Hey, don't cry. Tamriel Rebuilt is a massive community modding project that seamlessly adds the mainland of the Morrowind province to Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, okay?

Bunch of cosmic horror themed Morrowind mods came out recently, and I took the time to try them out.
First was Beyond the Firmament, a very Event Horizon themed spaceship mod. There were some fun moments in this, hampered by me not realizing that my entire lighting scheme was royally fucked up and nobody told me. Some fun dungeons and moments here, plus some good scripted stuff. My only two problems with it were that the mananaut (yes there's mananauts, it's a space travel mod) had kinda weak voice acting, which was odd considering they were willing to at least some voice modding tools for the other characters, and that the interior of the ship itself probably could have been a bit more creative.
Next was The Dark Shard. This was definitely the best written of them but probably my least favorite. A lot of its cooler mechanical moments (like a supposedly working telescope) were hampered by a lot of technical issues that I had to code into bypassing myself (even after the fixes), and a lot of quest portions that were basically just running blindly around an area until things progressed. I think I've finally realized I don't like Find The Thing parts of quest mods anymore, and a good portion of this mod was that.
Finally, my favorite ended up being Into The Abyss, which was of course inspired by that anime about the fucked up misery hole in the middle of nowhere. This ended up being a big fun nonlinear dungeon crawl with a unique mechanic that, if you ended up going higher or backtracking, you'd be severely penalized. Basically a lot of me enjoying a quest mod nowadays comes down to me going "ooooh that's cool" and that had more than a few moments of that.

Morrowind: Miner Arobar, Councilor of House Redoran
Depicted here wearing his Redoran Master bonemold armor with Armun-An-styled pauldrons. The helmet from this elite armor set was stolen in 3E 427 by the Thieves Guild under the orders of Aengoth the Jeweler. Twas only because of entailed embarrassment of acknowledging the theft, the Arobars did not raze Rat in the Pot to the ground and plant Aengoth into a wood-elf-sized grave somewhere halfway to Bal Isra.
P.S: I think Arobars would rather commission a replacement piece. Bonemold, a rubber-base material, is not especially enduring - it would't raise suspicion to do so.
