I feel like people don't talk about this enough but it's a great way of showing how pilties and zaunites grieve differently. Zaunites have long been oppressed by Piltover that it's changed their very way of grieving. Piltover has long oppressed Zaun that to the people of Piltover, just a small percentage of what Zaunites go through pushes them over the edge.
The fact that Caitlyn losing her mother is the absolute worst thing that could happen to her but for Vi it's happened at least three times and it's just another day of being alive. By the end of the show, she's lost more loved ones than she has fingers to count.
I'm too brain dead to think about it but it really does show how simply growing up in a country/nation that survives off of the oppression of another can change a person even if they don't directly feed into the oppression at first. Caitlyn, in anger of losing her mother, becomes and does the very things that made people like Silco and Jinx in the first place. The fact that the attack on the funeral happened because a mother was still grieving her dead son. That ultimately, violence is always an answer for the oppressor but never acceptable for the oppressed.
And so as the saying goes, Piltover turns to Zaun and says "be oppressed quieter or else."

i hope you enjoy the continuation!!!
warnings: more crazy family shenanigans
Dirty Santa had the family in an uproar when cousin Pat drew number one for the second year in a row. Seeing as your grandmother had made the pieces and walked around with the bowl, no one had any real proof Pat had cheated.
You were happy with your number. It wasn’t dead last like you’d hoped but close enough to see more gifts and get your pick of the litter.
Jayce was scrambling to understand the rules again with Viktor’s help, but even then you’d had to correct him on a few rules.
“Okay,” Jayce muttered, thick brows set in a determined line, “stolen twice and it’s frozen, no stealing back, number one gets to go again at the end and you’re stuck with whatever they trade you.”
“Perfect,” you said. “The rules change from family to family but that’s ours.”
Your more rowdy aunt who was a bit too serious when it came to any type of games shouted for Pat to get a move on. You sat back with your husbands, head cushioned by Jayce’s arm and one of Viktor’s hands in yours. You don’t know where your energy went after dinner, but you could fall asleep to your insane family after years of these events. Although loud and encompassing, it was home, and you were happy your loves were sharing in the madness.
“Who’s five?”
“That would be me,” sighed Viktor as he leaned forward. No one had a chance to offer him assistance as he snatched his cane and use the handle to snag a bag. Everyone whooped as it slid down the length and into his lap.
“Show off!” someone called.
Viktor merely smiled to himself, passing you tissue paper as he revealed a pack of pens, a book of crossword puzzles, and a few of those brain teasers you’d see in bookstores made of wooden figures or metal rings.
“That’s right on the nose for you,” you said, tossing the trash to your father who had the black bag by his chair.
“Yes, I’m quite happy with these,” he hummed, flipping through the crossword puzzles.
“I’m glad someone got them who will actually do them,” your mother sighed, clocking herself as the buyer. “They’re good for your brain!”
After a few more turns, Jayce browsed the lingering gifts on the table in the midst of everyone before eyeing the tool set in Uncle Jimmy’s arms.
“Now, son,” your family member began, mean mugging, “think about that decision.”
Jayce hummed, tapping his chin and staring at ceiling. He was so dramatic. God, you loved him.
Finally, he sighed and shook his head. “I’m thinking I need a new tool set.”
“Ooh, that’s cold,” Great Aunt Lynda cackled, sipping her wine. You could’ve sworn she mentioned a dry December when you all were fixing your plates. Apparently she’d had an incident at Thanksgiving, but you hadn’t been here. You all had gone to Jayce’s mother’s.
Now or made sense why your mother had made it clear that no was to bring beer into this house on the holidays—only wine.
Viktor was sipping some of his own as your number was called. Pulling yourself from his side, you looked over each gift that had already been opened. None of them appealed to you, so you went for the smallest gift bag.
Your husbands leaned in as you pulled out what was clearly a gift card, opening the little flap to see where you’d be buying from.
“How much we talking?” Aunt Pat asked.
“If it’s for fast food I’m taking it,” one of your younger cousins declared.
Viktor choked on a sip while Jayce shrugged, clearly confused as he read the brand. “I don’t dont know this store. Is it local?”
“Oh, it’s local all right,” Great Aunt Lynda said. Everyone snapped their heads to her when she spoke.
“It’s not fast food,” you announced, shoving the card back into the bag. “It’s for medicinal purposes, kiddos.”
“Ew! Medicine?” one of the twins whined, sticking out a tongue. “Who’d want that?”
“Ooh,” Jayce said, tapping away on his phone. “That makes a lot more sense.”
“Lynda there are kids playing!” Dad barked.
She waved a hand, draining her wine glass. “It’s a gift card. Be glad I didn’t bring a D-I-L-D-O—they were two for one!”
“A dodo?” one of the kids questioned.
Jayce lost it. You just shoved the gift bag behind your back and told them to move the game along.
In the end, you and your husbands got to keep your gifts. Aunt Lynda was all too happy to waddle over and talk about the best things to buy before you excused yourself for a bathroom break. Viktor was safe chatting away with Jimmy while Jayce was heading for another snack in the kitchen.
You had all of three, peaceful minutes in the bathroom before your phone lit up.
Groupchat: Jayce 💍 Viktor
Jayce: someone save me Lynda’s blocking the kitchen exit and there’s a mistletoe hanging above her!!
Viktor: That sounds like a trap.
Jayce: no shit!
Viktor: I meant for me. If I come to the rescue, I’m sacrificing my lips for yours.
Jayce: So you’re just going to leave me here?
Viktor thumbed up the question, hearing your laughter from down the hall.
You: Hold on my damsel in distress. I’m on the way.
Jayce: I’m glad to see SOMEONE loves me in this marriage
Washing your hands, you pocketed your phone and readied yourself for the last bit of the party which always ended in more christmas games or old home videos.
Only time would tell.

Grey was ready.
He stood by while Rainfall finished her other announcements… he saw right through her and he couldn't wait to get big and become a Ranger. She would never choose him as an Envoy, he knew that. No, Grey would have to take a different path to remove the cruel Captain, be it Herbalism or just all out rebellion! But he had to learn first, he needed to complete field training. His conviction set fire to his heart, but he kept it well hidden from anyone who looked too close. He wasn't sure who he could trust yet.
It was a miracle any of them had finished base training! His friend, Tiger, had paid the ultimate price at less than three months of age, swept away by the river, at Rainfall's order. It wasn't fair! Grey could see the sorrow on Lily's face as she sat next to him, waiting to be assigned to a teacher, same as Grey. Tiger was Lily's sibling and all the young cats in the colony still missed him… They missed a lot of cats, so many had disappeared lately…
Many cats in River Colony whispered behind Grey's back that he was the son of a renegade, but he knew better. It was so long ago, but his mother would never have left him on purpose, that had to be Rainfall's doing, and Iceclaw… he held back a snarl, realizing that Rainfall had already assigned Lily and Ivy was next.
“--teach her loyalty and obedience!” Rainfall sneered before her gaze landed on Ivy, “Silverblaze, you will train Ivy. Make sure to train her to follow orders well, those long legs will make her a good scout.”
“Yes, Captain!” Silverblaze nodded before turning around to greet Piketail, Ivy's aunt, as she ruffled Ivy's fur and congratulated her on reaching the next step of training. Piketail was one that Grey might be able to talk to… maybe…
“Grey.” Rainfall's ice cold gaze fell on him finally, “I can only think of one cat to match your weak will.” she seemed to goad him, but he didn't falter, not even as he heard some snickers behind him. ‘Don't let ‘em get to ya’ Rockyshore had told him, ‘Let it all roll off you like water.’ “Wolfthorn, how would you like to actually pull your weight in this Colony, hm? I'm sick of you freeloading, so you will train Grey. That is all. Dismissed!” she finished, her eyes still trained on Wolfthorn.
“Sure, Rainfall,” Wolfthorn's smooth voice answered, “I'm sure that decision won't come back to bite you.” He shrugged with a smirk. Several cats gasped, no one dared talk back to their Captain, but Grey had witnessed Wolfthorn do it on more than one occasion since he had entered the colony. Apparently he was born here too, but he left on a long journey before returning. Rainfall had just… let him come back.
“It had better not.” Iceclaw growled a threat. It made Grey's neck fur stand on end, but Wolfthorn didn't seem put off by Iceclaw at all. Why? Grey knew there was more to that story, there had to be, and he was going to uncover it! He could barely hide how excited he was to be assigned to Wolfthorn, of all cats! The Spirits might have been on his side after all!
Grey looked back at the silver striped tomcat with an eager smile, ignoring the flashes of pity in many cats’ eyes. They certainly didn't think his assignment was a good thing, and he would pretend to be unaware of why; he would continue his act of naivety until he had Wolfthorn alone. He had to be careful about it if he was to succeed.
There would be no harder working new-claw than Grey, Wolfthorn wouldn't even need to try very hard to train him. He would practice his stances, his tactics and his strikes until they were flawless. And one day he would be good enough to beat Iceclaw. Hopefully he could get Lily on his side too, and Talon, Ivy and Falcon!
Wolfthorn blinked at him and then turned away, walking toward the west shore of their island base. Grey hurried after him, following across the stepping stones and through the mangrove tendrils. They didn't stop until they had reached the Rainbow Trees, the huge eucalyptus trunks towered above them, reaching for the sky. Grey bounced into a trot as he realized they were the only cats here. What should he ask first?
Wolfthorn stopped abruptly, turned and sat down, his striped tail flicking from side to side and his eyes narrowing, “What’s your story?” Wolfthorn asked before Grey could speak, “You're not as naive as you let them believe.”
“...No.” Grey's heart jumped into his throat, should he really trust Wolfthorn? His idealistic plan started to sound stupid suddenly, he didn't know what to say, “I--well, I just…” he cleared his throat and trailed off, shuffling his paws nervously.
“Relax.” Wolfthorn smirked and rolled his eyes, “I'm not going to bite you. Obviously, you are aware that Rainfall isn't my biggest fan, so I'm sorry she made me your teacher, I don't know why, and I'm not exactly a good one.”
“That’s okay!” Grey blurted out, “I can already do a lot! I've been practicing!” he launched into his best leap and roll technique before bouncing over Wolfthorn’s back, swatting him gently and then leaping back in front of him, a huge smile on Grey's face as he finished.
Wolfthorn chuckled, “Look, kid, you don't have to impress me. Mine is an opinion no one cares about.”
“I do! I think you might be what I need to save the colony!” Grey almost looked like a kitten again, huge yellow moon-eyes gleaming.
“You're really into this, aren't you?” Wolfthorn raised an eyebrow. He seemed caught off guard, but also a bit amused. “Save them from what? ‘River Colony is the best colony in the Alliance’ after all.” he echoed Rainfall, fishing for an answer that suited him.
The last thing Wolfthorn expected was to hear Grey out himself for treason, but that is what happened: Grey's face turned serious as he prepared to speak. This was it, if he couldn't trust Wolfthorn, all hope was lost anyway, “Save them from Rainfall! She got Tiger killed. My mother is missing… several cats are. Piketail tells us about them, she says not to talk about it though… you never know who's watching…”
“So, you're a little traitor huh?” Wolfthorn laughed in Grey's face, after a moment, Wolfthorn tilted his head to the side, “I suppose I underestimated you. Kittens don't normally have such resolute opinions.”
“I'm not a kitten anymore, I'm six months.” Grey stood tall and Wolfthorn realized how large he was, almost as large as any adult really, “And yeah, I am a traitor! Are you going to report me?” Grey's demeanor was more challenging than anything, “Someone has to do something or more cats are going to get hurt.”
It almost gave Wolfthorn hope… hope for the colony he knew as a kitten: safety and pride in their work. He sighed, “I suppose kittens are forced to grow fast in River Colony now… No, I'm not going to report you, but keep all that to yourself.” Both toms relaxed a bit, “I suppose you've noticed that my relationship with our Captain is a bit different, hm? Well, don't test it for yourself, alright? Your job is to become a Ranger right now, you'll be playing the long game.”
“So, you do have a plan? I knew it!” Grey's ears stood on end as he prepared to listen
“Not really…” Wolfthorn answered and Grey's excitement melted, “I don't really do… hard things anymore.” He yawned.
Grey's brow furrowed, “But, all we need is a few more cats on our side! You could lead–”
“I'm no leader.” Wolfthorn interrupted his new ward, who drooped a bit in disappointment. It hurt Wolfthorn's heart to see Grey's conviction shatter… Who was he to tell this new-claw that his idea of justice wasn't tenable? Not wanting to completely break this young cat's confidence, Wolfthorn caught Grey's gaze and said, “But I know who could be.” He supposed he was about to do a ‘hard thing’ after all.
The new-claw smiled with determination, but kept his mouth shut, waiting to be let down again perhaps? Or maybe just waiting for instruction.
“You are just a naive little kitten, yeah?” Wolfthorn raised an eyebrow. Grey smiled eagerly and nodded enthusiastically, “You would never dream of betraying Rainfall and I'm quite annoyed that she has you following me around.” Wolfthorn smirked as he got their story straight, “You're too dumb to see me do anything treasonous though.” Grey nodded again, laughing at the continued charade.
“I'm ready.” Grey said.
“I guess I am too.” Wolfthorn shrugged. He wasn't sure why he came back to River Colony, but he never expected to meet a cat like Grey. He supposed his shadow must have guided him home for this. Was he really the only cat for the job? He hoped not. Time to find out.

