younger sister of chris romero, claire was born five years after him - and only two years before their biological father walked out on his family and left her to be largely raised by her brother.  despite being told over and over that he was never coming back, a young claire would take a small backpack of her things and wait on the porch on friday nights for him to come home - surely, she thought, he had to.

she was eight when her mother remarried, and while she’d never given up on her father’s return she never had any real issue with her stepfather and the two kids who came along with him.  as time passed she was able to move on from the memory of a man who’d walked out of her life, aided by a move to new orleans when she was nine.  the change in scenery, difficult as it was at first, felt like the start of a new life with a complete family and a full heart.

while the age difference between them meant that claire didn’t really get to know augustine, watching her brother be married was one of the happiest days of her life and his divorce cut her to the quick nearly as much as it did him.

when he returned to australia claire was left somewhat adrift, but took night classes through the university of new orleans while working at a gun range, eventually graduating with a degree in hotel, restaurant and tourism administration.  the degree allowed her to move into a management position at the range.

six months after her 23rd birthday she accessed the range with two friends, drunk and reckless.  one of her shots, badly aimed, took a wild ricochet and was headed straight for her friend nancy.  claire, knowing that she’d potentially triggered her curse, made a split-second decision and pushed her out of the way, taking the bullet through her midsection where it tore through her

with two new scars and a dire warning that an inch in either direction could have been fatal, claire was discharged a couple of weeks later and began to look for an opportunity for another fresh start.  it came in the form of the mystic falls tourism board, eagerly searching for new young talent.  staying long enough to wrap things up in new orleans, claire packed her things and headed for mystic falls and her next adventure.

For anyone who hasn’t seen The Originals and wants an IN DEPTH dive into her history, here it is. I’ll summarise some stuff below though.

Ancient History

Aurora was born in southern france in the late 10th Century to Count and Countess de Martel. Her mother died giving birth to her, because of this she never celebrated her birthday.

She had an older brother Tristan whom she was devoted to. 

She is the first vampire in Rebekah’s sireline, which means she’s one of the strongest, oldest non-original vampires (that we know of, anyway).

She has bipolar disorder, which when coupled with her heightened vampire emotions caused her brother (in fear of being unable to predict her episodes) to put her through HORRIFIC torture throughout the centuries in an attempt to ‘help’ her. It’s also partly responsible for her transition into a vampire in the first place. When she was told by her brother to stop seeing Klaus, her emotions became so overwhelming she cut herself and began to bleed out. If Rebekah had not found her and given her blood, she would have died. When she was healed and calmed down by Rebekah, she took her own life which resulted in her turning.

For 100 years she was compelled to believe herself Rebekah so that Mikael would hunt her (along with her brother and Lucien, who were compelled to believe they were Elijah and Klaus). 

Recent History

She came to New Orleans to get back with Klaus and assure the safety of her sireline (by kidnapping Rebekah) back when Hope was a toddler. 

Drama ensued and it ended up with her in a sleeping spell wrapped in a rug in the Mikaelson compund. And there she stayed.

Until TRIAD helped to rescue her, awakening her and bringing her back to full strength.

Now she’s been planning tracking down Hope Mikaelson after hearing about the death of Klaus - set on getting her revenger for everything the Mikaelson family have done to her. 

A Quick Note

So I love Aurora with ALL my heart and relate to her more than any other character in the TVDU.

As someone with BPD, I don’t take too kindly too kindly to the demonization of mental health disorders that TVDU sometimes does. (Back in the day, Legacies seems to know what’s up). So although Aurora is a BAD BITCH, she’s not ‘evil-crazy’ because she has bipolar, and I definitely won’t be playing her as such. I still will play her true to her story, which includes her having bipolar (as it is interesting to me how vampire emotions would effect something like that), but as something she struggles with, not something that makes her evil. She’s angry because of what she’s been through.

Also it’s not ALL ABOUT A GUY for her, which I feel like The Originals seemed to do a fair bit with her character. It’s about the need to feel valid and loved - that’s what motivates her (in my eyes, at least, and in this RP). She was put through some of the most awful things as a response to her emotions and that’s gonna fuck you up a fair bit.

chris wood? no, that’s just kai parker you know, the 22/58 year old heretic. who’s been known to be witty but vindictive. they’ve also been called the defective for those exact reasons. i heard that they were one of the fallen who was brought back; but who knows how long that will last once everyone finds out that he's willing to do whatever it takes to keep his title as coven leader and remake the Gemini coven in his own image, even help the twins break the Gemini curse.

