials. Start collecting boxes about a month before your move and use newspaper, towels, and sheets to protect your fragile items. Make sure that you have plenty of packing tape to keep your boxes sealed and secure for the move.
Important Documents to Gather
It’s important to make sure that you have all of your important documents on hand for the move. This includes any medical and school records, bank statements, and other important papers. Make sure to keep these documents in a safe place and keep a list of all the documents you need to transfer. This will help you keep track of the documents you need to move and make sure nothing gets left behind.
Transferring Your Utilities
Don’t forget to transfer your utilities to your new address. This includes your electricity, water, gas, internet, and phone services. Make sure to contact your service providers to make sure that your services are transferred to your new address. You’ll also need to make sure that you update your address with the post office so that your mail is sent to the right address.
Connect with Movers
Once you’ve gathered all of your supplies and documents, it’s time to connect with movers. Research different Twin City movers to find the right one for your move. Make sure to ask them about their services and their rates to make sure that you’re getting the best deal. Get a written estimate from the movers and read through their contract carefully.
Change Your Address
Once you’ve connected with movers, it’s time to officially change your address. You can do this online or by visiting your local post office. Make sure to change your address with your bank, credit card companies, and other important institutions. You can also have your mail forwarded to your new address so that you don’t miss any important mail.
Create an Inventory List
Take the time to create an inventory list of all the items you’re planning to move. This will help you keep track of your items and make sure that nothing gets lost during the move. Include a description of each item and its condition before the move. This will help you make sure that all of your items are accounted for and that you receive the appropriate compensation for any lost or damaged items.
Prepare Your Appliances
If you’re moving large appliances such as a refrigerator or washing machine, you’ll need to make sure that you prepare them for the move. Make sure to clean and empty out your appliances before the movers arrive. You may also need to disconnect some of the wiring before the appliances can be moved. Ask your movers for help if you’re unsure of how to prepare your appliances for the move.
Clean Your Home
Finally, make sure to clean your home before you move. This will help you get your deposit back from your old home and make sure that your new home is clean when you arrive. Vacuum, sweep, and mop the floors, wipe down surfaces, and make sure that all of your items are packed and ready to move. Taking the time to clean your house will make the moving process smoother and more efficient.
Conclusion
Moving to a new city can be a daunting task, but with the Ultimate Moving Checklist for your Twin City Move, you can make it a stress-free process. ❝ IN BETWEEN ❞
Agatha Harkness x Reader
Tumblr media
Requested: Yes.
Summary: Wanda Maximoff's younger sister seems to have no place in the hex besides Agatha’s side.
Warnings: Fluffy; a bit of angst. My poor writing. I love Wanda but needed to portrait her like this for the plot. English not being my first language.
Word count: 1.2K.
Y/N Maximoff was a delight. A lively, powerful, rebellious, and carefree creature that echoed as someone so different from her older siblings. At least, that was the image Agatha Harkness had of her since the first time stepping into Wanda's made-up reality. A sweet little thing, ready to be made hers.
The younger witch didn't have a coherent part into that small city her sister held captive. Pietro has been dead for years, and even with Agatha’s poor casting of someone in his place, the Scarlett Witch held more care in her eyes for him than to Y/N. Her real and alive little sister. Agatha felt the need to protect you. To gather you into her own arms and never let go.
"Hey, Agnes. What's up?" The sweet voice of the youngest Maximoff elated her as Agatha stood by Wanda and Vision's door with a bottle of wine and what looked like a food container.
"Heard the Maximoffs were out and about. I decided to pay my favorite girl a visit." She stepped in, not caring to be invited. "Who in their right mind would leave such a pretty pet alone?"
Y/N's laugh scaped as her hand pushed the door closed. Agnes was the only happiness the move to Westview brought her. Yet, she couldn’t bring herrself to remember why she had decided to live with Wanda.
"I think you're the only one who thinks that way, Aggy."
The Maximoff's body flopped down on the couch as Agatha roamed around the kitchen she's been in many times before. Now, with the late nineties aesthetic, it felt easier to find what she needed to open the bottle.
"Why do you think so, dear?", Agnes asked, waltzing back into the living room with two glasses of red wine.
She reached for one, eyes now dedicated to gaze at the company for the night. "Oh, you know." Y/N moved her hand gently around her, and Agatha could swear whips of magic erupted from them in frustration. "Wanda is out with Vision, the boys and Pietro. The Maximoff's outing. Yet, here I am. Barely part of the family."
As Y/N grumbled, sipping the wine, Agatha smiled against the rim of her own glass, mind rapidly working.
"Oh, sweet girl. They love you. You know that. Wanda would never choose to leave you behind."
Her words seemed to wake something inside Y/N’s mind. As her eyes locked into Agnes', the young witch frowned, memories of Sokovia and the Maximoff twins leaving their younger sister in the hands of Hydra agents after fleeing. The puzzle pieces of memories also had the smell of burned cookies in the Avengers compound and Wanda grieving in the arms of a robot while Y/N suffered alone.
But just as they came, a stronger power pushed them out.
"Y/N?" She looked at Agnes."Where did you go?"
"Uhm..." She tried piercing things together, but her mind felt blank. "What were we talking about?"
"Wanda?"
"Oh, right." she sipped on the wine again. "You're right. She wouldn't choose that."
The happiness in your voice made Agatha’s stomach hurt. She thought for a moment that something inside you had remembered.
"Yes, sweetie. She wouldn't."
Agatha's inside twisted and turned. That precious girl, with the most mesmerizing eyes and bright personality was just another refugee of the excuse of a Scarlett Witch that was being written.
She scoffed at the thought, bitterness seeping from her mouth. The sound made Y/N look at her, the thick alcohol sliding down her throat. Her gaze was questioning, but Harkness' eyes were fixed on the movements she did to swallow. For a moment, as Agatha tried to look up at her eyes, a ghost of necessity lingered above her shoulders.
Y/N smiled then, and for the first time since meeting the younger Maximoff, she felt obsessed.
( . . . )
That feeling didn't vanish... or even subsided. In fact, it only grew stronger.
Agatha would stop by the Maximoff's home every day to bring the girl a sense of comfort and, almost always, she would be alone, playing the part of the perfect, quiet sister that hardly ever made Wanda lose her mind. Forgotten. Misplaced. A secondary part that no one actually cared about.
But Agatha did. And Agnes was always there.
There were many reasons as to why she wanted to play along Wanda's game. To pursue her. To enlighten her. To...steal her. But when looking at Y/N, all of that seemed so small in comparison. And even inside that wrecked reality of Wanda's, somehow, Y/N had enough of free will to choose to fall in love with Agnes.
"Argh, i wanna cry." Y/N cried out in another wine date. In Agnes' home, the effect of Wanda was not so overwhelming. The woman could, actually, feel something real.
"Cry? Why?" Agatha questioned, trying to reach for her. The space between them grew smaller by the time they saw each other. Now, on the same couch, Agnes' hands were stopped by Y/N, who quietly guided them to both sides of her face. The vulnerability on her irises pained Agatha as her thumbs caressed Y/N's cheeks. "Darling, what's it? Tell me."
Y/N closed her eyes, pouting as if she was really fighting the urge to cry. Maybe devouring two bottles of wine by her side wasn't a good idea.
"It's just..." She mumbled, only opening her eyes when Agatha held her a bit closer, almost touching their noses. Y/N felt as if she couldn't breathe. Her entire world crumbled when looking at Agnes like that. "You're so pretty, Aggy. And you're always here for me. And...and when you are this close, I feel like the only thing I want in this world..." She breathed out in a full smeared sentence. "Is to have you all to myself."
Agatha's digitals tingled with the need to sink her fingers and merge her skin with Y/N's. In all the centuries of her life, not once the sensation of such primal need crumbled the ever so calculatedly built walls of her existence. She eyed her with confusion, but then, with love. Y/N didn't need a second time to wonder what that meant when her lips crashed down onto hers. The sweet kiss was firstly a mere touch, but when the Maximoff's insides twisted and her fingers slid against the ones on her face, Agatha pulled her closer. There was an almost bestial growl that scaped the older woman, but her fingers gently stroke the other, bringing her in.
When they parted, their foreheads touched. Agatha had a smile that could light up the whole city of Westview. Y/N saw it up close, laughing slightly as she pressed the tip of her nose against Agnes'.
"Are you laughing at me, Dove?"
The nickname made Y/N raise an eyebrow, but that didn't stop her hand from cupping the nape of Agatha’s head, nails slightly running against it.
"I'm laughing with you." She answered, pecking Agatha's lips again. "I thought it would take you longer to kiss me."
"Were you betting how long i would take?"
"I was actually betting on how long I would take lose my patience. "
"If you knew I also liked you, why didn't you take the lead, Dove?" Agatha's hand took a strand of Y/N hair into her hands, twisting it. "Are you that stubborn.
"Don't you know me?"
Agatha laughed as she gazed at Y/N. There was a lot she didn't actually know about her, but she was okay to find out. Preferably outside her sister's influence, a problem the witch would have to figure out how to deal now. One thing she was sure: no matter what, she wouldn't let Wanda take you apart.

Hello , I hope you’re doing well 🫶🏻
Me and my family need your help to survive from genocide in gaza, here our goFundMe link just read our story and help us if you can or just share it, we appreciated everything you would do.
https://gofund.me/38cab03b
Hello, I'm Khader Abu Sha'ban, and I'm 20 years old, I have a twin brother his name is Ragheb, and we are from Gaza City, We started the second year of our degree (designing and programming mobile applications). We live with a family of 9 members, they are all educated and have university degrees in the fields of engineering, programming, information security, administration, and law, We are the youngest in the family and we are the only ones who are still learning and we didn't end our degree yet.
Tumblr media
Don't forget our beautiful cat - Kelwa – whom we consider a family member and we adopted him during the war when he was homeless in the street, however, he filled our lives with joy.
Tumblr media
Before October 7th, Our life was full of goals, ambitions, and hope. and because we are identical twins I and my brother share everything in life and we have the same hobbies, actually we have the same life So we practice sports such as football, table tennis, and basketball and we are professionals in video games. we spend our time learning English next to our university education in the field where we found our passion which is Programming, and we have a small online store (Candles Store) to sell candles that we manually made. We have a goal to finish our university life as fast as we can to join the labor market of IT and open our startup company for techniques and applications with the great passion that we already have. this dream is growing day by day, but because of the war and the current circumstances, the dream started to fade, during the war educational institutions and Universities were destroyed in Gaza and the study was arrested. during the previous 8 months we have been unable to complete our education and estimates indicate that restoration of university status in Gaza will take time and may exceed years. The war came and destroyed our lives, our dreams, and our souls, My family did not decide to displacement to the south, despite all the suffering we had passed during this period and we decided to stay at home and not leave the beautiful memories, the idea of displacement to south and go to an unknown place that we don't have any relatives there was the most difficult for us to leave everything and not return back, so the decision was steadfast, non-displacement and patience on the suffering, but the war has been partially damaged our house because of targeting the house next to us, and damaged our beautiful memories and become ineffective to live, but thank God no one of my family has been hurt. The house went and we lost a lot of our beloveds (14 members of my cousins) and witnessed a lot of suffering in Gaza we were forced to internally-displacement east and west more than 5 times and it was very difficult to escape under the shelling at night and under The voices of aircraft and bombing and moving from a non-safe place to another non-safe place and don't forget the starvation that we still live in northern Gaza and dumping bombs, rockets and insecure until life became black for us. We won't forget the night of December 18th, when we lived the most terrifying night in our lives when we woke up at night to the voices of bombs and shells of nearby tanks and the glass and shrapnel on us, and I do not forget the voices of crying and the sounds of the SOS and we are unable to move even unable to breathe because of the hole of the smoke bombs that have thrown on us, I swear the horror of this night will accompany me to the last day My life. The horror of this night is repeated daily and there is no end and life has already black for us, after all this suffering we have reached a plan to rebuild the rest of our lives again elsewhere after we lost our house and members of my family as well as we lost the source income of my family this led us to seek help through this campaign, the raised funds will cover travel expenses for 9 people outside Gaza (where the travel coordination costing $ 5,000 per person) and $ 5,000 for addition costs for initial stability Abroad and $ 5000 initial amount to complete the study abroad for me and my brother. If the situation improves in Gaza we will use funds to restore our house and complete our education in Gaza or abroad, according to appropriate conditions.