Peppermint Tea 32 - All Blends 3
Holy shit its been a long time since I've updated this. I really hope you guys enjoy this chapter and be on the lookout for the next one in the next few days!
Summary! You meet Katakuri, and the boys are upset and make plans to get you back!
Peppermint Tea Masterlist -> HERE
Tumblr media
You stare at Big Mom in horror. Wife? You’d heard about the Emporer before and her obsession with expanding her family, but never in a million years did you think that you would be up for the chopping block. The emperor cackles at the look you send her.
“Oh don’t look so down, princess. If you hadn’t disappeared all those years ago, we wouldn’t have had to drag you back here,” The woman hisses down at you, and you watch in disgust as you watch Charlotte pick up a plate of sweets and begin to scarf them down, talking with her mouth full of cake, “But it’s no matter. My sons tell me that you are pregnant, so any child that you have will be taken care of. That way, you can be free for my sweet Katakuri.”
You don’t like the way she says this as if the baby that grows inside of you is nothing but a burden to be thrown away and forgotten. You grit your teeth, and take a look at the man who is to be your “husband”. Despite his rather feral look and the sharp teeth, you can see poking out from between his lips, there is a softness in his gaze that tells you he isn’t exactly happy with the arrangement that his mother has made for him. You want to shout and argue, but you know that even if you did, nothing would change. No threats that you made would be taken seriously, not when you were in the middle of Big Mom’s territory.
Unbidden, your devil fruit activates, sending a chill through the room and making Sukuna grumble and growl from where he lies pressed against your chest. Hank whines and presses himself closer to your leg, and his support makes you feel a tiny bit better about your situation. You wish more than anything that your boys were here so that they could shield you away, and you would never have to look at this horrid woman again.
“Hmm, if anything, your being pregnant shows how fertile you are. It won’t be long before you are able to supply me with a whole new host of grandchildren!”
You grimace at the way the emperor so casually says this, as you were nothing but a broodmare to be used to make her family bigger. You clutch Sukuna tighter against your chest, pulling comfort from the way his claws dig into your flesh. The pain clears your head, and you ignore Big Mom as best you can as she rants and raves about how beautiful her grandchildren will be once she has them.
Finally, Katakuri seems to take pity on you and speaks up, his voice deep and muffled from behind his scarf, “I think she understands why she is here, mother. Let me take her to our rooms.”
Big Mom lets out a massive sigh, rolling her eyes before she makes a shoo motion, “Oh fine, then. Take away my fun.”
Katakuri grumbles something unintelligible and then stomps over to you. You crane your neck, hearing it pop as you look up at him. You meet his eyes, and then he crouches down, and you come face to face with him.
He is handsome up close, the edges of his mouth broken up by what looks like stitches, but his voice is soft when he speaks, “You have little legs. I will carry you if you wish?”
You lick your lips and shrug. If it would get you away from Big Mom quicker, then you weren't about to say no.
“Please?”
You watch him set his hand down, palm up, and carefully, you turn around and sit down, keeping Sukuna tucked close to your chest. His palm is big enough that Hank can climb up with you, though most of his shaggy body spills into your lap. You hang on tight to his sleeve when Katakuri stands and begins to leave the obvious throne room behind.
You try your best to memorize the twists and turns of the castle, but it proves impossible for you with how the inside dips and curves do not make any sense to your brain. Katakuri is silent all the way up until he makes it to his room, and he is careful as he sits you back down on the floor.
The two of you stare at one another, at a loss of words, until his voice fills the room, “You were to be my wife, but your parents denied my mother.”
You frown. That didn't sound correct. As much as Mihawk and Shanks had broken your trust, after that first call with the warlord after you had sent them away, you still felt like you could believe them. Mihawk had explained everything that he knew about the destruction of your home. He would not have omitted any details to you unless he truly did not know about them. Your chest aches, and you have to force the urge to burst into tears just thinking about the two men. You missed them so much. You wanted them here to steal you back and to get you and your baby to safety. You tune back in when the giant of a man keeps talking.
“Maybe you would have been happy with me if your parents had not disrespected my mother, but I can't see that you will never be happy here. Not when you have someone that you already love.”
You look at Katakuri in surprise, brows raised as your curl your free arm around your stomach. Hank, who had been silent other than his occasional growling at the men and woman who had escorted you to Big Mom, suddenly sat up, the big lug loping forward to sit in front of you, his tongue lolling out as he began to pant. You stare at him, brow pinched in thought. The dog has always been an excellent judge of character, and it makes you think that maybe Katakuri might be someone you can trust.
“I do, and they will be looking for me,” you tell him, and Katakuri nods like he already knows this.
And he did. The fourth son of Big Mom had done his research after Wiseman had made it known that you had been found. He had told his mother to leave you be, that they had already decimated your island, killed your family and subjects. The only ones left of the Nammu Isles were you and your brother, so it's not like either of you had much to offer the Charlotte family.
Unfortunately, she had scoffed and raved at him, rolling her eyes and stuffing her face, declaring that neither of you was useless. The Nammu Isles were known for their beauty, the string of islands, and the people who lived there. To be married into any of the families was to be considered an honor, for your children would retain the beauty that their parents harbored.
Katakuri had grumbled and backed down, not having wanted to argue with his mother, but seeing you now, belly swollen with child, and your eyes looking at him like you knew things that he didn't, made him think that his mother had bitten off more than she could chew.
He already knew that your lover was Red-Haired Shanks, one of the other four emperors of the sea. Katakuri had not thought it wise for his family to go steal you away from your home, but there was little he could do or say once his mother had an idea in her head. It is then that your words properly register in his mind, and he looks at you, tilting his head to the side.
“They?”
The temperature in the room drops several degrees, and he watches this tiny slip of a woman look at him in pity, but there is a mean grin that paints her lips.
“Yes, they,” you murmur, and Sukuna turns, glaring at Katakuri with oddly familiar golden eyes, “Red-Haired Shanks, and the warlord. Dracule Mihawk.”
-----
Mihawk and Perona sail straight to the New World. They arrive in half the time it would have usually taken, the ocean seeming to be on their side and aiding them in getting the two of them there swiftly. The warlord feels broken, his heart aching from the pain of having you taken and the knowledge that it was Shasks at fault.
He should have known that the redhead would never be able to keep his damn mouth shut. He never should have trusted him with you. Dracule should have demanded that Shanks leave you and your island alone, to never return even if it would have made you upset.
Maybe then Mihawk would have never felt compelled to tell you about his involvement. Maybe then you would have never sent him away in the first place, and none of this would have ever happened. He grits his teeth, rage flooding his chest only to be swiftly discarded into grief and disappointment. The warlord had trusted the other man, had opened up his heart, and told Shanks that he loved him not a week after Benn had rushed to them to tell them about you being abducted.
Shanks looks at him with wide eyes, standing before Mihawk after the warlord had hung up the transponder snail. The redhead swallowed harshly, the drunken stupor clearing from his eyes as he licked his lips.
“You... Did you really mean it?”
Mihawk opens his arms for the redhead, and Shanks falls into his chest. He wraps his arms around the younger man, lips pressing against his brow.
“I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it, Red.”
Mihawk forces the memory away, bowing forward to rest his elbows on the desk inside the ship and hold his face in his hands. Everything had been going so well for the three of you, and in the span of a month, it had all gone to absolutely shit.
They hadn't even gotten the chance to come and see you before the Big Mom pirates had shown up. Had been waiting for your call so that you could tell them that you were ready for them to come back home, to the island, to Hank and the other animals, to you.
Fuck. How had things gone so bad so quickly? Mihawk knew that the blame truly lay on both of them. Him for keeping your past from you, and Shanks for not knowing when to keep his big mouth shut for once. Dracule still feels so angry, so betrayed that the other man had given you a drunken accident or not. How was he ever supposed to forgive Shanks for this? How were they supposed to go back to how things were?
That's not even considering your brother. Tomura would be a problem in the future when they get you back. Your brother would never let Mihawk have you alone ever again, especially once he figures out that you are pregnant with their child.
“You know, if you had listened to me in the beginning, this probably wouldn't have happened.”
Mihawk sighs heavily at the sound of Perona's voice. He looks up to see her leaning in the doorway, arms crossed, and a scowl on her face. He feels bad enough over Shanks and his own blunder. He doesn't need the reminder.
“_ would still be on her island, and her home wouldn't have been destroyed. You didn't even go see her home with Shanks, Mihawk. I know you're mad at him, but it would have been the least you could do. He's just as upset she is gone as you are.”
Mihawk glares at her, hands clenching as he drops them to the table and shoves himself up, a snarl on his lips, “This wouldn't have happened if Shanks knew how to be responsible for once.”
Perona rolls her eyes, lips pursing, “Do you know how many times I've almost slipped up? How could Shanks have known that someone would recognize her name? It's not like he went around to every island on the Grand Line asking people if they knew who she was.”
He grits his teeth. Mihawk had already thought about that, but it was easier for him to blame Shanks for this than to completely blame himself, no matter how unfair it was.
“He's a fool,” Mihawk grumbles, and despite how much he wants to hang on, to cling onto that anger, the warlord begins to feel himself start to deflate. It used to be easy to cling to those feelings of negativity, but after the past months, with having Shanks back so close, and with you there to temper any hurt feelings, it was hard to stay upset.
Because at the end of the day, Mihawk still loved the redhead, even if Shanks had broken his promise. He hears Perona snort and stride across the deck, dropping into the chair across from him.
“A love-sick fool who needed you,” she grumbles, and Mihawk sighs heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose and giving her a look under the brim of his hat.
“You don't have to remind me, ghost girl, but the faster we get to Big Mom’s territory, the faster we can get _ back.”
Perona sighs and stands from her chair, rounding the desk and pulling her father figure in for a hug. Surprisingly, Mihawk doesn’t fight against her, so Perona tightens her hold, keeping her voice sure, “You’ll get her back. I know you will.”
-----
Shanks stares at the ruins of his home, heart in his throat, and hand clenched against his chest. So many memories, all gone with just a few words that came from his dumb mouth. Benn stands behind him, a silent pillar of support that the redhead appreciates. He clenches his eyes shut, teeth grit before he opens them up, and forces himself to step toward his home.
He is halfway up the path when a furry body blocks his way, and Shanks can't help but feel a shot of relief when Neal bleats at him, those beady eyes looking at him with recognition, and Shanks carefully reaches out, hoping to not get bit by the goat. Surprisingly, Neal butts his head forward and allows the redhead to pet him for a second before he grumbles and stalks off to his ruined pen where he stomps at the ground. He shakes his head and follows after the goat, frowning down at the foot imprints that dot your front yard.
He takes in your ruined gardens, heard breaking all over again when he looks at the destruction. You would be devastated to see this. All of your hard work from over the years gone in an instant. Shanks forces down that guilt that eats away at him and focuses instead on the rage that had begun to slowly simmer in his gut. Emperor or not, the second that Big Mom had heard that he was your lover, the woman should have dropped any kind of plans she had for you.
Shanks and his crew had held off Kaido from joining the battle at Marineford and won. It pissed him right the hell off that Big Mom thought that she could send out her family and drag you back to Whole Cake without thinking that Shanks wouldn't do anything about it.
Did the woman think that you were just some run-of-the-mill woman that he would drop within a couple of days? Well, if so. Charlotte had another thing coming. Shanks has to fight down his haki, lest it unravel, and send what remained of his home crashing down. He sucked in a deep breath, face set in a terrifying scowl as he walked through the open door.
Shanks pushes the door open, a grin on his face, “Oh honey, I'm home!”
He can hear you leave the kitchen, arm open just in time for you to slam into his chest, and a wide grin on your face as you stare up at him. Shanks laughs jovial, matching your grin as he tightens his grip around your waist and lifts you up, spinning you around in a circle.
“Welcome back, love,” you greet him, and Shanks will never tire of hearing you call him that. He dips and presses his lips to your own. The kiss chaste but full of affection, “How was your trip?”
He walks past the living room, trailing his hand over the blackened wood as the rage builds and builds inside of him until Shanks feels like he might explode. He eases through the kitchen and looks down when his foot kicks something. He bends, picking up the warped bowl, the name Hank lovingly painted on the side of it. Carefully, he puts it back down and moves on.
There is hardly anything that is salvageable, but Shanks would make damn sure that he would store away and preserve anything that he found. You deserved that much. The books and record player that Mihawk had given you are melted. The maps along the far wall of the living room are nothing but ash that now coats everything in the room.
Shanks stops just outside the bedroom, heart in his throat before he pushes the door open and walks inside. This room, since the door was shut, had been preserved much better than the rest of your home. He looks at your bed and swallows dryly when he sees that it is covered in an assortment of his and Mihawk's clothing. He wonders how large you've grown in the time the three of you have been separated. You must have started to wear their clothes the larger your belly became, and the mental image of his shirt streatching over your stomach makes a heat pool unbidden in his gut.
But he shoves the feeling away for now. There would be time for that later, once Shanks was able to piece his family back together. With a sigh, he sits on the bed, bending at the waist and holding his face in his hand. He pushes past the anguish that wants to choke him and makes himself think.
He would sail straight to Whole Cake, and if Big Mom and her family did not give you back to him, then he would destroy them. There was a reason why no one could unseat him from his emperor status. Red-Haired Shanks and his crew were not ones to cross, so he would show the other emperor what it meant to cross him. He could only hope that you would be okay until he got there, and if you weren’t? The entire world would feel his fury.
With that decision cemented in his mind, Shanks stands from the bed, then scoops to grab your favorite shirt that he knows came from him. He would dress you in his clothes once more when he got you back, would find you before Mihawk could, and present you to the warlord and beg both of you for forgiveness. Shanks was not one to give up, so he would grovel and plead at your feet until you gave in.
Shanks takes one last look around before he leaves the house, meeting Benn back outside where he is watching Neal. His first mate looks up at him when Shanks steps to his side, “Ready to go?”
The redhead nods, lips tugging into a frown when he spots the goat and the three chickens that mill around his hooves, “He’s not going to like it, but we aren’t leaving him here.”
Benn huffs a laugh, “Come on, I’ll help you wrestle him on board.”