For the last 14 or so years Kai has been sitting, plotting while locked up in yet another prison world. He thought the odds of him getting out of three prison worlds was just vastly against him but that didn’t stop his fractured mind from thinking of all the things he could do if he did ever get out. Bonnie and the rest of the gang out there living lives to the fullest while he rotted and he would fix that, one day. He told him over and over. 

Then without notice, without a even a glimmer of hints the world around him started cracking, breaking apart. There was a moment of fear when Kai thought they finally got sick of keeping the ascendent and decided to break it and cause his world to crumble around him. Causing him to vanish into nothingness but instead of going into a dark void Kai found himself standing in the center of the Mystic Grill during a busy lunch rush.

It took him mere seconds to notice he had no magic, he had no abilities at all and again his mind went to thinking Bonnie had something to do with it. Though with his amazing people skills or maybe they just wanted anyone to vent to, he found it wasn’t just him without magic, it was the world and that was something he could work with till things went back the right way. Which he had no doubts the scooby gang would work on it.

Now that magic is back Kai is going to be working to bring the Gemini coven back in his own image, destroying everything about it that his father was once proud of, if making peace and ending the curse to keep his snot nosed nieces away from his power was what he needed to do then so be it. At the very least he could get them all to lower their guards enough and kill one at the last moment if he couldn’t break the curse with them.

Childhood: Born in Boston, Kayleigh (third generation Irish American), grew up in the city until the age of seven.  At that age, what her parents did for a living or where their money came from wasn’t her concern; she just knew that she had more toys than some of her friends, that their house was nicer, and that she had a large number of “uncles” who would visit at all hours.  When she was seven they left Boston, relocating to New Orleans.  There, she gained a whole new family that would come to visit her parents - the Guerreras.

Adolescence: Even into her teenage years, Kayleigh never really understood the nature of her family’s affairs.  She was kept sheltered even as she began to work for them, using her natural affinity for numbers to handle the books and balance the bank accounts.  The numbers were large but not astronomical, and not enough that she ever really questioned what she was being asked to do.  During this period the Guerreras became a more constant fixture in her life, and it was also in this time that her anxiety became more of an issue.  The frequent meetings in their home that often ended in yelling would leave her sitting in her closet, where her mother would bring her a blanket and something to drink until she could calm herself down.

Young Adulthood: Kayleigh was sixteen when she triggered her curse, after Francesca Guerrera insisted to her father that she couldn’t be allowed to remain part of their business unless she truly understood what she was and what they were.  Taken on what was purportedly a sightseeing tour, Kayleigh found herself at the docks looking at a man bound and weighted down with a cement block.  Despite her initial refusal, the men who’d brought her produced guns and made it clear that if she didn’t push the man into the water she’d take his place.  She did, and the sight of him sinking into the murky depths still haunts her dreams. From then on she was considered a full fledged member of her family, with all of the rights and responsibilities that entailed.

Adulthood and Present Day: At nineteen she was introduced to Jake, who wooed her with flowers and fancy words.  As one of her parents’ bodyguards he had a uniquely privileged position in gaining both their approval and her trust, and by twenty-one she was wed.  It was only after the ink had dried on the license that she began to understand his real purpose; to have her bear a child and carry on the family business.  Even as she continued working as their accountant she began to scheme, keeping herself from falling pregnant and skimming a little bit of money off the top each month to set aside as an escape plan.   Progress on that front was slowed by her mother’s long illness and eventual death, but her biggest break came when Francesca was killed and her pack wiped out, throwing her father’s business into disarray and pulling his focus from Kayleigh as she filed for divorce and prepared to flee.  Taking advantage of the opportunity, Kayleigh put all of her plans into motion and moved to Mystic Falls.  It was a quiet little town, a perfect place for her to stay safe and hope that she wouldn’t be followed.

his time at peace with hayley was some of the best he’d ever known, at the side of the woman he loved and surrounded by family. the loss of it was sudden and shocking, and has left him feeling more than a little unsettled about his place in the world.

now returned to the living, he’s eager to reunite with his family - but less eager to think about what that means in terms of the pack. reuniting the crescents would mean taking up the mantle of alpha, and jackson’s no longer sure that he’s that person.