These brothers have been raising funds since May and they've only received €678 so far. Please share and donate. Help save lives !!!!!!!

50au Part 32
Donnie yawned and rolled over onto his plastron, stretching his arms and legs out comfortably. That was the best he'd slept in a while, even if he did have a nightmare.
It wasn't a big deal, just a little one about, you know, his dum dum twin hating him and forgetting them forever and…yeah.
Donnie groaned and buried his face in his pillow.
Okay, yeah, he wasn't going back to sleep after that. He might as well check on his twin and get some stuff done. He had a to-do list a mile long, most of it stuff he'd been neglecting while chasing Leo all over New York.
He rolled out of bed and pulled on a hoodie, shivering at the slight chill in the lair.
It was getting colder out, he'd need to do maintenance on the heater and make sure it didn't quit halfway through December like last year.
He yawned and trailed his way towards Leo's room. He'd removed the cameras after their…fight, and hadn't put them back up. They had only been up for necessity anyway, he didn’t want to invade Leo's privacy when he didn't have to.
So, physically poking his head into his room to make sure he was safe was the next best thing.
The lights were off in Leo's room, which was good. He needed to sleep and heal that leg of his, and he hadn't been sleeping well since the invasion. He'd slept better the last two weeks than he had in a long time, and Donnie would know.
He was usually keeping Leo company, after all, since he usually couldn't sleep either.
Donnie went to knock on the door,  but thought better of it. He didn't wanna accidentally wake Leo if he was really sleeping. Instead, he slowly opened the door, the metal creaking as it moved.
Another thing to add to his list: take some wd-40 to the hinges of Leo's door.
He only opened it far enough to poke his head in, eyes adjusting in the dark. Leo had moved his TV back to its place at the end of his bed, his room a little messier now that everything was somewhat back to normal.
Donnie stared at the lump on the bed for a moment, waiting to see if it rose and fell with Leo's heavy breathing.
But it didn't.
At first, Donnie thought he just couldn't see that well because of the dark, so he inched closer to see if that helped. Still no movement.
He swallowed back that bad feeling in his throat and moved to shake Leo awake, grabbing his shoulder and jostling him.
Except, it wasn't Leo. The lump on the bed that he’d been convinced was his brother was just some pillows and blankets piled into a vaguely Leo shape.
Donnie blinked in surprise at the form.
Did this…could the curse have not actually been broken? Could it somehow have come back!?
Maybe Leo ran because he'd just been waiting for his opportunity. Maybe he'd been pulling a 50 first dates move and writing in a journal, but instead of him writing about his family he was writing about how they were lying and they'd trapped him here and-
No. No, that couldn't be it. They'd gotten rid of the curse. And..and Leo just did shit like this sometimes. Especially after he was cleared to leave the med bay. Nights Donnie wasn't knocking on his door were spent elsewhere. Donnie knew cause he watched the tracker bounce around the map before landing on a beach, or in the Hidden City, or on a random rooftop of New York.
It had bothered him before, sure, but they talked about it. They talked about it and Leo said he'd tell Donnie if he was going anywhere dangerous, or if he needed help or if- but what if he didn't know it was dangerous or couldn't tell them in time and
Donnie groaned in frustration, clenching his fists hard and willing himself not to spiral into worrying about things he wasn't supposed to worry about anymore.
He needed to be logical about this and not freak out!
Fact, Leo was gone.
Fact, Leo had just gotten uncursed and knew who they were.
Fact, Leo did have his swords. But he was injured.
Donnie took a deep breath, though it did little to actually make him feel better. But he at least could find out where Leo was.
He hurried to his lab, booting up his computer and navigating to the minimized tracker window. He'd kept it open even after they lifted the curse, just in case something happened.
Something like his dum-dum twin running away in the middle of the night to go do god-knows-what!
“ Deep breath, ‘Tello, you can panic after you've found him,” He breathed, eyes focusing on the little blue dot on the map. He was in the Hidden City.
Donnie zoomed in.
He was at Run of the Mill.
Donnie glanced at the top right of the screen, to where every vital he could thinl of was displayed for each of them. He'd even updated it to include Casey Jr, though he had yet to get a tracker on the kid, and he wouldn't be back for another week or so.
He watched Leo's vitals for a moment. Everything seemed…normal. Heartbeat was steady, and he seemed to be relaxed and content. Which was…that was good.
Until his pulse began to pick up and his tracker stuttered in place for a moment.
And then it didn't move again, like he was stuck, like he was…he was trapped somehow and Donnie had to get him out.
“BECAUSE MY FAMILY WOULDN’T HAVE LET THIS HAPPEN!”
Leo's voice echoed in his head and Donnie reeled away from the screen, nearly tripping over his chair in his haste. He hurried back to his room, pulse thudding against his plastron. He didn't know what his plan was, exactly, but he knew he couldn't let something like that happen again.
He grabbed his goggles, his wrist tech and geared up, before heading out as fast as he could towards Run of the Mill.
He wasn't going to let anything happen to Leo again.
--
hrmm the next two parts are..hrm. iffy on quality. biut this is really just an outline, so whatever :) I'm kinda starting to lose the thread a little so I am gonna try and wrap this up in a couple more parts. That's always been an issue with me is that I tend to lose stuff like symbolism/what the story is really about when I'm starting to get near the end. So the next few parts might not be super great <3
I hope you all enjoy regardless! Also i am taking name suggestions for when it becomes an actual fic.

Choose an angel figurine! Your future child
(When I'm talking about pregnancy, it can be you or your partner, you can swap the roles)
Pile 1
Note that I don't give medical advices. But I think it will take a little longer to get pregnant than you expected. Or maybe you don't plan to have a baby at that time, because you will be busy, maybe because of work, but I think you will move in together with your partner or move to another city at this time. Maybe you tried to get pregnant for a few months and than you will focus to another thing, probably this moving, and bumm, you will be surprised to find out that you are pregnant. So it's a little unexpected. Maybe you just need to let it go, you know, let go of the pressure and it will happen. I think if you doubt yourself before, during the pregnancy you will be just happy and you will honestly like your body. I see a cozy scene, you sit near the fireplace or in a garden and reading a pregnancy book. So when the baby arrives, you will be more confident in your ability to take care of everything. But in the beginning you probably have a little nausea and dizziness, after that first trimester you will feel so much better. I see you drinking a lot of water, and it will help you a lot. Maybe you or your partner travel because of work, and the other will travel with them, with the baby. So you will travel a lot with the baby, show them the world, take them to trips, camping, go to the zoo, to an amusement park, really spend a lot of fun time together. This child will be a unique person, a little bit of a free spirit. Really charming, everybody will like them. Happy, optimistic, fun. Probably will be a leader type. Full of charisma, an extrovert, very smart. You will laugh together a lot. I think it's more likely a boy.
Pile 2
There is a high chance to have twins. Or twins and a boy maybe, so I think you will have a rather big family, at least 3 children. Somehow the father figure is very strongly present here, so the father will probably there when the mother give birth. And he will make sure to provide everything to the children too, but for the mother too. He will literally spoil the mother during the pregnancy. You will feel like it's a very very big change in your life, maybe you will feel like you are not ready to have children or especially 3 of them, and maybe the age difference will be small between the siblings, so I think you will be a little worried at the beginning. But things will work out just fine. Maybe there is a grandfather too who will help you, or a grandmother but with strong personality. You need to be patient with the kids, because I feel both of them - or the twins-will be a little impatient and really curious, they want to know everything, want to see everything, want to climb everywhere. They have a lot of energie. They are brave. I think they will be very smart, probably go to college, one of them can be someone who speaks before a crowd, a public speaker, teacher, something like that. Probably a leader type. Very charming, funny. The other can be good at sports, very honest and straightforward. They will have a lot of friends, they will be popular. When they get a little older, they will be more calm, and wise. I think it's a boy and a girl, and if it's 3 children, probably 1 more boy, more masculine energy here.
Pile 3
You will get married with your partner, probably a traditional marriage and a traditional household. I feel a lot of fertility here but somehow don't think it's a very big family. A boy probably, and maybe a girl too. You will be very creative with your children, a lot of drawings, handmade things. A lot of activity together. Movie nights, board games, trips. You will really enjoy each others company. A lot of time in the nature for sure. But I think you will require things from them, but still have a balanced relationship. You will take time to understand them, so even if you have rules for them, you will be fair and understanding. I think you will feel complete because of motherhood. I feel your home will be very stable, a warm home, like when you go to grandma and she has cookies and a warm smile for you, that kind of feeling. One child is a little sweetheart, likes animals, friendly, but you need to pay attention because she can be a little sensitive and daydream a lot. I think it's a girl. And the boy is confident, brave, energetic, an extrovert, funny. But he can be a little forgetful sometimes or chaotic. The pregnancy can be balanced, so there will be some symptoms and it can be hard and tiring, but there will be very good days too. In the end you will feel like it was worth it absolutely. I feel a lot of nature, so I think you will live in the countryside or suburbs, somewhere quieter and the children will like it very much. And the mother and father here are very balanced, you will work together really well as parents.

It's been a long five hours.
Especially when you're stuck in the car with your parents and your two twin little brothers, the latter of which seemed to especially enjoy screaming their heads off like the rest of the family didn't have ears attached to their heads.
And after walking for a good 30 minutes with heavy gear to find a good spot and then setting up half of the gear on your own - including wrangling your giant tent - you were exhausted.
"Hey mom - I'm just going to go down to the stream, okay? I'll be back soon." You say, poking your head into the tent where your mom was, and she nods, smiling at you.
"Go ahead, sweetheart, just don't go too far, okay?"
You roll your eyes teasingly and nod. "I won't mom, thanks!"
Making your way down the path by where you set up camp, you find the stream you noticed earlier.
The sun is only now starting to dip below the horizon, making you feel at ease as you sit down beside a tree, resting your back against it and leaning your head back to rest on its trunk, closing your eyes and you bask in the sounds of nature.
It's not silent, but it's quiet, a soothing quiet that lets your mind relax further and further and you relish in the feeling of being alone.
Snap!
Jolting up, your head whips around, searching for the source of the sound until your eyes come into contact with a pair of wide violet ones.
"O-Oh!" you say, surprised. "H-Hi."
It comes out a little more awkward than you intended, but you can't help but stare at the boy across the stream, with pretty white hair and a thick black hoodie on, and you can't help but wonder if he's sweating underneath.
He doesn't say anything, but there's no animosity, as he smiles as waves.
You smile back, and pat the ground next to you, offering a spot under the tree by your side.
The boy turns his head for a minute, looking back at the way he probably had come from, before cautiously stepping on the rocks, making his way over to you.
He plops down next to you, and points to the sky.
You smile. "Pretty, isn't it? It's been a while since I've seen a sky like this. We're from the city, so it's usually just really cloudy. Where are you from?"
The boy thinks, before leaning away momentarily to grab a stick, starting to write out letters in the sand.
"Hm? Oh!" You exclaim in understanding, leaning forward to see what he's written.
Watching as he carefully traces out letters in the dirt, you watching him form out the phrase “I’m from the city too.”
You look at him, surprised. "You are? Are you by Tokyo? That's where I'm from!"
The boy smiles and nods excitedly, quickening writing more in the dirt. "I go to school there!"
You grin, before you cover your mouth on surprise. "Oh god- I didn't even ask what your name was!" You exclaim, giving him your name with an embarrassed look on your face.
The boy laughs, and you feel your cheeks heat up a little. Who knew someone's laugh could be so...refreshing?
Writing in the dirt some more, you see him spell out "Toge Inumaki" , before circling the former of the two words.
You smile widely. "That's such a cool name! I'm assuming you want me to call you Toge?"
The white haired boy nods and you sigh happily, resting your head on the bark of the tree.
Being with Toge was a breath of fresh air. He was quiet, and frankly, you liked quiet. No, at this point you craved it. It was nice, being able to have the space to be able hear your own thoughts, while being in the company of someone else.
