I have been absolutely hopeless about posting new work here on Insta. So many of my fellow artists have such a great social media presence, but I admit I lack the patience and the attention span. Scrambled to finish this pretty little baby work yesterday in time for the @cpsartshow dropoff, only to get a call notifying me that the show has been cancelled. As someone who was on the @derinya_dace committee for 9 years, I know firsthand how although these shows are a labour of love, they are REALLY HARD WORK. The planning, coordination and execution is a year-long endeavour, so to have to cancel the show just a week away from opening would have been devastating for everyone involved, and I am so sad for all of you 💔. I am also sad and worried for us artists, who rely on these shows to beautifully exhibit and sell our work.
