We are having serious heat and humidity in San Diego and it lead to a post workout headache. So I decided to give @blueridgehemp #cbd infused headache ointment today. Documented the process ..5 minutes after rolling it on the #headache was gone. #holistichealth is no joke. I love plant based medicine and am so so so grateful for this product. Tomorrow for #MotherEarthYogis we are doing birds of paradise! Hers how to rock it: Start with your feet slightly wider than hip-width apart and come into a slightly bent-knee forward fold. Reach your right arm back and in between your legs as if you're reaching for something behind you. The goal is to get your right shoulder wiggled far back to the inside of your right leg. Extend your left arm up toward the ceiling. Rotate the palms of both hands back and bend your elbows as you clasp your hands on the outside of your right hip. If you can't make the clasp, start with a yoga strap in your left hand and whip it back to grab hold of with your base hand. If Wiggle your feet closer together so you're at a traditional hip-width stance. Keep your knees bent and lean the weight into your left leg as you lift the heel of your right foot up. Drop your hips and see if you can hover your right foot above the ground. Once your foot is hovering, push into your base foot. Start to lift your chest up away from your thighs, keeping the base leg bent as your torso comes up. Once your torso is upright keep your wrapped leg relaxed. Straighten your standing leg and focus on lifting the kneecap. Drop your tailbone and hug your standing hip in. Relax your shoulders down away from your earlobes. This is a fabulous variation of the pose so feel free to stay here. Today for #MotherEarthYogis we have pigeon. Pigeon Pose stretches the thighs, groins, and abdomen. It can often be felt deeply in specific upper-leg and hip muscles, including the psoas, piriformis, TFL (tensor fascia latae) and gluteus maximus. Good evening #MotherEarthYogis tomorrows pose is Eagle pose or Garudasana. Begin standing in Mountain Pose (Tadasana), with your arms at your sides. Bend your knees. Balance on your right foot and cross your left thigh over your right. Fix your gaze at a point in front of you. Hook the top of your left foot behind your right calf. Balance for one breath. Beginners can omit the foot hook and cross the leg over the top of the standing leg, instead, resting the toes gently on the floor. Extend your arms straight in front of your body. Drop your left arm under your right. Bend your elbows, and then raise your forearms perpendicular to the floor. Wrap your arms and hands, and press your palms together (or as close as you can get them). Lift your elbows and reach your fingertips toward the ceiling.
