The closest reference I've got is vampire cheerleaders, a webcomic that leads with the promise of cheerleaders who are also vampires and ends with the sister of the cheerleader's rival tearing through hordes of mothmen with her werewolf claws, holding the decapitated head of her enemy as she watches her sister give birth to motheggs, because her sister who was previously a monster hunter (but also bffs with a vampire, the protag of another comic) (eerie cuties was unfortunately a formative part of my media experience and that's why I'm so into genderbending now) is now the queen of the mothpeople, fated to birth their children for the rest of eternity. So like. Yeah I could see that as the lanterns. Kyle would be a cheerleader obviously but they get arrested and vanish from the comic halfway through the plot so we'll have to make some changes, but his best friend Mr kitty who is a vibrator has to stay