Victor was born the younger brother within the Kenner household, the Kenners who backed the Dumas line for as long as Victor could trace back. When his older brother ended up marrying the alpha’s daughter, it was politics as was most marriages among higher ranking wolves in packs. Victor wasn’t a man who put himself in the middle of politics, he wanted to live his life to the best he could. When he was a teenager he spent his time with friends, he enjoyed New Orleans, fishing in the bayou. He was a sweet natured and fun spirited young man, who joked around and enjoyed simple life. It was then that he started sort of seeing another girl from within the pack, there was no political advantage to the coupling and in all honesty they weren’t really a couple just two kids enjoying spending time together. 

The real trouble was behind the scenes of the young wolf’s life, his family was more and more involved in the Dumas power struggle against the Labonairs, growing up around Daniel Labonair, Victor never had a personal problem with the other, He at times was a bit more serious than Victor thought was needed but at the same time Vic had no reason to be serious at the time, he was young, he wasn’t in line to be leading much of anything and certainly had no desire to. The rumor spreading around the pack was that the Labonair alpha was looking to make some kind of peace with the vampire leader of the city and having no real love for vampires himself Victor could only wonder why. After the death of his older brother and his wife, leaving behind the young nephew that Richard and Mary insisted on taking on but the young wolf was in no position to question the loyalty that his family had with the Dumas side and he certainly wasn’t involved enough to have an opinion. At least till that loyalty died the same night the Labonair alphas were found murdered in their home.

With the deaths of the alphas of the Labonair and the cursing of his pack Victor’s full attention was placed into one thing, one person, Daisy. Well he supposed it quickly became three people when they found out Daisy was pregnant with twins. Watching his pregnant girl from afar as she struggled alone with the threat of vampire attacks to the wolves happening left and right. He spent his night howling for the woman and after she gave birth and was placed under the curse same as he they both howled for the babies till the full moon allowed them to hold them once more. Two years of this and one full moon the two finally married not willing to let a curse keep them from that, nor from them having two more wonderful children after that.

For nineteen years of the kids life their parents were only able to properly interact with them once a month on the full moon when they were able to be in human form. It was one evening that he and Daisy had been separated running the woods in their wolf forms caught in a trap laid by hunters. Knowing his wife died at the hands of others and he was no where around to aid her broke the man a little inside. His once kind, smiling personality had dwindled, he was human now but his wife never got to experience the curse-free life with their children like he would. He grew colder to the outside world smiling rarely and mostly only for his children as they went without any parents for long enough.

He had expected that maybe things were turning around when Hayley Marshall showed up and ended up being the lost Labonair child that his nephew was meant to marry when they both came to age. Though the hiccup with that was the girl showing up pregnant with another man’s child and not any man but the Original Hybrid himself. Even then the pack could only think that she joining the ranks would only bring them better days, after all she was the reason the curse was broken. 

However the good was short lived, the advancements that Hayley and Jackson tried to make for the pack came at a price and getting in the middle of a war was one thing, being strong armed by the Mikaelson family was another. If it wasn’t fighting with the vampires, in fighting among wolves, it was having to deal with Esther Mikaelson taking over the New Orleans witches and forcing pack members to join them, at first it was offers, pretty words and then it became violence. Victor unwilling to break his loyalty was murdered by Finn Mikaelson while in the body of Vincent.

Now that he is back Victor doesn’t want to relive the same fate, siding with Mikaelson family only borught more trouble to the pack that they couldn’t afford. With little payout in the end as he knows that they would help Mikaelsons over the pack in a heart beat so why would or even should the pack offer their lives? With the Labonair alphas back he wants them to take their place again, sensing some hesitation from his nephew and still no word about his brother Victor is willing to put himself up as a member of one of the oldest families that followed the Dumas line. It isn’t power Victory is after, its stability for his family.

Rowen grew up in a pack not that much different from the Crescents, her father the alpha of the pack made a political alliance with the alpha of the Crescents, very ‘I have a son, You have a daughter lets join our houses’ sort of situation. Could she complain? Yes, would it do her any good? Not at all but all in all the whole thing wasn’t shit.

