god i fucking. hate it when someone has an 80% good point that they feel the need to bolster with blatant lies. because then if you try to correct them they act like you're defending the bad thing they're against and its like no, i agree the thing is bad, but let's focus on that instead of just fucking lying to people
#this is re: the motm aftermath leaks#like wotc sending pinkertons is fucked up and bad!#they did not break his fucking door down and assault him!#and lying about that makes the rest of your post less credible!!!!

How much exactly do we know about what happened to all the compleated (non-planeswalker) people after the war? Even after looking I've only heard a few vague mentions, which feels odd given we've had Aftermath plus two full standard sets since MotM.
They're dead, almost uniformly. I'm sure there's some exceptions, but as a general rule, they died with Elesh Norn. Planeswalkers survived because they had to be kept alive to keep their souls and sparks. For everyone else, compleation is fatal with only a few exceptions.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa you're so cool!!
I was going to preview some cards I'm making for a special format but ACTUALLY something came up and I'm disproportionately pissed about it.
Look at this card.

It's from Commander Masters, a very recent set.
Now look at this card.

From MotM: Aftermath, another very recent set. Now if you're normal, you won't see anything wrong with these. But I am not.
Today, I was making a card very similar to Blot Out, but there was a problem. I'm very particular about formatting/templating, so I needed to know one very minor, simple, insignificant thing: Is it "greatest mana value" or "highest mana value"?
As it turns out, this aspect of effect templating is still stuck in the fucking 1900s, because to this day WotC can't make up their god damn minds about which one to use! "highest" has been used for most of the game's history, but the game almost always uses "greater" and "lesser" when comparing numbers like power or mana value, so ever since Crimson Vow Commander they've been printing cards that use "greatest". But despite that, they still keep putting "highest" on cards! With modern sets it's seemingly random which one they'll use, so it's safe to say there is no consistent templating for when you're looking for the biggest number among things. Which, again, would not be a problem if you're normal. But I am infuriated.
And this isn't specifically about mana values, it's about anything using "greatest" or "highest". They just cannot make up their minds about this. The same problem exists with "least" and "lowest", though those phrases are less common.
The dumbest example is Purging Scythe, which uses "least":

Oh sorry, does it say "lowest" on the card? Click the link, the updated oracle text uses "least". They updated this card to say "least" instead of "lowest" because apparently "lowest" is incorrect, but they're still printing modern cards that say "lowest", so basically this company is a disgrace to all things good in the world.
And I STILL don't have a good answer as to what to put on my card.
#asks#i'll use greatest and least to be consistent with the greater and lesser terminology used in number comparisons#the game almost never uses higher or lower#the only time it uses higher for anything other than a dice roll is on Lukka Coppercoat Outcast#and the only time it uses lower is on Look at Me I'm R&D#that one isn't even proper comparison so Lukka is the odd one out#that makes me feel better about him dying#asshole was ruining the templating consistency

Looked up the latest MTG leaks, because apparently I wanted to give myself psychic damage, and, uh, cool, thanks WotC. Thank you for making me regret ever caring about your story.
(By the way, totally called it on MotM: Aftermath being a standard legal mini-set, just like Hearthstone. You can’t buy it all as one package, but why would I expect that from this company?)
#mtg#mtg spoilers#mtg leaks#i'd elaborate but I don't know if anyone wants to read my rant#least of all myself

'Captain material', 'On fire' - Plenty of Rangers fans gush over 9-cap ace's Twitter post
Rangers moved into the transfer market to sign Glen Kamara from Dundee at the end of the January window, and it’s fair to say the new acquisition has made an instant impact at the club.
The 9-cap Finland international’s reputation has been snowballing since the moment he set foot in Glasgow, but his reputation culminated last night when he notched his first goal for the club.
Kamara was an outstanding performer at Ibrox in a domineering 4-0 win over his former club. He set the tone for a fine evening by bagging the opener after just four minutes with a well cushioned volley.
In the aftermath of proceedings, Kamara took to Twitter to galvanise the supporters during this rich vein of form and cited his delight at scoring his first goal for the club.
Another big result for us tonight, the boys are flying! Nice to get my first goal for the club as well 🙏🏾💙 pic.twitter.com/oEbkT5umSl
— Glen Kamara (@GlenKamara4) February 27, 2019
The supporters responded to the post with gushing admiration, with suggestions that he could become a future captain or club legend firmly a part of the discussion.
It may well be early days in his career but it appears that the 23-year-old is well on his way to establishing himself as a firm fan-favourite.
Here’s what the Gers faithful had to say in response to Kamara’s Twitter post…
Your on fire big man. Youve not out a foot wrong and we have not conceded a goal since your introduction to the team.

Regardless of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino choosing up a purpose and lend a hand each and every, and Mohamed Salah impressing as soon as once more, every other of Liverpool’s stars used to be named as Guy of the Fit following his efficiency as opposed to Bournemouth this night.
Matchup
Liverpool travelled to the Power Stadium for a Premier League conflict previous lately, with the Reds getting into court cases at the again of a disappointing Zero-Zero stalemate with suffering West Bromwich Albion closing day trip.
Bournemouth, in the meantime, noticed an outstanding 90 mins at Previous Trafford right through the week sooner or later produce no issues, even though the Cherries certainly took quite a few positives from their 1-Zero loss.
Blitzed
On the other hand, any renewed self assurance at the a part of Eddie Howe’s males used to be briefly extinguished this night, as Jurgen Klopp’s travelling Reds blew the hosts out of the water with three first-half targets.
Philippe Coutinho were given issues began for the guests, lights up the Power with an impressive run and end after 20 mins.
And it used to be 2-Zero quickly after, as Roberto Firmino did brilliantly to hook a pass again around the Bournemouth field following a nook, with Dejan Lovren available to go house.
And the sport used to be successfully put to mattress as a competition simply sooner than half-time, as guy of the instant Mohamed Salah netted but every other ultimate purpose for the Reds, chopping again previous two defenders to expertly curl house into the ground left-hand nook of Asmir Begovic’s web.
Firmino added a 4th within the 66th-minute so as to add some gloss to the scoreline, nodding house a pinpoint supply from fellow countryman Coutinho.
MOTM
Unsurprisingly, a lot of the debate over the process the 90 mins lately revolved across the flowing attacking soccer on display from Liverpool, with Philippe Coutinho singled out for specific reward by means of enthusiasts and pundits alike.
On the other hand, upon the awarding of the Guy of the Fit by means of Sky Sports activities within the aftermath of the conflict, it used to be actually Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who used to be honoured, following a massively spectacular, all-action show in the course of the park from the previous Arsenal guy:
