Today lmao. My wife surprised me with a le creuset braising pan that I had wanted and also I had a therapy appointment.

This is probably super US centric but I’m still interested to see the results! Please don’t include weather drills in your response.

For those unaware, a lockdown drill is a drill schools will run to practice in the event of a danger to students and staff. This could be anything from a swarm of bees (happened at my elementary school) to an off-campus police presence or an active shooter event.

When I was in school we did lockdown drills only, the district I work in now does lockdowns and active shooter drills, but they’re conflated and the kids are taught to barricade during a lockdown when applicable.

Since joining up with Artfight I've already noticed a huge change in my art skills. I'm more confident in my sketching phase, my line art is getting better, my rendering is on a whole other level, it's just wild to see the difference! One of the main reasons I joined up with Artfight was to draw more & work on my art skills, & to see actual improvements has been so awesome. I still have a lot to work on, but I'm still hella proud of what I've done :) honestly thinking I may need to find more challenges like this for the rest of the year :p

I was already planning to plant some milkweed and I think Im gonna doccument local caterpillars and moths/butterflies when possible bc we have a tree growing that hosts a specific kind of caterpillar in my backyard already and i go by mothmaam in a lot of places so it makes sense.

I've found some projects on inaturalist about ontario moths and caterpillars that I already see in my backyard every year so going out into my yard every day and trying to take a picture of one of the moths butterflies and caterpillars i see and submitting them to these projects is a goal i think i can reasonably accomplish

Ive decided that to combat my feelings of helplessness im going to be looking into local endangered species and seeing what I specifically could do to help them once its warmer and my chronic pain and leg/back issues are managable again.