When she met Daniel it was awkward at first, having both father’s watching like hawks to see what would happen would make any meeting off, especially when you knew no matter what it would end in a marriage. The first sign that things were turning was when Dan suggested the two make a run for it and hide from their overbearing fathers and the eyes of both packs. That instead of doing things their father’s ways they learn more about each other in a less structured way and that was how they ended up on their first date.

The rest as they say is history, after a short time no more than a year the two were wed and she moved into the Crescent lands and integrated within the pack fairly easily. The two were married four blissful years before Rowen found out she was expecting Andrea, working along side her husband to get a sort of peace between the wolves and vampires and have things settling within the quarter. Which caused strife throughout the pack, half not wanting to back peace with the vampires and others wanting any sort of peace they could get. Dan and Rowan wanted to make New Orleans a peaceful place for their daughter to grow up in and with the deal to united the Labonair’s and Dumas bloodlines and give the pack one united Alphahood rather than split them between two and cause great divide. 

However Richard’s need to be right and in charge had gotten the best of all when he attacked their home, killing Dan as he tried to protect Rowan and their one year old daughter, then killing Rowan leaving her to wonder the fate of her child in death. 

Being back now Rowan is in search of her husband and wants to know what befell her baby girl, believing that the monster that is Richard Dumas killed her shortly after her mother as well as suffering what she assumes is the lost of the unborn child she had yet to share the news of with her husband. Not realizing yet that she has brought her pregnancy back with her.

Bio.

kol mikaelson was the second youngest son and third youngest child of esther and mikael. growing up he was probably the most in tuned child with his magic and would spent time with his mother practicing. he enjoyed the use of magic and resented his parents for being turned and unable to practice.

Over the centuries, the male and his families drifted apart, running from his father. nik and kol were so wreckless and similar in their temper and violence that they often classed heads more than the other. soon kol was emitted from always and forever, and travelled the globe researching witchcraft. soon he was repeated daggered by nik for a punishment for his actions, and his likeliness to turn against nik.

he was daggered for centuries before waking in mystic falls after being undaggered by elijah. soon after, he was killed by jeremy gilbert and the mystic fall gang. before the collapse of the other side, finn and kol were pulled back from the other side and inhabited a witch in new orleans. kol wanted to break away from his mothers influence and met davina claire. davina took kol’s heart harder than anyone else had in the past.

soon kol rejoined the family fold and despite their differences, he protected hope and did what he needed to for the family as much as he could. the family reconciled and soon kol became a part of always and forever, stepping up after elijah and niks sacrifice.

Liv is perfectly canon, when she had Tyler take her life to save himself she ended up in peace. 

Being brought back to life was a shock to the system but at the same time Liv knows she deserves a chance at life that was stolen from her and her brother Luke. Liv is one able to shake off anything and she is ready to land on her feet and get her shit together, living the life she knows she wants.

She wants to find her brother and make sure they both can make it out of town together. As far as she is concerned no one tried to protect them like they seem to be trying to help Jo’s kids. So she isn’t putting her neck out for them and unlike before she is keeping the upper hand not allowing Elena and her friends to take over her life nor her brother’s if she can find him.

Harper is the eldest daughter of Dex and Darcy, at the age of ten her parents moved her to Mystic Falls and she went to the Salvatore boarding school for gifted youth. Learning how to control her magic and her anger to keep herself from accidently hurting anyone and triggering her wolf nature. 

When her mother kicked her father out of the house when she was 12, Harper went through some of her father’s old things that were hidden away in the attic. Finding out more about her father’s side of the family more so his mother’s hunting heritage. As she missed her father being in the house she started to learn more and more about the family’s hunting trying to find a way to more deeply relate to him. 

Thankfully the Salvatore school also offered training that would aid one in becoming a skilled hunter and so she took up more extracurricular activities on top of the ones she already had. Though in knowing Hope she realized the best way to become one of the best huntresses that her family had ever seen was to become something powerful enough to take out anything, like a tribrid. She figured she was already more than half way there, she just needed to figure out a way to make herself a vampire without losing her magic.

Klaus is of course canon up to his death, I feel like he might have had a moments worth of peace but when his daughter’s soul wasn’t at peace he found it difficult to be at peace. Since his death was meant to be a freedom for her, from the Hollow from threats but instead it only made it so he wasn’t there to protect her when she needed it.