You and Toge would hang out everyday for the rest of the week, and you learned a lot about each other.
You learned that he was just a year older than you- 16. He loved tuna mayo onigiri - something you've never had before but were more than excited to try. Toge was a little offended when you had told him thought - drawing the biggest "x" in the dirt that he could and a small angry face right beside it.
It was Thursday, when you and Toge decided to sit by the stream for a bit, your fingertips lightly grazing the water's surface as you relishing in the slightly cold sting of the mild current caused by the rocks along its path.
Suddenly, you feel a tap on your shoulder, turning your head to see Toge writing something in the dirt.
"Do you think I'm weird because I can't talk?"
Your eyes widen in shock as your shake your head vehemently immediately, with such a sad look on your face that Toge feels a little guilty for asking in the first place.
"No of course not!" you exclaim, and you take his hands in yours. "Toge, I've known you for a total of four days and somehow I prefer your company more than some of the people I've known for years." You say, laughing despite the irony.
You sigh. "I have two little brothers - combined with living in the city, it's always so... loud." You smile at him.
"I can actually hear my thoughts for once whenever I'm around you." you say sincerely, and you can see the tips of Toge's ears take on a light pink tint. "I don't think you're weird for not being able to speak Toge. I'm more than happy with the you I have with me right now."
Toge grins back at you, a genuine, heartfelt smile, and you feel your heart flutter a little.
He brings his hands up, hooking his two index fingers interlocking them in a sort of sign.
You stare back at him, confused, as realization dawns upon him in his eyes, grabbing the stick to write out a word.
"Friend."
You feel your cheeks heat up and you smile. You're not sure what this feeling is, but you don't necessarily hate it. The feeling on something new.
"Forever?" you ask, feeling suddenly a little shy, but Toge nods, the smile almost permanently stuck on his face.
Forever.

Title: The (Last Name)'s
Fandom: Stardew Valley
Pairing: Sebastian x M.R x Sam
Warnings: None
Tumblr media
Everything was normal in Pelican Town. Well, until the new farmer moved into Pelican Town. Everyone was confused on why someone from the big city would move to their small town. Especially considering someone people wanted to leave the small town to the big city! They just didn't understand why.
Until they met the new farmer that is. According to Robin, the new farmer was Old (Last Name)'s grandson who had gotten tired of the big city, and wanted to finally wanted to settle down away from the nose and people. Everyone had many expectations and thoughts on how the new farmer would be. Although they were pleasantly surprised when they finally met him.
It didn't take long for (Name) to quickly become the biggest bachelor of Pelican Town. Everyone who was single wanted to be with (Name). They loved how sweet, generous, kind-hearted, and over all his bubbly and helpful personality quickly mad him the town favorite. (Name) was always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it.
He even helped remodel the Pelican Town Community Center. Which ultimately sent the Joja Company packing. Saving Pierre's business from Bankruptcy. He also helped Willy fix his boat, that originally belonged to Willy's grandfather. So you can imagine how happy he was when it was fixed.
Since the boat was fixed the people of Pelican Town was even able to start going to Ginger Island. Where (Name) found the sweetest little boy. That he later adopted with the permission and help of Mayor Louis. When Leo was comfortable enough he moved into (Name)'s farm house.
Although he had a tree house beside Linus's tent in the mountains. Leo also visited the Island some days. Luckily due to all the hard work, (Name) also has a farm and house on the Island. So they went to the Island quite often together.
Something nobody expected was for Sebastian and Sam to end up with the new farmer. It came to a huge surprise to the town people when the trouple got together. They had seen (Name) was close to them, but to think they were all three technically dating? It was something else honestly. They didn't mean anything bad about it.
They'd just haven't had something like this happen in Pelican Town before. But everyone saw how happy they were whenever they were all together. Especially (Name)'s best friend Abigail. She was even their best woman at their wedding. Which was honestly hard to do since you usually can't marry more then one person.
But Mayor Louis made it happen. (Name) had become something of a grandchild to Mayor Louis. Seeing how much happier Pelican Town has become thanks to (Name). He did all he could to help the boys dream to come true. The wedding was small but beautiful.
In a matter of month the new (Last Name) family had three parents and three children. Leo was extremely excited to be an older brother to a pair of twins that the trio adopted. They'd found the twins after one of the bands concerts in the city. There was a boy with blonde hair and (eye color) eyes, and a girl with (hair color) hair and brown eyes.
They were greatly surprised on how they looked like the trouple. It warmed their hearts. They thank Yoda everyday for the life they're living. Because they wouldn't change any of it for the world. Although they maybe wish Leo would stop teaching the twins how to speak bird. Becausenit was cute at first, but who wants to hear that being screamed into your ear at six in the morning.
Not them at least.

Three Hearts (Felix x Demetri x Reader One-Shot)
Request by @prettyinblack231
Summary: Two vampires, one human. It was unexpected that two of the Volturi’s most valuable guards would find themselves connected to a human, but fate threw you into their arms. They'd do anything for you and would go out of their way to protect and care for you. Is it purely platonic, though?
Warnings; None, safe as houses and filled with Softness. I guess a tag for polyamorous relationships but nothing “Oh my god there needs to be a warning!” ya feel me?
Tumblr media
Solitude was a gift and a curse at times.
A curse in the sense that on the off day you begin to feel low, your room felt almost like a prison, and you yearned to share the company with another living being.
However, you appreciated your alone time.
You also appreciated the company of your friends - particularly two red eyed men that managed to weave their way into your life.
The moment the two men came into your life was the moment you knew something special was about to happen. Something about Felix and Demetri drew you in. And unbeknownst to you, the feeling was very much mutual in all three parties.
The day had started out normal; you were to join Gianna in some errands for the castle. Nothing extravagant; just picking up some material for redoing the decor of the wives' tower. It was supposed to be a simple shopping trip. Until the clouds covered your little corner of Italy, bringing with them unwanted attention.
His eyes followed your figure through the window like a hawk from across the street, darkening with lust for your blood. Your blood sung to this unknown vampire like nothing he had ever experienced before, and he wanted a taste.
Leaving a shop with an armful of bagged material, you were laughing at something Gianna said about the twins.
"Don't let Jane hear you saying that!" You giggled, nudging her with your elbow.
Gianna was laughing along with you until she looked past your shoulder, and her smile faded. A frown appeared, her eyebrows knitting together as she narrowed her eyes at something across the street.
"Gianna, what-?" You turned around and followed her gaze, locking eyes with the vampire watching the two of you. Watching you.
You stared at him.
He stared right back.
Cold, icy anxiety began to race through you. You didn't recognize him. He wasn't one of the new guards; and even if he was, they certainly weren't granted free roam of the city until they'd gained the Masters' trust.
Pressure tightened against your forearm, the surprise sensation shocking you out of your staring induced stupor. Your eyes moved from the vampire to Gianna, who was tugging at your arm. Oh, that's what that was, you thought lamely.
"We must go back to the castle," she urged, pulling you away from the scene.
The two of you rushed back, Gianna quickly shoving away the purchased material behind the receptionist's desk and calling out the names of the two men in charge of your care.
A few moments later, they appeared, each of them striding toward you with a quick urgency, Felix stopping to your right and Demetri reaching out and placing his hand on your shoulder once he closed the distance, coming to a stop on your left. Your expression alone must have been enough cause for alarm. Within the blink of an eye, both of them were at your side.
"What happened?" Demetri's voice was icy.
"There was a man. A vampire," you added. "I didn't recognize him but he was staring and following us."
"Following her," Gianna butted in, a frown on her sharp face.
A low growl from Felix. He exchanged a glance with Demetri. Their faces were impassive. But the way their ruby eyes glazed with fury was enough to tell you what they were plotting. "Gianna, escort Y/N to her room. And you." He reached out and tucked a hair behind your ear. "Do not leave that room. Understood?"
All you could do was nod.
Demetri hummed. "Good girl. Felix, with me."
The pair were gone the next time you blinked.
You were laying in bed when the door opened, and the two vampires strolled in with grim expressions. With a start, you sat up, clutching the covers. "Is it-"
Before you could finish the sentence, Demetri sat beside you. Taking your hand in his, his eyes were full of nothing but concern. "It's over, Tentadora. We took care of it."
A shuddering gasp escaped your lips. Then relief followed. "Shit... good. Um, thank you."
Felix took your other side, taking your free hand in his. "Do you remember the promise we made you when we first met?"
Of course. You were scared shitless, curled up in the corner of Marcus' study, afraid of being eaten like all those other tourists when these two had approached you. Gently getting on their knees to make themselves smaller. Less intimidating. "You promised to always keep me safe."
"No matter what," Demetri added, softly squeezing your hand.
"I just don't get why you would go to so much trouble, though." You smiled sadly at them, feeling the anxiety leave your body and be replaced with lethargy. "We're friends, but I'm still just a human."
Felix leaned forward, letting go of your hand to cup your face. "Never say that." His deep voice was deathly serious. "You mean everything to us."
"Felix, we should... tell her."
Tell me what? Your gaze flickered between the two vampires, who exchanged nervous glances.
Nodding to himself, Felix took an unnecessary breath. "You know of mate, right Y/N?" When you nodded, he continued. "You... you belong to both of us."
Static filled your ears, your brain. It felt like you were underwater. "What?" you whispered. "But vampires usually have one mate!"
"That's what we thought too," Demetri murmured. "Until you. Marcus confirmed the bond. That day we met."
Mates... and to two vampires? It was unthinkable. Crazy. And you? You were mated to these two? "I suppose it does explain why you're both so protective," you said with a weak laugh.
Only Demetri laughed. Felix watched you like a hawk. You could have sworn you saw a hint of fear in his eyes.
"So... what do you think?" Demetri asked. "Do you think you can accept this?"
You heard the unspoken question; 'Will you accept us?' Biting your lip, you thought of the beat way to tell them yes. Words weren't really forming. Your throat felt tight. So you pulled your hands free, and cupped their faces, one hand on each of their cheeks.
Your smile turned genuine, more joyful, as they noticeably relaxed from your touch. Felix's eyes fluttered shut, whereas Demetri looked at you with pure adoration. "I think I can accept you two just fine," you told them. It was the easiest decision you ever made.

Tumblr media
It was a large plaza, filled to the brim with rich American businessmen that had nothing better to do with their time then host an auction, then a party, then get drunk and coincidentally lose the prize of the auction. Her name had been spreading around the city slowly, the more auctions that ended in chaos. Brioches, treasured coins, ancient weapons and vintage prizes just… slipping out of the hands of whoever had bid the most. She hadn’t always completed stretches of thievery — it used to be far, far worse. The company she worked after had taken her down after the news of the Segovia job had reached them at HQ. Just a couple too many spare bodies. She was now in therapy.
Descending the curved staircase, black flowing from her shoulders, a prize necklace she had stolen just last week hanging from the skin of her neck. It wouldn’t be the only thing hanging from her neck in a couple hours, though. Light bounced off of the glass chandeliers, alighting this night’s prize, sitting all grandiose at the far end of the room.
She kept a sharp eye on it.
But as she got to the bottom of the staircase, the red carpet moving out into the rest of the room, another person caught her eye. One she recognized, and knew better than she knew anybody else she’d ever met.
Tangerine donned a blue suit, his classic striped one that she always compared to David Tennant’s rendition of Doctor Who. He never understood it. He had just come in through the back entrance, and had made it very obvious he wasn’t supposed to be here tonight. It was a given. Otherwise, he would have told her he would be here, when, in fact, that hadn’t happened. She assumed he had been sent on this mission last minute, to fill in for someone. Because not only had he told her tonight was his free night, but his brother, Lemon wasn’t standing by his side.
Those weren’t their real names, of course. Just the names they went by to keep their real lives hidden. Over the years, their trust grew and eventually, after she had nearly died to an assassin from another company and the two of them had to carry her back to their house to let her get better, Aaron and Brian had trusted her with their real names. In response, she had done the same. Angel, became Ophelia, to the twins.
But there was always something more special about Tangerine.
When forced to explain it to her co-workers, all Angel could come up with was, “he’s just pretty, isn’t he?”, and she couldn’t help but think he had taken this job just because she was there, too. Bullshit, she was aware, but one could always hope.
