Mysterio's new Trip
Tumblr media
As Mysterio tumbled through the air, his mind raced with a whirlwind of emotions. Fear, anger, and frustration mixed together as he fell towards the unforgiving ground below. His grand plans had crumbled beneath him, shattered by the relentless determination of Spider-Man.
Tumblr media
As Mysterio fell down in to the water, everything went black and the cold water hit him from the back, he let out a big grunt. It was so cold, it was really freezing. Mysterio thought to himself that if he survived this he would seek his revange on The Avengers. Mostly Spiderman, it was Spiderman that had ruined everything for him. Mysterio had the money, the fame, everything, even the girls and boys after him and that stupid kid had to ruin everything.
Mysterio could feel himself lifting up from the water and over the city, he could feel the coldness from the wind brushing against his wet cold skin.
" Hey, wake up, hello " Mysterio felt a kick, he was alive. He slowly opened his eyes and saw a man standing over him. The man was tall and not the most muscular man but probably could hit hard, the man was dressed in green, alot of green and had long black hair, in his and he was holding something that probably could be used as a weapon.
" So you're finally awake, thank god, I didn't know what I would do otherwise, throw you out in space " Mysterio didn't notice that he weren't on earth.
Tumblr media
" Loki " Mysterio rolled his eyes when he saw that Loki was the one that had saved him. " Happy to see you too" Loki just laughed and started to walk around in the room.
" I saw you crash into the water, I did you a favour, atleast give me a thank you " Mysterio countined to roll his eyes. " So I heard you wanted to take down The Avengers, I can help you with that, but I need a favour back Ofcourse "
Mysterio was sceptical and started to think to himself, how could Loki help him?
" Ah, Mysterio, my dear friend. I require your unique talents for a little scheme of mine." Old friend? Mysterio looked at Loki with a stare.
Loki took his staff and started to swing it in the room the same time as he startes to chant something. A green haze started to full up the room, and Mysterio started to lose sign of Loki.
Mysterio felt a crack in his back and fell down on the ground. His legs started to grow muscles and and his boots started to torn up and his feets bust out. Mysterio's thighs started to grow to, a lot and his stomach formed a new set of abs, a hard and better sixpack, Mysterio was in shock and fasinated over this change, his ass got fuller too, it became big and bubbly. Mysterio's new arms started go get muscular and big and he started to feel his jaw get sharpened, his cheekbones got rounder and his eyes started to sting, his Hair came undone and started to bleach.
" Loki.. what are you doing to me "
Tumblr media
" Let's get your new uniform.. Captain "
Tumblr media
Loki showed me my new reflection, and I have to admit.. I looked good. I was so strong and handsome and tall, I was till before but now I'm even taller.
" So I can see that you like it, Captian " Loki looked at me and I smiled and told him him how much I liked it and that I was very greatful.
So what's the plan Loki, how am I going to take down The Avengers? I was walking around Loki's places to test the limits in Captains body.
" Leave that up to me, just follow and we will get what we want"
Suddenly I was the Green smoke again and Loki was gone.
Tumblr media
" Thor and Captian.. I mean you and me are going to be good partners "

I'll always be there for you
Clay x inventor! reader
Summary: You are an inventor from Putt Putt Village. Using the golf course for building things that can aid the trolls. You were the best! Until you moved to Pop village, where you have to impress all of the trolls to make a good first impression. Then with the help of Clay’s affirmations you wind up doing just that
Words: 1009
Warnings: All of this is fluff
A/N: I admit it, I hated trying to figure out Clays character without having to watch the movie again. I have watched so many videos just trying to get it right and it's been likean earworm, tearing me apart from the inside out. That's why at some point it feels a little more headcanony than other parts. (we dont get enough of Clay honestly.) Anyway this was fun to write, I can't wait for you all to read it! Happy New year everyone!
❉❊❉
You groaned as you came out from under the machine. It’s a machine that doubles glitter. It was just to be a little in spirit of returning to troll society, but it’s turning out to be the hardest machine you’ve ever worked on.
You dust glitter off your arms and adjust your clothing. A part of you feels embarrassed to be working on a glitter machine like this. You have so many other projects and your working on this to be cool to other trolls? You’re close to giving up when-
“Hey! I’ve been looking for you! I asked around town and- What. Is. That.” Clay stopped in his tracks as he pointed to the large (but not too large) glitter-covered machine. You sigh and brush yourself off, inherently spreading more glitter.
You cover your face in embarrassment. “No, it’s nothing, just a thing I’ve been working on.” You say, not expecting Clay of all people to show up suddenly and notice your big “surprise.” Your cheeks flushing a deep shade of red.
Before you could protest, Clay was already inspecting the machine.
“Clay-”
“It’s a party machine!”
“Clay, don't do this.”
“Or it’s a…sun bathing machine.”
“You’re not serious please just-”
“Ooooor it’s a Glitter doubler machine that doubles one piece of glitter into hundreds more.” Clay look at you as if he was correct and you groaned in embarrassment. He walked over to you and stood next to you. “Can’t hide anything from me, you know this. What’s wrong?”
You frown, crossing your arms. “I feel like I’m doing too much to impress these new Trolls, I mean glitter machine? Someone has to have already made that.” You say as you nervously bite your nails. Clay’s arm wraps around your neck and pulls you into his shoulder.
You lean into him, grumbling your grumbles that he loves so much. Clay shrugs slightly. “Well, if you’re doing too much than…they’d want you to do more.” Clay sends you a serious look and you instantly recoil, he can’t be serious. Clay interjects your thoughts “I know it sounds crazy but have you met Viva’s sister? She’s crazy when it comes to going big or going home. She never goes home.”
You snorted at the sentiment, but looked at your invention and frowned. “But what if it explodes when showing off? That defeats the purpose! Everyone will hate me for sure.” You we’re becoming a nervous wreck the more you thought about it,
Clay’s hand went over your temples, beginning to rub gently at them to stop any sights of an inventor's headache. “Okay okay, bring it back down. There you are.” He said, nipping your chin with his thumb and index finger. You laughed, mostly because your neck was ticklish, but also because you blush hard ever time he does it.
Clay looked you in the eyes and crossed his arms. “Let’s think about disasters; after you build it huh?” He offered, you rolled your eyes and he clicked his tongue at you. “That’s my girl, now let’s get to work!”
✩✪✩✪✩
Now, you stood next to clay for your first test. When suddenly, glitter sputtered out the sides and the top. You groaned. Clay then pointed out that it's doing one thing they wanted, but not another. “Okay, we're doing something right and something wrong.” You look at the machine and feel a sense a pride in it now.
“Okay, well, obviously it's something on the sides. I have to cover those up somehow.” You'd deduce and giggle when Clay made a mock surprised face. “Alright let's do it!”
✩✪✩✪✩
You laid on the ground stomach full after Viva brought you French fries and meat circles. You were halfway to a food coma when Clay asked “This isn't just about the machine right, the change is hitting you too?” he asked, looking at you with worried eyes.
You just nodded. “I understand change is hard, but this? This is crazy. Moving entirely out of Putt Putt Village for this? It's enough to make your skin crawl.”
“Well just so you know your are not the only one, every other troll is in some kind of tiff about it too. I mean I had to give up my admin house.”
“You hated living in that thing.”
“Quite the contrary, it was actually delectable beyond reasoning.”
“You always do the voice when I'm right. Just admit it alright?”
“Nothing to admit.”
“I sometimes hate that I love you.”
✩✪✩✪✩
Finally, the moment had come, everything fell into place. You decided the go big or go home approach would be best. So now you had a small glitter volcano, it's small, adorable, and simple. However its just big enough to where you can't go home.
Surprise surprise, everyone adored it. Glitter trolls have already been caught bathing in it, but you only build the machines, you don't monitor them. You are in Poppy’s pod getting a mouthful about how great that glitter-cano is. Then when you came out you got more compliments! It wasn't until you and Floyd were eating lunch together that Clay even asked. “So, did everyone like the-”
“YES! They loved It! They all loved it so much that they told me they liked it and I've never felt greater!” You squealed as you looked at the pin Poppy had given you. It wasn't much, it just said “You did it!” even then you still were pretty stoked.
Clay smiled. Leaning on his hand as he looked at you. “That's awesome! I'm so proud of you.” he reached across the table to offer a high five, and you smirked and took his hand. He was confused until you pulled him to meet you in the middle to accept a kiss on the forehead.
He slapped a hand onto his forehead and you laughed softly. “Thank you for being my number one Clay.” Clay admittedly blushed, but he'd never say that he did. He waved a hand.
“It's nothing, you know I'll always be here for you.”

blue lock x fem!reader
characters: yoichi isagi, rin itoshi, seishiro nagi (separate)
content: weird/bad habits they have
ari's note: i'll make a part two soon! let me kno who u want to see in the second part!!!
part 2. part 3.
Tumblr media
yoichi isagi: folding the top corner of a book as a bookmark
"ichi! yoichi!" you called from the kitchen. you were currently baking some cookies that you wanted to gift to isagi's friend, bachira, for his birthday.
"come here and help me taste test the cookies, please!" you called again when you got no reply from your boyfriend.
a few minutes passed and still no reply from him.
"ugh, is he deaf? oh my goodness.." you sighed, rinsing your hands and drying them with a towel before going to his room to get him.
"yoichi! i've been calling you!" you snapped as you slammed his door open. isagi jolted in surprise from the manga he was reading as you suddenly opened his door.
he removed the earbuds from his ear and sighed softly, "oh, it's just you. you gave me a heart attack there.."
you rubbed your temples and heaved in frustration, "reading my manga again? goodness.."
he nodded happily.
"yes! thanks for lending it to me, by the way. could i borrow the entire collection? i want to read them at home when i'm free." he asked, returning his attention back to the manga.
"ah, sure. just take care of it, 'kay? those are expensive as hell." you answered and wanted to walk away when you remembered why you called for him in the first place, "oh! right. come and try the cookies i baked, ichi. need someone to taste them before i give them to birthday boy bachira."
he looked up at the mention of cookies, "oh! cookies?! i'm coming!!"
he folded the top page of the manga he was reading as a bookmark so he could go back and read it again later.
"h-hey! don't fold the manga page like that. oh my god! my manga! isagi, quick unfold it! hurry, isagi!" you wailed for your precious manga.
"h-huh?! what did i do?! unfold!? what?!" isagi panicked, not knowing the damage he had done to your precious, expensive manga.
"you idiot! you don't just fold the pages like that for a bookmark, isagi! use a card, or a random piece of paper, or something! don't just fold it! oh my god.. my manga... it's ruined..." you dramatically cried and isagi's eyes widened in horror.
"i-i'm sorry, y/n!! i'll... i'll get you.. n-new manga! please don't cry, don't cry!" isagi panicked, holding your folded manga in his hands like it was some dying animal.
"oh? new manga? okay, you said so, isagi. i'm expecting my new manga tomorrow." you said and got up, flashing him a playful grin and going back to the kitchen.
"what? hey! i thought you were crying, don't do this to me! y/n!" isagi shouted, chasing after you to the kitchen.
rin itoshi: leaving you on heard
you and rin were currently watching a movie in the living room. well, it was mostly you watching. rin just sat on the couch with you to keep you company. he was mindlessly scrolling through his phone, the sounds from the movie you were watching were merely just white noise to him.
"eh? isn't that the same actor in the series we watched a few months ago?" you gasped upon seeing a familiar actor in the movie you were currently watching.
no reply.
"rin?"
still no reply.
"hello, rin itoshi?" you called, eyes glued on the tv still.
"rinnie?" you kept calling his name until you were able to pull your eyes from the screen and look at your boyfriend, who you thought was sleeping since he didn't reply to any of your calls.
you looked at your boyfriend. he had one arm resting on the armrest of the couch, his head leaning on his fist, reading something on his phone. clearly awake.
you shrugged, brushing off his silence. maybe he's reading something important. you returned your attention back to the tv, forgetting about your question to him.
"yeah, i think it's the same actor." rin replied after 15 minutes, still looking at his phone.
you turned to look at him in confusion, "what? you took so long to answer, were you googling it?"
rin lifted his face from his phone and raised a brow at you, "googling? what would i be googling? i was reading this crime article i found." he said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
you gave him a puzzled look, "you know what? never mind. thanks for confirming, rin."
"of course. you're welcome, love." he nonchalantly replied and turned his attention back to his crime article as though he didn't just leave you on heard for a whopping 15 minutes.
seishiro nagi: drinking milk with ice
"hey, girlfriend? could you get me a glass of milk, please? i'm so thirsty." nagi called out while he was laying on the couch while you were in the kitchen.
"i'm busy, sei. come and get it yourself." you called back while washing the dishes.
"huhhh, but i'm sooo lazyyy. can you do it for me, girlfriend? pretty please?" he whined quietly, but loud enough for you to hear.
"ugh, fine. but only because i love you." you sighed, drying your hands and paused washing the dishes as you grabbed a glass and took the milk carton from the fridge.
you poured the milk into the glass and placed it on the coffee table in front of nagi, who had sat up from his lying down position on the couch.
he smiled cheekily at you, "hehe, thank you, girlfriend. i love you, you always take care of me."
you blushed and looked away, "whatever, sei. just drink your milk and come help me in the kitchen."
you walked back to the kitchen and resumed washing the dishes. it was quiet until you heard the fridge open again. thinking nagi was still thirsty and was just getting more milk, you ignored it and carried on with washing the dishes.
that is, until you heard the sound of clinking ice cubes. you turned your head in shock, and your mouth parted in surprise at what you saw.
nagi, adding ice cubes into his glass full of milk.
"nagi seishiro! what in heaven's name are you doing?" you said, shocked. nagi paused midway of grabbing another ice cube and looked at you, bewildered.
"what? i'm just getting ice. you forgot to add the ice cubes." he shrugged and resumed adding ice cubes to his glass of milk which was going to overflow from the amount of ice cubes he had added.
you shook your head in disbelief as you watched your boyfriend carry on with his weird habit, like he was committing a crime. but you said nothing, rubbed your temples and washed the dishes again. all while speculating about how you ended up dating a weirdo like nagi and how he even enjoyed drinking cold milk with ice cubes.
nagi bonus!!:
after cleaning the kitchen, you and nagi settled on the couch to watch a movie. he was still drinking his milk with ice cubes. you really wanted to question it but he seemed to be enjoying himself so you let him.
a few minutes into the movie, you heard crunching sounds and looked at nagi, thinking he had some chips or something to munch on. but to your horror, you saw your boyfriend chewing on the ice cubes from his empty glass.
"n-nagi seishiro! stop chewing on that ice!" you scolded, taken aback from discovering another one more of nagi's weird habits.
"oh, sorry. i'll chew softer then."
"t-that's not what i meant! y-you.. you idiot! your teeth are gonna be spoiled if you keep doing that! stop!"
"what! don't say that! my teeth are fine!"

