The other thing I want to know about Sisi is where/how she was imprisoned. Was she straight-up in jail somewhere? Or was she sent to some village in the middle of nowhere and simply not allowed to leave that area? My preference is the latter for several reasons—not the least of which is that it’s way easier for Huaisang to find her and eventually bring her away from an isolated village than it is for him to do either of those things if she is yet another denizen of Jinlintai’s basement, but I don’t know if it says!