Unless… Because as she looked back up at him after answering something urgent of her watch, he had his eyes skirting down her body, and quickly made a b-line towards where she was standing. There was this look in his eyes, that she hadn’t seen before, as well. Alas, the place was so damn big, this could have just been something she was imagining, since he was still so far away.
Something in her brain was telling her to run, and it wasn’t her handler shouting in her ear, that was for sure. Instead, the voice of logic, of reason, was screaming at her to not let him speak to her tonight. Was there really any harm in it though? It wasn’t like she was attached, or anything.
When he reached her, that smile, the cunning smirk, fed its way onto his lips as he took her hand and lent down to kiss the back of her palm. Words she never thought she would ever hear him say left his lips as he did so. “Ma’am, it’s lovely to see you here, you look incredible, as always.”
Okay, maybe she was a little attached.
Angel let a laugh fall from her lips as he stood up straight again. “Tan, shut up.”
“Never, my dear.” God, he was going to be the end of her. “I’m assuming you’re here for the necklace on auction tonight?”
She nodded, searching the crowd as he moved to stand to the left of her instead. “Yes. I can assume you aren’t? You’d never take a steal like this, even if it meant you would see me again. And especially without Lemon.”
“Don’t worry, you’re not that special.”
“Wow, thanks.”
“You’re welcome.” Then a pause. Angel couldn’t get the smirk to leave her face as he continued on with his reasoning of being here tonight. Moving his arm, he pointed towards one of the women sitting up in the glass balcony above where he had entered the plaza just a couple minutes ago. “Lady Francis De Marco. Owes a client a superfluous amount of money and she’s late by a couple weeks. Harsh client, let’s say. It really was just coincidence you’re here too, love.”
Angel blinked, spotting the pearl necklace falling from this women’s neck. “She’s the one selling the necklace, no?”
“Her husband.”
“So, what?” She took in a deep breath as his hand brushed up against hers. “You’re here to kill her? Or just get some answers.”
Tangerine laughed heartily. “What do you think, doll? I am an assassin.”
Angel shook her head. “Careful, don’t say it too loud, someone might be listening.”
“Nobody cares about our conversation, sweetheart, don’t worry. They aren’t listening, to us.” He calmed, looking over the crowds just as she was. The conversation came to a simple ending, a comfortable silence waving over the two… friends.
Tangerine had now known Angel for six years, and each year he struggled more and more to understand how and why she could make him feel the way he felt about her. It started in New York, they had met at something similar to this evening, and had gotten along well, much to Lemon’s dismay. A couple months later, they were both sent out to kill the same person, by different clients. They took a finger each as proof for their individual clients. Every couple months, they would bump into each other, and after the first few times, the sight of her dressed up at the party, or clad in a tight black suit while fighting some prick had him head over heels. Literally once he had nearly died because he was too busy staring at her. He had started to worry he couldn’t work around her.
Then two years ago, she had nearly been ran over by a bike while on the run from someone trying to kill her. She had been kidnapped, tortured by this guy who only wanted her because of a small job from 15 years ago. When she escaped, she found herself finding Lemon and Tangerine. That night he had found out her real name. Ophelia. He thought no name could ever be better.
Don’t worry, Lemon had told him many a time that this was an issue. He knew it very well. It didn’t mean he had to do anything about it, but it was defiantly an issue.
Tangerine coughed, clearing his throat. “What’s your plan then?”
Angel shook her head. “Was gonna figure it out as I went, personally. What about y-”
“Same.” He dropped his head, looking down at the carpeted floor. “I was only put on this job last night, so, I didn’t really have time to come up with a plan. They didn’t even tell me that it was gonna be in a place this big.”
She sighed, allowing herself to look over to him for just a second, seeing his tired cheeks and bloodshot eyes. “I keep telling you to leave your company, they’re shit.”
He shrugged, grunting. “Could be way worse, sweetheart.”
Angel was well aware there was no point in even trying to convince him to move company. He defiantly wouldn’t without Lemon, too, and a long time ago that man had gotten himself into some trouble with the CEO of said company, he hadn’t been allowed to leave since that day.
“I s’pose we better get to work then, aye?” Tangerine murmured.
Angel coughed. “Yeah. See you in a bit, Tan.”
And while Tangerine was fully convinced they were going to complete both their tasks together, he again, mumbled a small sinnabit, sweetheart as she wandered off. God, what was his problem? Why could he not just do something about this stupid infatuation with her? He constantly just let it sit, murmuring in his stomach for years and years. Was anything ever going to change? He couldn’t ever imagine it.
Tumblr media
Only two hours later, she was dead. Tangerine had cornered her in her office nearing the end of the party, and once she had understood what the assassin was there for, she simply let it happen. Her family didn’t have the money, it was as simple as that.
Angel was the issue. Tangerine had found her outside the office, clutching the necklace in her hands, shouting at him to hurry up because they needed to leave. She really had figured it out as she went, and it had turned out for the worst. This is why she was assassin, that’s what she was trained for, not stealing.
The two were running, and fast. Down the stairs and into a storage cupboard somewhere, Tangerine was following her, and from a rucksack behind a shelving unit, she pulled out spare clothes.
“I haven’t go anything spare for you, sorry.”
He shook his head. “It’s okay, I’ll just take my jacket and vest off, that should do.” And he paused for a moment, spotting her struggle to unzip her dress at the back. It was probably just because they were in a rush, but then again, they were definitely in a rush, any help would do. “C’mere, love.”
Angel coughed a thanks, turning around as he took a hold of the zip, tugging it downward. She brushed away the thoughts of his knuckles running down her back, her bra strap appearing behind the black fabric. This was far too intimate for her liking, and the second he reached the bottom, she turned back around, telling him to turn around so as to not see her while she changed. Just a couple seconds later, she was clad in a white shirt and dress skirt, looking as if she was a waitress. Her hair was done up this time, a neat bun at the back that to her, wasn’t neat. It would do. “We’ll leave as staff.”
“Sure. Lead the way.”
They left the closet, turning left and joining the crowd again, the necklace neatly tucked in her pocket still. Luckily they didn’t scan in and out, so they could easily just slip away from the plaza, out the front door, and no one would look none the wiser. People were even acting as if the necklace hadn’t been stolen.
But as they joined the escalator that was leading them down to the final floor, a very obvious security guard was eyeing everyone up and down. While everyone on the top floor was made to act as if nothing had gone wrong, the De Marco family had sent out more security to see if anyone was acting suspicious. Staff members that didn’t have key cards and had seemingly spawned in from nowhere? Suspicious.
Angel turned to face Tangerine again, who looked nervous having also spotted the security guard. “I could just kill him?”
“Making ourselves even more suspicious and draw attention to us? No. We need to deflect them. Making them not want to look at us.” This wasn’t the first time Angel had needed to get herself out of a situation similar to this. Tangerine, though, hadn’t.
Tangerine frowned. “And how do you expect we do that?”
She grimaced. “I’m sorry. People hate public displays of affection.”
“Public what—”
Hands around his neck, she pulled him in, lips against his own, letting it get a little too intimate for public. They just fell into it. As his tongue brushed up against her bottom lip and her knees nearly gave in, a thought occurred to her. With his hand on her waist and her arms around neck, playing with the length of his hair. This felt natural. It felt… right.
They reached the bottom of the escalator, the security guard long gone. Tangerine cleared his throat as they made their way to the exit. His car was parked just a couple blocks away, so they walked in tandem to find it. There was a silence between them that wasn’t like the one before. Somehow, they were thinking the exact same thing, without even knowing it. How do I get rid of these feelings? And yet, neither of them wanted to.
Tangerine got in the car when they found it. It was an old Rolls-Royce he refused to get rid of, which she had been in many a time. Just, this time was different. Part of her just wanted to walk home. Her company would kill her if they found out she just took a stroll home with the necklace just tucked in a pocket somewhere, but the only other option was to get in a car with him.
Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. “You getting in or what?”
On a whim, she got in the car, sitting alongside him as he started driving off. There wasn’t a mention of who’s place they were going to, but they lived on the other side of town, and he was going in the direction of her apartment. Driving there from any point in the city was just automatic to him now. He knew how to get there from anywhere.
It wasn’t a long drive. Soon enough, they were parked in the blocks car park, and were heading up the elevator to the 12th floor, where her flat was. When the door was swung open, Angel flicked the low lights on, kicking her heels off as Tangerine helped himself to a cup of tea. He was good at telling whether she wanted to be alone or not, and from her relaxed form she had taken on the sofa, he gathered he could stay for a bit. Not too long, he wouldn’t overstay his welcome, but just for a little bit while they both recharged. Just a couple minutes later, he found himself next to her on the sofa, she automatically leant her feet on his legs as he grabbed the remote to scroll through the channels. The silence became comforting again as she watched him flick between late night shows, comedic dramas and general news channels.
Angel yawned, starting to speak as she finished. “You should probably text Lemon you’re here, he’ll worry if you don’t.”
“He’ll worry any way.” Was all he wanted to say, but the words came natural to him as he furthered. “You should go to sleep, sweetheart, you’re clearly exhausted, I can show myself out when I need to.”
She sat up, removing her feet from his lap and letting herself get that little bit closer to him. He cared. She could see it in his eyes, and it was genuine. The most genuine emotion she had ever seen him show, really. But it truly was there. Slowly, as his eyes scanned over the details and features of her face, now just as close to him again as she had been earlier when they had kissed, she reached a hand up to stroke at his cheek, seeing the dark circles around his eyes and that tired looked that seemed to follow him around everywhere. She felt his breath get heavier as he tried to avoid looking down at her lips. This was happening.
Angel sighed. “You need to take better care of yourself, Tan.”
His eyebrow twitched at her words, and he gulped. “What’s the point? I’m never going to find anyone that cares enough to force me to care about myself, and with my job I could die any day.”
“Oh, Tan…” Her thumb dragged across his chin.
He let out a breathy laugh. “What, sweetheart?”
It was only that little bit further that she had to move in order to press her lips up against his. It felt the same as last time, her hands resting against his jaw, his arms naturally, as if done a thousand times, curling around her waist, pulling her that little but closer. But this time they were doing this for themselves. They weren’t doing it for a quick escape, or to distract people, this was for them. Because for six years, these two idiots have pined for each other, and only now had something been done about it.
While all Tangerine wanted to do was ravage her, give in to all the temptations from six years of falling for this woman, he let her lead, let her keep it slow. They were both tired, they both just needed this.
As she went to pull away, he chased her lips with a couple small pecks, as if he never wanted to stop kissing her ever. Angel chuckled. “I care, so much.”
“I know.” He mumbled, looking up at her as he resting his hands on her waist tightly to pull her over onto his lap, letting her fall around him, resting his face against her neck, breathing her in and repeating the words thank you in his head, for anything to listen, grateful that he had her.
It would take a lot of work, but they were both now confidence they could maybe work together and juggle everything else. There was hope now; a reason to live.

It's only pretend right ? ( Bucky barnes x reader) part three
Tumblr media
summary : kitty ( y/n) brings bucky to one of the spots in her life she can just breathe and take it all it , while the two enjoy the time alone soon realize that they been gone far too long get back only for bucky to take a tumble and learn more and more about her , he even get asked to bring her grandmother to church and a surprise shows up that makes her happy to be home
warnings : this is actually unlike me to have a tooth rotting fluff piece but i ain't mad at it , grammatical and spelling errors ( whats new)
previous part
Maybe it was the scenery , maybe it was the company  or even it was the both that had her instantly more calm more settled , the fresh green grass  , trees and  fields as she passed by was something she did miss even though the compound was surrounded by some trees and stuff it wasn’t like this . it wasn’t the great outdoor of home she always looked forward to .  The two stopped near the meadow just an hour from her house. She felt calmer being away from the judging gazes and comments, finally being able to breathe fully and it was like bucky could see the shift himself .
“ You know they have no idea about who you are,” he spoke up.
“I used to think they did , they used to make me doubt myself so much that when i was on my own I thought I was a disappointment so when i was left in big city i was afraid to come home, until I met fury  , he showed me I was worth something then I came on to the team and even more, I mean my dad's side they're awesome they let me know i'm loved , they tell me all time that their  proud of me” she smiled brightly.