He still feels racked with guilt for not being able to protect Hayley and as much as he hated Elijah for it he feels himself just as much to blame. He is the original hybrid and yet couldn’t protect the mother of his own child. 

Coming back to the land of the living he wants to ensure he can protect his loved ones even if it means bringing back an old trick. Last time his hybrid army didn’t work because he didn’t pick the right wolves for the job, once he finds a human doppelgangers blood he’ll start vetting for the right wolves to join him.  While trying to right the wrong that happened to Hayley and unbind her wolf nature.

Hope is essentially as we meet her in the pilot of Legacies; a loner, without much in the way of personal connections.  The loss of both her parents and her uncle in such a short time was a devastating blow to her, and the degree of distance from her remaining family has also been a challenge.  Her relationship with the residents of the Salvatore School can be charitably described as indifferent - in the case of its headmaster, sometimes outright hostile.

After Klaus and Elijah’s deaths, Hope began to research the darkest of magic - the kind that wasn’t available in the school library, the kind that required unsavory contacts along with some owed favors and not a small amount of money.  Fortunately money wasn’t a problem for her.  And in time - less than she’d expected but more than she’d hoped - she found an answer in the unlikeliest of sources: The Hollow.

It was fitting, in her mind, that she use the thing that had destroyed her family to reunite it.  It didn’t come without a price, nothing did, but what they agreed on was much less than Hope had been willing to give.  A bargain was struck, power granted, and a spell cast that rocked the world on its foundations.  The only evidence of what she’d done was a small spiderweb of black lines travelling up her neck, easily hidden from view, and the change in her attitude as she waited for the three intended targets of her magic to return to Mystic Falls.  It was only a matter of time.

malese jow? no, that’s just anna zhu you know, the 18/1000+ year old vampire. who’s been known to be sentimental but scheming. they’ve also been called invisible jewel for those exact reasons. i heard that they were one of the fallen who was brought back; but who knows how long that will last once everyone finds out that anna was born a fairy and over the centuries lost most of her memories as malivore consumed her loved ones and agreed to be turned into a vampire to escape the same fate.

notes: pearl does say she has 400 years on Damon in age, but i am running with this being 400 vampire years and not over all years because that matches with malivore really well.

Anna was born a fairy, the daughter to the Fairy Queen Pearl. She never knew their home realm. The fairies having found their way to this one before she was born. The belief and love that could be found from the humans was more than worth the risks of leaving their realm and they built a life here. 

Anna was born in the village that would one day be called Mystic Falls (the year after klaus). The fairy people having found their place with the wolves that called the place home and would be just as open when the mikaelson’s found their way there. The wolf pack, the royal fairies and the witches (from the mikaelson and future bennett lines) had a peaceful life there as Anna grow up.

Anna doesn’t recall alot of her time in the town. Everything is a blur from the number of people and memories she had lost due to Malivore, but she remembers a boy. A young wolf called Leif that she grew up with, and she found herself impossibly in love with him, even when she knew it was not what her parents wanted for her. That she, as a princess, would be in line to marry a powerful fairy from their community. But her mind was made up on him. At least till he did what all the other wolves in the town did, and killed someone triggering his gene. The sweet love of their teenage years soon came to a end as he was set out to be the next alpha, changing him from the person she knew. 

Anna was happy in the village, she kept to the shadows, Her mother a powerful figure, a leader and easy to hide behind, and Anna did not hate it that way. She recalls the day the vampires were made, when the blood filled the town and screams could be heard for miles. The moment still burned into her mind as her father was drained of his blood right in front of her, Leif already died on the ground. Her mother grabbed her hand, teleporting them away from the village, away from all they knew.

The fairies moved, rebuilt and tried to find a new home in a new location, but this was short lived in fairies years as malivore was made and started hunting them across the global. 

It was in the 1400s that Anna made her peace with vampires, when she met one with a kind heart (this connection is open to anyone), and when Pearl was poisoned by dark fairies wanting to over throw her, Anna begged them to turn her mother, to save her by turning her into a vampire. 

Years later as Malivore started running low on creatures to eat, and the fairies themselves were becoming a myth. Pearl turned Anna into a vampire to protect her from Malivore. Anna is pretty sure she had siblings once but she doesn’t remember them as they were caught by Malivore and the memories were wiped from Anna’s mind, till only the memory of her and her mother remind.