Tomura sets sail not long after Mihawk leaves the island. He isn't about to wait around for the redhead, and thankfully, they've not been here long enough for many of his crew to disembark. He gathers the ones who followed him on shore up and orders them to meet him on board, barking commands to get them underway and back to the New World. They would take the same route as last time and hopefully catch up to the warlord before he made it to Whole Cake.
It still pisses him off that the two men had found your island, but it's not like Tomura had been there to stop them. You probably trusted the other men more than you would ever trust him, your own brother, and the thought fills him with guilt.
He had been the one to leave you behind, after all. Maybe if he had stayed with you, had been the big brother that you had always admired and loved, then none of this would have happened. He sighs and runs a hand through his white hair, his brow pulled tight in a scowl. There was no point in thinking about what-ifs, however. Tomura had lost his chance to see you grow up and get to know you when he left you here, but he would help save you, and he would know his little sister again.
The navy would be pissed that he was going off orders, but he didn’t care. Delemur had joined the military to keep himself safe, away from Big Mom and her hoard of children. But he would take on the emperor herself if that was what it took to get you away from them, you were the most important thing to Tomura, and he wouldn’t let anyone stand in the way of that.

How's Rudy in the Teen and Adult AU? Does Wally eventually meet him?
Tumblr media
Wally actually met Rudy when he was 6 years old, when they all went to Australia after Charlie's mother's passing. He was supposed to stay with Syd and his mother while she went to her family and took care of some stuff, but the kid wouldn't leave her side, so she took him along with her.
There, he met not only Rudy (whom he was really afraid of, for some reason) but also his grandfather (again, he didn't want to be around him) and Irwin, the only other adult he realized he could trust because he knew about Yipper Cards (which is all it takes to win Wally's heart at this time).
The visit was rather short, so Wally knows he has another uncle on his mother's side, but doesn't remember anything except for the fact that "he was an evil adult".
During the showtime, Rudy tries to bring Wally to his boarding school to make him "a perfect little lord", but Charlie manages to send him to other schools so Rudy won't have him. Yes, one time she sent him to an all-girl school but in her mind, it was still better than Rudy's (spoiler: it wasn't >>> operation: F.U.T.U.R.E.).
Tumblr media
In the Teen AU, we don't have much info about him.
He lives in Sydney with his family. His wife is named [REDACTED], and he has one baby daughter named Irene and another 8-year-old son daughter child daughter Iris.
He still runs his boarding school and is a renowned Villain in the Australian KND space (known as "Mister No Smile"), able to take down two sectors (Sector PH and Sector VC) all alone, turning all 10 members into little perfect, educated lords and ladies. It is called the "smiling accident", because it's said they could see him smile before being taken down.
He could be considered the "Father" of Australia. Sector SY is always at war with him, and the only one specifically trained to go against him since the "smiling accident".
Wally has no contact with him at this moment.
Tumblr media
In the Adult AU... oh boy... where to start?
Wally knows about him, and since he returned, he's even more afraid of him.
Rudy's also one of those villains trying to get Lou, and he knows Lou won't go hard on him because he's Charlie's little brother. Which gives him an advantage.
His family grew up to three daughters dolls. Iris is the older. She's 18 but still under his influence. Irene is 10 and the youngest one, Iresine, is 4.
Rudy has a strange fascination for dolls, especially vintage, porcelain ones, and creepily applied it on his daughters, who need to follow his rules. They don't talk, they don't smile, they sometimes just sit next to him as he works, doing nothing but... looking pretty.
The only time they are "alive", it's when he has them fight KND, every time those annoying kids try and attack his boarding school.
Their mother?
What's a "mother"?
In all reality, their mother Garbielle actually loves all of them a lot.
She managed to convince Rudy to let them attend public school, and that's when they are finally able to be themselves and enjoy life.
Iresine is very active, loves to run, jump, dance and play sports! She's actually very good at dancing!
Irene has a strong desire to join KND, not to fight them. She loves what the kids do, and knows her father is... not good. That's how Sector SY sometimes gets some infos about Mister No Smile's future plans...
As for Iris... Iris...
...
that's not her... his name. His name is Michael, and he is actually best friends with his cousin Joey. But there's NO WAY Joey will ever know about his real identity. He doesn't want to lose him or that fun side of his family. Even if... Irwin is a bit suspicious.
Also because he has too much fun with Joey!
Also, to clarify, Michael is not trans. He's a cis male. His father wanted all girls, so he's forcing him into being one. Which... is still not ok AT ALL.