“ I understand you more” he nodded “ huh ? “ she felt herself suddenly doubt kicking in.
“ Why you make everyone's day better, let them know their worth even when they don't themselves “ he smiled softly watching the horse move to the little river.
“ I make sure they never feel the way I once did,  sorry also I didn't know dickface was here” she grumbled .
“ gotta be a specific doll” he chuckled .
“ Good one but I was talking about my ex,” she laughed.
“ He's the one who hurt you badly huh?” He knew of him , Knew it was bad but never pushed her to tell him .
“ he left me in new york two days after arriving found him with another girl when I went go get my stuff out of hotel room and he didn't care like they waited for me to leave” she scoffed.
“Well  he never deserved you , he  screams of  what is it Parker says , small dick energy “ he mused as her laughter filled the meadow. The way the light hit her honestly looked like an angel,as he knew one week was gonna be hard , two was going to definitely kill him .
“You know I'm glad fury found me “ she sighed  flopping on to the ground staring up at the clouds above.
“ As am I,  you know you still never told me that story either” he flopped down beside her .
“ you make it  through these days without killing my family or ex and well then I'll tell you both stories “ she giggled .
“ you got yourself a deal doll “ he held his hand out as she took it, sealing their deal
“ so Is this your spot , you know  that one spot that everyone has to feel free , The one that is just for them ” he asked, eyes watching her reaction.
“ It's one of them only Jessie knows my real spot, the one I went to  as a kid when they would visit or when I had a tough time,  he’s the oldest and in the army  but he got leave so be here tomorrow ” she smiled softly.
“  Are you two  close?” he asked .
“ He was the first best friend I've ever had and the first person I rang when I got both jobs then my dad” she smiled.
“ I mean I love izzy and jack to death and we’re close too, we bond over different things , she is closer to  Jack ,twin thing “ she explained . He could listen to her rambles even for hour , days even and not get tired of sound of her voice .
“ I get what you mean doll” he held her hand and two just looked up at sky enjoying the comfortable silence. She even had a nap before the buzzing of her phone startled her seeing the sun setting .
“ shit mama texting to say it almost time for dinner” she yawn as he stood holding his hand out for her to take pulling her up . “ just us and grandma “ she added .
“ the evil one?”.
“ The devil lady , she ain't so bad I mean she's quiet and grumpy and judges everything most of the time and ignores everyone. My dad convince she sold her soul to the devil to live forever hence the nickname , she’s had a few close calls ” she chuckled easily mounting her horse as bucky got up on the moon easier.
“ I would say race you but this one is too far gone” he chuckled as she walked a head and moon followed.
“ I'll see if I can keep you guys together” she cooed to the horses .
The sun completely set as the two pulled back up on the ranch. All the cars were gone meaning they were gone too .
“ I can't believe this,” her dad stared as they approached.
“ What are you about, old man?” she laughed.
“ the rebel stallion walking like a show pony , you know he bucked Jack off” he said coming to the two .
“ he's misunderstood , hard at trusting but once he does , big softy plus jack in the box is annoying  “ she giggled, flickering a glance towards the man beside her.
“ We think he's after star too “ bucky patted the stallion not realizing he was going to sneeze once horse head went down bucky tumble after hitting the ground with a thump.
“ shit bucky you ok “ she hopped down so quickly honestly her father never seen her move so fast  .
“ is it dark enough that neither of you saw that” he groaned, eyes not  wanting to open.
“ it not even dark enough to hide the red of your cheeks son” her dad's hand slipped into Bucky's, pulling him off the ground.
These two stay together  from now on , you get in and rest that was quite a fall I'll check you over once I get these settled “ she called back .
“ come on son we get you in “ her dad led the super soldier in suppressing his laughter.
“ Are you ever gonna tell her how you feel?” he asked. “ I mean we're together “ he panicked.
“ I may be old but I ain't dumb  , plus the team clued me in “ he chuckled .
“ steve?” He asked .
“ he and Natasha , they rang three nights ago” , his words making Bucky stop.
I only found out last night.” His brows furrowed.
“ she only found out that morning” he winked, heading into the house leaving the door open once the super soldier let the words sink in.
“Come on before she kicks both our asses, she a cute little thing but shit never get wrong side of kitty ” he walked faster into the house as bucky followed .
“ about time … wheres kitty “ her mother turned to see two men .
” Bucky here took tumble off the moon so she gone get them  set for night while I checked over lover boy here” he patted the man's vibranium arm .
“ shit” bucky huffed.
“ What's broken , we ain't got insurance for that '' her dad said  his first proper look at the metal arm he's only ever seen in pictures.
"Nah the plates and calibration is out of whack ,makes it off” he explained lifting the glasses up and instantly smashing it. “ I can feel pressure with it “ he winced as they jumped at the sound of glasses shattering .
“ hey who’s making a mess in here” she walked in seeing their worried expressions set on bucky .
What's wrong, do we need to go to the hospital?” she rushed in front of the man. Eyebrows furrowed as her face laced with worry checking him over.
“ my arm just acting up” he smiled softly loving the doting attention she was giving him .
“ Pop, can you get my tools please?” she asked softly .
“ You need to take the arm off , I can clear the table” her mother rushed over .
“ No, he doesn’t easily do it while on so he can feel it’s in the right balance” she shook her head . Bucky couldn’t help laughing when her father pushed in the heavy trolley neon purple in color.
“ nice choice color doll” he winked making her chest flush.
“ Jessie and Jack got them for me” she rolled her eyes .
“ She and my dad used to fix cars when she was growing up , little tiny thing picked quickly. I mean she was fixing engines to her daddy’s machines at 10” her mother chuckled.
“ Ok, you ready buckaroo?” she asked, opening the trolley.
as i’ll ever be” he saluted with his other hand.
Her parents watched as she was lost in her task. It was like watching her as a kid working with her grandfather again. While bucky was lost in her , just the presence of her alone.  “ ok …more or less” she asked as he flexed the metal appendages.
“ nearly there a little more” .   He loved when she was this close, how he could see every detail of her face, little freckles that littered her cheeks, how he could enjoy the full beauty of the color of her eyes. When the tip of her tongue peaked out when she was fully concentrating on a task.
” ok how's that” she asked.
“ Perfect thanks doll” he kissed her cheek .
“ y-y-your welcome , food time” she turned so fast she felt dizzy but she was sure if it was his lips or smell of his cologne , the way she had to force her eyes to stay on task at hand or get lost in his beauty but boy did her knees feel weak.
“ kitty dear, could you get me a blanket” her grandmother asked .
“ Yes grandma, which one ?” she asked softly.
“ surprise me dear” she let a little smile on face.
“ She needs to teach me to do that,” her father whispered to bucky.
“ Mama is always sweet to the grandkids” her mother rolled her eyes.
“Mr Barnes,  would you bring me to the church tomorrow? '' the elderly woman asked face showing nothing .
“ I can indeed ma’am” he nodded .
“ Mama, he doesn’t know where it is, '' her mother protested.
“ They got computers for that , thank you mr. barnes'' she nodded before bowing her head, not waiting any longer saying her own grace and tucking  into her food .
“your immortal right” her dad Frank teased.
“ Why, '' Bucky asked.
“ Don’t mind him '' Beth's eyes rolled, swatting her husband as Y/N walked in with a flowery blanket.
“ Perfect dear, thank you, '' her grandmother cooed. '' Bucky is taking me to church tomorrow” she added as the woman froze while sitting down.
“ He doesn’t know where it is , we don't have a car here” she began.
“ your fathers car and he’ll find the way” she dismissed easily.
“ good luck, you know what buckaroo it was nice meeting you ” she gave him thumbs up dodging her mother swatting her .
Once dinner was done and everyone was retired for the night, Bucky found her sitting on the porch looking up at the skies .
“ i was wondering where you went to , nat is wanting to facetime” he held his phone up .
“ ok park that ass” she patted the spot beside her. What they weren’t expecting was the team sitting in the living room, even Tony .
“ Hey you two, how did the first day go” nat asked .
“ he survived the first day with the vultures” she joked.
“ I went horse riding too,” Bucky beamed.
“ fell off the horse too” she burst out laughing .
“ last time i was one was the 40’s” he rolled his eyes but didn’t hide his loving glance at her laughing.
“ Two weeks guys” she said as they all looked away from the camera.
“ you haven’t had your vacation yet and neither has the cyborg so yes two weeks pretty girl” sam sassed.
“ Hey little pyro you haven’t seen my black card have you” tony asked arching his brow.
“ Remember that hug?” she asked .
“Little shit , buy anything good even? ” he asked, chuckling.
“ nah not yet might buy my horse a new saddle you know the luxury brand” she mused playfully.
“ Her little accent is so cute , you can hear it more,” Wanda cooed.
“ I dont have one , anyway funny find out you got my parents involved in the ploy” she asked softly.
“ you both need a break ok so shut up and enjoy it , not much happening here anyways” nat rolled her eyes.
“ I mean it is good to be home , just can’t wait til the rest of them leave, especially dick face” she huffed.
“ What is your brother thinking?” Nat crossed her arms.
“Honestly jack doesn’t think” a gruff voice called, making her head shoot right up.
“ JESSIE” She ran off the steps, almost knocking the man to the ground.
“ her older brother is here i’ll ring you guys later” bucky hung up before standing up.
“ Hey kitty, good to see you,” he smiled, holding her tighter to him .
“You're supposed to be here tomorrow” she sniffled.
“Hey they best be happy tears” he pulled her into a hug.
“ very happy tears i missed you so much” she almost climbed into his arms .
“ sergeant barnes” he saluted while still holding his sister close to him .
 “corporal” he saluted back .
“ Are you being safe?” she asked, checking him over.
“ I should be asking you that,” he arched his brow.
“ I'm safe,” she smiled, wiping the tears from her eyes.
“Sorry you had to deal with them today” he smiled sadly knowing his own family.
“ s’okay i mean dad was there” she shrugged.
“ They give her a hard time?” He looked to bucky.
“  hey i’m right here i can handle it , how long's the leave for” she asked.
“ It was a bit harsh,” Bucky smiled sadly.
“ dickface saying anything? And I got two weeks, funny that ?  ” he asked.
"No, I mean anytime he did Helen answered, even though she doesn’t like him and I didn't influence your leave ” she giggled.
“ Jack just thinks her family should be there , her parents are gone so he’s all she has” Jessie rolled his eyes still not liking it hell he almost left his post to get her  in NewYork when he found out.
“ Come on mama and papa haven’t been in bed long” she pulled the men into the house , she and bucky stood on the landing watching the reunion. She grabbed his arm when she saw her mother crying at the sight of her son making him move his arm lacing his fingers in hers .
“I'm glad i didn’t miss this” she whispered seeing how happy her parents were.
“ Me too,” he smiled, eyes locked on her , seeing how happy she was.

Ethan Marks was a man of ambition, intellect, and unparalleled determination. At just twenty-nine, his muscular frame and impeccably tailored suits made him the epitome of a successful businessman and got him on the cover of multiple finance magazines. Groomed from a young age to take over Marks Enterprises, the billion-dollar company his father had built from the ground up, Ethan was on the cusp of achieving everything he had ever dreamed of. He had a luxurious penthouse with a breathtaking view of the city, a promising future, and the respect of the corporate world. But that day, after a grueling eighteen-hour shift, everything would change.
Tumblr media
The penthouse door clicked shut behind Ethan as he stepped into the silent, expansive space. The city skyline glistened through the floor-to-ceiling windows, a testament to his hard-earned success. He was only stopping by to drop off some documents and freshen up before heading out again-he had a crucial dinner with some wealthy clients later that evening. All he could think of was a quick shower and maybe a change of clothes before the dinner. But before he could take another step, a sharp pain exploded at the back of his skull. The room spun wildly around him before everything faded into darkness.
When Ethan awoke, he was stripped and tightly bound to his own bed. The silk sheets beneath him felt cold against his bare skin, a stark contrast to the heat of panic surging through his veins. He thrashed against the restraints, but they were expertly tied, giving him no room for escape. His attempts to call for help were stifled by the gag secured tightly around his mouth. Heart pounding, he stilled as he heard the door creak open, dread pooling in his stomach.