oc kiss week
not particularly new, but Aedan and Kaidan's first kiss
Their first kiss, real kiss, she expects to feel desperate. Demanding. Greedy.  God knows, they’re being stupidly greedy, here.  She’s used to kisses being…tests. Deep and hot but mostly just to see if the chemistry is cooking the way it ought to before the main event. Kisses are for lovers and she’s never been that. Maybe there’s a thought that if it’s their only kiss…that he would get exactly how much she wanted him just now.  But his gravelly confession -the crack in that steady voice- hooks in her gut, brings her up short. Human.  Something unfamiliar and fierce coils along the want pulsing through her and it gentles the hand that she's got  around his neck to yank him towards her, her fingers stroking along the upper vertebra  just under his amp instead and the noise he makes plants another small hook under her skin, like a berry bramble with a promise of sweetness.   Up on her tiptoes, Aedan places her other hand on his cheek and Kaidan leans into it. From underneath her lashes, she watches his dark eyes flutter shut at the tentative, questioning soft pressure of their lips meeting.  Parting her lips slightly, brushing the tip of her tongue against the faint ridge of the scar that has fascinated her for months. The skin around it velvety as if he’d shaved minutes ago. Kaidan breathes in sharp and his fingers dig into her side as he drags his other hand up to cradle her skull.   She feels him whisper her name against the corner of her mouth.  And then he shifts, his tongue slides against hers and heat floods down her spine. She’s working her way to the corner of his jaw, enjoying the way he’s stretched out against her, how fluid he’s turned suddenly when he’s usually so solid, his fingers pressing her closer as if he can’t quite get enough of her mouth on him when he flinches. She pulls back. “Okay there?”  “Yeah. yeah, Just uh, nicked myself.  Shaving earlier.”  His pupils are blown wide and dark and she wants to drown herself in them.   But…”Did you shave for me?” That tender bit of consideration is something she’d like to get a little more of. His fingers brush the soft underside of her jaw, already flushed and red.  “Well...yeah?” Fuck, she doesn't know what to do with that. Where does that even come from? Burying the moment of bafflement, she dives back into the kiss, into him. Into a slide of tongue and hint of teeth, into the way his fingers, calloused and warm, are skimming up her spine and dragging back down.

ぐちゃ ! (Splat!) [Yoru x F! Reader] [2]
Heya everyone!
Guess what? That's right, I'm trying something new!
After accumulating some a good amount of writing while waiting for the vote, instead of posting every other day with a few words, I'm gonna be posting once a week with a collection of words! Yep, this bad boy here is 7.8k words long!! MY HANDS AND EYES ARE KILLING ME I'M SORRY FOR ANY MISTAKES I MISSED
This is just a test to see if it's a good idea or not. Maybe if it goes well, I'll keep going, or stop if it's chaotic. Anyway, have a good one! See you next Friday!
❤ฺ·。
Yoru x F! Reader
Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 4.5 / Part 5 / Part 6
Genre: Fluff
Synopsis: Hapless doesn't even begin to describe you. With your life flipped upside down within the span of a day; you're left to rely on your best friend Tala to help you pick up the pieces and build the new one forced upon you. And this 'luck' seems to have caught the attention of one of her friends.
。+❤ฺ·。❤ฺ·。+❤ฺ· +❤·。❤ฺ·。+❤ฺ·
Police sirens loudly rang throughout the entire district, Tala peeking from the alleyway you both hid in to notice another police car swerving past.
“Relax, Y/N, they won’t find us here!”
“It doesn’t matter! Did you see the print on the GROUND?!”
You gasped and held yourself, still shocked from the entire ordeal. Tala knelt next to you and patted your back, struggling to reassure you. How could she, when the sight surprised her just as much? Besides, it’s not like she knew how to calm people down in the first place.
“It almost killed us! It almost killed us, Tala!”
“It didn’t kill anyone, okay?! It missed us, we’re alive!”
“We almost died! We almost died!”
You hugged your knees, hyperventilating.
“We almost got squashed, it missed us by a few inches!”
You kept rambling nonsense under your breath, your voice quivering with an abnormal amount of fear. Tala, used to near-death experiences, wasn’t as horrified as you were. But that doesn’t mean what happened could just be easily brushed off.
Whilst swatting the flies away, suddenly, it was like an extraterrestrial force from outer space slammed itself against the ground. And when you both opened your eyes, a massive hand imprinted itself upon the hill you both stood on; defiling it. Like a giant that slapped the ground with all of its might. Even she couldn’t explain it.
“Y/N, Y/N, it’s alright, look, if the government doesn’t catch up to us first, then maybe a secret organisation will!”
“HOW IS THAT BETTER?!”
She awkwardly scratched the back of her neck, chuckling to herself.
“Okay, uh– good point, but… but look on the bright side! I just called someone and they know exactly how to help!”
“Help us?! We had nothing to do with this! The hand– it, it appeared out of nowhere, it came out of nowhere! It almost killed us! We were so close–”
Tala grabbed your shoulders, and forced your gaze on hers. She would slap you, but you weren’t one of her co-workers.
“Y/N! Help is on the way, okay! Stop freaking out!”
You stood up, clutching your head with both hands and muttering random sentences under your breath, ones she didn’t catch onto.
“I– I think I’m going insane, Tala! A– a giant hand, a massive hand! It appeared out of nowhere and almost hit us! How does that happen, how is this– how, is it possible? How is it normal?! Is this– is this what they meant by Radiants being dangerous?!”
“No, Y/N, this has nothing to do with that!”
Tala knew your information of Radiancy was extremely limited, mostly to what the news would spew out. But she couldn’t exactly tell you the whole story, not when you could hardly differentiate between left and right. Also, it’s confidential. Shouldn’t forget that.
“Just hold on, we’ll get help. The police will be off our tail in a second!”
You turned to her, panicking.
“Why would the police be on our tail?!”
Shouldn’t have said that either.
“What’s with you two?”
Thankfully, like some guardian angel (to Tala), a familiar voice appeared from behind you both. A dark silhouette stood in the entrance of the constricted alley, the street lights reflecting off of his blue jacket. Of course, you were terrified for a split second, thinking it was a cop, but Tala’s reaction quickly calmed you.
“Yoru, finally! We need your help!”
He stepped in, both hands in his pockets. And on his face, juxtaposed to the chaos, the police sirens and helicopters that wrapped around the park you both rushed out of, was an expression full of boredom.
“What now? Did you make another thunderstorm?”
Tala noticed the sudden shift in your expression and awkwardly chuckled, scratching the back of her head. But luckily, Yoru turned his attention to you instead.
“Who are you?”
“Who am I? Who are you? Why are you here?!”
“Yoru! Yoru, she’s, uh– this is, this is Y/N, my friend, and she’s freaked out right now, so you shouldn’t be asking her anything.”
He blankly stared at you, almost as if he was sceptical of your general presence. Thankfully, it was only for a few seconds before he turned to Tala.
“Give me a run down.”
“Alright!”
Tala quickly perked up, politely keeping your mouth shut. The events were scrambled in your mind, so the chances of you saying anything coherent was zero. And Tala knew it.
“There’s a park behind us, and, uh… there might be, sort of, a massive handprint on the hill.”
“Yeah, I saw it on the news. I meant give me the intimate rundown. Did your kit manifest?”
Pictures already spread throughout the country, especially since it flattened a few dozen massive trees in one fell swoop, and possibly a few animals hidden within the grass and branches. If the concept of it pancaking living beings wasn’t so horrifying, it would’ve been impressive. Of course, it shocked you how quickly things spread, but bad news travels fast, as they say.
Tala raised her hands defensively.
“There wasn’t electricity involved, it wasn’t my fault! Stop bringing it up!”
“Electricity?!”
You blurted out, and it was too late for Tala. Though he might’ve not really known it, Yoru’s complete disregard for the situation pretty much exposed her. Not that he really cared.
“Is she a Radiant?”
“No, she’s not. I’m telling you, it wasn’t either of us!”
Tala interrupted, but Yoru kept his eyes on yours, as if she never spoke.
“Before the hand, what exactly were you doing?”
He stared at you, and you couldn’t help but feel uneasy under his piercing gaze as he towered over you. Then, he looked down, the glimmer of gold catching his attention. In the darkness that enveloped you all, it stood out.
“I– I was swatting flies, okay? They were gathering around us and I–”
“Spare me the details. You were swatting flies, right?”
You nodded.
“Y– yes, yeah, I was swatting–”
“Was your hand open?”
“Yeah?”
“And what about this thing?”
He pointed to your bracelet, which you didn’t even notice until now. Not when you stumbled on your words, hardly able to put together a sentence with how fast he was going. Unlike Tala, this Yoru guy absolutely did not hold back, even when you were at the peak of your anguish. He seemed overeager to put the blame on you.
“This bracelet? What about it?! It has nothing to do with–”
The words were stuck in your throat once you lifted your hand and actually got a good look at it. You saw the golden accessory now wrapped tightly around your wrist, hardly moving an inch. Unlike before, when it could’ve easily been mistaken for a necklace with how loose it was. You scratched at it; but it wouldn’t move.
Tala was just as stumped.
“That– that was loose, yeah?”
You awkwardly laughed, struggling to tilt the object. But it stuck to you, like a limb. It didn’t take long for Yoru to catch on, turning to Tala.
“There’s your problem. You should’ve called Harbour, not me, idiot.”
“Harbour’s not my friend and you know it!”
As they bickered, you struggled with the bracelet. But trying to vigorously rip it away from you shot pain through your arm. Trying to get this off would be like ripping off your finger with no tools. You couldn’t fathom how this was even possible. How did it even happen? How did it tighten, and when?!
You clenched your fist and worked to take it off, digging your nails under it whilst the two continued arguing about meaningless nonsense.
“The bracelet’s so tiny! How could it have so much power, anyway?!”
“Hell if I know.”
“Really, it also fell on her arm when she first wore it! When did it get so tight?”
As she continued rambling, Yoru felt an odd sensation enter the atmosphere around them. And he quickly glanced behind him, noticing the trees that previously swerved with the wind completely stop, the branches now still as statues.
In the literal sense, the air stood still.
He looked at you, noticing your fist clenched, and you prepared to loosen it.
Then, the shadow of an invisible set of fingers emerged above you.
But just before it could crush you all, he grabbed your wrist and slammed it against the nearby wall, the silhouette disappearing just as fast as it appeared; not before destroying the top portion of the buildings you both hid in between.
“Stop moving that damn hand!”
He shouted, a massive portion of the roof falling behind you. It crashed and splattered into pieces so loudly, the noise deafened you for a split second. And once it was over, you weren’t given a single moment to catch yourself. Yoru angrily met your gaze, still holding on to your wrist.
“Don’t you dare move a finger, lady. Your hand can squash a quarter of the Philippines.”
Just like that, he let go and stepped out of the alley.
“With me. We’re getting this sorted.”
Like a pair of chicks behind their mother hen, you both mindlessly rushed behind him, blindly trusting his judgement. Of course, you had no choice, while Tala clearly trusted this dude.
“That’s so cool! So, this is like, an artefact? Like Harbour and Astra? You also have that mask, yeah?”
“What are you talking about?!”
Tala stuttered once she remembered you were right there again. And this time, Yoru caught on, annoyed. She could hardly go a few seconds without blowing her cover now, and it was embarrassing to watch on his end. So, like the honest, no-nonsense man that he was, he made the obvious decision to ease the stress on his dear friend’s shoulders.
“We’re both Radiants part of a secret organisation. And her callsign’s Neon.”
“Yoru!”
Genius.
“Neon? Radiants? Secret organisation?! So, that’s the job you didn’t want to tell me about!”
You met her gaze angrily, furious at her keeping this from you. And of course, she awkwardly chuckled, turning her gaze away. Shortly after, you clutched your head and massaged your temples, working to ease the aching that slowly took over you.
“Oh god, this is too much for one day…”
Yoru sighed and took out his comb, brushing his hair.
“Yeah? Don’t worry, there’s more.”
❤ฺ·。
Arriving on an aircraft dubbed the VLT/R, you sat right next to Tala– sorry, NEON, still holding your head and staring at the pristine flooring in shock. Yoru sat in front of you, fiddling with a butterfly comb in his hand. Unlike you, he was completely unbothered. Maybe he had gotten slightly amused by the situation, and your reaction to all of this. The tension was heavy, and she could tell your head was so close to exploding. NEON needed to calm you down.
“So… what now?”
“Best case scenario, they break the thing off and let her go.”
“Great! Don’t worry, Y/N, you’ll be back to your clerk job in no time!”
Neon said as she clasped her hands together. Yoru, on the other hand, simply raised an eyebrow.
“Tch. You’re excited about being a clerk?”
“It’s a peaceful job!”
You blurt out, meeting his gaze. And he couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Right. Must be high paying, too. You smell like you stepped out of a hibachi restaurant.”
“Is that a joke?”
“I’m serious.”
You shook your head in confusion.
“We went to a cafe. No restaurant.”
“Liar. I know the scent of a grilled steak with soy sauce on top. All cooked in sesame oil, too. Only a skilled hibachi chef could successfully pull off something that smells like that.”
You blankly stared at him for a few seconds, unable to process all of the extra information. Compared to everything you previously learned, it wasn’t anything important, but you also never went to a hibachi restaurant in your entire life. Too expensive.
Yoru proudly pointed to his nose, a smug smile on his face.
With how blank his expression was this entire time, this looked unnatural on him.
“I have a good sense of smell.”
“Yeah… I didn’t want to say anything, but I swore I could smell adobo since we left the alley. Fresh adobo! Just the way lola makes it.”
You couldn’t help but giggle, watching Neon lick her lips in excitement at the simple thought of it.
“I think you’re both just hungry.”
“Did you dip your hand in water?”
Yoru suddenly perked up. You met his gaze in confusion, before he pointed to your hand.
And safe to say, you were shocked all over again. Out of nowhere, there was some form of liquid that suddenly started seeping from your skin, dripping down your hand. It wasn’t sweat, either, it was an ongoing flow of clear fluid, like water.
You held it up to your face, confused. It didn’t smell like anything. Maybe it was water?
“I probably wasn’t looking…”
Before another word can be exchanged, you jumped once the VLT/R landed, and the door slid open to reveal a sight that took you a second to process. In the exit stood two women and one man. The one with the long black ponytail stepped up, a warm smile on her face and her eyes locked on yours.
❤ฺ·。