Hi there! I’m not exactly sure how to give links to songs, nor am I sure if I send this other places, but I do have a song I’d like to give for the event! “Your Love’s Been A Long Time Coming”, by Elvis, of course, and my only other request is that you have a good day/night! 💜
12 Days of Ficmas
Day 5: Your Love's Been a Long Time Coming
A/N: Aw thank you so much!!! I'm sorry this one is late. We're still dying of some kind of plague in my house and it's been rather distracting. But here it is!
(Also, as an aside, I have a whole fic series based on this song. If you're interested, find it here.)

You've had one bad relationship after another with men that hurt you over and over again. It's gotten so bad that you've sworn off dating altogether. It's just not worth the pain.
That's when Elvis collides with your life. No, really. He actually collides with you. He rear-ends your car in the middle of the night on your way home from work because you're too broke to get your tail lights fixed. He's ready to read you the riot act until you roll your window down and turn your tear-stained face up to him. When you realize who he is you stammer and apologize and cry even harder, but he's gentle and kind and he makes sure you and your car get home safely. Still, you're pretty sure you've seen the last of him.
But you haven't, not by a long shot. He turns up on your doorstep two days later with a bouquet of pink roses and the keys to a brand new station wagon. You sit on the porch and talk for a bit until he tries to persuade you to go to dinner with him. You're deep into telling him no when your son comes to the door to announce that whatever your mom is cooking is ready to eat. It's a veritable nightmare and you bury your blushing cheeks in your hands.
“What's for dinner, bud?” Elvis asks over you. Your 5 year old son, Benny, replies happily.
“Meatloaf!”
“I love meatloaf. Is there enough for me?” You sit up and shake your head. There's no way you're letting him come into the house you share with your aging mother and young son.
“We always have extra. Come on.” Benny pushes the screen door open and Elvis stands up before you can stop him. You want to sink into the floor as he stands in your tiny, messy living room, but Elvis continues to be gracious and sweet. He puts his arm around your shoulders and pulls you in close to him, whispering in your ear.
“It's okay, honey. I like it. It's nice and homey.” He pulls back and smiles down at you. You're not sure how it happens, but somehow you end up with Elvis Presley at your small dinner table, laughing and chatting with your little family. He and your son bond instantly over cars and football. He even manages a talk with your mother about church music and she blushes and calls him a ‘nice young man’. The conversation is easy and you seem to get along in a way that he hasn't experienced in a while. There's something about you, a simplicity and authenticity, that he can't get enough of. When the night comes to an end, you walk him back out to the front porch and he kisses your cheek and tells you he'd like to see you again. How on earth are you supposed to say no?
After a few more weeks of spending an inordinate amount of time together, you find yourself in his bedroom at Graceland. You know he's married, but that doesn't seem to matter to either of you as he kisses you deeply, his hands on your hips. He starts to move down your neck, pressing his lips to the sensitive skin under your ear.
“Elvis?”
“Hm?” He doesn't stop kissing your neck.
“Why do you like me?” Now he pulls back and looks down at you.
“Honey, I've been dating beauty queens and movie stars for so long, I forgot what a regular woman is like. You're a real person and I like who you are. You make me laugh and you're kind and warm and you don't see dollar signs when you look at me. You're smart and beautiful and you're a good mom. I've been waiting for someone like you for a long time.” You look up at him, your eyes glassy with tears.
“I think I've been waiting for you too.” He smiles and dives into another deep kiss and neither of you looks back. You shed clothing left and right as you stumble to the bed, his hands running over your naked skin. He presses his lips anywhere he can get them and lays you on the bed gently. In a matter of seconds, he has you spread open for him, his tongue dipping into your pussy between hard licks over your clit. Your hand goes to his hair as you whimper and moan and get closer and closer to your climax. He's relentless in his pursuit of your pleasure and you've never had a man try this hard to get you off. He feels your walls flutter and tighten on his fingers and hums, the vibration making you see stars. It doesn't take much longer for you to cum, your pussy throbbing around him as the lightning bolts run in your veins.
“God, you're pretty when you cum.” He whispers as he sits back up, situating your ankles on his shoulders. You bite your bottom lip as he teases your sensitive entrance with the head of his cock. “You ready, baby?”
“Yes, oh yes please!” You whimper breathlessly as he starts to slowly push into you, giving you time to adjust to the size of him. It feels so good, being filled like this, and the pleasure threatens to overwhelm you. When he bottoms out, his whole cock inside you, he stops for a second and groans.
“You're so tight, baby. So fuckin’ tight. You're perfect.” You moan as he slowly pulls back and then thrusts forward, filling you again. “Does it feel good?”
“Feels so good! Oh!” He smiles down at you and kisses your ankle as he starts to pick up a steady rhythm of fucking into you.
“You got such pretty little sooties, baby.” He kisses your ankle again as his hand caresses your foot, his dick sliding in and out of you at an even pace.
“God, Elvis, this is amazing.” You moan as he rearranges your legs to be around his hips. He leans over on top of you and whispers in your ear.
“I want you to stay with me. Not just tonight.”
“But aren't you–”
“That's over. Has been for a while now. I want you, baby, for the long haul. Tell me you want me too.” He holds both of your wrists in one of his hands above your head and runs his fingertips down your body with the other.
“Yes, Elvis. Yes, I want you.” He grips your hip with his free hand and starts to pump into you faster and harder.
“Good. I'm gonna cum, baby.”
“Me too, oh god.” He slams into you hard and deep and you hit your climax simultaneously, both of you pulsing and panting and melting into each other. As your bodies relax and you come down from your shared high, he presses his sweaty forehead to yours.
“I love you, baby. I know it's quick, but I've loved you since I first saw you.”
“Oh, Elvis. It's not quick. This has been a long time comin’ for me. I love you too.” He smiles and rests his head on your chest.
“It has for me too, baby. It has for me too.”

The large wooden doors creaked open, letting in the warmth of the spring air. The midday sunlight casting a golden light through the church and reflecting off the wooden floor boards. Families made their way outside as the Sunday service came to an end, shaking hands with the preacher, your father, as they travelled back to their homes. You stood next to your father as he said goodbyes to the regular attendees, your mother on the opposite side of the entrance talking to your grandparents about nothing of interest to you. Today’s sermon went longer than expected, not for any particular reason, mainly because your father loves to talk and doesn’t know when to stop. You were definitely ready to go home and enter the peace and quiet of your bedroom, your personal hiding spot away from all the worries of the world. Although the church was never louder than the sound of a whisper, it could never replicate the true tranquillity of your solitude. The quiet breeze of spring winds and the tunes of singing birds was the white noise behind the conversations of the small crowd who still lingered around the church. It truly was a peaceful environment to be in. The hiss of the wind quickly turned to the sound of revving engines moving closer.
Suddenly, the open roads outside the church roared with motorbikes, all speeding past most likely towards the local bar for an early start to day drinking. After all, it was one of their favourite group activities.
The Outlaws.
The town's biker gang who believed they ran the world. Maybe they did. Everyone in the town either feared them or really feared them. There were few people who the gang truly respected.
You watched intently as members passed by in a hurry, until a small group of them slowed down to a stop in front of the church. It was the leader of the outlaws, Minjun, and a few of his right hand men. Oh yeah, and not to forget his godly handsome son, Jongho. Although he was on the younger end of the gang, he was one of the strongest members who could end any fight in seconds and leave it unscathed.
Minjun removed his helmet and placed it on the seat of his now switched off bike, the rest of the group following his actions but remained seated on their bikes. Your eyes fell upon Jongho as he removed his helmet, he ran his hands through his dark locks to remove any visible disarray of helmet hair. His boba brown eyes gazed over at you, making you shift in posture and subtly adjust the sleeves on your soft pink cardigan. Bundles of nerves begin to grow in your stomach as you avoid his eye contact. His stare was piercing, and the small smirk on his lips let you know that he could see the effect he had on you. Jongho dismounted his bike and accompanied his father, still holding his intense gaze on you.
“Sorry we couldn’t make it to prayer today, Father,” Minjun strode up the stairs with immense confidence. “Had a lot of important business to attend to, you understand?”
“Of course, Minjun.” The pastor responded, lending a hand to shake. “You know you’re always welcome here at any time.”
Your father was one of the few members of society that the outlaws respected, and the only person whose opinion about them seemed to matter. You never understood why your father’s opinion was important, especially since they didn’t seem to spend time caring about the rest of the community who feared them. Maybe it was because he was the preacher, or maybe it was because Minjun and your father were friends in high school. You would never suspect that a biker with multiple criminal charges would be friends with the leader of the countryside church. Perhaps they were more similar in their youth.
As your father and the outlaws leader discussed unimportant events that held none of your interest, something else attracted it. Your eyes were caught, yet again, by Jongho. The way he stood behind his father, not appearing challenging to him but still holding a certain stance of confidence. His club vest hung off his broad shoulders and over a worn out black hoodie, the back having the outlaws logo which was deep purple and black in colour, his custom name stitched underneath. Compared to the rest of him, his face was soft. His features were gentle and his lips always had a slight pout on them. Brown strands dangle over his forehead just passing his eyebrows, covering up his coffee coloured eyes. His eyes always held such intense emotions where it was hard to truly know what he was thinking. You weren’t aware of how concentrated you were on examining his features that you didn’t hear the constant call of your name.
“Y/N! Are you going deaf, dear?” Your father chuckled as your attention was drawn away from the handsome man.
“Sorry, what were you saying?” You asked, a light tinge of red covering your flustered cheeks. You knew Jongho caught you staring, he always does. Maybe because, in a way, he was always staring at you too.
“Minjun was asking about your bible study group.”
“Oh yes,” You cleared your throat in hopes to cover up any awkwardness. “I run the church bible study after school a couple of days a week to help the students.”
“Maybe I should sign Jongho up for one of your classes.” Minjun mentioned, a scoff came out from behind him.
“Like hell I’d go to that.” Jongho moved back to his bike, grabbing his helmet and placing it atop his head, his face now covered by the visor. His engine revved thunderously and he sped off down the road, following the trail the past members left into the town. The rest of the gang was soon to follow but waiting for Minjun’s lead, who was saying his goodbyes and well wishes. The church was soon back to its more quiet environment, the sound of engines now fading into the distance.