A figure stepped into the room, and Ethan's initial relief at seeing a police uniform quickly turned to horror as he recognized the face. It was his twin brother, Aiden. The very image of himself, but with a sinister gleam in his eye. Aiden should have been rotting in a cell, far removed from Ethan's life. Yet here he was, standing in Ethan's sanctuary, a twisted smirk on his lips.
"Miss me, brother?" Aiden's voice was a cruel echo of Ethan's own, filled with dark amusement. "You see, the cop transporting me to another prison wasn't very careful. I borrowed his uniform for a little trip. I had lots of fun with his athletic body, in and out of uniform if you know what I mean. Sad I had to ditch his naked body later in a trench, though. I wasn't quite finished with my intimate desires."
Aiden's words twisted like a knife in Ethan's gut. The implications were chilling, each syllable dripping with malice. Aiden's enjoyment of his crime added a sickening layer to Ethan's horror. Ethan's muffled screams filled the room as Aiden approached, a chuckle escaping his lips. He began to strip off the police uniform, revealing the sculpted body Ethan knew all too well.
Aiden then took his time, savoring every moment as he dressed in Ethan's expensive suit, the fabric hugging his body perfectly. He picked up Ethan's briefs, Calvin Klein ones made of the finest cotton, and slid them on, adjusting them with a smirk. Ethan's face burned with humiliation as Aiden took pleasure in each step of the transformation.
Tumblr media
Next, Aiden pulled on a pair of over-the-calf socks, the silk material sliding smoothly over his calves. He looked over his shoulder at Ethan, who was watching in helpless fury and despair. Tears welled up in Ethan's eyes, spilling over as Aiden continued.
Aiden slipped into the crisp white dress shirt, buttoning it up meticulously. He tucked it into the tailored pants, fastening the belt with a flourish. Ethan's chest tightened with each piece of his life Aiden claimed. Aiden then began to tie the silk tie, his fingers moving deftly, ensuring it was perfectly knotted. The suit jacket came next, fitting Aiden as perfectly as it did Ethan. Aiden smoothed down the lapels, a satisfied smile spreading across his face.
Finally, Aiden picked up Ethan's expensive double monk strap shoes. He held them up to his nose and inhaled deeply, a look of twisted satisfaction crossing his face. "Even your shoes smell of success," he mocked, before slipping them on and fastening the straps with a practiced hand. He stood up, adjusting his stance and admiring his reflection in the mirror. With a final touch, Aiden ran his fingers through his hair, fixing it to perfectly match Ethan's usual style. The resemblance was now so striking that even those closest to Ethan would be fooled. The transformation was complete. Aiden had become Ethan in every visible way.
"Don't bother trying to scream," Aiden said, adjusting his tie one last time. "No one's going to hear you. And besides, l've planned this for months. I switched our fingerprints in the police system. As far as the world is concerned, you're me, and I'm you."
Ethan's eyes widened with the realization of what this meant. Aiden wasn't just escaping prison; he was stealing Ethan's life. The company, the wealth, the future-it was all about to be taken by a man with nothing to lose. The sheer audacity of Aiden's plan was mind-boggling, the meticulousness terrifying.
Aiden stepped closer, bending down to look Ethan in the eye. "Enjoy your new accommodations, brother. I've got a company to run and a dinner to attend with some very important clients. They're expecting you, after all."
With that, Aiden left, locking the door behind him. The click of the lock echoed through the room, sealing Ethan's fate.

princess from afar.
gladiator 2 marcus acacius x female!princess reader.
author’s note: this idea came to me like a holy vision after watching like 100 gladiator 2 trailer edits of Pedro Pascal. god save us all when that movie is finally out. it will be feral girl hours!!! also MAYBE SPOILERS??? idk be careful x
small disclaimer: so... I haven’t had the pleasure of watching the first Gladiator movie, my apologies beforehand if anything is inaccurate lore-wise! I tried to go off what I knew of Ancient Rome and take inspiration from the movie and the sequel coming out later this year. I hope you all enjoy!
summary: you are a princess from far away visiting Rome under its new Emperors. the Roman General catches your eye, and you catch his.
warnings: gladiator-like violence.
: ̗̀➛: ̗̀➛: ̗̀➛
Your visit to Rome under its new twin Emperors has been eventful.
Your father and brothers were too occupied in your homelands to go themselves, leaving you as the sole candidate. Your father assured you plenty of times prior to departure that you were a perfect choice. Well-versed in languages and histories, practised in the arts and skills of diplomacy. You already had everything you needed to make it a successful visit, and establish a favourable relationship with Rome. Initially you had been nervous, understandably, your country’s standing with the most powerful empire on the planet came down to this visit, it weighed on your shoulders. But, upon arrival, the entire court of Rome, its government and its Emperors were inexplicably fascinated with you. Whether it was your beauty, which they had never witnessed before, or your personality or talents you could not say. Upon realising the hold you had over your hosts, you played everything to your advantage.
Dinner parties, festivals, meetings, trips into the city, you did it all with a smile and impeccable appearance. You had been accompanied by some of your loyal ladies, of course, who worked their magic each and every morning to ensure a flawless appearance greeted the court of Rome. You were mastering the art of diplomacy and playing your part, it was perfect. Then came the Colosseum. You were personally invited by one of the twin Emperors, Geta, to sit by his side and watch battles of all manner take place. Intrigued, as you did not have such a thing back home, you agreed. At first, you were shocked by the barbarity of it all, but upon seeing the joy it brought the crowds of spectators and the purpose it gave the fighters… you understood that it was another moving part of Rome and her empire. So, you applauded and followed the Emperor’s lead, which he loved. He was constantly seeking your company and favour, you felt yourself walking a dangerous line of a marriage proposal should you entice him too much. Such a thing would delight your father, but you weren’t so keen on your safety if you ever married the Emperor. There was just something about these types of men that made you keep your guard up.
After a few of these battles in the Colosseum, you grew to understand the addictiveness of watching and betting and waiting to see who came out on top. Some days wild beasts were released, other days it was man against fellow man. You saw enough blood and grime and hurt to last you a lifetime, but smiled through all of it when the Emperor glanced at you, grinning wildly. You had grown used to the intricacies of the glorious gladiator battles, and attended even when Geta had not personally sought you out to extend the invitation, as he now simply expected your presence at his side. It was on one of the Colosseum days that your visit would become even more intriguing.
You arrived that day fresh-faced, hair immaturely arranged, dress clean and jewellery gleaming in the sun. You had bathed in rose petals the night before and the smell danced around you as you greeted the Emperor and took your seat next to him. He kissed your hand, making eye contact with you before turning his attention to the Colosseum. The crowds were filling their seats, rows and rows of them all packed in trying to get a favourable view of the promised entrainment. A set of heavy footsteps behind made you turn your head, and you saw a man in white and gold, a sword at his hip, enter the Emperor’s box. You stood, a feeling deep down telling you that this man was important, as he approached. You had not noticed the spare seat next to the Emperor today, you should’ve known someone else was coming. The wide-shouldered, bronze-skinned man could’ve easily been mistaken for one of Rome’s Gods, you thought, watching him greet the Emperor. Then, the Emperor gestured to you.
“The beautiful Princess from afar, General Acacius. Isn’t she a sight to behold?” The Emperor’s eyes roved up and down your dress, and you feigned embarrassment. The General took your hand and kissed it, bowing respectfully as he did.
“Princess, forgive me. I was not informed of royalty accompanying the Emperor today. Do you mind if I join you both today for the entertainment?” You smiled prettily, eyes on his.
“Please, General, I am but a guest, you are Rome’s commander. Be welcome.” He nodded, taking his seat on the other side of Emperor Geta after you had sat yourself. Your hand was tingling with excitement from where he’d held and kissed it. For such a large, muscled man, he had a gentle touch. And he was so well dressed, rivalling yourself in his white and gold. He had golden leaves woven into his hair, brunette but speckled with grey. His beard was neat, trimmed. Your eyes lingered on his nose, a masterpiece carved by the Roman Gods themselves, surely. Your breath caught in your chest and you remembered yourself, fixing your attention on the Colosseum before you.
Though you tried to not give the handsome General too much attention, you felt his eyes lingering on you all the same.
: ̗̀➛: ̗̀➛: ̗̀➛
The fights were over, the crowds appeased, the sand of the Colosseum soaked with patches of blood and a few bodies. Geta had grown bored of the day and declared a feast to be held in the evening, all should attend. He swept away, guards following, and left you in the box bowing at his exit. The General’s warm eyes met yours when Geta was gone and he half-smiled.
“I suppose you shall be in attendance tonight, Princess from afar?” He asked, one hand on his sword, the other resting atop it.
“Of course, General. Will I see you there? You must be a busy man.” You replied, walking out of the box, holding your skirts up to take the steps.
“I will make my best efforts to attend, your Grace.” He bowed as you left, watching you go. He couldn’t fathom your existence, such beauty all in one person, such grace and softness. How could any man send you this far away on your lonesome? He gripped his sword hilt before relaxing and following you up the steps.
: ̗̀➛: ̗̀➛: ̗̀➛
You took to napping that late afternoon, then gossiped away with your ladies. They had just finished embroidering a gown that your father had sent along as a gift, and insisted that you wear it to please the Emperor tonight. They knew all of the goings on within the Emperor's palace, and for that you were thankful. They took out your hair, and agreed that a looser style would suit the intimacy of the evening feast. Precious gemstones were pinned into your hair, a reminder of your status as a Princess. The gown was arranged and fastened, you wore light slippers on your feet. Once the ladies had decided on appropriate jewellery and makeup, they finished by spritzing you with fresh rose water and then escorted you to the feast themselves. They, sadly, would not be joining you but would instead be waiting for you upon your return. You thanked them for their efforts, and they waved you into the dining hall, where the court was drinking and conversing in the candlelight as the feast was brought out.
Emperor Geta spotted you immediately. You obliged him and joined him in conversation with many different nobles and members of the court, though your Italian was good, sometimes you found some words did not quite translate in your head. You nodded instead and glanced at Geta with a radiant smile and a polite laugh if appropriate. You excused yourself for food and a wine refresh, glad for a moment alone where your brain could rest from translating entire sentences. Your smile dropped for just a moment and you wandered out to a balcony for real fresh air. Elbows leaning on the immaculate stone, you sipped your wine, staring out at the night sky and wondering if your family were awake or asleep back home. Were they thinking of you? You were thinking of them, always. When would it be time to go home? You put your goblet down and sighed, realising that you had put off these homesick thoughts by throwing yourself into life here in Rome.
“Princess,” You straightened up at the sound of someone’s voice approaching from the dining hall, then smiled in slight embarrassment when you saw the General carefully making his way out onto the balcony. “Peace and quiet at last.” He smiled, taking a place next to you on the balcony. He held no wine and carried no sword this time. He had changed into less golden attire, but it still made him look like a God disguised as a human.
“General Acacius, a pleasure to see you tonight.” You curtseyed and he bowed deeply, then took your hand and kissed the back lightly. His brown eyes caught you watching him with wonder on your face. “You are well versed in the ways of nobility and court, I am pleasantly surprised.” You said, trying to fill the air between you both. There was something about how he watched you so calmly, coolly, it set your insides alight.
“When you find yourself surrounded by certain types, you adapt.” He replied, leaning on the balcony with one arm, facing you.
“Not so different from a battlefield, I suppose?” You sipped your wine, eyes meeting his. He shook his head.
“Life is a battlefield, Princess, for everyone. Do you not find all of this a constant battle?” He glanced at the rowdy dining hall. You turned and made sure Geta wasn’t staring daggers at you, but he was nowhere to be seen. The crowd had grown somehow, and the feast was almost gone. You considered it all for a moment, before answering.
“I do see how one could view it as a battlefield, but I would not see myself as a warrior.” The General’s eyes widened, he grinned.
“I see you as a warrior, Princess, a valuable warrior. Do not diminish yourself, you may not be wielding a sword above your head, but your mind is just as sharp. I have heard stories of your visit so far, they love you. I fear you will never leave.” Though he meant it as humour, the thought of never leaving made you feel sick.
