By • Olalekan Fagbade PEPT: Nigeria elections can only be won by rugged Politicians – Davido Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has said that elections in Nigeria can only be won by the most “rugged” candidates. The singer made the remark via his X page, on Wednesday. He wrote, “Nigeria Election nah by who rugged pass.” A curious fan asked if his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State also won by ruggedness and Davido confirmed that rugged men were on his uncle’s side. The fan with the X handle @chief_ochuko wrote via the comment section; “Na ruggedity ur uncle take win Abi?” Davido replied: “Men mount.” The singer’s remark is coming against the backdrop of the victory of President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC). CRIME CHANNELS recalls that the petitions against President Bola Tinubu’s victory at the polls filed by the Labour Party (LP), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) were dismissed yesterday. The five-man panel, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, dismissed the petition of Peter Obi of LP seeking to nullify Tinubu’s election. It also dismissed APM’s petition seeking to disqualify the president over the invalid nomination of his running mate, Senate Kashim Shettima. Atiku Abubakar’s suit seeking to disqualify Tinubu on the grounds of dual citizenship was also thrown out. #Davido #election #PEPT

No member needs to justify their time in the group by ranking in any of these fan polls (even if they're official/on tv or whatever).
Fukumura's leadership ranking tracks (i might even rank her behind Ai-chan, who led the group through Plat era). Both Fuku and Ai have similar leadership styles - slightly passive, let's all hold hands and get through this. I wouldnt ask either of them to change who they are just because they're leader.
On leadership in H!P (i might develop this into a full essay if i have time), the oldest member in the most senior generation becomes the leader (except Anju, which has set out to be the polar opposite of MM in every way, and that's fine. It's just proof that h!p and UFA are less strict about such stuff than you imagine). One can always point to more "capable" leaders in any given group: e.g Yumeno over Riko, Ishiguri/Yonemura over Saito, Sayuki/Karin over Yuka back when j=j was formed etc. I suspect that, come the 30th anniversary of MM/H!P, Fuku-chan will continue to be remembered fondly, and will still make the Mount Rushmore of MM Leaders.
On vocals, ranking in the top 10 out of close to 50 MM members is not a small feat. Tsunku called it 12 years ago when he said that Fuku's voice was able to bring out sadness really well. Listen to her solo song, Extra and you'll know.
On the flipside, MM has traditionally always had members who dont pan out vocally: Konno, both Harunas etc. Skills and development shouldn't determine the length that the members stay in the group.
I suspect that the people who post such confessions are either new(er) fans who have never seen their oshi graduate, or just parroting whatever they see on twitter/wolf boards on 5ch. Watch over the group kindly, dont spread hate.
Peace.
I really thought Fuku-chan would rank high in the Morning Musume anniversary fan ranking because of how aggressively she's been pushed the past few years but she got #3 in the "Best Leader in MM history" ranking (lost to Sayu and Yuko) and #9 in "Best Singer in MM history" ranking (Sakura, Maa and Riho ranked higher)! I do feel bad for her because she was THERE to see that but that should be a sign to UFA that the majority of fans don't see her as the super ace they wanted her to be.

Aya Ogawa - The Nosebleed from the chocolate factory theater on Vimeo.
Written and Directed by Aya Ogawa. Performed by Drae Campbell, Haruna Lee, Peter Lettre, Aya Ogawa, Saori Tsukada and Kalli Turner. Set and Costume Design by Jian Jung. Lighting Design by Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew. Production Stage Manager: Lenyn Hernandez Marcia. Assistant Director / Assistant Stage Manager: Julia Izumi. Produced by John Del Gaudio.
Co-Presented with Japan Society.
Japanese-American playwright/director Aya Ogawa presents this final version of their intimate autobiographical piece that explores their fractured relationship with their long-deceased, enigmatic father. Since the show’s sold-out work-in-progress showings at Brooklyn Arts Exchange and The Public Theater’s Under the Radar Incoming! Series, downtown theatergoers have been anticipating the premiere of The Nosebleed. Through a series of turbulent, absurd and poignantly comic vignettes, Ogawa reveals the seemingly insurmountable cultural and generational gap between himself and their father, who was a typical Japanese corporate businessman, and examines the questions faced by the playwright in their own motherhood experience today. A theatrical memorial and healing ritual for the audience, this darkly humorous, tender and inventive play considers how we inherit and bequeath failure, and what it takes to forgive.
The Nosebleed is co-presented by The Chocolate Factory Theater and Japan Society. The Nosebleed was developed in part through the Parent Artist Space Grant and AIR Program at Brooklyn Arts Exchange and The Public Theater’s Devised Theater Working Group/Under the Radar Incoming! Series. Subsidized studio space provided by The Play Company through the A.R.T./New York Creative Space Grant, supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Support for The Nosebleed was provided by a residency at Mount Tremper Arts and The Made in NY Women’s Film, TV & Theatre Fund by the City of New York Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment in association with The New York Foundation for the Arts.

Advent Calendar Day 23: Snow on Mount Haruna
A woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige II (1829-1869)
The volcanic Mount Haruna was one of three major mountains in Kōzuke Province in Japan. At the centre of this snow scene a group of temple buildings is perched on top of a rocky mountainside. Tiny figures make their way across a path and narrow bridge over the rushing river below.
The long building on the right was a tea house inside the temple grounds, while the red building in the centre housed a statue of a thousand-armed kannon, bodhisattva of mercy. The bright red of the temple and the sacred bridge leading to it, and the strong blue of the river in the gorge below, effectively contrast with the greys and white of the snowy ground and sky and emphasize the isolated, wintry setting.
This print comes from Hiroshige's 'Famous Views of the Sixty-odd Provinces', which is considered to be one if his finest and most dramatic sets of prints.

Warmth
They made,
A lot of songs that would leave to smiles,
Akai Ko-en’s Tsuno Maisa-san.
One time,
On July 19th in 2016,
With Tsuno Maisa-san and,
Iikubo Haruna-chan,
We went to mount Nokogiri.
At that time I, it was my first time talking with Tsuno-san, they were the person who wrote the lyrics to Utakata Saturday Night!...!? like, I think I was careful,
Without being afraid to get involved,
I listened to her many fun stories. From climbing, we sweat a lot, we also had delicious food together.
It was just, it was just one time but,
At that time I felt,
We had fun together.
Those feelings,
Listening to Tsuno-san’s songs,
It has a similar warm feeling.
Morning Musume ‘16’s,
“Utakata Saturday Night!” https://youtu.be/IiV-aaLo9SM
Its sure to be exciting in a live,
Everyone smiles,
I love that song.
Tsubaki Factory’s,
“Waratte” https://youtu.be/EtlNSncRMjk
Laughing with tears overflowing,
I also love the warmth of this song.
Excuse me,
Just arranging the words in this way,
I can’t believe it yet.
The songs I received,
In particular, Utakata Saturday Night!
From here on as well,
In order to make lots of people smile,
We will continue to sing it while cherishing her soul.
Ishida Ayumi
