Buck x Bucky Sorcerers vs Fae AU

After a long and temeltous war between two factions of Sorcerers and the Fae/Elvish that lasted years, the Sorcerers came out on top. A league of veteran magic casters were put together and tasked with finding the remaining Fae and bringing them in to custody to be held prisoner and made answer for their crimes against sorcerer-kind.. whether they played a part in the war or not. Innocent or guilty, they were now all seen as war criminals and enemies of the magic-wielders.

John Egan, part of the magic casters sent out into the depths of the forests after the last fleeing fae-kind, finds his beliefs and everything he had been taught about the Elvish put into question when he comes face to face with one of the very beings he was tasked to bring into prosecution. This thing in front of him, was only a kid. Not much younger than himself, eyes wide and terrified like a trapped prey animal in a snare.

Scared, injured, trying to run and find his way to safety after watching his entire family be senselessly slaughtered by the cruelty that was the sorcerers during the worst of the war, young fae Gale Cleven would rather die running than be captured and brought back to the compounds where he would either be tortured for information he didn't have.. or executed.