At first, you thought the one with the ponytail, Sage, would be the one to examine your hand. But Viper instead took it upon herself, since she seemed more qualified when it came to actually studying the human body and such.
It was the next day, early morning, and weirdly enough, it started off better than most mornings. That’s right, you were in the empty cafeteria, getting yelled at by your boss on the phone. You would say it’s a typical morning, but that would be a lie. Usually, you’d wake up by your extremely aggravating alarm at four, and still be late for work. Or, on the weekends, by the screaming of your younger family members.
“Y/N, I trusted you to have the papers ready by seven! You didn’t even show up!”
“Look, I’m sorry. Things happened!”
“What? ‘Things happen?’ That’s your excuse? You might as well spit on my face while you’re at it.”
You sighed and glanced at the bracelet on your right hand, a jade green tinge slowly overwhelming the gold.
“It wasn’t my choice. You’d know me by now, right? I never miss a day of work. But believe me, just this one time, something really did happen!”
“Unless this vague thing can get my papers done in less than fifteen minutes, it doesn’t really concern me, Y/N!”
You winced at the volume of his voice. Even if you’d gotten around to completing the task he’d given you, the amount of papers you were entrusted with were enough to complete a book. Logically, you’d need multiple people to complete it.
But he knew that, unlike you, your co-workers would complain about doing this without getting paid for it.
“I’m sorry, okay? I’ll try to find my way back, but–”
“Don’t bother. I might as well fire you, that’ll save me the stress of–”
You noticed a shadow looming over you, looking to your right to find a familiar face. Surprisingly, it was Yoru; the guy from yesterday.
Pleasantly complementing his generally blue palette were the rays of the sun, painting both him and the cafeteria into a stunning shade of gold. Had you believed in fairytales, you’d assume the Midas touch was in full effect.
You muted and gave him a tired smile.
“Magandang umaga. Yoru, right?” <Good morning.>‎‎
He pointed to the phone in your ear, your boss’s voice loud enough for him to be audible to the Japanese.
“What’s going on?”
“Oh, I missed work and my boss’s mad. Don’t worry, he’ll drop it eventually.”
You’d grown used to his yelling enough to be able to guess exactly what he’s talking about. And thus, you were able to have a conversation without missing anything. And by the blank look on Yoru’s face, he wasn’t impressed.
“You might as well quit.”
You tittered and turned back to the phone, but he caught your attention once more.
“I’m serious. You’re not going back to civilisation with that thing on your wrist.”
“I live paycheck to paycheck, you know. If I quit, I’ll be out on the streets!”
“You’ll be living here, lady. There’s no ‘bills’ anymore.”
His tone slightly shifted towards aggression. And though you were taken aback, you were already overloaded with stress enough to let it slide.
“Even if I wanted to quit, he won’t take me seriously! Maybe if I keep nagging him for like, a week, but not now.”
“Best I can do is two minutes.”
You stared at him for a moment, before tilting your head.
“You can get me out in two?”
“Want me to?”
He really thinks he can get to someone as stubborn and talkative as your boss, huh? As much as you didn’t want to, you really didn’t have much to lose. Even you knew that they wouldn’t let you out so soon after flattening a hill by accident. And so, with an eager nod, he immediately. stretched out his hand towards you.
“Hand me that.”
You did. He took a few steps away, and you shifted in your seat as he walked towards the centre of the cafeteria, anxious.
“Hey, listen here.”
Yoru slightly raised his voice. Though he was a metre away, you could hear the boss’s ranting immediately get interrupted.
“This is her friend. She quit. Sorry.”
The air stood still for a few seconds, before he started talking again, clearly furious. And knowing how much he liked to rabbit about, Yoru had gotten sick of his voice within a few seconds, judging by the way he furrowed his brow. Probably bringing up the papers he entrusted you with.
“Not her problem anymore. Figure it out.”
Just as he began ranting again, Yoru quickly spoke up.
“Yeah. Too bad. Bye.”
And just like that, he closed the call and handed you the phone.
To say you were shocked would be an understatement. More specifically at how blunt he was, telling a powerful man to shut his trap like that.
“Juskó, uh, are you– are you sure he won’t–” <Oh my god,>‎
Just as you said that, your phone began ringing once more, and it was exactly who you expected.
“Do I answer?!”
“Tch, no? Block him.”
“But what if he gets mad? Like, what if he does something?”
He rolled his eyes and moved to the fridge.
“Y/N, you’re an active threat to humanity until you get that hand under control. Relax.”
Oh, right. The bracelet.
You stared at the phone ringing in silence, many thoughts overlapping in your mind. Though you were shocked to your core at what he’d done, Yoru didn’t seem bothered whatsoever. He simply made his breakfast like this was a typical morning for him.
Taking your phone into your hand, you hesitantly closed the call. It began ringing again. And this time, you took his advice and blocked him. Once you did, the calls stopped coming. And it was as if a few tonnes of metal were lifted off of your shoulders, taking in the silence once more.
Wow… This must be what serenity feels like, beyond a word slapped on top of a pretty image on Google.
“So… what happens now?”
“What?”
“I just quit my job. What do I do now?”
“You work for Valorant now. Did Viper test out that arm yet?”
You looked at your hand where the ‘bracelet’ sat. Only now did you notice the colour. There wasn’t a hint of gold anymore. It was fully green, and it didn’t glimmer like a gem.
Also, they numbed your arm so that you wouldn’t accidentally crush the base.
“I guess. I don’t remember what she told me. I blanked out halfway through.”
Yoru scoffed.
“They’ll figure that out, first. Then, after training, you’ll get on missions with us.”
You looked up at him, watching him take out a few eggs and wash them.
“Missions? Like what?”
“Depends. Other than squashing, what can you do?”
You turned back to your numb arm. And this time, you lifted up to the table, allowing the sun to shine and give you a clearer view of the bracelet.
It was hard to remember, and you left Viper’s synopsis back in Neon’s room since you ran out when your boss called.
“I think she said I can make smells, or whatever.”
“Tch, what?”
“Yeah, wait– I remember now! The water from my hand, apparently it’s nectar and it has a scent. Viper said it smells like fruit, and there’s someone else, she had a big ponytail. She said it smells like… mountain air.”
“Mountain air? Yeah, that checks out.”
You followed his movements, watching him wash a bowl and a pan. Was he mocking her?
“What does that mean?”
“Sage was a monk, I think. Probably meditated on a mountain.”
He turned on the stove and immediately got to cooking, cracking the eggs.
“Monk? That’s… new.”
The people here sounded like unique individuals. First, Viper, whom you recognised from the awards she won years ago. Now, a monk.
“Explains the hibachi smell yesterday.”
He commented and you smiled to yourself, remembering his eagerness as he explained the intricate details of the meat.  Him, and Neon. So, the smell differs with everyone, you thought. But you seemed to be immune to it.
Then, there was a delectable real smell that ripped your attention away from your thinking and back onto Yoru. Surprisingly, it was from his food.
“What’s for breakfast?”
“Tornado omelette.”
Tornado omelette? Unique breakfast, you thought.
“Mind sharing?”
“I do, actually.”
You paused for a moment, quickly growing disappointed once you understood.
“Awe, really? Lame.”
“Yeah, I only cook for people I like. Sorry.”
His apology didn’t sound genuine. But, to be fair, nothing that came out of his mouth sounded genuine. ‘People I like’, he said. Did you even need to ask to know that his list of liked people was minuscule? Just look at him.
“Do you like anyone here?”
“No.”
He answered with quickness and you rolled your eyes and sat back. But then, you promptly remembered what he did. Yoru shut down your boss with no more than a few words, and practically freed you within a few minutes of meeting you. So really, how could you be mad at him right now?
This was one of the rare interactions that didn’t go horribly wrong.
You looked at him. Well, the back of his head, since he wasn’t facing you whatsoever.
“Hey, Yoru?”
“Yeah.”
You smiled.
“Thanks for helping me out.”
“Don’t thank me.”
He said. And again, you were taken aback. It didn’t sound like a humble statement, either. He genuinely sounded uninterested by your gratitude. What kind of philosophy does this guy follow? You thought, but it felt like it was too soon to judge.
❤ฺ·。
“I can’t believe you’re getting your own room already. You should’ve said no, and we’d have sleepovers every night!”
Neon said excitedly as you scanned the updated paper in your hand. Her voice echoed through the cafeteria you both sat in, since it was empty despite it being late in the afternoon. It’s not like you’ve seen anyone other than her and Yoru, and Viper who took you in for a few hours before letting you have your break.
“Tala, two can barely fit on that bed.”
“But with a promotion, I can make it a king-size.”
She winked, and you couldn’t help but force an eye roll at this, looking down at the paper again.
“Also, it’s Neon. You’re not really allowed to use real names around here, remember?”
“You guys call me by my name all the time.”
“They haven’t picked a callsign for you yet! I’m thinking it’s something about gems. Maybe… Psh, I dunno, gold? Mineral?”
“Mineral? What am I, baby food?”
Neon laughed, taking her smoothie into her hand.
“Fair enough. Anyway, did you meet anyone yet?”
You wordlessly gestured to the cafeteria around you, as if to remind her there’s nobody. And it’s not like she caught on, she blankly stared at you as she took a sip.
“Valorant’s emptier than I thought. Are you and Yoru the only ones here?”
“Oh! No, no way, there’s plenty of us! They’re on missions right now.”
Amidst your crowded and exhausted mind, the only people you remembered were Viper and the other monk lady. But were you about to admit that, out of all of them, Yoru took control of your mind effortlessly? Well…
You put the paper down and sighed, smiling.
“I talked to Yoru this morning…”
Neon raised an eyebrow as she sipped her smoothie, watching your previously tense posture shift.
“What’s his deal?”
“What do you mean?”
You turned your gaze away, unsure how to tell her.
“I don’t know. He's nice, but also vulgar at the same time.”
“Oh! Yeah, I know what you mean. Yoru’s just that type of guy, you know? Lone wolf and that edgy stuff. He’s a rude-ass, but if you don’t mind that, he’s chill.” she brought the straw up to her lips as she spoke, “Did he do anything?”
“He told my boss off, and I don’t have a job now.”
She nearly choked, clearing her throat and pulling the drink away.
“Your boss? The same guy who–”
“YES. The same guy who convinced me unpaid overtime is legal, okay? Don’t remind me.”
Neon laughed, taking a quick sip. And this time, she was mindful not to spill a single drop.
“Did he share his food with you, though?”
“Uh, no?”
“Then he doesn’t like you.”
What?
“Is this an ongoing thing?”
“It is! Yoru’s like, the best cook here. Nobody can top him, but nobody can get a taste either. I’d kill to try his homemade soba!”
She said as she licked her lips with the same excitement she harboured for her lola’s adobo. You beamed at this, sitting up once more. Nobody can get a taste either, huh? And Neon’s overeagerness combined with the tornado omelette you saw earlier, it was clear that his dishes were no joke. Gordon Ramsay who, right?
But just as you thought you could take on this challenge, you backed off.
No way.
Then, Neon fixed her posture once the sound of heels clicking took over your ears, both of you looking back to see a silhouette familiar to only her. You squinted, before smiling once you recognised the large ponytail, elegantly swerving with each step.
“Good morning, Y/N. How’s your hand?”
The ‘monk’, as you called her in your mind said, a sweet smile lifting her cheeks. Applying pressure to your fingers, you could tell the drug only now was in the midst of wearing off.
“Still numb, but I’m used to it.”
“Good. Are you ready to go back to the lab?”
You sighed and nodded. But just as you stood up, so did Neon, putting down her now-empty smoothie with a loud clank.
“Sage, did we decide on a name yet?”
Sage. That’s her name. Well, callsign
“Something came to mind, but we won't get to it until we determine how her hand works.”
She stopped at the doorway, wordlessly gesturing to you both to follow her. And with excitement you definitely didn’t share, Neon made her way towards the healer, trotting with each step.
❤ฺ·。
There wasn’t much of a difference between your old boss and Viper, now that a few hours have passed. Sure, this time, by what Yoru said and Neon confirmed; you had absolutely no bills to pay and even had vending machines to eat out of and all you had to do was let her study you relentlessly– okay, putting it that way; you sounded like a child.
“This might hurt.”
Viper suddenly twisted your wrist, forcing you to take in a sharp breath. Just a few more inches, and she’d definitely rip a few tendons. Thank god your hand was still numb.
“No, that’s fine– go ahead.”
You said with an awkward giggle, but she didn’t change her focused expression. And like an orange, more of the transparent nectar slipped out. And using her pipet, she aspirated a considerable amount of it, before emptying out on a vial. Then, she repeated this process, until it was full.
“Sheesh, Y/N. Are you a sadist?”
“Sadist…?”
You said in confusion. Viper pulled away, side-eyeing Neon as she worked on the sample, and you quickly clutched your wet hand to relieve the pain.
“I think you mean masochist.”
“Tomato, tomato.”
Viper inhaled the scent of the nectar. And to your surprise, her face twisted to disgust; a major contrast to the serene expression you evoked from her and Sage just the day before.
“The smell keeps changing. What’s with that?”
“How? Didn’t it smell like fruit yesterday?”
“Yes, but it’s like…”
She pulled down her surgical mask and smelled it once more.
Viper shook her head. Clearly, she knew the answer, she just didn’t want to say.
“Neon, smell this.”
Neon stepped up to the counter and took a deep sniff, before coughing and pulling away.
“Why does that smell like– bleh, it smells like a bunch of electricity!”
You stared at her in confusion, and she took another deep inhale, clearing her throat.
“Yeah, it’s like, it’s kinda like I stuffed my face into a thunderstorm and smelt it, you know? It– it doesn’t make sense, I know!”
“Probably shouldn’t have only one person to test the sample.”
Viper sarcastically noted as she hurriedly closed the vial. This, of course, earned an odd look from you.
“Wait– but yesterday you said that the smell was good. Why’s it bad now?”
“I don’t know. Maybe it’s linked to emotion. How do you feel right now?”
You blinked.
“Uh… Fine, I guess?”
Just as you said that, there was a loud yet unfamiliar knock on the door behind you, and you all looked over to see a figure push the doors open and let himself in. It was a large burly man. Tall, and by god, even though his ocean-blue colour scheme reminded you of Yoru, the aura he emitted with each step was one of confidence and joy you’ve never seen in anyone else, especially not in a workplace. It was a complete juxtaposition to everything the Japanese was.
“Good afternoon, ladies! How are we doing?”
He called out with an immense amount of charm, being met with a wide smile from Neon.
“Harbour, welcome back! Remember what I told you? We found your match!”
“I thought I heard some ruckus about a new bracelet-wielder around here.”
Harbour. That must be the guy with the bracelet artefact, you thought.
He stopped. And though he met your gaze, your eyes were locked on his arm, his own imposing bracelet taking over half of his forearm with mesmerising patterns, as if it was cuttlefish that would take on different colours to hypnotise prey. Moreover, it was gold. Unlike the weird gross green tinge you had, it shined brilliantly, harbouring the same confidence as its carrier.
“I take it you’re tired?”
You jumped and looked at him, your lids heavier than a few tonnes of metal. Clearly, he said a few things you didn’t catch beforehand.
“Huh? Oh, sorry, I was– uh, your bracelet’s so much cooler…”
“Don’t say that, I’m sure yours has its own unique–”
“Definitely not.”
Holding up your arm, your hand and fingers numb, you smiled awkwardly as you allowed him to take in your own underwhelming… artefact. You noticed a shift in his expression as he took a step closer and observed, but his response wasn’t what you expected.
“Wait, is this a plant, or what?”
Only now did you notice the bracelet’s new form. And to say it was incredibly awkward looking, especially compared to Harbour, would be a grave understatement. To put it in the most flattering way possible, it looked like you ripped out a rose, cut off the top, took the stem and tightly wrapped them around your hand.
It took on a more forest-green colour with a vague cherry red hue surrounding it, a dozen spikes slowly sprouting with a drop of clear fluid on the end of each one of them. Said liquid looked like the nectar your hand would produce, but more contained.
Sure, the green might literally be its ‘stem’, but what plant even looked like this? Besides the aforementioned roses, you couldn’t think of anything else that was red in this way.
“Harbour, before you train her, can you smell this?”
Viper quickly handed him the vial. And once he complied, you noticed his previously amicable expression quickly switch at this. The scent displeased him. It wasn’t like he was disgusted, either. It was something else.
“That’s…”
He smelled it once more, before handing it back to her.
“That’s just repugnant.”
“Repugnant? Why, what do you smell?”
Even she was surprised at the word he used.
“I can’t describe it. I– I think you should ask someone else instead. Now, let’s get going, those hands aren’t going to train themselves, are they?”
Barely given a moment to process from how fast he was going, you quickly stood up and followed him. But why was he so eager to leave the conversation after smelling the vial? You wondered, especially with how quick he began talking. Just what could be in it?
However, before you could ask, he suddenly perked up with a new topic.
“How long have you been in that lab for?”
“Oh, I don’t know, since twelve?”
“Twelve afternoon? That’s almost six hours. I can’t imagine how suffocating it would be to stay that long. No pun intended.”
You smiled to yourself, meeting his gaze as you each walked down an unfamiliar hallway. He didn’t say anything funny, you just couldn’t help but share his contagious joy just by the way he’d talk.
Harbour was a massive difference from Yoru, that’s for sure.
“No pun intended? What pun?”
“You weren’t told yet? Viper works with poison. That’s her whole thing.”
“Oh? Poison? But I thought– wasn’t she a doctor…?”
“Doctor? Well, if you consider submerging rats in acid as healing them, then technically she’s a doctor.”
You sighed and rubbed your temples, attempting to move your right hand’s fingers despite barely being able to feel them. But thankfully, by this time, the drugs had slowly begun to wear off.
“Is there anyone normal around here?”
Harbour laughed and crossed his arms.
“I’ll be the first to tell you, you’re out of luck with that. I can't think of anybody here that’s normal.”
“Looks like I’m the first one, huh?”
Harbour laughed, slapping your back with a considerable amount of roughness, enough to unintentionally hurt you. But you kept your mouth shut and simply smiled along. It felt like your shoulder blade was about to break in half.
Every new agent that would be introduced, it would take some time to get used to them, with how unique everyone looked. But the only unique thing about you was your ‘bracelet’, the dark roots deep within your arm that looked like veins from far away, and maybe your messy bob. Other than that, you looked completely out of place. Almost to a funny degree if it wasn’t terrifying somewhat.
Harbour then stopped in front of a doorway. Inside, you could hear distant banging. Few and far between, but each one still made you jump.
“What the hell’s that noise?”
“That? Probably Gekko training.”
Gekko?
“What kind of training makes this noise?”
He looked at you in amusement, still grinning.
“You weren’t kidding when you said you were normal, huh? Anyway, you’ve spent six hours back in the lab, you don’t want a break before we work on that hand?”
“No, no, no breaks, it’s okay. We can keep going.”
“Are you sure?”
You smiled and shook your head, clearly insisting despite your considerable need to lie down. It felt like you’d be a nuisance if you prolonged this anymore, so you couldn’t help but cave in.
“Sure. I’m a bank clerk, I can handle anything.”
“Is that so? Can you handle guns?”
You awkwardly laughed, hoping that he was being sarcastic since his cheeky tone supported this notion.
“Oh, please. I get held at gunpoint weekly at work, a little glock isn’t gonna do anything to me.”
“Haha, good one. Alright, come in, we’ll see what you can do.”
You weren’t joking.
He swung the doors open and allowed the air from inside to strongly hit your face like a solid bring, the strong scent of gunpowder entering your nostrils. And from the figure far away, shooting down a few dozen bots with smoke billowing from the red tip, it wasn’t a smell your hand could produce, that's for sure. Not since you yourself could smell it.
“Gekko, easy on the Vandal! Give it a moment to cool down!”
He shouted over the shooting, somehow, his deep voice dwarfing the sounds of the bullets. Enough to earn his attention and quickly comply.
“Hey, coach, welcome back! How was–”
Just as Gekko looked back, he cut his sentence short and smiled as you two approached him, the smell of fire growing stronger and stronger.
“Woah, who’s this?”
He quickly put the gun down, turned his body to face you in order to look more presentable. And by god, you couldn’t help but stare at his neon green buzzcut. With how exhausted you were, this bright colour managed to wake you up.
“We have a new one to train alongside you. This is…”
“Y/N.”
Gekko beamed at this, clearly excited at having a new recruit already.
“Y/N! What’s up? They didn’t give you a name, yet?”
“Yeah… no. She’s an active threat right now. Names will come after we make sure she won’t squash the base by accident.”
“Squash the base? Like the whole thing?! Jeez, I don’t even want to ask what you can do.”
You sighed.
“You don’t want to know.”
“Hopefully it doesn’t involve the radivore stuff, Deadlock will be on your ass if so.”
He winked with an immense amount of cheekiness, earning an eye roll from Harbour. But before he could get an earful for somehow bringing whoever that was into this, you heard a gurgle behind him, and a yellow creature emerged from next to his leg, an audible pitter patter with each slow step as it moved to get a good look at you.
You blinked and stared at it.
Were you dreaming, or what?
“Since when were penguins yellow?”
Gekko looked down in confusion, before he glanced behind him and saw exactly what you were talking about. And he couldn’t help but laugh at your assumption.
“No, this is Wings! He’s one of my buddies. You know, he’s part of that radivore thing I talked about.”
You knelt, getting a closer look at the critter. And he looked adorable. Especially with the armour plates and the purple mask thing he had over his face, complementing his beady white eyes.
“Is he a penguin, though?”
“Noo, no penguins! He’s a whole new thing, you feel me? I dunno what, but it’s… um, you know, I never really thought about it.”
“Maybe you should do the honours of naming the species, Gekko.”
Harbour joked, but Gekko seemed to take it seriously, saying something your tired mind didn’t catch.
Wingman slowly approached, his eyes clearly stuck on the bracelet. Probably since the vein-root thing looked pretty macabre when you spent more than a second observing it.
“Anyway, I’m thinking we take this training outside, like Brim said. Maybe a landscape, what do you think?”
Harbour noted. And Gekko probably said something in response to this, but again, you couldn’t focus on anything other than the mysterious creature in front of you. Also, how much you wanted to sleep. Hey, things were going well so far, why not enjoy yourself?
“He’s so tiny, I’ve never seen anything like this.”
You muttered. And on instinct, after the medicine wore off, you lifted your right hand to pet him.
“Y/N, I don’t think you should–”
A loud crash, though muffled, suddenly took over all of your ears.
You suddenly were forced up with an immense amount of pressure around your wrists, enough to completely restrict your blood flow. Harbour had grabbed your wrist and lifted you before anymore damage could be done.
“OKAY. Okay. You know what? I think we’re taking you–”
Then, a portion of the roof to your right tumbled over, squashing at least five bots with a loud bang that deafened each of you. And of course, that wasn’t to account for the debris that suddenly rushed so threateningly close towards you.
All colour drained from your face.
❤ฺ·。
Your entire right arm was drugged.
And despite her best efforts, Neon wasn’t able to convince you to leave her room to meet the rest of the agents, especially her friends, who’d just returned from their expedition. Or even help you forget what had happened. The only silver lining in this was that Viper hadn’t had the time to assign you your own room. Otherwise, she’d be banging and clawing at your door like a hungry cat.
“Y/N, relax, it’s fine! Harbour said the hole’s only a metre wide, it’s easy to fix!”
“I’M NOT MOVING.”
You shouted, your voice muffled since your hand covered the majority of your face. Mostly the lower part, but I digress. Since you were sitting on a chair with your arm resting on the vanity table (full of plushies you pushed away), she was able to place a hand on your back in an attempt to reassure you.
“I’m serious, it’ll be fixed in like, a few days. Are you gonna sit here your entire life?”
“Do you know what I heard when I came back here? The white haired one, she said; ‘why’s the training range out of order?’”
Neon knew you were referring to Jett. And yeah, duh, said range was most of the agents’ favourite spot to chill, other than the cafeteria. So putting out of order on your first day… Mortifying, to say the least.
“It was an honest mistake, Y/N. Nobody’s mad over it. Also we have like, a bunch of robots to take care of stuff around here.”
“I’m not leaving this room, Tala! When I meet those other people, I’ll probably pancake them! The only person who I sorta made a good impression on was Yoru, and that was its own brand of embarrassing…”
Neon took a step back and stroked her chin, suddenly falling into silence for the next few seconds.
Of course, being overwhelmed with the fact you’d crushed a portion of the base, even though Harbour insisted it was his fault for not bringing you out sooner, it took you a moment to realise that she was brewing one of her familiar plans.
Then, she took out her phone and gave you her back, taking a few steps away. And you couldn’t help but let curiosity get the best of you.
“Tala, what do you think you’re doing?”
“Nothing…”
Ignoring the dozen of messages she’d already received from her friends when they noticed her and your disappearance, she quickly opened Yoru’s (empty) DMs and began rapidly typing. Of course, of all people, he’d be the last to ask about your whereabouts.
‘HEY’
Surprisingly, he went online and saw the message pretty fast.
‘HELP ME GET HER OUT????’
‘SHE DOESNT WANT TO LEAVE MY ROOM CUS OF THE RANGE STUFF’
‘hell do u want me to do’
“It’s this stupid hand!”
You suddenly called out, grabbing your numb wrist and tossing it on the table like it wasn’t a part of your body. And under the sharp rays of the beach image she’d set to your right, it managed to highlight the roots inside. A few had grown thicker than your very fingers, and travelled through your entire arm towards your shoulder. Clothes concealed the rest of the details, but did you want to know what it looked like?
Thanks to the medicine, it prevented the bracelet from emitting scent. Otherwise the whole room would stink of electricity or whatever Neon said earlier.
“I wish I could just chop it off! I can go with one hand in life, why shouldn’t I?! I can switch to using my left one, anyway!”
Neon, while texting, laughed to herself.
“Not that I’m saying you should, but– why don’t you? Again, I’m not saying you should!”
You sat back with a deep sigh. Admittedly, you would never willingly amputate your arm. You weren’t that desperate. Or brave.
“Viper said the thing’s implanted in my nervous system, or something. It’s stuck to my brain now.”
“Unlucky…”
She nervously mumbled, continuously spamming Yoru with texts upon texts as you spoke.
“Hey, so, unrelated, how do you feel about Sage?”
“Sage? That healer one?”
Neon nodded and turned to your gaze, setting her phone to silent so that you wouldn’t hear the incoming notifications. She watched you shrug and turn your gaze to the string of pictures and posters hung up in front of you.
“I didn’t see much of her, but she’s nice, I guess. Why’s it always the healers who are nice?”
“What?”
“What?”
“Nothing! Okay, how about this. We talk to Sage, and since she’s nice and stuff, maybe she can help you out?”
You stared at her for a few seconds, before standing up and walking towards the centrepiece of the room, the haven of her plushes and freedom to do the most impossible gymnastics in her sleep.
“Thanks, but I think it’s better if I head to bed.”
“Wait, wait, think about it! She does stuff with her hands, you do stuff with your hands, it’s a match! Right?”
You plopped yourself onto the bed. And like a cocoon, you wrapped the blankets around you, completely concealing yourself. Neon let out a defeated groan.
“Goodnight, Tala.”
“Bah, you’re such a grandma! Who sleeps at nine?”
“Goodnight!”
You announced, and finally convinced her to give up.
She turned towards the door and closed the lights, before giving you one last look.
“I’m gonna introduce them to you, anyway. When you leave this room, they’ll all know who you are!”
“Sure, whatever.”
“I’m warning you!”
Among the maze you formed with the blanket, you somehow managed to slither your responsive hand out to give her a wave, earning a giggle from her.
“Is that permission granted? Thanks! I won’t disappoint you!”
And with that, the door slammed shut, miniscule particles of dust settling after the impact.