After this, we follow the canon events in that Peral and Anna met Katherine Pierce/ Katerina Petrova and befriend her. Which leads to Peral ending up in the tomb, and we see Anna playing whatever part she needs to get what she wanted. Peace was beautiful when Anna found it, the memories of her family rushing back to her, and staying with her when she was returned to life.

Anna returned a few months ago when the dead first started coming back, keeping her head down, she has only stepped out of the shadows to open her mother’s old apothecary business on the main street and did so when magic was gone, as she wasn’t sure if it was ever going to return.

Jasper Westphall is the child of Grayson Gilbert and a witch called Annette Wesphall born in 1987 (making them the half brothers of Jeremy Gilbert and the cousins of Elena Gilbert). Annette was 18 when she met Grayson at a college party, and though most were there for fun, Annette was there for something else. Annette was from a powerful witch coven that got it’s power from how many members it had, drawing a small amount of magic from any children born into the coven and giving it to the leader. So with power on the minds of Annette’s coven, she was sent to grow the coven and a trip to America, lead her to the party where she met Grayson, a young man well into his college journey to become a doctor.

Her pregnancy was what the coven needed, growing the coven by more than one. A pregnancy that was never shared with the birth father. Annette gave birth to her kids ( triplets ) in England and raising them with the coven. Jasper’s life with his mother was conflicting. His mother loved him, but not more than she loved the coven and being skilled at magic was one of the only ways to get his mother attention. But due to their power being ‘gifted’ to their coven’s leader, they were always going to be less powerful than a normal witch. Something that lead Jasper to seer magic. A type of magic that needed more than just brute-force to master.

Their lives were changed dramatically when an earthquake shook the city and their mother was killed along with many members of their coven, giving Jasper and his siblings the fresh start they needed, slipping away into the night, hoping the coven would just believe they were dead and move on without them. The death of his mother, caused Jasper to look into his birth father, tracking the man to Mystic Falls when it turned out the man had died just the summer before in a car crash. Leaving the Westphall siblings truly alone in the world. So they did what any normal young adults would do and they went a trip around the world, backpacking till they had seen everything their hearts desired. They celebrated their 25th birthday in new orleans. A place Jasper realizing was an easy source of money with his seer powers.

Jasper had been dating for a while when the visions came, seeing a future in which he dead shortly after he turned 25. His girlfriend growing more and more panicked as the possible day got closer and closer, before she took things into her own hands and placed him under a sleep spell just the day before Kaleb, Jasper’s twin was kidnapped by Esther and Kol took over his body. Jasper still unsure if the death she had seen was his or his brothers. Wondering if Esther was meant to take him instead of his twin.

For some reason Jasper’s girlfriend never came back for his and he was under a sleep spell till he woke up when magic was ended 2 months ago, making his way to mystic falls in the hopes of finding some kind of family, even if it was just someone related to his father to help him out. Unknown to Jasper as there was no magic, but with every other remember of his coven having died over the 18 years that he was asleep, he now holds the powers of their coven and is by default the coven regent/leader, and another witch would have to kill him to take the magic back from him.

Biography

Cassandra Charlotte Wright was born to a middle class family who had fallen pregnant upon travelling through Mystic Falls in 1863 with their three children. It was unbeknownst to them that she had been magically implanted into the womb of Rebecca Wright following Valerie Tulle’s brutal assault at the hands of Julian. Valerie believed her unborn child to have not survived following the attack, and boarded the ship across the Atlantic where she committed suicide and became the first vampire-witch hybrid. Her biological father, Stefan Salvatore, was unaware of the baby’s existence, and eventually became a vampire himself.

Growing up, Cassie was always a handful. One of seven, the young girl was the troublemaker of her brood. With three older brothers, two younger brothers and a younger sister, Cassandra was a true middle child, and acted out in desire of attention. Whether it was getting in trouble whilst her mother homeschooled her, or throwing rocks at passing ships, the blonde was always landing herself in hot water. By the time she was seventeen, her mother had organised for her to marry a upper class banker in the hopes she would settle as a married woman. The engagement lasted four months before Cassie managed to send her suitor running, much to her parents displeasure.