The Elf feat c.jh
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⚠️ Warning ⚠️
♪ English is not my first language so sorry if there's any mistake.
♪ This post is just pure fiction. This does NOT represent Jongho in any way.
Note: Hi my shining stars! I have a cold so I'm probably not uploading things as often as I would like. But don't worry, I feel a bit better today so I have brought you the next one: Jongho! I hope you have fun reading it as much as I had writing it. I love you all, my shining stars!!!
Tumblr media
The Elf tradition. Something he discovered on social media and later he saw in his hyungs. Also it was an activity he wanted to experience with his son since he was born but obviously he couldn't because his son was too young.
But now his kid is three years old so Santa has finally 'sent' one of his elves to his house. Apple, as his son named it. And today is Jongho's turn to move the elf. He is so excited for doing so, more than your son searching the elf in the morning. You actually think that the father is more enthusiastic with this whole thing than the son. Cute.
The matter is that your son has been playing lately with a tiny cactus you have as decoration and, as his parents, you are worried about him getting hurt with the plant. The best solution would have been to hide the cactus but you want to teach your son that if you tell him to not do something for his wellbeing, he should not do it. But, again, he is three years old. Kids are curious and the more you tell them no, the more they want to do it.
So, taking advantage of having a wicked elf in the house, you can teach your son what can happen if he continues playing with the cactus. And that's exactly what Jongho has prepared for this morning. He has put some band-aids on the elf's butt pretending to be hurt and, next to the poor 'pained' elf, he has placed a note.
"Apple! What did you do?" That's your son's little voice after running all over the house searching for his elf. The kid knows that neither of you can touch the elf so he just stands there, with a little pout and both hands on his cheeks. You, who can't see your baby pouting without going to hug him, crouch down to his level, obviously hugging him and pointing at the piece of paper next to the elf "Look, he left a note. Give it to daddy so he can read it for us" and that's exactly what your kid does.
Taking the paper carefully so as not to touch the elf, your son goes with Jongho to hand him said paper and the male, being as dramatic as he can be, reads the note for his son "Tip of the day, never play leap frog with a cactus".
"Who would think of it?" Your son puts his fist on his waist before turning to look at his elf again, he's not worried about Apple anymore "Well darling, Apple was bored and decided to play with the cactus" you decide to defend the elf, just curious of what your son will respond, but instead of the kid, is the father who talks next "See? He played with the cactus and got a puncture" Jongho gives him a little tap on the nose, leaving the note forgotten on the table "But I don't play leap frog with it!".
"But you can also get a puncture, love" Jongho replies to him, imitating his posture until the kid turns to look at his mother for help but you just nod at what your husband has said. Defeated, your son looks at his hands, thinking about how much it would hurt if he gets punctured and suddenly raises his hand "I will be careful next time, I don't want a puncture on my finger" the kid moves his index in front of your face, exactly the same way as when he wants you to give him a kiss because he has gotten hurt, and that's precisely what you do, give him a kiss on his finger.
And even if that was not what you had planned with this mischief, the face your son is giving you is sufficient to make you two look at each other in defeat "You love to play with that cactus, uhm?" Jongho says, taking your son in his arms to tickle him a little "Then remember, you have to be extra careful with the thorns, okay?" and your son only nods, taking his father's hand to avoid further tickling.

Imagine Darrel Curtis not wanting kids after Ponyboy and Sodapop.
Imagine, Darrel Curtis, the spitting image of a once amazing father, all the right qualifications to parent a kid just fine, the image of masculinity, not wanting kids.
In the 1960’s no less, a time where the perfect American dream idealistic family was on the rise, and fast. The thought that you were put on this earth to have a happy and successful life, and the way to do that is to have a family. Be a father, or a mother. Raise a child.
When Darrel’s parents die he realizes that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
He’s shopping for groceries when he first realizes how much of a hastle it must be. He’s deciding what to buy, what will cost less to support his brothers when he sees a woman, much older than him, cradling a baby on her hip and a toddler crying behind her. ‘What a hastle..’ he thinks to himself. She’s holding two things in her hands, then reluctantly places one back on the shelf.
He realizes, that’s exactly what he’d just done.
Next it’s a dad at the park, at that small field he and the gang play football. He’s playing catch with his son, throwing a baseball back and forth with it landing firmly in their gloves.
He’s picking up the football tossing it around in his hands because Ponyboy had just left him to go talk to that Shepard kid he just saw walk in.
The father catches the ball one last time before the kid shouts at him, the father gives him a thumbs up as the kid discards the gloves and runs to go hang out with another group of boys.
He realizes, that’s exactly what just happened to him.
Finally, the mother and father with the two twins, a boy and a girl. They look fed up as the two pre-teens bicker in the middle of a parking lot. They’re fighting over the seat of the car they get to sit in, who called shot gun.
They completely disregarded their father who was already climbing into the front seat to sit next to his wife as the argument started. The husband and wife look at each other in annoyance.
He turns back to his truck to find Two-Bit with his feet on the dash, and a distraught looking Ponyboy and annoyed Sodapop in the back seat.
He turns back to the family, choosing to ignore the gang. The mother and father look like they’ve gone through this before, and they’re just about tired of it.
He realizes— things don’t change when you get ‘the dream.’
It’ll always be the same.
He won’t be happier struggling to afford groceries with kids when he already does that.
He won’t be happy being under appreciated by his son, because he already is.
He won’t be happy with petty arguments all the time, because there already are.
He’s not happy like this, he didn’t choose this. And if he had— he still wouldn’t be.

ShadowJadePeach Headcanons:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Art belongs to @splendentmoon)
How it began:
Things have been rather quiet in Megopolis, no big bads, no world ending disasters, and no celestial shenanigans. Nothing but the occasional mortal losing control of their newly gained power or low level yaoguai looking to make a name for themselves. Something that the entire monkie crew greatly appreciated.
Macaque lounged on his favorite branch of his favorite tree on FFM with a handful of little monkeys. He reflected on the events of the past few months. He and Wukong had begun to mend their friendship, they still struggled to talk without fighting and still couldn’t touch each other without remembering past hurts, but they were making good progress. Macaque even allowed himself to hope that maybe one day they could rekindle their past romance.
Additionally Nüwa had made an appearance. She informed the crew that she wanted to learn more about the world that her son loved so much. She spent a large amount of her time with either MK or Wukong.
Wukong and Nüwa did NOT get along in the beginning. Wukong essentially hated her (for both justifiable and ridiculous reasons). Though surprisingly, it didn’t take long for the two of them to find common ground. Now they’re both very close……………a little too close for Macaque’s liking.
Macaque quickly shook that thought from his head. Nüwa is MK’s mother, of course she was going to be apart of Wukong’s life. And it was a good thing that they were growing close…………………….wasn’t it?
Macaque decided to make a stop at Pigsy’s Noodles, if he was gonna drive himself crazy he wasn’t gonna do it on an empty stomach. He dropped inside a portal and entered the shop, where he was instantly greeted by the entire crew.
Sometime after enjoying his well earned meal, Wukong and Nüwa entered the shop and to his surprise they were hand in hand. After being greeted by the others, Nüwa spoke up announcing a shocking revelation, she and Wukong were a couple. The two go on to explain that they had been together for a while now and had finally decided to reveal it.
The two gods were tackled into a hug by their son, while everyone else congratulated them. Meanwhile Macaque was stunned speechless, never in his wildest nightmares could he ever imagine Wukong falling in love with someone else. But honestly after everything that happened between them, how could he possibly expect Wukong to still have feelings for him.
His heartbeat raced, his throat tightened, and his eyes began to sting. He needed to get out of there immediately. He took a deep breath, put on his best fake smile, and approached the happy couple. In his usual teasing manner, he congratulated the couple, before excusing himself and dropping into a portal.
He landed on the beach and instantly dropped to his knees, letting the tears cascade down his cheeks. He didn’t scream or try to fight off the little monkeys that ran to comfort him, he couldn’t even bring himself to be angry. How could he, he had long since ruined his chance with Wukong, he’d hurt him and MK in so many unforgivable ways, he was lucky the two even wanted to be around him. Meanwhile Nüwa was not only superior to him in strength, charm, and status, she gave Wukong his successor and son MK, the very being he adored the most. So he resigned himself to wallow in the misery of his own making.
A few weeks passed since the incident, Nüwa officially moved to FFM, while Macaque avoided the two lovers as much as possible.
Macaque lounged in his tree in complete silence and misery, until he was approached by Nüwa. She called out to him, concern clear in her voice, wanting to understand why he was upset and avoiding everyone.
Macaque wanted to yell at her, to make her feel an ounce of the pain he was feeling. He turned to look at her, expecting ridicule in her viper eyes. But the moment amethyst met jade all he saw in her eyes was genuine worry, as a result all the anger he felt disappeared.
She asked him again what was wrong, so he decided it was best to get his feelings out in the open, even if it meant the risk of Wukong banishing him from his home.
Macaque explained everything in detail, his still lingering feelings for Wukong, the hope he had for their relationship, and the devastation and anguish he felt as a result of their announcement. He assured Nüwa that he has no intention of coming between her and Wukong, that he intends to leave them be, and simply wants to wallow in peace. He walks off, leaving behind a stunned Nüwa, not noticing the cheeky smile that grew on her face.
Several weeks passed by and Macaque hadn’t seen or heard from either Wukong or Nüwa. Something he was thankful for at the moment.
Suddenly out of nowhere, Macaque found himself tied up in Lao Tzu’s diamond snare. He tried to break free but his shadows wouldn’t respond. He then noticed Wukong out of the corner of his eye, but before he could ask for help, the king grabbed him and threw him over his shoulder, then jumped on his cloud, and headed in the direction of the deep caves.
Macaque struggled vigorously, pleading with Wukong to let him go, but Wukong never responded. The further they went the more panicked Macaque became, fearing what the king will do to him once they reached their destination.
Once they reached a particular cave, Macaque had ceased his efforts, and simply resigned himself to his demise, praying for a swift end.
Wukong soon put him down and rather than cold stone, Macaque found himself on the largest, comfiest nest he’d ever seen. In shock he looked around the cave and was in awe of what he saw.
The cave floor had been lined with fluffy purple carpet, the ceiling was decorated with various lavender veils, fairy lights, and many hanging plants, mostly moonflowers, in one corner laid a book shelf filled with his favorite stories, a station with various art supplies, and a tv set with dozens of dvd’s of various plays, dramas, and musicals, and in another was a large stockpile of his favorite snacks and drinks.
He soon felt shifting in the nest, and felt the diamond snare slip off his body. He turned around to see not only Wukong but Nüwa as well, each holding a small chest in their hands.
Before he could ask, both opened their chests. In Nüwa’s sat three Jade and silver necklaces with fine black silk cords, in the shape of a moon, a sun, and a star. In Wukong’s sat three silver bracelets with charms attached to each, a plum, a peach, and a mango.