Mafia! BTS - You're Pregnant and You Don't Want to Keep the Baby
Warnings: mention and discussion of abortion and menstruation, mostly fluff tho
A/N: I've been sick these past couple of days so I re-read some of my old fics. I left off the BTS series on more of a family note but I thought I'd like to write the alternative reaction too. I had no idea I'd be writing this or anything at all but it sort of hit me out of the blue. I hope you like this fic and feel free to send in some requests (no promises, as always). Also, apologies in advance because I didn't proof read.
NEW MASTERLIST
* * *
Jin
You were sitting on the edge of the bathtub, a positive pregnancy test in your hand. You were biting your lip, your chest heavy with anxiety and fear. Lost in thought and emotion, you had no idea how long you had been sitting there contemplating your decisions when suddenly Jin appeared in the bathroom doorway.
"Y/N, what's-" he began yet lost his words when he saw the pregnancy test at your feet. You were playing with your fingers, biting your lip without even raising your gaze to him.
"Are you pregnant?" asked Jin quietly as he knelt down before you and took your hands in his.
"I think so," you whispered as you nodded your head. "But..." you spoke although you did not know what to say or how to say it. “I don’t think I’m ready… I’ve been thinking… I don’t think I’ll ever be.”
"Ever be what, princess?"
"Ready to be a mom," you confessed. The words felt sour on your tongue. You've always been taught to want to be a mother but deep down you never felt the instinct yourself. Becoming a parent felt like a notion forced upon you and whilst you admired women capable of motherhood, you simply never saw yourself in that role.
You confessed all of that to Jin. He held your hand in both of his, his thumbs caressing the back of your palms as he listened to you.
"Alright," agreed Jin once you had finished. "I understand, princess." He kissed your forehead and caressed your cheek. "I would never force you to do anything you were uncomfortable with. You're my everything."
Tears welled up in your eyes as you heard Jin's warm, gentle voice. You nodded to yourself and could not help but start to cry.
"Oh, princess, it's going to be okay," said Jin and pulled you in his arms. You wrapped your hands around his neck and buried your nose in the nook of his collarbone.
"Are you sure you're not upset?" you asked.
"I told you," he said, pulling away to look you in the eye. "You're the most important thing in the world to me, princess. I want whatever you want," spoke Jin softly and brushed away the tears from your cheeks.
Namjoon
You visited your personal doctor having been under the weather for more than a week. You couldn't keep anything down, not even your favourite foods, you had to pee what seemed to be every five minutes and you were feeling sore all over your body. Namjoon wanted you to see a doctor days ago but you were avoiding going to a hospital. However, you made a deal that if you wouldn't feel better by the end of the week, you would go and here you were.
"It's probably nothing, let's just go home," you said fidgeting your knee as you squeezed on Namjoon's hand that was resting in your lap.
"We're not going anywhere, love," assured Namjoon, "Let's just wait for the results of your bloodwork and then I'll take you home." He kissed your temple as you leaned onto him. You were as pale as a ghost but then again you haven't been feeling like yourself for the past fortnight.
"Ms Y/N?" called the nurse. You and Namjoon both stood up.
"Your test results are back," said the nurse, a strange shimmer in her eye. "Congratiulations, you're going to be parents," she announced.
It can't be. I can't be.
Like the flip of a switch your head swirled with sickness. You tried to catch yourself by Namjoon's arm when suddenly you hit the ground and your vision went dark.
* *
You woke just moments later, lying on a gurney. A soft groan escaped your lips as you reached for your head and rubbed your eyes. The neon white lights blinded you before you blinked and regained your vision.
"Y/N? Y/N, can you hear me?" asked Namjoon, his voice deep with concern yet he tried to sound calm and collected.
"Joon?" you mumbled as you struggled to sit up.
"Hey, hey, it's alright, slowly," murmured your boyfriend as he helped you up. He brushed the hair from your face and kissed your forehead.
"I was so worried," he whispered against your skin.
"Is it... Is it true? Am I pregnant?" you asked grievously as your eyes filled with tears.
"The blood results say so, yes," confirmed Namjoon. He was still cupping your cheeks, caressing you with his thumbs. "You don't seem too thrilled about this news."
“I’m just..." you began but your voice cracked. "I'm just not ready yet, Namjoon. It's too soon.” Your boyfriend studied you a minute.
"Did you know about this? Is this why you didn't want to go and see the doctor?" asked Namjoon, his voice calm and quiet yet laced with sadness.
"I... I don't how... I suspected it, I mean... My period was late but that could be because of the sickness, I just... I don't know," you mumbled, wiping the tears from your eyes but they kept on falling. "I know you want a family, Namjoon. But I'm not ready yet, I just can't-"
"Hey, shh, it's okay... It's okay, my love," spoke Namjoon and pulled you into his arms. "It doesn't matter what I want, princess. If you don't want this, than neither do I, I promise you."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course, I'm sure. Whatever you decide to do, I'll always be here for you, okay, love?" spoke Namjoon as he kissed the top of your head.
Yoongi
You were lying in bed with Yoongi on a lazy weekend morning. He was playing with your fingers and tracing sunlight marks across your arms. You had trouble sleeping all night, tossing and turning, feeling too hot then too cold, feeling anxious and sick and then finally you were able to fall asleep near morning. But that singular moment of being held by your boyfriend, of sunshine pouring into your bedroom relieved you of all tension.
That is until a nasty hot washed over your body and settled in your abdomen. Suddenly, you burst out of bed, starling both yourself and your boyfriend but you had no time for explanation. You burst into the bathroom and knelt before the toilet, vomiting like crazy.
Yoongi burst in after you and pulled your hair back, his free hand gently rubbing your back. You flushed the toilet, thinking you were done when suddenly another wave of nausea washed over your stomach.
"Jagi, what's going on?" asked Yoongi when you were finally able to lean against the side of the bath.
"I don't know," you mumbled as you shook your head but the same moment those words escaped your lips, your eyes opened and widened.
"What?" asked Yoongi.
"Nothing," you said quickly but he was not fooled.
"Tell me," he insisted and scooted closer to you where he pushed your hair behind your ear. You looked up into his eyes, studying him as you considered confiding in him or not. But if your suspicions provided to be true, then you would have to talk to Yoongi anyways.
"What... What if I'm pregnant?" you asked in a mere whisper.
Yoongi froze as if someone had just poured a bucket of ice-cold water over his head. His eyes drained of emotion.
"I don't think..." you began as you shook your head. "I don't think I'm ready, Yoongi... I don't... I don't think I'll ever be ready," you confessed. “I like the way things are. Just the two of us,” you whispered guiltily as quiet tears fell down your cheeks. Something about saying those words felt both like relief and condemnation at the same time.
"So do I," said Yoongi and brushed away the tears from your face. You looked up at him once again, wanting to see if he was truthful or just saying that to comfort you. But it wasn't in Yoongi's nature to lie and neither did he do so in that moment.
"But what if I am pregnant?" you asked.
"Then we'll go and see your doctor," said Yoongi calmly as he tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. He kept his warm hands on your cheeks, brushing away your tears.
"Please don't cry, kitten," he whispered, his eyes locked with yours. His heart was breaking seeing you this harsh on yourself, on something that happened by mere chance. "I'll take care of you, Y/N. Whatever you decide to do," promised Yoongi and pulled you into his arms where you locked your hands around his torso and leaned against his chest.
Hoseok
You were pacing up and down the waiting room, nervous for the result of your blood test. It has been more than five weeks since your last menstruation and you've been feeling far too sick for it to be normal - not only in the mornings but all the time. You couldn't sleep and you were sore all over. Although you did not want it to be true, you were not surprised when the pregnancy test was positive. Still, convenience store pregnancy tests were not entirely reliable so you had to see your doctor before you would even mention something to your boyfriend. You could not even imagine how this happened since you were always using protection.
"Ms Y/N?" asked the nurse as she stepped out into the hallway. She invited you back into the doctor's office where you sat down with your gynaecologist.
"We've ran the tests several time, Ms Y/N, but I'm afraid they always came back positive," said your doctor sympathetically. You told her of your concerns before the tests were made and could not do much else but nod. She told you about your options, about continuing the pregnancy and even adoption but those were not really options for you personally. Even when you saw the convenience store pregnancy test come out positive, you already knew you wouldn't go through with it should it be confirmed by your doctor as well.
"Right," you nodded but your voice was hoarse as if you had been crying. You did not think so yet when you touched your cheek you realized it was stained with tears.
You apologized quickly and took out a tissue but the doctor seemed to perfectly understand.
"Then... Would you like to make an appointment to terminate the pregnancy?" asked your gynaecologist. "I must inform you that you will need someone to escort you home after the procedure; your mom, a friend, your partner..."
That made you think of how you were going to tell Hoseok. Whether he would even want to come with you in the first place.
You nodded and discussed the procedure with your doctor but as you arrived home, your head was spinning from all the information. Your chest was heavy with anxiety and your head hurt. But as you opened the bathroom door, you found Hoseok with your positive pregnancy test in his hands. You froze on your tracks, your eyes widening as his gaze found your own.
"Are you... Are you pregnant?" asked Hoseok in disbelief.
"I just got it confirmed by my doctor," you nodded, your voice falling silent.
"What are you going to do?" asked Hoseok out of breath.
You shook your head as tears crept into your eyes. You couldn't understand why you were crying out of the sudden but you were. Perhaps it was the pressure, the anxiety, the hormones or all at once, yet suddenly you found yourself crying against Hoseok's chest. He sat you up on the bathroom counter and ran his fingers through your hair.
"It's okay, shh, it's okay, my princess," spoke Hoseok softly as he tried to calm you down.
"I'm not... I'm not going to keep it, Hobi," you sobbed quietly. "A-Are you angry with me?"
"What?" said Hoseok as he pulled away, holding your shoulders. "Why would I be angry with you, Y/N? It's your body and it's a big decision. Whatever you want to do, is alright with me, do you hear me?" he asked, looking you deep in the eye. Hoseok brushed the tears from your cheeks as you proceeded to tell him about your appointment.
"They said I need someone to help me home afterwards," you spoke slowly.
"You know I'm coming with you, Y/N," assured Hoseok. "If you like it or not, I'll be there. Always, okay?"
You nodded as more tears fell down your cheeks and you wrapped your arms around Hoseok's neck. "Thank you," you whispered.
Jimin
"Jimin?" you began slowly as you found your boyfriend sitting on the sofa, his gaze firmly on his favourite tv series. But once he heard your voice, his eyes found you and softened immediately. Jimin opened his arms for you and you gladly accepted, snuggling into his chest as your legs rested in his lap. But your chest was heavy with concern and anxiety. You weren't feeling like yourself these past days so you went to your doctor for a check-up. Yet then the results of your bloodwork came back, the doctor informed you that you were pregnant. You had never imagined this to happen and it was beyond you to even try to calculate when or how this happened. But the bloodwork was run several times and there was no doubt that you were pregnant.
You have never even talked to Jimin about whether he wants a family or not, you've barely even thought about whether you want one. But during the past few days that was all you could possibly think about. The more you contemplated it, the more you realized you did not want to continue this pregnancy. There were times in your life when you thought you wanted to have a family at some point but now that you were actually in this moment of decision, you could not possibly imagine raising a baby and starting a family. Perhaps it was too soon, perhaps you did not wish for a family at all. For now, Jimin was all you wanted and could ever need.
"Sweetheart?" asked Jimin, "Y/N? Are you okay?" he spoke once again, waking you up from your thoughts. Jimin pulled back slightly and looked you in the eye. You blinked and nodded your head.
"Yeah, no, I'm, I'm okay," you stuttered although even you did not believe your own words.
"What is it, sweetheart? Tell me," asked Jimin gently and caressed your cheek.
You licked your dry lips and glanced away.
"You trust me, don't you?" said Jimin and raised your chin to face him.
You bit the corner of your lip as you sat up on your own and felt yourself fidget unconsciously.
"I... Um..." you began but you seemed to have forgotten all the words. "I, um... I have to tell you something, Jimin," you said carefully and pushed the hair from your eyes. You were twitching your leg nervously against the sofa but did not know how to stop it.
"What is it? Tell me," insisted Jimin and took your hand, "Are you sick?"
"I'm pregnant," you blurted out. Instead of your chest releasing the anxiety it only grew larger and heavier, weighing you down. Your eyes watered with tears.
"Wh... You're... You're pregnant?" stuttered Jimin, his eyes wide and puzzled like a child's.
"But I... I don't want to keep it. I won't keep it," you mumbled distressed. "I just can't. I don't want to be a mom, Jimin," you hurried as big fat tears fell from your eyes. Jimin watched you as you spoke those words before he took your face into his hands.
"Whatever you decide to do, Y/N, I'll support you," he assured.
"You will?" you whispered timidly, looking up into his big brown eyes.
"What kind of question is that? Of course I will," he assured and pulled you close as he kissed your forehead.
"I'm sorry," you said, feeling guilty as hot tears wet Jimin's shirt. "I'm just really scared," you confessed.
"Hey, there's nothing to be sorry for, sweetheart, okay? Nothing," promised Jimin. "If you don't want to keep it, we can go see your doctor first thing tomorrow, alright?"
"Okay," you nodded against Jimin's chest as he caressed your hair until you calmed down.
Taehyung
You waited in front of the doctor's office for your appointment. It's been the second time that week that you've visited your gynaecologist; the first time because you've missed your period and weren't feeling quite yourself with all the muscle soreness and morning sickness. When your doctor gave you the news that you were pregnant, she could tell by the look on your face it was something you did not want; at least not at this point. She told you your options but to you there was only one - abortion.
"I'm here," said Taehyung out of breath. Your eyes widened as you looked up at his face. You haven't told anyone you were pregnant, least of all your boyfriend who had a soft spot for every baby and toddler in this world.
"Wh... What are you doing here?" you stuttered in absolute horror.
"You don't think I'd let you go through this on your own, my love?" spoke Taehyung softly and caressed your cheek before taking your hands into his lap. His fingers traced comforting shapes in your skin but you were too stunned to notice.
"How did you find out?" you asked dismayed. Taehyung turned to look at you, an utterly foreign expression on his face. His eyes were soft but sad and his features sombre.
"How could you think I wouldn't?" he spoke gently, "They called me since I'm your emergency contact and you didn't arrange for someone to escort you home," explained Taehyung.
"That's... That's why you're here?" you asked slowly.
"I'm here for you, Y/N," said Taehyung and squeezed your hands reassuringly, "And whatever you want."
"I wish you'd told me, though," he added.
"I thought you'd want to keep it," you spoke quickly yet quietly.
"I would," confessed Taehyung, "But it's your body and I would never force you to do something you weren't ready to do, Y/N." He tucked a stray lock of hair behind your ear before he pressed his lips softly to your forehead.
Your eyes watered. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you, Tae," you admitted. As you spoke those words, your doctor appeared in the doorway and invited you inside.
"It's alright, my love," spoke Taehyung comfortingly and kissed your hand. "I'll be right here when you wake up and I'll take you home, alright?"
You nodded and wiped the tears from you eyes. "Thank you," you murmured and hugged him before you went with your doctor.
Jungkook
You were pacing up and down your bathroom, staring at the timer on your phone. You had taken a pregnancy test because your period was unusually late. Although there was no guarantee it was going to be positive, you had a feeling about it. It's been on your mind for days and so was the decision of what to do if you were indeed pregnant. You had no idea what Jungkook's stand was on it but it was your body at the end of the day and you had no intention of starting a family yet. Perhaps one day in the future but doing so now would be a mistake.
Your phone began buzzing just before the test showed you were pregnant.
"What's going on?" asked a deep voice. You gasped and jumped around, startled by Jungkook's presence. He wasn't supposed to be home for hours and you had hoped you had more time to consider what to say to him, how to tell him the news and your decision.
"Is that..." began Jungkook as he noticed the blue-white stick in your hands.
"I..." you stuttered.
"Are you pregnant, Y/N?" asked Jungkook in disbelief as his gaze found yours. His eyes were wide and his lips parted.
"I... I think so," you admitted and showed your boyfriend the pregnancy test. Your hands were shaking from all the emotion. You did not know what to feel. Jungkook frowned.
"Are you scared of me, kitten?" he asked carefully, his voice deep and husky.
"N-No," you said and shook your head. "I... I don't know..." You bit the inside of your cheek, fidgeting with your hands.
"Y/N..." breathed Jungkook as he reached out for you and pulled you to his chest. You leaned your head against his torso as he caressed your hair and you finally let out all the emotion. Tears stained Jungkook's shirt.
"I... I'm really scared, Jungkook," you sobbed quietly. "I... I don't w-want to be p-pregnant," you confessed, your entire body trembling.
"Shh, it's okay, kitten, it's okay," spoke Jungkook against the top of your head where he left soft, comforting kisses. "Everything will be alright, I promise."
"Hey," said Jungkook as you began crying even harder. He cupped your cheeks and made you look at him whilst he brushed away your tears. "We'll see your doctor so that they can confirm you're really pregnant. And if you are, then we'll make an appointment to do whatever you decide to do, alright? Everything will be okay," promised Jungkook once again.
You nodded and hugged him tightly. "Are you not angry with me?" you stuttered.
"Why would I be angry with you, princess?" asked Jungkook astonished.
"Because... Because this even h-happened or I... I don't know..." you whispered as more tears stained your boyfriend's shirt.
"This isn't your fault, kitten. It just happens sometimes," spoke Jungkook quietly as he kissed your forehead.
"And... And you're not angry because I want to end it?" you asked once again.
"I want whatever you want, kitten. That's never going to change," murmured Jungkook against your lips before kissing you gently.

