We had no idea, when coming to Most Wanted Fine Art that they specialized in Art Cars! Well, we set up shop out on the sidewalk, engaged with three amazing brothers in their future dreams, and got some much needed lessons in how to paint the Dream Machine!

Most Wanted Fine Art, Art of Blogging Exhibition

Les Femmes Folles founding curator and artist Sally Deskins will have artwork in the upcoming exhibition in Pittsburgh's Most Wanted Fine Art Gallery (which just won Best Local Art Gallery by Pittsburgh City Paper!), the Art of Blogging, opening November 6.

"MOST-WANTED FINE ART is pleased to present “The Art of Blogging”,

November 6th 2015 First Friday Unblurred Gallery Crawl 6pm-10pm FREE. 5015 Penn Ave, PGH PA 15224. Event includes locally brewed samples by RockBottom Beer for 21+ with ID.

This is a group exhibit exploring blogging as an art form and the other art that bloggers do in their “off time”.

The show hangs for the entire month with several events through out November.

Artists include: Amanda Narcisi, Maria Lupinacci, Sally Deskins, John Chamberlin, Diana Loll, Raylene Hoover, Melissa Firman, & MWFA Artists: Sue Kerr and Genevieve Barbee.

November is National Blogging Month. Pittsburgh is home to more than 400 blogs, curated by people who share a common love of Pittsburgh (even when they are displeased) and an ongoing desire for new content. The November exhibit will offer bloggers a chance to showcase their artistic side, from painting to a brass quintet, as they explore their own sources of inspiration.

In addition to the art exhibit, MWFA will host ‘Best of the Burghosphere’ during November, an awards ceremony to honor the creative bloggers in the region.

Most Wanted Fine Art is excited to team up with Pittsburgh Bloggers to acknowledge and honor the contributions of bloggers through Pittsburgh’s blogosphere (aka “Burghosphere”) with an awards ceremony that also pays tribute to our love for all lists Top Ten.

Whether blogging is an art, craft or off-shoot of journalism, it is a labor of love and creativity that infuses our lives with new ideas and an unparalled opportunity to engage (and sometimes, outrage) our community. To be a blogger is to be among the best. There is no ranking, no competition and no criteria. The act of blogging is all that is required.

Friday, November 20, 2015 at 7pm we will host a 21+ “awards” event. Celebrate the 2015 ‘Best of the Burghosphere’ bloggers with our esteemed pool of Celebrity Judges, free locally brewed RockBottom Brewery beer (with ID), refreshments and more. Suggested donation is $5 at the door with proceeds benefitting the MWFA Resident Artists project.

Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 1pm we host a family friendly “awards” celebration. Celebrate Pittsburgh’s blogs at this kid and family friendly reception including music, entertainment, food and more."

Sally will be exhibiting two body prints from her 2012 VOICE series, where she included text from LFF interviews (not the ones pictured, which are sold, but from this same series).

Les Femmes Folles is a volunteer organization founded in 2011 with the mission to support and promote women in all forms, styles and levels of art from around the world with the online journal, print annuals, exhibitions and events; originally inspired by artist Wanda Ewing and her curated exhibit by the name Les Femmes Folles (Wild Women). LFF was created and is curated by Sally Deskins.  LFF Books is a micro-feminist press that publishes 1-2 books per year by the creators of Les Femmes Folles including the award-winning Intimates & Fools (Laura Madeline Wiseman, 2014) and The Hunger of the Cheeky Sisters: Ten Tales (Laura Madeline Wiseman/Lauren Rinaldi, 2015). 11/29/14 - Small Business Saturday at Most Wanted Fine Art Tomorrow is Small Business Saturday, so come support the Garfield business district THIS SATURDAY, November 29th. This is also your last weekend to see The Album Art of Mozelle Thompson; LP Illustrations 1953-1969.  Gallery hours at Most Wanted Fine Art are 12-6 pm and there will be live painting by Darrell Kinsell in addition to live music (2-4 pm) featuring Jacquea May (vocals), Carlos Pena (guitar), Miles Jackson (bass) and the one and only Charles 'Poogie' Bell (drums).  Everything at Most Wanted Fine Art is FREE. Other participating businesses include Verde, Robin's Nest, Voluto, People's Indian Restaurant, Modern Formations, Pho Minh, Daily Bread, Refresh PGH, That's Sharp, and Mostly Mod/ARTica.  Bring proof of purchase from any of the participating businesses and we'll give you a FREE super-limited edition alternate poster for the show featuring Mozelle Thompson's 1970 Jesse Owens illustration. This is the image that appeared on the first edition of the Jesse Owens autobiography and a small quantity of this poster was whipped up by local comic book artists Frank Santoro (Pompeii, Cold Heat) with assistance by Jim Rugg (Street Angel, Afrodisiac).