In that moment Macaque realized what had happened, he had been courtnapped by Wukong and Nüwa. He stared at the two of them in stunned silence, as Wukong began to explain everything.
His feelings for Macaque had never faded, but for the longest time he felt he had no right to express so. Even after they began to reconcile, he had assumed that Macaque no longer loved him, and settled to simply maintain a friendship. His relationship with Nüwa was unexpected, but he had wanted to give himself a chance to love again. But after Nüwa informed him of Macaque’s confession, he realized he still wanted a relationship with Macaque. So he and Nüwa spent the last few weeks preparing everything.
Nüwa chimed in making it clear that she has no qualms with sharing Wukong with another, especially with Macaque and hopes the two of them can now properly bond together.
Macaque finally finds his voice, and expresses his feelings on everything the two just revealed. He is beyond happy that Wukong still loves him and while he is hesitant about the idea of having to share his king, he believes it’s possible so long as it’s Nüwa. However he’s not ready to be Wukong’s mate again. They still have so much bad blood between them that they need to work through. As well as various other issues to resolve. So, he’d prefer to take things slow.
Not to mention it was unfair that the two of them had time to prepare courting gifts, while he was empty handed.
This got a hearty laugh out of the two gods, who were more than happy to take things at Macaque’s pace.
Wukong takes Nüwa’s hand, lacing their fingers together, he then reaches for Macaque’s hand only to pull back, not wanting to make Macaque uncomfortable. Macaque in response reaches out, not grasping Wukong’s hand, but instead hooking their pinkies together. Giving Wukong a reassuring smile.
The three sat together in comfortable silence, looking forward to what the future holds for them.
Currently:
The trio are a V polycule, with Wukong in a romantic relationship with both Macaque and Nüwa, while Nüwa and Macaque are platonic partners.
The Monkie crew had two bets set up regarding Wukong and Macaque, the first one was for how long it would take the two of them to confess their feelings, and the second was set after Wukong and Nüwa announced their relationship, for how long it would take for the two monkeys to have another falling out (MK won both bets).
Macaque and Nüwa became close friends through gossip, the two will dish about anything and anyone for hours on end, though most of the time it’s just Macaque retelling the adventures of his youth with Wukong while Nüwa listens intently.
The two also bonded by organizing Wukong’s “treasure” room, and generally repairing the stone palace, restoring it to its original glory.
Nüwa is aware of the fact that Macaque is FtM, though in her case, she knew from the moment she saw him, as the creator of monkeys she can notice the minute differences that others don’t and that Macaque doesn’t bother to disguise (she informed him she knew).
Macaque and Nüwa don’t have nicknames for each other, but Macaque will usually refer to Nüwa as his gossip bud, while Nüwa will refer to Macaque as her sister-wife (which he actually doesn’t mind).
All three have a taken a specific role in MK’s training, Wukong teaches combat, Macaque teaches strategy, and Nüwa teaches magic.
Wukong and Macaque still have their occasional fights, with Nüwa standing at the side, not interfering, but still trying to mediate.
Whenever the fights get particularly intense, Nüwa will wrap her tail tightly around the two and press their ears over her heartbeat, to help them calm down and recenter themselves.
When Macaque gets injured/sick, Wukong and Nüwa act as his doctors, though they have a tendency to go overboard.
If Macaque is preparing for a new performance, Wukong and Nüwa will immediately offer to create the stage sets and props.
When Wukong goes through another self loathing mood, Macaque and Nüwa will start flirting/complimenting him nonstop, if that doesn’t work they drag him to their nest and cuddle with him for the rest of the day.
Whenever someone flirts with any of the trio, Nüwa will always keep her partners from attacking them, citing that the fools aren’t worth their time.
However if someone insults or gets handsy with any of them, Nüwa is immediately ready to end the offender’s life, and she’s very graphic with her threats.
The trio have three separate date nights every week.
Wukong and Nüwa’s date nights are at home study dates and art projects.
Macaque and Wukong’s date nights are always in quite, uncrowded places, such as the park, the library, and mom and pop shops/resturants/cafes, though they do make an exception for the theater and the movies.
Their group dates can be summarized as Nüwa wanting to experience/explore a new thing/place while Wukong and Macaque tag along as her bodyguards.
These dates usually end in the trio being attacked by stubborn yaoguai or being run out of the place, and the trio spending the rest of it at Pigsy’s, while MK scolds his parents for their recklessness.
While it’s still a long while coming, Macaque has already prepared a courting gift for his partners, a trio of silver rings with (Mihou♥️Wukong♥️Nüwa) engraved on them.