||Feeling The Blues.||
Summary; Kano has undiagnosed depression and horse!!!!! Horpe!!!!!!!! :333
A/N; obsessed with these two 🤞🏼😍 + Laser Lasso is their ship name :P
Word count; 784.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kano sighed as he laid in bed, staring at his laptop screen as it played random fail clips. He sighed, thinking of moving but his body wouldn’t listen so he stayed in the same position, staring blankly at the screen, exhausted and bored.
He couldn’t remember the last time he took care of himself. The last time he showered or brushed his teeth was probably a few days ago if he had any guess. He’d just been buried under his covers, half his face shoved into his pillow as he was too tired to flip himself over and even more so to get up. He probably couldn’t even sit up, just shift his feet a bit to find an even slightly more comfortable position.
Most of him had probably gone numb though he didn’t have it in him to test it. Probably the lack of actual nutrition. He remembered eating, what? A sandwich and a lunchable or two yesterday and, like, 4-5 Coca Cola’s, he didn’t keep track.
He probably smelt like absolute shit, but nobody was around to prove or deny the claim.
Suddenly, the door burst open and Erron’s Outworld horse, Kirali, poked her head in. She had a pretty pink bow on her main, keeping a small bundle of her already short mane in a little ponytail. She looked around, seeing the screen and the lump under the covers and strolling into the dark room cautiously, stopping and standing over the bed. She let out an equestrian huff and nudged Kano with her snout.
She looked to the screen and saw Kano’s face, illuminated by the device. She nudged the laptop, letting out a small neigh. He sighed. “What?” He spoke in a hoarse and unused voice.
Kirali dragged a hoof down the bed.
“No, no, Kirali. No play.” Kano replied.
Kirali huffed and stomped her foot, dragging her hoof down the bed again as a demand for playtime. “Kirali–” She neighed, shaking her head as a way to say she wasn’t taking no for an answer. Kano sat up and paused the video, sliding to the edge of the bed and sitting there with his sore muscles. Kirali nudged her snout against him, neighing happily. Kano rubbed her snout.
Kirali walked out of the room and returned with a plastic ball the size of a basketball, rolling it inside with her hoof and nudging the door mostly closed. She rolled it to Kano’s feet, allowing them to play while not having to force his muscles to work after so long not being used. Kano picked up the ball and gently threw it, making Kirali quickly chase it and roll it over with her snout, stomping her feet happily.
Kano chuckled, “I know, you're happy to play.”
Later, Erron entered the room. “Kano–” He stopped when he saw Kirali laying on the ground, a new pink bow in her tail as she rolled a ball around with her snout.
“Never took you for an equestrian lover, Kano.” Erron said, looking to the Australian.
“Eh, she got me out of bed just to play.” He sighed, stroking her head, making her let out a content huff. Erron walked over, “You look like what I assume a zombie would look like before it starts rotting. What happened? You don’t normally look like the Grim Reaper forgot to pick you up.” He asked, concerned. “Just the blues, y’know?” “The blues? Looks more like depression to me. When was the last time you, uh..felt energized? Or ate something that is good for the body?” The cowboy responded, waving his hand.
“Fuck if I know..” Kano looked off awkwardly.
“I don’t mean fruits and veggies, just, like..some Burger King? Like two burgers, fries, soda. That’s good enough; fills you up.” Erron said.
Kano shook his head.
“Even worse, big guy.” Erron sighed, brushing a hand through his hair. “Listen, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. We all have days or weeks or months where we just wanna rot away in bed but I can’t let you do that to yourself, baby.” He took Kano’s hand but quickly retracted it, surprised. “You’re actually warm for once. That’s weird..” He noted.
Kano chuckled, “I know, I know. Been burrowed in my blanket for God knows how long.” He retorted.
“Okay,” Erron said as he took Kano’s hand, stroking the tan and calloused skin. “Well, let’s go take a bath then we can eat.” “Can she eat with us?” Kano looked up at him with puppy-dog eyes.
Erron sighed, “Yes, Kirali can eat with us.”
Kirali let out a happy neigh and Kano cheered. “You pair of dorks.” Erron shook his head, smiling lovingly under his mask.

