#mostly I just love the narritive potential in that idea

I buy that Alistor is on Liliths leash. How he got there, no idea, but I'd believe the real reosen he's hanging around Charlie is under orders considering how vaugh he's been about his motivation.
BUT. What I don't buy is Lilith being the big villen. I've seen a lot of people theorise that she's been missing because she's screwing around with heaven or she left because she saw Lucifer as weak or something, but I'm sorry. I just don't see it. Like.
This Lilith???
Your gonna argue THIS woman just up and left her family??? No. Just- no. I don't believe it for a second.
So where IS Lilith, then? If she's not the big bad, pulling strings from behind the sceans, then where is hells queen? Well, this is where I get into speculation territory:
I think she's been kidnapped by Roo.
#bek rambles about crap#hazbin hotel#lilith#it gets fucking buckwild from there#like the idea that Roo is actually Eve#which I whole heartedly believe#She litterally committed the original sin#the root of all evil#you see it right?#even better#big fan of the idea that Lilith is so shrouded in mystery because roo (eve) started inpersonating Lilith#mostly I just love the narritive potential in that idea#how far back did it start?#clearly Charlie dosnt know but dose Lucifer#did he just look at Lilith one day and go 'hang on. thats not my wife'#or dose he not know???#for all he knows did his wife just up and leave one day???#he still wares his wedding band!#so eather he's sentimental or lillith didnt just leave she genuinly went missing#and he's under the impression there still a cupple#I NEED TO KNOW WHATS HAPPENING THERE

[All Female Clan/Kanashimi no Mura Anon] Do any of you guys write fanfics? If so, what are your favorite types and can you link some you've written? One last thing - what is your stance on reader inserts in general? I'm a writer myself and it's comforting knowing that there's other writers who like the same things as I do.
I do, though I’ve been a bad writer and haven’t updated in a long time (Dom wants to murder me). If you want to look at my abominations they’re on my FF.net account, Synpitou. I have two Naruto ones still up, the rest are for other fandoms.
I mainly read OC or SI fics, or reincarnation type ones. Like Vixen Tail’s Déjà vu no Jutsu is an absolute must read if you haven’t already. And Lang Noi’s Catch Your Breath.
And by reader inserts do you mean the ones that use [Name]? I’m not too fond of them - I myself like having a set name and appearance for characters. R’s response also further explains my dislike.

I’m still writing it, but… well. I’m perfectionist at the worst of times…
I go by abscission on AO3 - it’s for different fandoms, and there aren’t a lot of works…
R says everything there is to say about second-person RIs, but I have a little more to say about Naruto SI OCs as a trend.
In general, I disapprove of stagnant characters, which is the biggest pitfall about RIs and SI-OCs. When writing those, the author has to remember that the piece of OC that’s them is absolutely only the background, and treat the OC like any other character. No special snowflakes, no special plot armor, no staying stagnant. These OCs are absolutely their own character, and there is no excuse for treating these OCs like a tacked-on afterthought in the canon plot line just because it’s SI-OC.
I would also like to see more quiet OCs. Passive, observant OCs that thinks and plans and acts on their own when the time is right. I love canon divergence AUs involving OCs, because we get to see canon characters in a different light.
Sadly, the SI train seems to be mostly happy-go-lucky loud-extrovert touchy-feely balls of energy as of now. Write more diverse characters, fellow authors!

I’m out of the fic game these days. I used to be … all about Quizilla though. I wrote so many. So very many. If anyone can find a way to time travel back in time to find them… please don’t find a way. Somethings are better left in the past. My username was so bad. So bad. I had a brief time making stuff on ff.net? But I only lasted like one chapter on each of the stories. I’ve been thinking of getting back into the fanfic game, but between NOCC, my job, and uni, I don’t have the time to invest in it. And just write them all in my head. I like OC stuff, mostly. Crack fics are my very specific love. My favourite fics from other writers in the fandom are Kill Your Heroes by Evil is a relative term, Romancing the Kazekage by Valentine999, and The Beauty of Imperfection by Kouralia.
I think reader inserts are interesting. They’ve got as much potential as any story, but the YourName-chan thing is a hang up I have as well. I think a problem with them is that it can be jarring? I think the goal of writing is to immerse your reader, but coming across something in brackets can snap a lot of people out of the narritive and remind them that it is a story.
Reader inserts you have an added layer of difficulty to them (I say that but you should consider this for non-RIs as well. It’s just more important in RIs.) Not only do you need your character to be believable, you need them to be someone your reader is okay with ‘being.’ You need them to be someone you’re okay. That doesn’t mean they need to be perfect or bland. But you need to think of how the reader interacts with them, as well as how the character develops. It can be hard to see the world through a character’s eyes if you hate something about them. It’s a balancing act. Like most thinks character-creation.
But I think writing them in second person (”You wake up”) is fine. Homestuck did it. And nobody really had a problem with it? Plus, a lot of video game fics do something similair? Using a substitute name (like whatever you named your Dragonborn or Inquisitor) isn’t usually a hang up if people are invested in the character’s journey.

My writing accounts haven’t been updated since 2010, but I do still write in my downtime! I just never finish anything I write, so I don’t bother posting half finished projects :’) I’ve been slowly reading more RI lately, but not for the Naruto fandom. For the most part, I like RIs, but it’s difficult to get absorbed in them because of those “fill in the blank” description boxes (”[Y/N],” “[H/C],” etc). They just seem unnecessary to me. Other than that, I think RIs are great!

Long ago in a fiction world far far away there used to be an avid fanfiction writer who went by some weird emo pen name on fanfiction.net. But then everything changed when real life and responsibilities attacked. So now I’m just an avid reader after several failed attempts of writing fanfiction (it’s not that I wasn’t good. It’s just… procrastination and always having new fic ideas took a toll. HOWEVER I DO HAVE A NEW ONE IN THE WORKS. HAHAHA.) but yeah. I love me some SI OC fics. Or just any fics that have OC’s. I’m just sorta picky? I don’t know. I like, for instance, I only read a fic that has 20k words written already. Or fics that have main characters I like (which tbh I have a lot of faves so it’s not hard) and that are written well. BUT YEAH. SI OC’S ARE GREAT.