Christmas Colds
Tumblr media
no warnings other than buck and eddie
being dorks
Tumblr media
Christmas was always Christopher's favorite holiday, they'd go all out with decorations since Eddie could remember. But now that Chris was in El Paso, he thought decorating was useless, just one more thing for him to worry about. Naturally he talked to Buck about it, what did he not talk to Buck about.
Buck reacted the exact opposite of how Eddie expected. He expected Buck to get sad for a moment, since he loved seeing what Eddie and Chris did to the house.
Eddie sat on his couch, beer in hand, Buck right next to him. The TV was on, playing an old telenovela that Eddie and Chris used to watch together all the time. Chris wouldn't stop talking about it when he still lived in LA, only now did Buck have the time to sit down and watch it with Eddie.
Buck's lips pursed against his beer bottle, a frown when he finished drinking "You're seriously not going to decorate this year?" Eddie huffed, setting his beer onto the coffee table "I told you, Chris isn't here and it'll just be a hassle to put up and clean" The dirty blonde hated that. Why did Eddie have to be deprived of Christmas spirit because his son was gone? Or simply because it was a bit of a struggle to put lights and a tree up? He wasn't giving up.
The next day while Bobby made lunch for the 118 the topic of Christmas was brought up again. "I have no idea what Mara wants for Christmas this year, we already have most of Denny's gifts. Mara says it's enough that she's here and Santa doesn't need to get her anything" Hen sighed, pushing her glasses up her head to rub her face. "Sure must be lucky to not have to get your own kids Christmas gifts, Buckaroo" Chim teased. He knew that at least half the gifts for Jee-Yun came from Buck, despite his and Maddie's refusal.
"Does Chris want anything sent to him in El Paso?" The 118 turned to Eddie after Chim's question. The brunette just shrugged, to which Buck decided to butt in. "You guys know how Eddie normally goes all out for Christmas? Well he decided not to this year since Chris isn't here. How dumb is that!"
The team just stared at Buck, Hen chiming in "If my kids weren't here, I wouldn't either. It's too much stress to put it all up, then take it down and back in the attic" Bobby placed the lasagna at the table, salad in the other hand "Athena is big on Christmas so we decorate every year regardless" Buck's 'broody pout' was on his face "Not that you can this year"
Buck spent the entire shift trying to convince Eddie to decorate, saying he would help put the decorations away after Christmas, but he wouldn't budge. Without his son, Christmas wasn't the same for Eddie. Just another day with old memories.
Eddie had a 24-hour shift that Saturday, and that gave Buck enough time to decorate. Only problem was, he had the same shift. He couldn't just call off, Bobby knew Buck's fake sick voice from his real sick voice. He was dedicated. Eddie's house was getting decorated that Saturday.
The LA winters were almost never harsh, a decent mid 50° F (10° C) and the wind was never too bad. So Buck ruled out standing outside in the cold for long periods of time to get sick. His next idea was rain. But that was also ruled out, there was no chance of rain the next few days. He ran out of ideas, so now he needed an improvise.
He came up with the idea of hosing himself in the cold, then taking a cold shower, and sleeping with minimal clothes on. It was fool proof to him. Only he didn't have a hose. So he called Maddie, she had a hose, and would normally go with his bullshit ideas.
"Maddie, my favorite sister, dear Maddie" Buck spoke once she answered the phone. Her sigh could be heard through the phone "You're either high or have a horrible plan that you'll regret and blame me for allowing it" She knew him too well.
"Evan Buckley. That might just be your worst plan ever" Maddie scolded him like a mother after he told her his idea. “And our hose broke at the end of summer when Jee was playing in the yard!” Chim yelled from the background. Of course he heard. When were those two not together?
Now Buck needed a different plan, he needed to get out of work that weekend to decorate Eddie’s house.
When he got home from his shift he started a cold shower, kicking off his sweaty clothes. He stepped into the shower, the water surprising him. He took one of the fastest shower of his life, just trying to get out of the cold water. He put on boxers and walked out on his balcony. He wanted nothing more than to rush inside under a blanket but he was going to stay outside till he was dry.
After about half an hour he stepped back inside, climbing up his loft stairs and plopping down on his bed. He almost instantly fell asleep.
The next morning he was disappointed when he wasn’t coughing, sneezing and his throat wasn’t in pain. He got ready for work like he didn’t just try to do something so idiotic. Maybe it was a sign from the universe, not that Eddie believed in it, but maybe somehow he manipulated the universe so he wouldn’t have a decorated house.
Buck was getting ahead of himself, maybe he wasn’t just trying hard enough. That was it. Probably..
When he got to the station he saw Eddie in the locker room, and he decided one last shot wouldn’t kill him. He started walking but Chimney stood in front of him “No more bothering that poor man about Christmas lights and a tree. Can’t you decorate your own place” Buck already did, it’s just not the same as Eddie’s house.
Chimney wasn’t giving up, not letting Buck go to the lockers till Eddie left. Then he just went back up to make lunch with Bobby.
Buck spent the whole shift trying to ask Eddie to decorate, but Chimney was always right there and more than willing to punch Buck (as they’ve learned when Maddie ran away). So he had to go home and figure out what to do so he could get the weekend off.
When the blonde got home he kicked off his shoes, exhausted he just climbed the steps of his loft, crashing against the soft blankets Maddie bought him.
Buck didn’t remember falling asleep till he woke up with this horrible itch in his throat. He got up and drank some water, it was still dark out. He read the time on the oven, 4:19AM. He grumbled and grabbed his phone, ringing Bobby.
“Buck?”
“Sorry did I wake you and Athena?”
“Don’t worry kid, why are you calling so early”
“I’m not gonna come in for work today, I’ve got an itchy throat”
“You head back to bed Buck, someone can cover for you”
When they hung up he put the glass of water in his sink, climbing back up to his bed. The shift started at noon. He had the perfect opportunity. At the cost of his health, but a week of a few coughs and sneezes was worth it.
After Buck got more sleep than what he expected, 7am. Sunday. His body wanting to stay in the bed, but he knew he needed to get this done within these next few hours. He climbed out of his bed, dragging his feet down the steps and sliding his shoes back on. He didn’t bother changing from the clothes he was in the night before, he knew Eddie wouldn’t mind if he happened to come home early.
Buck slid on his jacket, walking out his apartment and starting his Jeep, making his way to Eddie’s house. Once he arrived he unlocked the door with his spare key, closing it and locking it behind him. He walked to the hallway and opened the attic, bringing down the Christmas decorations.
He coughed as the dust rose, covering his face with his shirt. He brought them all down to the living room. Next he had to bring down the tree.
After an hour and a half of struggling, and debating on calling Maddie to bring the 118 too many times, he got the tree down and up.
Buck thought about making garland, keyword thought. He decided to just use tinsel, he wasn’t going to miss any more sleep over this.
After almost two hours, the ornaments were up on the tree. The blonde was exhausted, starting to really regret the sick idea. Buck rummaged through boxes, finding stockings. One with an E, the other a C. He smiled as he hung them up on the fireplace.
Buck spent the last few hours just perfecting everything, wanting to do the lights last. Finally around 11, he started to unravel them. Only God knows how he could’ve gotten so badly tangled in the lights, he just sat on Eddie’s couch, admitting defeat.
When he heard the sound of Eddie’s keys unlocking the front door he panicked, just sitting on the couch, waiting to get scolded by Eddie.
When Eddie walked in, facing the Christmas decorations, he just stood there. Most definitely confused. That was till he saw Buck, tangled in the lights on his couch “Buckley, I told you I didn’t want it decorated”
He walked up to the blonde “Cap said you were sick, did you fake sick to do this?” Buck wish he did, but he decided the real thing was best “I may have purposely gotten sick” Eddie shook his head with a soft laugh, carefully unraveling the lights from Buck.
Bucks cheeks were warm, sweat slowly dripping from his forehead. Eddie wasn’t letting it go unnoticed, but his first priority was to get him out the lights.
When he finally got Buck untangled, he helped him up and to his room “Chris is gonna love the house when he sees it, but he will most definitely not love you being sick on purpose” Eddie walked to the bathroom, running cold water on a washcloth, waking back and putting it against Buck’s forehead “If I get sick you’re covering my shift”
Buck softly laughed and nodded, lying on Eddie’s bed, the blanket over him “I’ll cover your shift Eds” The brunette smiled, turning on the fan of his room.
After Eddie got himself some dinner and ate he made his way back to his room where Buck was asleep. He laid on the other side of the bed, a hesitant hand going up to Buck’s loose curls.
He pushed them back, not seeing the other man’s eyes open slowly. Eddie had a smile as he ran his fingers through Bucks hair. “Did Chris like it?” Eddie looked down and nodded “He loved it, he loves anything his Buck does. You might’ve convinced him to come back”
Buck smiled and closed his eyes again “That’s good, I worked my ass off for him” Eddies hand slightly shook, he never felt so hung up about Buck, sure he had a few thoughts about him on occasion but who didn’t? It was god damn Evan ‘Buck’ Buckley, six foot, super strong, great with kids, he was amazing.
Eddie’s hand froze, and Buck noticed, opening his eyes as he spoke “Ed-“ He was cut off by lips against his, an awkward kiss. Eddie pulled away after a second. “Shit sorry Buck, I don’t know what came over me” He pulled his face away, keeping his distance.
Till Buck pulled him back for a kiss, eyes closed with a smile. The kiss was just as awkward, but they were both just as into it. When the two finally separated for air, Eddie spoke “If I get sick I’m kicking your ass Buckley”

My Heart, My Ruin (Chapter 6/?)
Tumblr media
Dragonstone
36 ac
Rhaellas pov
We all stand in front of the funeral pyre where Grandsire lays dead. He passed in his sleep with a smile on his face, Father says it's because he's with Rhaenys again.
It's a lovely thought, and probably true, but I know Aunt Visenya won't like it. She never did like how close Rhaenys and Grandsire were, but she accepted it.
I try not to move much, I started my moonsblood just the night before and all I have to say is I'm glad I'm wearing black.
I remember the first time I woke up with my moonsblood. It was a moon after Maegor's wife passed, I woke up in excruciating pain in my lower abdomen. When I lifted my covers to call for a maester I saw blood, so much blood from my core. I don't care how many lessons a girl has about their moonsblood, she will never be ready for that sight.
So here I stand as a Valyrian Septon chants as blood leaks from my core and feeling like a knife is twisting in my belly.
I was a sobbing mess when I heard Grandsire passed, but none was as broken as Father or Aunt Visenya. For his Father has left him, he has no one to guide him besides courtiers. And Visenya has lost her final sibling, the only other person who understood what she felt when they conquered Westeros. They both lost someone dear, but I only lost a Grandsire who barely spoke to me if he didn't have to.
He always preferred Aegon and Viserys over me and Rhaena. From what Mother says he was trying to convince Father to marry another seeing as Mother had two pregnancies and failed to give him a son. Thank the gods Father ignored him.
I breathe in the cold salty air that always has a darker edge that you can only find here. I've always loved the smell here, Mother and Aegon prefer the scent Driftmark brings with it's spices and overwhelming saltiness that seems to stick to your skin.
Rhaena grips my arm as Vhagar moves forward to light the pyre. She was hit the hardest out of me and my siblings. She always wanted his attention, wanted to feel his love that he always gave Aegon and Visery. But no matter how hard she tried, he probably wouldn't be able to tell us apart.
“Just a bit longer Rhaena, then you never have to feel his disappointment again.” I whisper to her as she glares at the pyre.
With one look at her I saw the rage and fire in her violet eyes. I knew her sobs weren't because she lost Grandsire, it was because she would never be able to show him, he was wrong about our worth. To prove we are more than just broad mares that only need to be wed off.
“We're more than he ever thought of us, we are the riders of Dreamfyre and Meraxes. We don't need him to be breathing to prove him wrong. Because there are more like him, and we'll show them, we'll show them why they bent their knees to Grandsire. Not because of him, but because of his sisters.” I swear and Rhaena nods as she stands straighter watching as Vhagar lights the late King's pyre turning him into worthless ash in the wind.
I watch as courtiers who never even spoke to my Grandsire sob and talk about how wonderful he was. I have to fight a scoff each time someone stops me saying how sorry they are and how he was a good man.
You would think he didn't burn their homes to the ground if they didn't bend the knee. I think as I roll my eyes as a drunk lord I know never even saw my Grandsire talk about how amazing he was.
I finally find the person I was dying to speak to since the news had reached my ears. I waste no time making my way over to the balcony he is leaning against.
I already know what he is looking at before I even reach him. “He is now riderless, a dragon without a rider is a cruel joke.” I say as I watch Balerion sleep where we had just burned his rider.
Maegor shakes his head with a sigh. “No, it is too soon.”
This peaks my interest as I turn to look up at him. His jaw is set in a tense line, his eyes are set on the dragon and with one glance I can see the embers of an inferno burning within them. I know he may say it it is too soon, but I also know he doesn't care anymore.
“And who made the rules on when you can claim a dragon? What is it he used to say, ‘you claim or you die? And a Targaryen without a dragon isn't a Targaryen at all’?” I say knowing the quote will hit close to home for him, for it always did for me until I claimed my Meraxes.
He only hums as he looks down at me. I fight the blush that threatens to rise to cheeks as he pushes a strand of hair behind my ear. “Tell me, what does it feel like when you claim a dragon?”
I think about his question as he turns back to stare at the Black Dread. “It feels like your soul is complete. It feels like home, like the world could burn but as long as you have that beast you could make it.”
He hums and looks down at me again before turning back to the dragon we both know he will claim in the coming days, if not tonight.
I take this as a sign that the conversation has ended, but I have one final thing to say. “I don’t know if he loved you, I hope he did but Grandsire never was good at showing you his affection. But I want to know, you don’t need him, you have proven yourself beyond what anyone could imagine already. And you much farther to go, you don’t need him, never did, and neither did I.”
And with that I turn on my heals leaving him to his brooding and thoughts. If only we knew of the darkness on the horizons, maybe my brothers would still be here, maybe it would be Rhaena as Queen instead of me. But of course these are just maybes, and there is nothing we could have done. For how are you to defend yourself from a threat you didn’t know was coming?