Hello! I really like your writing, and I was wondering if you could perhaps write Bennett and Older Brother Reader? (platonic ofc, I'm not into incest)
The reader lives in Inazuma and decides to surprise Benny by visiting him during the Windblume festival!
-Aspheera
(AA... This scenario is so cute, I love writing platonic things!! Also sorry for taking this request extremely late! And sorry if any lore based things are wrong I haven't been on genshin in a while (。ŏ﹏ŏ)..)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Bennet X OlderBrother!Reader
CW: Nothing Bad Just Fluff, Platonic!
Synopsis: Recently You Heard News Of The Windblume Festival Going On And Desperately Wanted To See Your Brother Bennet! You Ultimately Decided To Surprise Him. (Beidou Is In This Because Obviously You Need A Way To Get Out Of Inazuma lol.)
Tumblr media
This time you had too, you've been aching to see your brother Bennet. It's been a while, the complications mostly come from you guys living really far. You live in Inazuma as Bennet lives in Mondstadt, this makes you guys very separate and it makes it even worse knowing Inazuma is surrounded by nothing but the sea and it's just as hard to leave. Hearing news of Mondstadt's one of a kind: Windblume Festival you decided it was just the right time to go see your brother. You've been planning how to get out of Inazuma for a while but when you recently met "Captain Beidou." She recently offered to help sail you out of Inazuma and get to Mondstadt.
So here you were fixing your hair getting yourself ready, You had to sneak to a more sandy and secluded part where her boat would be parked, everything has been planned out as you were gleaming with joy, imagining Bennet turning around to the sound of you yelling "Hey Benny!" To him. And just as excited to step in the Nation Of Freedom. As you place your wooden brush neatly onto the shelf you run to your door swooping up your shoes fastening them tightly.
You take one final breath, storming out your house and to the place you and Beidou arranged. There was her big wooden boat with the nice flags for safe sailing. You've never actually been on a boat before so I guess it was more of a challenge to test if you had sea sickness.
"Beidou you up there?" You yell out. Suddenly she perks up staring down at you. She gives a soft smile. "Just on time I see, someone's quite excited." She says. She leans down on the wooden edge of the boat. One of her crew members throws down a ladder for you to easily climb. You make your way to a ladder climbing up onto her boat. You notice all the boxes lying around, and all her crew members eyeing you. "Welcome aboard, Y/N." Beidou says, giving your shoulder a pat. "So will there be complications getting out of Inazuma..?" You say. Beidou looks at you letting out a hesitant sigh. "It's more of a maybe. Sometimes these waters can be really aggressive. Especially with lighting. So I suggest you be careful." She responds. You nod your head, you never really went head on with the seas of Inazuma or the lighting but if those extreme measures were needed to see your brother you'd take them.
Your eyes shift open, you ended up knocking out on the boat. It was a very long exhausting ride. Beidou walks in motioning you to come out. You walk out and the bright sun hits your face along with this weirdly calming breeze.. You were here.. You took a moment to really take in your surroundings. You've been to Mondstadt before, it's where you were born before moving to Inazuma. But there was something so calming about the land that made it all the more better. "Y/N are you good from here or do you want us to get you to the town?" Beidou says, her eyebrows raising a bit along with her eye patch. "I'm good, I won't get lost." You say. You've already prepared a map. Beidou smiles and you wave bye to her and climb back down the wooden ladder stepping onto Mondstadt's land. Now the only task was just to get there..
When you saw them tall buildings and the nice stone bridge you knew exactly where you were. You also noticed how nicely decorated Mondstadt was even from a far view. But inside just made your jaw drop. Mondstadt was beautifully decorated head to toe with Blue accents and flowers extending across some of the buildings. You didn't know how it was possible but The Nation Of Freedom definitely knew how to make it feel like "Freedom." You noticed a bunch of people walking around talking to relatives and giving gifts to them as a sign of love and admiration.
Your eyes dart around for any sign of Bennet. And your eyes widen. There he was. He was on a balcony of some sorts seemingly just chilling there, but oh you can imagine what his face will contort into once he sees you. You decide your best bet is to not scare him but to sneak up behind him and say the nickname you gave him. You sneak your way to the staircase making it up the balcony, right behind him.
"Hey Benny!!~~" You say in a sly tone.
The familiarity in your voice elicits Bennet's head to whip around to look behind him. He lets out a short gasp taking in your presence. Before he takes everything in him to run into your arms. You swing him around happily. "I've missed you so much!!" Bennet says in pure happiness. "I've missed you too! I thought that maybe I could try to spend the Windblume Festival with my best brother ever!" You say back. Bennet finally decided to release you from his hug and he looks up at you. "How did you even get out of Inazuma?" He says. "A good friend of mine helped me... And uhh.. What is Windblume Festival about exactly?" You asked.
You were quite embarrassed by this question you asked. You completely forgot about what Windblume Festival is all about.. But Bennet smiles happily and clears his throat. "Well in my Terms it's a festival celebrating Mondstadt's Freedom. And it's about giving gifts to your loved ones and basically looking for love, oh! And to also offer Windblume's to Barbatos! It's just really a festival to spend time with the ones you love." Bennet says happily. "And now we can spend it together!" You respond. Just the thought of you spending such a festival with your Benny was enough to keep you on the edge.
Hours and hours went by of you and Bennet running around exploring all the nice things to do during the Windblume Festival. One thing you did was go to SpringVale to put the wreaths on the Foxes head. But when the sun started going down you and Bennet found yourselves chilling on the edge of Mondstadt's bridge.
Bennet randomly sniffles. You touch his shoulder quite confused till he hugs you tightly with tears running down his cheeks. "I'd never thought I'd see you again.. thanks bro.." He says. You couldn't help but smile and sigh before ruffling his hair. You playfully nudge his forehead causing him to laugh. You both stare at each other before both pulling something out of your pocket and saying in usion.
"I got this for you."
You both widened your eyes. In both of your hands was a heart necklace that interlocked. A souvenir you secretly bought for each other but wasn't expecting for both to buy the other half. "Wow.. Guess great minds think alike?" You say with a short giggle following. You and Bennet both put the necklaces on each other. "I can't believe we almost got the same gift." He says with a slight amused smile. "Hey... You're my other half anyways." You nudge Bennet and he rests his head on your shoulder as you guys watch the sunset.
"Do you have to back to Inazuma...?"
"No Benny, your big bro will stay here for as long as you like."
Silence filled the air until a short click was heard.
The heart necklaces interlocked.