“Do you think I will ever go home?” You asked, suddenly desperate to hear someone say it. He searched your face, standing tall.
“Of course. You have a family awaiting your return, do you not?” The General’s hands folded before him. You nodded. “Who awaits you in your faraway land, Princess?” He asked, softly. You smiled at the stars.
“My father and brothers, General. You would enjoy them, if they ever visit.” The General stepped closer, admiring your little smile as you spoke of your family. His big hands took your wine from you and set it down. “He won’t keep me here will he?” You asked in a whisper, almost too scared to say it aloud. General Acacius studied your features for a heartbeat, then another. He could see the sadness hidden deep in your eyes, something many had never noticed in your time here. He saw the falter of your smile at the corner of your lips, even if for a moment. He had only met you hours before, but he found himself growing fond of you, the idea of you staying, but he knew it would only deepen your sadness.
“No, he is obsessive at times, but he will let you go. Your father would cross the seas for you, would he not, if you did not return?” You nodded and a little tear escaped your tired eyes. You wiped at it quickly, taking your wine from the General with a smile. You finished it and sighed.
“I think I shall retire for the evening, we are due back in the Colosseum tomorrow, are we not?” He stepped back, giving you space, and bowed. You curtseyed back, and he watched you reenter the dining hall. You slipped through the high energy crowd, making small apologies and nodding politely when they noticed you. Acacius wished he had told you to call him Marcus, he would tell you tomorrow, at the Colosseum.

You took the long way back to your rooms, meandering around corners and admiring the architecture. You had so much to tell your father and brothers when you got back, you were hoping you remembered it all. Maybe writing it down somewhere would help empty your mind of all these thoughts of home? You saw your room at last, and slipped off your satin sippers. Picking them up, you heard a scuffle down the hallway. It was all darkness beyond your door, shadows seemed to move up there… No, it was the wine talking. You slowly stood, shoes in hand, hand to your head. Maybe forgoing wine in the future would be wise. You lay one hand on the door to open it, but felt the floor go out from under you, your weight was flung over and you were resting on someone’s shoulder. They started to run away from your door, so you screamed. You dropped your slippers as your kidnapper turned a corner, you heard your door open and your ladies' voices.
“Help me!” You called out again, before pairs of light, fast footsteps began following your screams. You struggled to free yourself from the grip of the person carrying you, they were turning corners and taking passageways you had never seen before. You kept screaming, but your ladies couldn’t catch up. They lost you, calling out your name and crying. You were thrown from the shoulder of your kidnapper to the floor, it was dark and dim down here in the bowels of the Emperor’s palace, the night air was cool. You felt your elbows gaze against tiles. Your kidnapper bent down, forcing a rag over your face, you struggled, nails digging into their wrist but with one inhale you lost all control of yourself and went dark.
: ̗̀➛: ̗̀➛: ̗̀➛
Sunlight streaming in on your face woke you up. It was bright, hot, you felt dry and sick. Pushing yourself up, you saw that you were chained in a cell, and could hear crowds roaring outside. Your head rolled, but finally steadied itself against the stone wall behind you. Your eyes were adjusting to daylight, you felt awful. You had just begun to recall the events of the night before when the sound of your cell unlocking and the appearance of a gladiator caught your attention.
“Good afternoon Princess. Ready for your grand entrance?” He smirked, hauling you up by your shoulder and forcing you to walk out of the cell. He steered you through small passageways, dimly lit except for stray rays of sunlight, you passed other cells with men chained up in corners. Your heart dropped, you were underneath the Colosseum. Was this the Emperor’s doing? Had he ordered you kidnapped for leaving the feast early without his permission? Had the General feigned friendliness only to arrange your kidnapping last night? You came to a room where all light was blocked by a gate, weapons were carelessly discarded, armour too. “Drink this, we can’t have you giving a bad performance for your Emperor.” Water was tipped down your throat, it spilt over your lips and down your neck, onto your dress.
“Did he order this?” You demanded, finding your voice. The gladiator’s eyes were dark, evil. He looked you up and down before speaking.
“No, it’s our little surprise to him, so put on a good show for us, Princess.” He approached the gate and banged with his fist three times, you heard the sound of hinges creaking, and sunlight filled the room. The gladiator hauled you up the slope and out into the very Colosseum you had been presiding over yesterday. The crowds were cheering wildly, unaware of who had just entered their arena. The gate slammed shut behind you, and you turned around, banging on it with chained fists.
“I have no quarrel with yourselves, or the Emperor, let me out of here at once!” You shouted, back to the gate. No voice came from the other side, your heart sank again. Hands chained and head on a swivel, you ran out to the centre of the Colosseum, hoping, praying that the Emperor would recognise you and order you saved.
You saw Geta stand, leaning over the Emperor’s box, then he started shouting. Movement in his box gave you a glimmer of hope that someone was coming to get you out of here alive. But then, the gates behind you opened again, and a stream of armoured men ran out, banging their armour and showing off their weapons. The crowd went berserk. You fell to your knees, realising your fate, and kept your eyes trained on the Emperor’s box. You thought of your father’s face when he was told the news by a prim and powdered envoy from Rome that his daughter had been slaughtered in the Colosseum. You prayed for good lives for your brothers, that they raise strong families that look after your homeland. The tears had started and you couldn’t stop them. You were hauled from your knees, your dress ripping and forced to stand.
“The Princess from afar will die for your entertainment today!” One of the gladiators yelled, displaying you to the crowds. Their cheers died down, and a ripple of confusion passed through them. You were released, and encircled by a half a dozen armoured gladiators with bloodthirsty expressions on their grimy, unshaven faces.
“You gain nothing from my murder, gladiator.” You spat, the anger beginning to take over. They laughed and brandished weapons of all manner. Swords, nets, daggers, tridents. “How can any of you stand there and murder a defenceless, chained woman, in full armour with sharp weapons in your hands? Have you no honour, no bravery? You fear a woman so greatly she must be killed in chains and unarmed? Cowards, all of you, a disgrace to your brothers!” You yelled, hoping that the words would buy you time. A few of the gladiators seemed uneasy as you spoke. Then, one strode forward, grabbed your chains and used his sword to shatter the link. Still cuffed, but now free to move your hands, he backed away, eyes on yours. “There is one brave enough to approach amongst you, at least.” You shook your hands and let the chains fall to your bare feet, burning in the sand.
A beat of hesitation from the others passed, before one gave in and ran at you, roaring. He held a long sword above his head, clad in armour, taller and broader than you. All you could see was one of your brothers charging at you with their wood practice swords as children, pretending to spear you rather than save you. You stood there, ready to greet death without the satisfaction of screaming or wailing, but at the very last moment you threw yourself aside and he missed. The crowd went up in a frenzy. His sword struck the sand and he looked over his shoulder at you, eyes tearing into yours.
Maybe you had decided not to die here.
He ran again, and you did the same, but you knew these gladiators were wise in strategy and learned their opponents' ways fast. He started swinging his sword at you, giving you little time to move out of the way, he caught your upper arms or dress where you were too slow, drawing thin lines of blood across your skin. Seeing the red made him hungry for more, and he did not relent in his attacks. You used the metal cuffs on your wrists to stop his sword taking your head off of your neck, and he grunted in anger, stepping back. The crowd were in uproar. He twirled his sword in his hand, idly, thinking as he surveyed you. You spotted a shorter sword sheathed on his hip, it would be madness to try and take it, he’d surely kill you at that distance, but you needed a weapon. You stood no chance of making it out alive or surviving until rescue if you had no weapon, you could only dodge and weave for so long, the other gladiators would be fiercer, more brutal, they were building up their stamina minute by minute.
The long sword narrowly grazed your side, you cried out and pressed a hand to your dress. It was torn open, bloodied already. Your hand came away red, your eyes widened. The gladiator’s shoulders were rolling, he wanted to land another hit. You had an idea, a wild one, but it would get you close to the short sword. You had to do it just right, you moved slower, hand pressed to your injured side. He swung again, missing, a second time, missing again. The third time you let him catch you again, and you went to your knees, crying out. The crowd booed, outraged. He grinned, ecstatic at the thought he was the first to face you and have you down on your knees injured, he approached, sword wet with your blood. His hand grabbed your chin, lifting it up to face him, you started up the tears again. “Just make it quick, you brute.” You hissed, panting. He grinned like a devil, lifting up his long sword, but as he went to swing down, you had his short sword unsheathed and drove it upwards to a gap where his chest armour didn’t cover his abdomen.
A wet sound, he stumbled, dropped the sword, took bumbling steps backwards. His face was a picture of shock, he fell dramatically onto his back, blood rushing from his new wound. You picked up the long sword, its weight foreign in your hand, and backed away from the body. The other gladiators all looked at one another in silence. The crowd, however, were anything but. You stood, eyeing up the five remaining gladiators. They watched their brother die and squirm, before looking back to you. Though they did seem reluctant to be the next to face you, they all closed in, weapons gleaming in the sunlight. Then the gate behind you opened, the one under the Emperor’s box. They all paused, and you half-turned to watch.
General Acacius came striding out, armoured up, sword in hand, the expression on his face was one carved from marble by the Roman Gods of war and death. His anger rolled across the Colosseum, his muscles strained as he stalked towards you and the five gladiators. He said nothing as he reached you, he did not spare you a glance, he made a straight-cut line for the remaining gladiators.
: ̗̀➛: ̗̀➛: ̗̀➛
Despite the fact you were openly bleeding from several cuts, your dress was a mess and you were devoid of your sunny smile, General Acacius was focused solely on the gladiators. You watched as the once reluctant men now fired themselves up with the promise of a real fight. But before you could run to the open gates, they encircled you and the General together, forcing you to back away from your escape route. The General surveyed the gladiators with a disgusted expression, and then it all happened at once.
All five gladiators charged, two at you, three at the General. While you had no doubts about the General’s capability to survive, you seriously doubted yours. You had no time to get any words out before one of the two was upon you, bringing a trident down, you raised your long sword with two hands and barely held him off, nearly going down to one knee with the effort. He backed away, the sharp prongs of the trident begging to be buried into flesh. Mouth dry, you watched the two gladiators exchange a look before the one wielding a long sword charged, you met him, not blow for blow but enough to keep him off of you. The General had already downed one of his gladiators and was onto the second and third. The crowd were cheering, chanting, stampeding in their seats. The trident flew past your head, landing in the General’s field of battle. Without hesitation, he picked it up, threw it back and met his attacker swiftly with his sword, never missing a beat. The trident had pinned the gladiator who owned it down, lodged in his arm, he struggled against the prongs. You felt sick.
The long sword came down at you again, you threw yourself out of the way, too tired to meet it with your own sword again. Your arms bled and ached from the weight of this weapon, you did not possess the same muscles as these men. You were not trained in the art of war, fighting other humans, or wielding weapons. Your brothers had tried to train you as children but your father had quickly intervened and warned them that you had no use for such things, as they would always be there to protect you. You wished dearly now that you had continued attending your brothers’ training sessions against your father’s orders. The sword narrowly missed your chest, you were shaking with the effort to breathe and move and fight all at the same time. You weren’t even sure your heart was still beating.
Your sword met his again, he was getting bored, tired of playing nice. You had to meet his blows to protect yourself, as tiring as it was. Your eyes scoured his armour for weak spots, a glimpse of vulnerable flesh… nothing. You took a few quick steps back, gaining distance, and time to think. Then the General downed his third gladiator, and turned to spot you warding off yours. The General advanced, sword slick with blood, but not before the gladiator rushed you and knocked you off your feet. He was atop you, sword poised to go through your chest, but not before you drove yours through his neck. The angle had given you the advantage, just. He rolled off of you, clutching at his neck, gargling on his own blood. He drowned before you, red spilling from his mouth and neck. His hands were covered in his own hot sticky blood, his eyes open as he died. You stood, covered in his blood, and watched as the General finished off the final gladiator who was pinned beneath his own trident like a fish.
You threw your sword aside, disgusted, horrified, on the verge of tears. General Acacius sheathed his own sword and ran to you. Without a word, he had you up in his arms, his nose in your hair.