YESYES YES YES YE S
The sun is just starting to rise as Izumi eases her way back into the apartment, with her muscles aching pleasantly and her ever growing guilt complex aching not so pleasantly. She can still feel Dabi’s teeth in her shoulder and Shigaraki’s gloved hands at her waist. She can still taste cigarette smoke and cheap booze in the back of her mouth. She’s pretty sure there’s bruises that look like finger prints peaking out from under the hem of the shorts she’s wearing (so close to an old burn scar that she pointedly doesn’t think about) but it’s too dark to see still and if she doesn’t look too hard then she doesn’t have to remember how good it felt and then she can actually mean it this time when she says she’s not going to go back.
She’s guiding the door closed, carefully keeping the knob twisted so it doesn’t make a sound, when the lights flick on and her jump makes it slam closed under her hands.
She knows what she’s going to see before she turns. For half a second she debates not turning at all and just walking right back out the door she just came through, but there’s no way she would be allowed to go, and the idea having to explain to Mr. Aizawa why the cops were looking for her as a runaway gave her hives. (The thought that Shigaraki and Dabi would let her right back into the bar with sharp smiles and sharper kisses until she could convince her mom to calm down was even worse, actually. She didn’t want to think about why.)
“I’m home,” She says, not turning away from the door. She gets a sharp tug to her hair (not by a hand. No. Her mother would never dare to raise a finger to her… a quirk on the other hand) and she finally turns.
Her mom is frowning, still wrapped in the ugly dressing gown that Mitsuki swears was high fashion before Izumi was born, with her eyes narrowed at her. “Don’t know what time it is?” She hisses through clenched teeth. Around the room all the little trinkets on the shelf start to rattle with Inko’s temper. “I was just about to call the police and tell them you were missing! Honestly!”
It would be easier if Izumi shut her mouth, fell to her knees, and begged for forgiveness. Once she might have. When she was quirkless and alone in the world other than her mother. She would have thrown herself to the dirt under Inko’s heels and sobbed out broken pleas until she couldn’t breathe.
(She could smell smoke and taste cheap booze. She could feel gloved hands on her skin and teeth in her shoulder. She could hear a voice that sounded suspiciously like Dabi’s asking her where her fucking fire was.)
Izumi didn’t feel like doing things easy.
“Why should I come home? It’s not like you want me here?”
“Izumi!”
Izumi’s laugh is something harsh and white hot. Tinged with smoke and alcohol. A molotov thrown into a once quiet family home. “What do you want me to lie?! That’s all we do isn’t it! Lie and say that we’re one big happy fucking family! Maybe I got tired of lying.”
On the shelf across the room, a little glass bunny shatters, sending shards of green glass hurtling through the air. Neither of them look at the carnage.
“Why can’t you just act like a proper girl?!” Inko snaps back. “Ever since you developed this quirk you’ve been different! Sneaking out at all hours of the night, talking about being a hero, ignoring poor Katsuki when he comes to see you! I hardly even recognize you anymore!”
“You never did!” Izumi all but screams it at her, hellfire and decay in every word. She breathes hard in the stunned silence that follows, smelling ozone instead of smoke now. “You only saw what you wanted me to be. A perfect, helpless little girl that you couldn’t marry off to your best friend’s monster of a son and close your eyes to all the bruises and burns she couldn’t hide. So you know what? Fuck you.“
She turned, ignoring the sharper tug on her hair that bright tears to her eyes as she grabbed the doorknob hard enough to dent the metal. “Where do you think you’re going!?” Inko demanded.
“On a run. Don’t wait up.”
Maybe, if she was lucky, Dabi and Shiggy hadn’t gone to sleep yet and she could work the thrumming rage out of her system. If she was unlucky, well, it wouldn’t be the first time she had ran a few miles just to calm down.
Okay I 10000% hard agree with femslash Shigadabi. But I also raise you: lesbian shigadabideku? I feel this would add another level of fucked up sexual awakening.
Kissing you on the mouth
Imagine the corruption. Imagine sweet Izumi full of hopes and dreams of being a hero coughing after shotgunning a smoke from Dabi’s smirking lips. Imagine her hissing at Shigaraki that they will never be the same right before her back hits the wall and she feels chapped lips on hers and a tongue chasing the venom of her words back into her mouth. Imagine Izumi swearing every time she comes home covered in hickeys and smelling of smoke that she’s done. It’s over. There’s no way she’s going back. Imagine her in an all too familiar bar the very next night telling a laughing Dabi to shut up as she climbs into her lap and slams their lips together so hard she tastes blood as well as smoke.
Imagine.

#if martha could become the joker in one timeline if bruce died then she had to have SOMETHIGN going on up there mentally. im all for it#im a 'martha wayne may have been secretly batshit' truther. subscribing to bruciemilf's portrayal of the wayne parents#danny fenton is not the ghost king#dpxdc#fem danny fenton#female danny fenton#martha knight au#dp x dc crossover#dpxdc crossover#dpxdc au#dp x dc au#dp x dc#giving danny fenton psychological issues since 2022 folks#points at marthadanny: she's a hot mess with unprocessed trauma and psychological prblems. she's hanging on by a thread#LISTEN TO AFTER ALL BY CHRISTINE EBERSOLE THAT SUMS UP MARTHADANNY ENTIRELY#bruce your mom is even crazier than you. how is that possible. her trauma has trauma.#marthadanny: i dont wanna talk about my feelings OR my trauma i want to raise my son. go away#martha: who knew that being a child hero without any support would result in deeply rooted psychological issues and paranoia in spades#marthadanny: im fine (<- experienced liar. is not fine. please god someone restrain her before she claws someone's eyes out)#she has eyebags the size of the savanna and wields red lipstick like a weapon. she's going to rob a rich man blind. she has a baby to feed#what would a mother not do for her child? what heights would a mother not climb.#and you're shaken to your soul with an ache that you cant erase. like the tears you never cried but still keep scrubbing off your face.#there's a pain you cant imagine. the little talk that keeps you wide awake that somehow turns to bold determination that you wont ever make#the same mistake. so you've got to feed your little future and ensure her talent poise and charm might just grow up and save you after all#fun fact bruce and danny's birthdays are exactly one week apart. danny is Feb.12 and Bruce is Feb.19. take that as you will :)

randomly hits you with the flowey brainblast
Ok ok hear me out but!!! I think Flowey eventually becomes comfortable living with Toriel at first he just kinda. Sneaks around like a little creep... You know how stray cats will occasionally just hang out for a bit before leaving? I think that's what Flowey did, like he'd just watch Toriel while in little hiding spots because he hadn't really decided by that point if he was ready to go back to being a son along with the anxieties that she wouldn't think he's good enough the way he is and that she'd want Asriel and not him :Ccc... I think he'd occasionally get Toriel a glass of water and tuck her into bed when it gets late or she seems to be relapsing... He'd probably get a little frustrated with her and give her notes sometimes that lightly scold her with like a glass of water/little snack next to it...
At some point I think Toriel would catch the little home intruder and attempt to repay him by letting him stay with her, making him food cause she'd assume he has nowhere to go and that's why he keeps breaking in. Not that she's necessarily wrong about that but he TECHNICALLY has Papyrus to go to. After that he more openly comes and goes and will occasionally talk to her but still be too nervous,,, they chat every now and again about things, sometimes wacky and mundane and other times kind of deep. Toriel and Flowey grow close, and she'd eventually tell him he's like a son to her and he doesn't have to leave if he doesn't want to because she's more than ok with him being there. Flowey can't take it anymore so he admits it. He used to be Asriel. The reason he's like a son to her is because he is her son. Toriel just isn't sure how to process it at first. She tries to see any hints of him messing with her but she can tell this is the most genuine he's ever been in his life. They both cry a little cry a lot,,, Toriel tells him that for so long Asriel's birthday has been the hardest for her. She remembered it after all this time and marked it on the calendar. Flowey pretends to not know already because he likes the smile she gets on her face when she thinks he's learning she really cares about him.

finally watching channel zero and i immediately have so many thoughts in the first ten minutes
#random thoughts#candle cove#okay so first: the fly#obviously represents mike in some way#it was drowning in a glass which was given to him complimentary. something about struggling to feel like he belongs in his life?#like it was something given to him that he does not deserve and does not make him happy#his relationship with his wife is obviously strained. his son is mentioned so far only in relation to his career#though his mother says he's always welcome the framing in the kitchen is claustrophobic#either only one of their faces is in camera very close or they're clustered together in one half of the kitchen#his mother is a foster parent or a teacher of some kind. possibly trying to fill the void made empty#by what she views is the disappearance of both her sons#though mike said his father was out of the picture he seems shocked his mother doesn't have pictures of him around#probably not dead but has left and mike blames her somehow and views his father as blameless#when his brother disappeared mike also lost a mother. and his mother lost both her sons#their dialogue is very. distant and impersonal. no questions about each others' lives. no questions about his wife and son.#and mike seems to struggle with children despite being a child psychologist. in both times we've seen him he's been overly friendly#and strained. in the dream sequence we see him snap at the child to turn the tv off#which is more evidence to the idea mike feels he doesn't belong in his career#he may also be experiencing some kind of depersonalization of others (the mannequins behind the cameras)#possibly believing his actions to ultimately not matter because those there to witness them are not truly people#hope to see what kind of relationships he DOES form or if his sense of relationships has been completely tarnished by his brother's death#subconsciously he fears his childhood home. he possibly knows something about the disappearance of his brother#who he also talks about more as an extension of himself rather than as a seperate entity#so far no puppets. sad!#back to the framing in the kitchen. i think mike views his relationship to his mother as one which is forced#it lacks closeness but they are forced to be part of each others' lives due to the genetic bond between them#his mother fears mike is back to prod at the old wound which is the murders#it seems she's trying to cope by distancing herself and keeping her mind busy with raising children#it's notable the girl calls her miss rather than mom. more distance despite objective closeness#mike may also become jealous of the girl. he seems like he has a strange relationship with the children in his life