so we're at the final double-episode of the rtd run *wipes brow*
look I'm biased. I'm sure we're all biased in terms of which era we started in, whether it was nu!who or classic!who pre-post rtd... but it's just such a good run. it just is:
obviously brought doctor who successfully back to life and returned it to its status of one of the most iconic pieces of television of all time
updated it to a 21st century storytelling format and audience, with a focus on the companion as the lens through which the show was introduced and the fact that the doctor needs them on a deep, fundamental level that echoes back and gives depth to some classic companions that maybe never got their proper dues within the show, and ripples forwards right into 13's run with bringing classic companions back!
emotional follow-through, with one long arc spanning from season 1 until the next regeneration. I've heard/seen some people think that ten near the end, and especially in the last episode, is self-indulgent and whiny, but I just... idk that is incorrect imo. this iteration of the doctor is a survivor of war and genocide, and clings desperately to people who eventually leave, and they tend to react very strongly to the continued death around them until they decide to literally test time to see if they can beat it and save someone who Shouldn't Be Saved, and then, just when they maybe have found a measure of peace with it all, they have to knowingly go and die. it's a lot for the character to emotionally compute, I think ten is allowed a little tantrum before going through with it, because so much of that regeneration is the universe using ten as a punching bag (after nine was so excited to see what came next too...)
like yeah, it's angsty writing, but that's kind of the point. emotional follow-through on concepts (immortality, transience, alienness, etc) that previously were a tad brushed over, with an added specific survivor's guilt + PTSD thrown in for good measure
speaking of all the people who leave for whatever reason -- companions with families and high stakes at home and individual personal reasons for travelling with the doctor, and for having to move on from that travelling. no longer mostly stumbling into the tardis and then sticking around until suddenly back home (or um... a couple of times dying), and reeeelatively comparably easy goodbyes (for the most part) -- being left over and over, or making the decision to go on alone, or seeing people die, hurts. and on the flipside of that, seeing all that splendor and then having to go on with life... what does that do to a person?
although chris eccleston unfortunately didn't have a great time and deserved better, the atmosphere once behind-the-scenes found its footing was clearly so supportive and friendly. people were coming back year after year (and so many of them have come back for rtd's new run, which I think says a lot too)
I know the music isn't technically underrated, but I think the music is kind of underrated actually, especially individual episode scores. the companion scores, the gallifrey score, the ood choir, the action score that was introduced in s3, and so many more, all perfection and show up wonderfully as various motifs in different places, but individual episodes had perfectly tailor-made scores (some personal favourites are dalek, father's day, impossible planet/the satan pit, gridlock, human nature/family of blood, midnight, and waters of mars)
similarly to the doctor being self-indulgent, I've also heard that dtennant is overrated, which, again, I get it. I don't agree, but I do think that some people don't engage enough with other iterations of the doctor, and so aren't really giving "the doctor as a whole character" their due shake, but sticking only with ten's narrative. that being said there's nothing about dtennant's performance that I think is anything less than amazing. and there's a reason that ten is so beloved, and it's that the main themes of the nu!who soft reboot rtd era stories that people weren't sure would last beyond a season or two, are carried on ten's slender slender shoulders and dtennant does it perfectly (see, I do think there could be less romance in ten's run, because it never works for me, and that's partly that the writers themselves seem to be shy about it/not quite sure what to do with it (because it shouldn't be there in the first place) but that's not the performance, that's unfortunately dtennant's jessica rabbit-ness). the point being, this was for a new generation that was coming from a different television background, and it was done pretty perfectly. and also dtennant loves doctor who, absolutely loves it to bits, and that shines through... the fucking nerd
rtd's main flaws (there are none I'm kidding!!) are that things can get unwieldy once they get too big, and there are times where one can see the cracks badly covered by duct tape in the format and pacing of some of the bigger adventures. that being said, every single rtd finale (from the flawless bad wolf/parting of the ways to the messy bitch that is the end of time pt1+2) is always at the end about something incredibly (for lack of better word) human. it's always about the relationships between the companions and the doctor (and also the doctor and the master, but that makes sense). the doctor and rose, the doctor and martha, the doctor and donna, the doctor and wilf (honorary companion). and the pretty big cast of characters that make them feel real -- rtd may at times be messy but he is hardly ever boring or emotionally vacant. the story itself might become untethered, but the emotions are firmly understandable
(that being said, fingers crossed that 13 years of post-doctor who have given him more sense of what to keep and what to scrap, so that the specials can be both silly and serious, without the seesaw completely ripping out of the ground -- I mean, mainly I hope it won't be wanky and self-congratulatory, but I have faith on that front! we'll see in one month)
this era of television did something that has barely ever (has it ever?) been done before. brought a story back and made it not only work, but near-perfectly balance respect for the classic, with leaps and bounds into the new. it created a brand new generation of fans, and brought along the older ones too
as a kid I didn't think any of these things, because I was just watching doctor who through the gaps of my fingers (I was a very frightened child overall). and like I said, bias ahoy, because nostalgia will do that to you, but you know what? it's still good. it's really really good. I'm so glad that it's part of my DNA

Sunlight
Content warnings: vampire whump, referenced character death, protective caretaker
The young ones always forget about the sun. Sunlight is mostly a benign danger when you are human. Of course, there is the risk of blistering red skin if one stays outside for to long a time, but on the whole, it is harmless. For newly reborn vampires though, it can be the kiss of death. The resistance to the sun grows as the centuries pass, but a newborn is incredibly susceptible to the harsh rays. Oliver had watched one too many newborns get caught in the early morning sunlight after a night of prowling and hunting. The burns start small, sometimes even going unnoticed if the newborn is enraptured by prey. But as the morning sun crests the mountain, the true pain starts.
This time though, it was his fault. It was a morning not long after they buried Angel. The broken bond was tender between them. There was a tenuous thread holding theirs for the moment. It would rebuild, reshape, and change to accommodate the loss of Angel’s amber line, but it would never feel the same again. Leo was newly turned. Still testing the new found abilities that went with vampirism. The increased night vision, the strength, the hearing, everything became so new and interesting. The smallest movement from a firefly would send Leo’s focus into oblivion. Taking him out that night had been his attempt to help bring some peace to the chaos that had happened. Nothing would take away the sting of losing Angel, of the all too vivid memories of his broken, bleeding body. The flash of silver entering his chest. That last moment of light leaving his eyes. It hurt. It hurt to think about. It hurt to not think about. He had made Angel and Leo an impossible promise, that they would be safe with him forever. But he never imagined that this would be the consequence of that promise being broken.
Leo stopped in the middle of the path, grabbing hold of Oliver’s hand to pull him to a stop. It had been a rougher action that Leo had intended, the sudden force of his hold jerking Oliver backwards a step. He quickly righted his footing and turned to look at his mate. The soft rush of water underfoot reminded him of where they were. He had been so lost in thought he hadn’t realized they had already reached the bridge. They were nearly back in town. Nearly back to the once happy home they had built together, the three of them. Now it felt empty and cold without Angel’s presence.
“What is it my star?” Oliver asked, pitching his voice lower than usual.
Leo flinched regardless of his care, his hearing very sensitive to sound so close but he wasn’t looking at Oliver. His gaze was fixed out over the water. Leo moved to the stone wall, letting his hand slide out of Oliver’s, leaning against the damp stone. The morning dew was settling in around them, dotting the grass, and cooling the air. Oliver stood back and just watched Leo. His mate’s hand brushed over the stone and he jumped, his gaze suddenly very far away. His gift of psychometry was stronger than ever. An ability barely present as a human, it had grown to a capacity that Oliver had never seen. It would take time for Leo to gain control over it but for now, every time he touched an object that had a strong imprint on it, he was dragged into a vision. If Oliver wasn’t careful, he would become stuck in the visions. He had learned how to gently pry the visions hold away from his mate and bring him back, coaxing him to talk about what he’d seen.
A pleasant smile crossed Leo’s lips. It was the first smile he had worn for days and Oliver was content to allow him this. He would give him some time, see if he could start to work his own way back, and hopefully enjoy whatever peaceful memory was attached to the stone beneath his fingers. Oliver moved closer, leaning against the wall beside Leo, admiring his beautiful profile. The world slowly lightening around them.
When the sun broke over the mountain, chasing away the early dawn pinks and purples, Oliver came back to his senses. Leo gasped as the sun shown against his sensitive skin, small burns forming far too quickly along his cheeks. Leo’s gasp of pain was more than enough to pull Oliver from his reverie. He quickly grasped Leo by the shoulder and dragged him down into the shadow of the stone wall. The pain appeared to have wrenched him from the vision, he was blinking rapidly with reddened eyes. He grunted as the sunlight quickly coasted higher, burning pain beginning along his back and shoulders. Though he was much older than Leo, he wasn’t of an age yet where the sun wouldn’t affect him. Leo curled more closely to him, trying to escape the light that was now arching over the wall, diminishing the shadow.
“I’ve got you,” Oliver murmured, adjusting his hand to grab the edge of his cloak and draw it over Leo to create better protection between him and the cruel light. He grunted at the pain that sparked along his burning skin, like an overly tender sunburn. Gritting his teeth he tried to cradle his startled mate. Their bond sparked to light around them, swirling and reflecting like a beautiful ribbon. The sight of it shouldn’t have brought tears to his eyes but it did. It was the first time he had seen it since that night. If he looked very hard, he could still see the beautiful amber, so faded and weak but still there somehow. Leo reached up with trembling fingers, brushing against the bond. Leo’s mouth opened and closed like he was struggling to find the words he wanted. He caressed the edge of the bond, tears sparkling in his own eyes. “It’s still so beautiful, even without him.” He finally managed, the tears glittering down his cheeks, the sunlight reflecting off them and leaving red marks in their wake.
Oliver didn’t realize how much he had needed to hear those words. The reassurance that even without Angel, their bond would survive, that they would be okay. He couldn’t find the right words to reply and the sun was only getting harsher, welcoming in an intense summer heatwave. “Put your arms around my neck.” Oliver said and Leo complied, hissing as the sun burned his arms and hands. Oliver gathered him close to his chest and took off as fast as he was able into the canopy of the trees they had come from. The forest path would provide them some relief. More places to take refuge until the evening. The relief for Oliver was more immediate. Without the sunlight directly on his, the burning pain ceased, leaving only tenderness in its wake. It would fade to a muscular pain by the end of the day and by night, it was only be a faint ache. Leo wasn’t so lucky. He hissed as he moved his arms off of Oliver’s neck, and Oliver gathered his hands close. The skin had blistered just that quickly.

You don't have to read this. I'm just having a rough time. A health and money rough time, which is such a double whammy, and I just had to get it out.
It feels like this was entirely out of nowhere, but I guess it wasn't. I've had hip pain for a while now. It's on and off. Like it would get aggravated, then heal, then aggravated again. I finally got an answer about that. I have old age problems. In my spine mostly. One of those things most Tumblr users truly won't understand and will go pale over as they sit comfortably in their 20s and 30s.
And like okay. Fine. My spine's melting slowly over time. That happens to lots of people. My age is usually when it starts. But also it suddenly hurts a lot. In the last two weeks, it got way worse all at once. I bent over, something wrenched, and since then I've been kinda fucked. The MRI showed that whole spine melting thing, which is supposed to be gradual, but also a bulging disc, and that's probably what I did right there. I slipped something out of place.
So the problem is... All this test taking happened because I had some blood tests that made it look like I had an autoimmune disease. So I went to the specialist you see for that: a rheumatologist. She ruled out basically everything, and when my MRI came back, she said welp! That's not my field! And waved goodbye and offered me nothing beyond that.
I went to a spine specialist, and they offered options. All of which were vaguely scary. Take a pill everyday. Get a shot in your back. Get physical therapy. So I said can I get some physical therapy? And they said yes. That's happening in about two and a half weeks. The problem is, since I made this decision, the back pain has flared to a new level.
Now when I get done with a day of work, no matter how low impact it was, I'm in pain. Two ibuprofen? What are you, NINE? No, we need at least four at a time. My already terrible GI tract is really hating this, by the way. Last night, for the first time, the pain woke me. I couldn't get comfortable. I couldn't lie in any position that didn't hurt. I was EXHAUSTED and couldn't sleep because the pain was too much.
So now I've stayed home from work, icing my back, taking four ibuprofen at a time, getting emails from my supervisor, still in pain, looking at a future with possible surgery in it and wondering you know... What happens if I can't walk? What happens if the pain won't stop and I can't sleep? How will I afford these procedures and specialists?
Because wanna know the other thing that happened? My car died. I had to replace it in a rather emergency fashion. So that was pretty much all the money I had saved up and a new car payment hanging over my head. My health insurance is... not the worst but far from the best. That MRI was covered by most of it, but I still have to pay a portion. So I may not be able to get the care I need at this point.
I'm feeling really overwhelmed and alone. Everyone in my immediate family has passed away. Everyone in my extended family is not interested in helping me out and are hyper religious to boot and do NOT know certain things about me. Keeping them at a distance is for the best. Everyone around me is getting their ass thoroughly kicked by inflation. There's not a lot of hope here. I'm trying very hard not to look at this pain as "this is my life now", where I can't sit for more than 15 minutes at a time and can barely sleep. But, hell, it might be.
The hopeful part... I'm trying to get my general doctor to fill out some paperwork that will make work easier on a lot of levels until I can figure out what I'm doing. So, you know, when I call in my supervisor can't email me and make me feel like shit, that sort of thing. And the physical therapy I'll be getting truly is the most highly recommended first course of action when dealing with something like this. But I sort of wish that specialist hadn't brushed me off after I just received a pretty scary test result. Because now I feel ignored and alone. And I really wish my car had made it a few more months, because now I'm broke, too.
TLDR: I'm broke, my back hurts, and it all sucks.

A STORY OF HOW WE MET
Working in a hospital environment is not an easy feat. I have to be up in my toes all the time. I was a good cardiac technologist. I was fairly new and was just recently assigned to the EMERGENCY ROOM.
I was busy going about my day in the ER. Couped up in our station, the overhead monitor will just announce the need for me when it arises. Then we go and finish our task at hand. It's a routine.
I was busy chatting with my coworkers, when I heard the startling cackle of the overhead monitor requesting assistance in the Primary Care.
I sighed. It annoyed me a little bit that someone from Primary, the non critical patients, still need my test. But hey, it's work. I got up quickly and pushed my machine towards the small room. Turned left and entered the slightly cramped space they have for me.
I mostly just look down and made sure no one gets rolled over by the machine. Don't want anyone complaining.
A nurse approached me and gave me the request for Bed 6. I agreed and turned my head and just stopped in my tracks.
The nurse's station usually only has 1 or 2 nurses waiting. At that moment, there was only one. It was her.
She was bent over a chart, probably studying it. Reading it over and over. Her hair reached just below her chin and some of her fringe fell to her eyes. She brushed it off and started writing on a piece of paper or maybe on the chart. I don't really know. I couldn't focus. I just looked at her face.
Her face was such a dream.
Her lips held a smile that doesn't look like it was smiling. It was more like a permanent smirk that means she's smart. I loved it. Her nose was arched perfectly with the bones of her cheeks. Her hair was dark and a little wavy. She took a slow breath and closed the chart, raising her face towards where I was standing. Towards me.
It felt like the world slowed down a little bit. No, more like went on hyper slowmo. Her hair fell to her eyes again and with her hand she brushed it up ever so slowly. It was causing some sort of commotion inside my chest, her movements. She wasn't looking straight at me but I know I was melting. I wanted to run as my heart skipped and was almost going to arrhythmia. I felt the tug in my heart that made me lose my breath.
She was soooo pretty. Solemn and perfect in her blue uniform. The steth on her shoulders swayed slowly as she stood up and stamped her little stamper. She pushed her pen on her chest pocket and carried her chart, ready to leave the station.
Oh my dear heart has started pounding like crazy as she looked my way again. She was now heading towards the door out of Primary Care when I caught a curve on the side of her lips. Just a tiny bit. I'm not sure if she was smiling, maybe not. Her face is one with a warm smile on it all the time. The kind of smile that reaches her eyes, as sincere as the person who holds it.
I kept looking, pretending to wait for my patient that I have not even attended to. Didn't even reach Bed 6. I watched her slowly talk to a patient in Bed 2 and studied how she moved. All her gestures were causing ripples in my chest.
I wondered what was happening to me. It was the first time I ever felt like that. It's exhilarating.
Suddenly, no one else was in the room. She looked straight at me. Her eyes, ever so radiant and clear, looked straight at me for a split second. Those lips I was so mesmerized at, hooked up into a curve and smiled. A friendly smile that took a good 8seconds for me to recover from. I gasped in air but forgot to breathe it out. She left and went out of the door.
What just happened?? Did I just meet the love of my life? Did she just look at me, smiled at me? She didn't know me but she smiled. Oh my God that smile. I have it framed in my head for the next two decades.
By the way, I was called again on the overhead monitor and immediately went to Bed 6, finished the test.
Her face was stuck in my head. The prettiest face I have ever seen. Oh dear, I think I just fell in love. I didn't even know her name.