By the time she was twenty, Cassandra’s parents were at their wits end with her. Following multiple failed engagements that were planned by her parents, they demanded she marry by the end of the year, or they would financially cut her off and send her packing. Not long after her parents presented her with the ultimatum, Cassie became engaged to a local farmer who had inherited his parents fortune. Unfortunately, despite her parent’s eagerness to marry her to the farmer, Cassandra led a romantic affair with his sister, a woman Cassie cared for deeply at the time. They were ultimately caught out in their affair, and her fiance promptly ended their engagement. Her parents were furious with her actions, and immediately cut her off in the hopes she’d turn herself around.

Despite having no money or support, Cassandra spent a month travelling through Virginia. It was not too far from Mystic Falls that Cassandra met her first vampire. She was immediately enamored in the man, and she followed him around demanding he tell her what he was. Luckily for her, the vampire took a liking to her forward and out going personality. However, the vampire’s interest truly sparked when she placed her hands on him and began siphoning magic. For the first time in her life, it felt like she was complete as the magic filled her veins. Having never been exposed to magic before, she had never been aware that she was a siphon. The vampire decided to keep her, using her as his personal witch as he travelled the country. The pair became lovers, and Cassie learnt what it was to truly live.

Following a year of travelling the country, Cassie had made up her mind about what she wanted. Whilst she cared for the vampire who had ultimately helped her discover who she truly was, she had grown tired of being controlled by him. Purposely harming herself, the blonde happily took his blood, and threw herself from the nearest building. Awakening a Heretic, Cassandra left her maker behind, and made her way back to her hometown.

Watching her family from afar, Cassandra allowed herself the time to control her bloodlust before she re-entered their life. Through the use of compulsion, the blonde stayed with her parents for a few years, keeping an eye on all of her siblings. However, as the years went on and it grew harder for her to maintain her facade as a human, Cassandra slowly separated herself from her family. However, she routinely checked in on them over the years, and continued to watch over her sibling’s descendants for decades.

Following her leaving home, Cassandra headed to New York City. There, she lived a new life. After that, it was California, and then London, Paris, Berlin, the list goes on. Cassandra’s seen everything the world has to offer. From climbing Mount Everest to deep-diving in the Barrier Reef, Cassandra’s tried everything at least once. Despite the time period she was born in, Cassandra has always been a chameleon in that she can adapt to any time period. With countless lovers left in her wake, Cassie’s lived a full life ten times over. Totally fearless, the heretic lives every moment like it is her last.

Following her family descendants over the years, Cassandra became acutely aware that none of them shared her gift. They had all been human, spare the odd supernatural that had inherited their gifts from another bloodline. As the decades went on, Cassie kept a close eye on this, and began to wonder if there was a chance she’d been adopted. After many years of research, she discovered rumours of heretics like herself who had set sail from Mystic Falls in 1863, including none other than Valerie Tulle. Discovering a letter Valerie had written Stefan Salvatore but had never sent that had ultimately landed in the hands of the Gemini Coven, Cassandra connected the dots. In it, it disclosed that she had been pregnant to Stefan, but had lost the baby after an attack. Working her way through whatever information she could get about the Gemini Coven without getting too close to draw suspicion, Cassandra discovered that they had sent her mother, and the others like her, to a prison world once they had docked back in America, having heard the stories of the coven of heretics tormenting England.

With her mother in a prison world, Cassandra focused on finding her father. She arrived in Mystic Falls in 1997, three years after Stefan had left town following Damon’s murder of Gail. She spent a few years trying to track him down, to no avail. Despite wanting to know more about her father, Cassandra was also hesitant in meeting Stefan, whom of which she’d learnt much about during her research. Deciding to take a break in searching, she followed a current lover to Spain until 2010. She moved around Europe following leaving Spain for a couple of years, before heading back to America in 2014 after hearing rumours that the prison world holding her mother had been opened. Alas, she was too late once again, and arrived in Mystic Falls not long after Stefan and Valerie took off as they ran from Rayna Cruz. Despite her best efforts, she was unsuccessful in finding her parents as they hid from Rayna. In 2018, she heard the news that her father had died, and despite attempting to find her mother, she was unable to do so.

Now, in present day, Cassandra has heard of the dead coming back to life, and has made her way back to Mystic Falls in an attempt to find her father.