“Are you hurt, Princess?” He asked, his voice low. You could barely make it out over the crowd’s collective cheering and celebrating.
“A little, General.” You said, clinging to his armour. He held you tight, making for the gate.

The Roman court and government were in an absolute outrage at your kidnap and torture in the Colosseum. Both of the Emperors ordered the gladiators and slaves brought before them to find the one behind it, but you were too sick to care. Whoever had been behind it had got their way, you were thoroughly shamed and defeated. You had survived, but at what cost?
The General took you straight to the physician. He stayed guarding the room as your wounds were cleaned, packed and dressed. Your beautiful embroidered dress was cut away, to be thrown on the fire. It was soaked in gladiator blood. You watched the General pace the room, hand gripping his sword, jaw set. It took time for the physician to do his work, but he was finally satisfied and allowed you to rest. The General, however, did not leave when the old physician did. He let you settle before speaking to you. You sat yourself up in the bed, thin sheets over your battered body. You had accumulated some nasty bruises from throwing yourself out of harm’s way.
“Princess…” He said softly, kneeling at your bedside. You looked at him with tear-stained eyes and a weak smile. “I will find who did this, they will pay. We will have their heads.” He said this with his head bowed, as if in prayer. You leaned down to him, your fingers lifting his chin. Your eyes met.
“You saved my life, Acacius, that is enough.” His eyes took you in, he thought of you as a star robbed of its starlight. A rose shaken free of its petals.
“Please call me Marcus, Princess.” You breathed deeply for a moment and nodded.
“Marcus, do not let your bloodlust cloud your judgement. I am alive, and I am grateful for that. I will return home when I am well.” His hands took yours, and he traced the back of them for a moment. The words hung in the air, unseen, unheard.
“Will you ever return to Rome?” He asked, holding your fingers out.
“I do not know, when my father hears of this… I could not say if I will be permitted to return one day, Marcus.” Your untidy hair fell in your face, finally freeing itself of its gemstone pins from the night before. Marcus reached up, gingerly placing the hair behind your ear. His touch was featherlight, as if he was scared you would shatter at any moment. He said nothing as he memorised the lines on the palm of your hand, red and sore from the long sword’s handle and weight. You sank further into the bed, watching him, his face. You wanted to paint it and frame it in your bedchambers at home, so you would never forget what he looked like.
He then placed the softest kiss on the back of your hand, then your wrist. Your body lit up like a bonfire, like the moon and stars on a dark night, and he looked up at you.
“If you do not return, will you let me remember you?” He asked, taking in the faded scent of rose from your wrist. It was washed away by sweat and blood and hot water now, but he knew it lingered, lest it be his imagination.
“I would want you to remember me, as I will remember you.” You replied eventually, he appeared relieved at this, and suddenly raised himself up to your bed, inches above you. He paused, eyes flickering to your lips, then back to your eyes, your hair. “Do it, I will not regret it.” You whispered, eyes on his lips. With all of the care in Rome, he gave you your first and last kiss, he touched your hair, the side of your face. When he pulled away, he looked down, eyes avoiding yours. “When I go, will you see me?” You asked, voice tight.
“I would not miss it for the world, Princess from afar.” He quickly kissed your head, your wild hair, before withdrawing from your bed and taking himself out of your room.
: ̗̀➛: ̗̀➛: ̗̀➛
You would see him once more when you departed for home with your ladies. Emperor Geta made a grand show of escorting you to the docks and seeing you board your ship bound for your homeland. It had been such a long time, it felt, since you had seen your father and brothers. Geta was sending you with heaps of gifts and treasures for your family, partly as a show of your efforts, and partly as an apology for your kidnap. When the General approached to say his goodbye, kissing your hand firmly with eyes closed, he slipped you something, which you hid down the front of your dress and didn’t open until the ship was sailing.
In your hands now lay a simple gold chain with the retrieved gemstones from your hairpins dangling from it. You smiled to yourself and slipped the necklace on, closing your eyes and wondering if one day you would return to Rome and see him again.

I STILL LOVE YOU — MAX VERSTAPPEN
Tumblr media
PAIRING: max verstappen x ex-wife fem!reader
SUMMARY: max’s ex wife finds out he’s getting married again
CONTENT: mentions of divorce, angst, sadness, cheating
NOTE: get ready to cry. i did while editing it + this is a repost from my old blog too but this one got slightly revised. some errors got fixed but it’s not 100% proof read.
As y/n sifted through the mail, she noticed a white envelope with "y/n verstappen" written in gold letters. frowning in confusion, she carefully opened it. the moment she saw the contents, she felt her heart shatter. it was a wedding invitation—specifically, an invitation to max’s wedding.
“max and eleanor request the pleasure of your company to celebrate their wedding” was written on the card in gold and black letters.
y/n felt her eyes water and closed the envelope. this could not be happening, she thought. but it’s not like her and max got divorced yesterday.
the divorce was due to his racing career. he wasn't as present as y/n and the children needed him to be, which led to constant arguments, fights, and tears until their marriage ultimately ended. this happened over three years ago, but she still couldn't understand how he had moved on so quickly. perhaps her difficulty in understanding stemmed from her own inability to move on.
she had tried everything, and by everything, she truly meant everything. she had met new people, gone on countless dates, and even ventured into the realm of online dating, hoping to find a connection that might help her move on. but nothing seemed to work. none of those men were him. some were good, hardworking, and loyal, but there was always something missing. each new encounter only served to highlight the void he had left in her life, the irreplaceable presence she couldn't seem to find in anyone else.
"mama, why are you crying?" a soft voice pulled her back to reality. "hey, i’m not crying, i just have an allergy," she chuckled, hugging leon, one of her seven-year-old twins. "julian and i are ready but he is helping emma with her bag," he smiled, hugging her back.
leon and julian were twins—practically mirror images of max. thet shared the same face, the same eyes, and the same cheeky smile that always managed to light up a room. meanwhile, emma was a carbon copy of her mother, with the exception of her blonde hair and blue eyes, inherited from her father.
the twins were only four years old when the divorce happened, and emma was just two. the process was far from easy, but both parents made a concerted effort to minimize the trauma for their children. they navigated the difficult path with as much grace and cooperation as possible, ensuring that their young ones felt loved and secure despite the upheaval. the priority was always the well-being of their children, and they did their best to shield them from the worst of the pain.
“mama! we’re ready!” julian and emma ran out of their rooms with bags in hand, “hey, be careful!” she laughed, “we’re ready!” julian exclaimed and emma giggled, “that’s good, oma will be here in no time” y/n hugged the children, or like max likes to call them, their cubs.
the doorbell rang, signaling sophie’s arrival.
about a week ago, sophie had asked if she could take the kids on a little trip to a lake she had visited with a friend near the city. after looking at the pictures, y/n couldn't say no. the children would love it, and she knew how much they enjoyed spending time with their grandma.
when she got pregnant, max suggested that it would be better to move back to the netherlands so the babies could be surrounded by family. she didn't hesitate and agreed with his proposal. while she loved Monaco, nothing could compare to having her family nearby.
when she looks back at those memories, she’s thankful that she chose to come back. she doesn’t know what could’ve been of her if she had to go through the divorce all alone in monaco.
she walked over and opened the door, smiling warmly. "hey!" she greeted, pulling sophie into a hug.
"how are you doing, sweetheart?" sophie asked, hugging her back as she stepped inside. y/n knew exactly what she meant. "i’m good," she replied softly, her smile gentle. sophie nodded, giving her a sympathetic look just as the three mini verstappens ran over to their grandma, hugging her legs and making her laugh.
"oma!" they exclaimed in unison. "who’s ready to go to the lake?" their oma asked, eyes sparkling. "me!" the cubs chorused excitedly.
they said their goodbyes as she helped sophie put the kids in the car.
“i’ll let you know when we get there” she told y/n, “sounds good, and send pictures, please” y/n smiled in return, “i will. and honey, if you need anything, just give me a call” she pulled her into a tight embrace, “i know, thank you, soph” “no problem”
ass the dedicated mother she was, or as max fondly referred to her, the lioness, y/n found herself feeling oddly restless whenever her children were away—simultaneously bored yet remarkably productive. with them gone, she efficiently organized weeks of work and meticulously cleaned the entire house. completing her chores left her with a sense of satisfaction, prompting a leisurely shower before descending to the kitchen to prepare a meal.
while deeply focused on cooking, the doorbell rang unexpectedly. perplexed, since she was only expecting sophie’s visit that day, she set the knife aside, quickly washed her hands, and hastened to answer the door.
“uh, hey?” she said opening the door, “hey, how are you?” max asked, “i’m good. your mom already left with the children so…” “i’m here to talk to you, can i come in?” he asked, “sure…” nodding, she opened the door a bit more for him to come in.
“are you busy?” he asked after you closed the door, “not really. just cooking” she walked back to the kitchen, max followed.
max sat in one of the stools as he watched her wash and chop some vegetables for the salad she was preparing.
“what did you come to talk about?” y/n looked up, his blue orbs finding her beautiful eyes, “i wanted to know if you got the…” “the wedding invitation? i got it today in the mail” she nodded, her tone coming out a bit dry even if she didn’t mean to sound that way.
“are you mad?” he asked, “why would i be? congrats, by the way” she said, adding her favorite vinaigrette to the salad, “don’t be like that…” he sighed, “like what? am i not supposed to congratulate you now?” her eyes found his once again.
“you know exactly what i mean, y/n” he said, “i don’t know what you mean and i’m not in the mood to fight. i’m tired and hungry, so can i please enjoy my salad?” she asked and he scoffed, “i can see it in your eyes, y/n. there’s something you’re not telling me and i want to know what’s going on” he sighed, “we’ve been divorced for almost three years, but remember we were married for four before that”
she felt her eyes water but quickly wiped the tears away.
“i’m okay, max” y/n said while grabbing a glass and pouring some juice in it, “you’re about to cry, tell me what’s going wrong, i want to help” he softly said, and that’s when she broke.
"i don't know max, maybe the fact that once again i'm the one who's going to be all alone?" her voice broke, "the fact i'm the only one who's going to come back to an empty home when the kids are spending time with you? or maybe it's the fact that for some reason i can't move on with my life but everyone else can! you did, why can't i?" by now, she were a crying mess.
move on? he never moved on. his family knew it, his friends knew it, everyone knew it, he knew it.
he was never able to move on from her, the love of his life—the woman who lifted him up when he was feeling down, who cried tears of pride after almost every race, the woman who showed him a new depth of love when he became a father, and the woman he lost because he messed up.
seeing her crying broke his heart, but it also gave him hope. hope that the woman he deeply loves, loved him back still, even if it was just a little bit of it left.
he liked eleanor. she was good with the kids and kind to y/n, but she wasn't her, and she never could be. eleanor, younger than him and eager to settle down, was someone he found comfort in, at least temporarily. he went along with the idea of marriage, thinking he had nothing to lose, until the day she poured her heart out to him. it was then that he realized eleanor could never replace the deep connection he had lost with his former wife.
"i never wanted that divorce," he said softly as he walked over to her. "and you think I did?" she sniffed, wiping away her tears. “you asked for it..." he began. "because I got tired of giving you signals and second chances that were never taken, max," she sighed, her voice heavy with emotion. she looked up at him, hoping he would understand the weight of her words.
max felt like shit, to say the least. hoy could he be so dumb? how could he throw away his family and the love of his life just like that?
“please give me one last chance, i promise i’m not going to fail you and the cubs again”, he sat next to y/n on the couch, grabbing her small hands and squeezing them softly, “max, you’re getting ma-“ “if you don’t want me to get married i won’t. i just need to hear you say it”, he interrupted her.
y/n was in utter shock to say the least. could he really be serious? the gravity of his words hung heavy in the air, leaving her struggling to comprehend the reality of the situation.
“i am serious. you know it” he said, almost as if he could read her mind, “please baby girl, i need to hear you say it”, he pleaded, staring into her eyes.
y/n took a deep breath.
“maxie… please… please don’t get married” she softly said, eyes watering and lips trembling. max sighed in relief and hugged her tightly, “i’m never letting you go, ever again” he grabbed your face and kissed her softly.
“i hope you stick to that promise” “you know i will, schatje”