Do you think that Victoria or Rumpleteazer are the types to be “creative” about their orgasms
Rubbing up on legs, using their tail as a “toy” and such
Another good question anon, so (again) thanks for the ask. Please let me know what you have in mind in terms of what could be deemed creative in your mind, and who you are thinking. I love hearing the thoughts of others.
Rubbing up on legs (or anything) is a pretty good thought in all fairness, especially in a sort of desperate way if you get what I mean. Wanting so badly to feel pleasure or connect with someone that you cannot wait. Aside from that, I did briefly mention way back that using tails during sex would be a good concept, but have never went back to it since. I think there is potential with tails, particularly with queens. I do wonder how much someone could use their tail on themselves or others to brush against sensitive spots. Sort of in line with sensation play is what I am thinking.
In my opinion, Vic is not overly creative with getting off. Mostly from a standpoint that she, and by extension her mans, are not terribly adventurous. She always gets what she needs from traditional methods, and would not have much desire to explore past that. If it works, it works, and it works anon. She does not need to be creative due to that. Between her and Plato, while the sex is straightforward enough, they do have more flexible (sometimes quite literal) positions that they like, but even then it is not too unusual. Pleasure is so rewarding for her, and at this point, she has yet to grow bored with what does the job. Even with Rumple, the other queen is so enthusiastic about making her squirm that there is not too much that gets 'off path'. Though most of what could be deemed creative with Vic would come out when they are together, particularly with any sort of rubbing. Plus, she could be gently coerced into something different by her partners depending on the situation, more so by Rumple than by Plato (because Plato is literally always content with just having her and does not need to adjust anything).
Rumple is essentially completely opposite to Vic. She lives to explore getting off, and simply enjoys everything to do with finding new ways of pleasure. New positions, new pacing, new objects / toys, new people (to a small extent), and / or new places. She does testing rubs against anything she thinks would feel good, and she is usually right about it. She humps and rubs against pillows, (clean) pieces of furniture, other's legs, other's faces, other's hands; basically anything that catches her eye. Rumple has also used her pearls to her advantage, and those have proven to be a very good thing. Given her nature, she definitely seems like she would stumble upon something totally unexpected that she takes advantage of as well. The vibration or buzzing from a refrigerator or washing machine that she suddenly finds to be much more exhilarating than a simple source of noise.

Your public display of affection
Pairing: JJ x Reader
Word Count: 1.6k
Summary: He really wants to test your sense of adventure on this ferry ride.
Warnings: Smut, public sex
Available on: AO3
Part of: Passion lies in screams of ecstasytic dreams
Tumblr media
“I’ve got an idea,” he whispered into your ear, sitting next to you, nuzzling your neck.
You were, in the back of Mr. Heyward’s truck that you...borrowed. Pope and Kie were up front, bickering about something, John B and Sarah were supposed to meet you at the beach later this evening, leaving all the preparations to you.
It was John B’s birthday and you really wanted to get him a nice present, so you decided to take the ferry to the next big town, grab something really cool that he wouldn’t expect and then drive right back.
You barely had made it onto the ferry, it was packed with cars but for once, you got lucky.
“What is it?” You turned your head to look at your boyfriend who was grinning from ear to ear. You knew that grin, something dirty was going through his mind at this very moment.
An eyebrow wiggle was the only answer you got before he grabbed the blanket next to you in one hand, patting on his lap with the other.
Playing along, you sat down on his lap and he wrapped the blanket over you two, making you feel loved and comfortable. There was quite the breeze out here on the water, so it wasn’t too strange to use a blanket.
People were mingling around you, getting out of their cars to check the water and waves, getting back in, some kids were running around but mostly teenagers and adults. It was summer after all, one of the busiest times in these areas.
You felt how his arms wrapped around you from behind, causing you to lean back into his chest, snuggling a little closer.
Suddenly his hands moved under your shirt, starting to grope your breasts for a moment. You gasped and the unexpected touch and leaned a bit to the side so you could look into his eyes.
“Trust me, darling,” he murmured and smiled at you when his hands went down to pull your shorts down, letting them rest at your knees.
A blush painted your face, not really sure what to think about all of this. You were in a public place, the blanket just needed to fly away by a gust of wind and everyone would see your exposed lower parts.
You had to bite your bottom lip to keep a moan from escaping when he shoved your panties aside to run a finger through your folds. Lust was building up inside your body, a surge of heat running through you.
“Oh god,” you whined quietly, everyone around you so close. He just chuckled next to your ear, the rumbling in your chest only turning you on more.
“Yes, my love?” The blonde boy brushed his lips against your cheek, causing you to shudder slightly.
Two fingers were pumping in and out of you, turning you on more and more. You had a hard time to keep still, just wanting to squirm in his grasp but he had wrapped his left arm tightly around you.
“What are you even doing?” You asked, still surprised by the whole thing. It wasn’t something you had done before. In private, sure but in public? This close to people? No way to hide in shame if someone caught you?
It was arousing and scary at the same time. The thought of being watched and caught in the act. It did something with you that you couldn’t explain. Excitement and shame mixed together.
“Trying something new. Where’s your sense of adventure?” His voice was low, barely more than a whisper, lust dripping from every word just like you were dripping on his fingers, coating them with your wetness.
He pulled his fingers out, wiping them on your inner thighs that were covered by the blanket before you could feel him shift under you, moving the two of you up a bit, his eyes darting left and right if anyone was watching at the moment.
When he felt safe you could feel that he pulled his cargo pants and boxer shorts to his knees, sitting back down. His skin was heated against yours and you swallowed hard when his dick pressed against you from behind, already hard and ready to claim you, right here, with everyone around.
He took a moment to simply rub himself against your skin. For everyone else it would look like a cute couple cuddling in the back of the truck. No one would expect anything that was going on under the blanket.
“Come have a seat,” he snickered into your ear and without even a question you obliged, shifting under the blanket to sit down on his dick.
Your body tensed when you felt the hot tip pressing against you, your eyes also on the lookout that no one would catch you or even just get the idea what might be going on.
“We don’t have all day, darling.” With those words he grabbed your hips and pushed them down on his length, causing you to gasp in surprise, almost moaning a little too loud.
You covered your mouth with both of your hands to keep it inside but that would already look quite weird if someone was watching you right now.
“My, my. You have to be quiet.” This was amusing him way too much so you clenched your thighs, causing it to grow tight around him which almost made him moan.
“You really need to stop talking,” you whispered a little more aggressively and he grabbed your hips again, the grip almost bruising.
JJ slowly started to move his hips and you leaned back into him, trying to look like you were just relaxing in his arms. Thanks to the breeze, the moving blanket didn’t look too suspicious but you were sure if someone would actually pay attention to you two, they would figure it out.
“Fucking shit, babe. You’re so wet and slippery, you’re really enjoying this.” He stated it as if it was a matter of fact. Your mind was still trying to deny it but the mix of risk and pleasure was something that got you going. You didn’t even know until now.
Your nipples were straining against your shirt, his hands resting on your stomach now, trying to stay as calm as possible while he was moving inside of you, tickling all the right spots.
“Answer me,” he purred into your ear. “Tell me how much you like to be fucked in public.”
You bit down on your bottom lip, swallowing hard at his words, another surge of heat running through your body. It was already bad enough and yet he turned you on even more.
A quick, rough snap of his hips let you know he wasn’t pleased with you not answering. “Come on. I want to hear how you love doing this. All those people around you, me buried deep inside your sweet little cunt.” He nuzzled your neck with his nose, licking your skin briefly. “Tell me that the idea of this excites you. I can already feel it but I want to hear it from your mouth.”
You swallowed down another moan that almost escaped you, closing your eyes to take in a deep breath. “I love it,” you said quietly but he just growled. “I love the idea of getting caught.”
“That’s my good girl.” He kissed your neck before picking up the pace a little, one hand moving to your bundle of nerves between your legs, rubbing them.
Your eyes opened and you looked around again, the pleasure almost unbearable. Normally you were a moaner, quite loud and he wasn’t a quiet one either. You were surprised he was able to keep it together so well while you were literally fighting with yourself.
A knock on the glass behind you caused both of you to stop in your movements before you heard Pope’s voice.
“Hey lovebirds! We’re almost there, get ready!”
“Alright, thanks bud!” JJ called back to him before turning to you, a cheeky grin on his lips.
“Oh god, what now?” You asked him and he started rubbing your clit again.
“I want you to come at least,” he whispered and your body tensed, his dick starting to slide in and out of you again.
“We’re in public!” You hissed at him, louder than you expected and you groaned in annoyance of yourself. At the same time you also felt that you were getting closer to your orgasm.
“So? You love it.” He was right about that and he knew it. You hated it.
You leaned back against him, trying to calm your breathing but that didn’t even work anymore as he picked up the pace, rubbing your clit more forcefully and just the way you showed him. Just the way you liked it.
“Fuck, JJ,” you moaned as quiet as possible, feeling his dick twitch at your words.
It only took a few more seconds until you fell apart around him, squeezing him right and he groaned in your ear, making you shiver.
Your body was shaking, your breath erratic and fast until you were slowly coming down from your high. He was still inside of you, still hard and it was making the whole thing of calming down really hard.
As if he sensed it, he laughed softly against your neck. “Don’t worry about me. We’ll have more time later to finish this. Maybe on the ride back already.”
Just the mere idea of it sent excitement straight to your core.

Relationship hcs: chausseurs
Roland:
okay we all know this man has too much energy
prepare for spontaneous dates
sometimes he just picks you up and runs to a new cafe that opened because he just remembered where it was
surprise: you get lost
Roland is the type of person who forgets all your important dates (like birthdays and anniversaries, that man doesn´t even remember his own birthday so don´t hold it against him)
he´s actually super romantic but his gestures are always a bit too grand, a room full of flowers sounds nice but at the same time: where are u gonna sleep now?
out of the three he definitely takes you on the best dates though
mostly because he always finds the best spots
not even on purpose, he just loves walking through the city with you and will stop and literally every shop that peaks his interest
he´s actually not that dense when it comes to confessions, probably the one who confessed first too
since he doesn´t have a problem in expressing his own feelings he loves pda as well, he just loves showing you off (which pisses the others off sometimes but as if he cares, sometimes he does it just because of that)
he will make you feel like a royal at all times
worships the ground you walk on
he loves picking you up the most
also tickling you
loves hearing you laugh
he gets lost in your eyes so much and loses his track of thought every single time, just stops talking all of a sudden
his favorite date activity is probably stargazing because he loves walking around nature anyways and is a fan of romantic gestures and such so those cheesy dates are the best for him
Astolfo:
this bitch
he´s team: I´ll never fall in love (partly cause he´s petty that he´s the only single one and partly cause he knows he´s a lot and doesn´t want to do that to his partner)
cue you entering his life
that guy´s brain suddenly doesn´t work anymore
seriously, he can´t focus anymore, it´s a problem
it takes so long for you two to actually get together
which is all his fault because he´s too intimidating
you wanted to confess three times and he always brushed you off saying he had no time etc.
mostly he did that cause he literally doesn´t know how to act around you and therefore pushes you away like everyone else
you literally have to get Roland´s help to finally get him to listen
Roland and Olivier always teased him about him being dense, they told him a bunch of times you liked him but he never believed them
you´re way too good for him
he will test your patience, so much so that in the end you just yell at him that you want to go out with him
everyone hears
up to this point you didn´t even know he was capable of blushing but yup he is
he´s stuttering as well, it´s really cute
just yells back at you trying to confirm that it isn´t just a joke
Olivier is muttering in the background ´how can anyone be this hopeless?´
you look at him dumbfounded and just drag him with you to the city into some cafe
once he calms down it´s actually a really nice date
he´s a great listener and makes you laugh
gets super possessive of you but nobody will dare to even look at you
Olivier:
he loves to dance with you
not too romantic in gestures but he sometimes will say the sweetest things to you out of nowhere
not a fan of pda at all but he is so fucking clingy in private
he´ll even let you do his hair
he loves playing with your hands for some reason
getting alone time with him is so hard because of his work
but he actually misses you a lot, especially when he has to go on a mission with Roland
he´s a good cook and his favorite dates with you are either a home cooked dinner or a picnic where no one can disturb you
he can only sleep if he has you in his arms and yes he has an iron grip, he won´t let you go
he will avoid letting you meet his colleagues because he´s lowkey scared you´re gonna leave him (he doesn´t want you to think he´s incompetent because the other two are such idiots)
however you annoy him so much that he just can´t refuse you anymore after a certain point
the first hand embarrassment he feels when Roland just hugs you out of nowhere and won´t let you go all like: yayyy you´re part of the family now!
he will tell you all the embarrassing things that Olivier has ever done and latter isn´t having any fun because you didn´t need to know any of that
you actually get al0ng quite well with Roland and Astolfo
so in the end when you get home with Olivier you´re kind of sad he never talks about work
because you´re actually super impressed about his strength and praise him for it which he is surprised by since he feared you´d be bored by work talk
now he´s way more relieved though and tells you everything much to your delight
