“A Cinderella Story”: 3.8 ⭐️s/5
-Great & funny storyline
-Great actors
-Since it’s just a movie, you don’t feel like you know the characters too too well
-Storyline is a bit predictable
-Would watch again & recommend. Its a feel good movie

Just watched this film today — fantastic.
Many thought the ending was sad — but I actually saw it as eye-opening, and actually extraordinarily touching

All time good feel movie.
16 September 2005
David (Mark Ruffalo) is a recently widowed architect moving into a new apartment in San Francisco. But the apartment isn't entirely empty; it's haunted by the ghost of a woman named Elizabeth (Reese Witherspoon). And although Elizabeth can't remember much about her life, she's convinced that she isn't really dead. While David recruits Darryl (Jon Heder), an absent-minded psychic, to get to the bottom of Elizabeth's identity, he and Elizabeth begin to fall in love.

5 Movies That Will Make You Good Company
When you are alone, when you have nothing to do, when it’s Sunday morning, when it’s Sunday, when it’s any day of the week, these are my top 5 movies that will make you good company.  I’ve always been a great fan of watching movies, like when you are introducing yourself to your class and you name your hobbies, I always mentioned the “I like to watch movies” thing. When I was 16 years old, I decided that I wanted to be a filmmaker even though it has been hard to accomplished that, given that the film industry in my country is still in diapers, and it’s hard to get a regular job in that. Still, I am pretty much a fan of the movies, and not just because they are a source of entertainment, but because you can see yourself in that character or that scene. I also like the final credits of the movie, the song the director chooses to mark the end and the whole spirit of the movie. It’s kind of nostalgic for me because the movie just ended, and I grew some sort of attachment to it.
So, here are my top favorite movies, the ones that I can watch over and over, the ones that transport me to a different time, the ones that make me feel special after I watched them, the ones that I search on the internet for quotes and stuff like that because they simply touched my soul.
Before Sunrise (1995)
Can you imagine going to Europe and get off the train with a stranger just to walk around in one of the most beautiful capitals in the world? Well, that’s what director Richard Linklater tells in this film.
The story develops in less than 24 hours. The two main characters, Celine - french girl, 24 years old approximately - and Jesse - American, about the same age, meet and go to different places in Vienna like a restaurant, a café, a record store. They get to know each other in all of those different places where they face unusual situations like meeting a palm reader or a street poet that writes for money. They go to the cementary, to the park, to the pub, and many more. They talk and talk and talk and have the most existentialist conversations, like the one you have when you’re in your 20s and don’t know how life is going to turn out, yeah, the same with a stranger. The thought of not seeing each other again in their lives makes them open up about their true and deepest feelings. And even if they don’t fall in love, I think the rest of us ended up loving both of them because they are humans! Yeah, a film that portrays the mundane lives of ordinary people. It makes me feel like I’m special with my ordinary way of life.
I am not going to tell you how it ends, but the whole trilogy is just like life ** Insert your thoughts about it **

Pleasantville (1998)
I love this film because it’s placed in the 50s, because I used to love Tobey Maguire, because of Fiona Apple’s “Across the Universe” (I believe it’s so much better than the original… sorry). This was the very first movie that made feel different, like something had changed in me after watching it. Even though it is a Hollywood movie, and famous actor, and all the budget, but those are the kinds of jewels that I rescue from the money making film machine called Hollywood.
The main idea of the story is around our human feelings and how we can’t help feeling something “good or bad”. We can’t simply be numb and feel absolutely nothing about what’s in front of our eyes. And even if it’s a bad feeling like anger, it’s what makes us be humans after all.

High Fidelity (2000)
youtube
I discovered this film about less than 2 years ago. I heard this title before, but I was not interested because I thought the movie was about something else. Then one day it was on TCM. My life changed. Just kidding…
Why I love this movie? MUSIC! Not just any type of music, ROCK! Not mainstream, but that vintage, indie, alternative, old rock that goes directly to your soul. Actually the soundtrack is amazing. This is another love movie, where two people fall in love and fall out of love and fall in love again, just like real life, where relationships are not picture perfect, where there is no such thing as black or white but lots of colors in between.
Chocolat (2000)
Tumblr media
What’s not to like about this movie? There is chocolate everywhere!!! Chocolate is even on chicken and meat! There is also the little french village with the beautiful houses, the 50s again! (I surely love the 50s), the soundtrack which is simply awesome.
Basically, chocolate everywhere. If you are a huge fan of eating chocolate, then you should watch this movie with a bag of Hershey kisses or something similar.
Almost Famous (2000)
Tumblr media
Why I love this film? First, rock music, Led Zeppelin, and more music. 70s picture. (Mainly I am fascinated with the 50s, 60s and 70s or everything that I can consider “classic” - the 90s are now part of that group).
I also like this one because of the fascinating experience of working as a writer/reporter for Rolling Stone Magazine.  It sounds a bit fictional, but it actually happened to director Cameron Crowe (see http://www.thewrap.com/15-secrets-revealed-about-cameron-crowes-almost-famous-on-its-15th-anniversary/)
There are a lot of topics to discuss in this film: friendship, first love, sex and drugs, feeling of belonging, uniqueness… you name it.
Conclusion
After making this list I realize that my favorite movies have heavy doses of music, or music plays a big part of the story, it sets your feeling. It helps me feel identified, part of the story.
I also realize that most of these films were released in 2000 particularly.
